Not a lot of back issues if youre a collector but a very nice shop with some great old stuff displayed along with new

Ordered online and my books/manga came in today! Packaging was wonderful and they were so easy to deal with! I had an issue with payment but it was so easily resolved!! Definitely could not recommend them enough! Hopefully one day I can visit the store!

They are beyond friendly and helpful to the max! Ask them anything about comic! Amazing! I travel from northwest Philadelphia to the center city store because they treat me right, special! I am not the only one that feels this way!

Great comic and collectible store in the heart of olde city. Everyone that works there is very nice and helpful. Friendly atmosphere and loads of books and statues, figures, miniatures for you to get to see in hand.

It was ok. Lots of cool stuff, not a whole lot different from other comic stores though. We came on Saturday and the girl working there didnt say hi when the 4 of us entered, we were in there for at least 15 minutes and not a word from her. She was just talking to a guy in there the whole time about the upcoming Captain Marvel movie. I liked the green lantern light on the wall. Otherwise the 4 of us wont be visiting again.

The store is well lit and nicely laid out. The staff was attentive and helpful. The selection of comics, graphic novels and collectibles was great. And their online comic ordering system is a breeze for picking up orders!

Nice shop. Horrible customer service. The employees here are not helpful. There have been times where i entered the shop and the vibe is super negative. Ive put up with this for over 20 visits, today was the last chance. I came to the shop today, i was there before 11 am waiting outside, manager opened door to place their sign outside by the curb. She looked at my friend and I, did not say hello and then slammed the door, flipping the open sign behind her. These people have bad manners. There are plenty of other shops in the city I highly recommend going elsewhere. Especially if youre a new collector.

Overpriced...Selling a Pokémon ETB for $90 and retail is $50..smh...this is how they look out for the community?...Stop supporting shops like these that are scalping..

Horrible manga selection, no dollar books/quarter bins because of covid restrictions??? rude employees who care more about weird political things then being nice/good people. Avoid this store at all cost and read the other negative reviews to learn about how the girl who works here is super rude.

For the size great little comic book shop on 2nd street. I would say I wish they had better signage on the building because I kept missing it and walked right past it.Good stock, great staff, really nice collection of Gundam build kits.Their membership location is even bigger by Willowgroove area will check that one out later.

The shop was great to visit they had a select collection of pop figures that i havent seen at any other comic book store. If your a collector then i would highly suggest going here they have a nice selection of statues and comics in the back of the store they also have games and gundam figures that you can build and collect i would highly recommend coming to this store i cant wait to go back and collect more pop figures i might even pick up a statue or two

My boyfriend loves this store. Vast selection of comic books. If comic books are your jam and you are in Philly, definitely check out this store. The staff are knowledgeable and chill. No pressure to buy anything.

First time ever in the store today and the person helping me with my Batman comic book couldn’t have been nicer. As a first time customer I had questions about maintaining a piece from my dads collection and learned a ton about what to do to keep the integrity of the comic book safe. I was educated and cannot recommend this place enough.

The manager was the one working the front desk, and he was super nice and helpful. Any time I had a question about a comic, he had an answer, and he was knowledgeable about all of them, not limited to just Marvel, or just Batman, of anything like that. I asked a lot of questions while I was there because Im fairly new to comics, but he didnt seem put off by my frequent questions in the slightest. I definitely want to come by again if I am in the area.

Love this spot. Staff is super nice and seem to really enjoy the work and have pride in their shop. Bought few books from them and seem to have a really diverse selection, but I patron cuz its also like the only place in Philly that sells Gundam model kits. Again, decent selection and comparable to online pricing with shipping considered.

My new home for comics Graphic novel and Funkos they have a lot of statues and action figures too and can pre order one week ahead ..and pay it online so can pick up and go, but I always see around the store

They had a really big selection of toys, books, comics, games, and collectables.

I remember one of the employees here stole my credit card info to buy toys for the store to sell to customers. How corrupt is that? Fortunately, my cc company reimbursed me. But it did hurt my credit score for a bit. I havent shopped here since and never will again.

What do we do in a new town? Look for DND supplies! Great selection of comics here. Staff was super helpful and friendly.

Nice little local comic store with current stock and an offering of back issues. A nice display of comic statues when you first come in the door and my only quibble would be is that they didn’t have a bin of cheap loose action figures to paw through.

Big variety of comics but I was there specifically because I collect gunplas. They had a huge array of gunplas from HGs to RGs and Master Grades as well. They also have a discount system where you get $10 off your next purchase after spending $100.00. Highly recommended for people who are into this niche hobby!

The pops available are overpriced, like the ones worth 6 bucks they still retail for 12. But hey I didn’t mind supporting the local shop until the gentleman working there seem like he didn’t want to be there. Total turn off.

Very cute toy store for the kid in all of us. Has great toys that you will have forgotten about since you were a kid. Great place to shop for Christmas presents. Plan to spend some time in here. The shop isnt big, but it has a lot of neat stuff!

Its a comic book shop with a lot in stock. I bought a D&D book when I was there last but be forewarned its not a huge place. But they do offer a lot of different things.

By far the best comic book shop Ive ever been to. Even with being in the Philly area, this shop is worth taking a trip to. Their back issue stock is really large and chances are they have what youre looking for. Combined with awesome and friendly staff, any comic book reader is going to feel right at home here.

This is such a great comic book store. They have a really excellent selection and very nicely laid out. They have amazing enamel pins. Although, they are very overpriced. but they give you a lot of good deals on other stuff. There was a lot of bargain bins and they had a bunch of comic book collection sort of books that were half off. Highly recommend doing the store.

Well organized and laid out with a decent backlog of contemporary titles. No strange smells, no dungeon dweller vibe that you get in many comic shops and conveniently located just off Market Street. Its easy to lose an hour in here.

This was one of my favorite places to go when I lived right around the corner on Cuthbert street. It is fun and always had the games and comics I was looking for. I am very happy that this place is still there after being away for a year and an half.

Greatest place on Earth

This is a very nice looking comic shop, that is certainly the first thing you will notice about it. You are immediately greeted with a few cases of awesome collector figures in the front cases. They have a great selection of new comics and miscellaneous comic collectibles. I picked up a pretty hard to find Thor variant at a decent price here.My only complaint is that their back issue selection is incredibly lacking. If you are looking for older comics this isnt the place, but if you are in the market for newer comics and collectibles I would recommend Brave New Worlds.

Brave New Worlds is a fun comic book store is a wide selection of comics and graphic novels. Friendly staff is always ready and willing to help or just provide an engaging conversation. If you are a board or card game fan, this is a great place to pick up a game if looking for something fun to do on a night in with friends -- they have a larger than expected selection, which includes some of the most popular titles.

A rarity when it comes to comic shops.I shop at the Philly location and will continue to do so, as long as comics dont go digital! Lol.

Great singles selection for magic the gathering as well as having a nice stock of product. would recommend for MTG singles. i dont know if theres a good playing experience there

I stumbled upon this place one day. I was just minding my own business and I saw a plethora of collectiblesin the window. Its a well kept secret I had no idea it was there I dont know how long its been there but I had never heard of it and I love comic book places. The prices are within reason. I bought some t-shirts from there.

If you are a collector of toys, a tabletop gamer, or a comic fanatic, this place is for you. The staff are friendly and they respect the customers. 5 stars!

I recently started reading comics again and trying to rebuild my long lost collection. The guys who work there are super friendly and helpful; recommending books based on writers and artists you dig. I live in South Philly and I prefer going to Old City rather than Rittenhouse or South Street. The service is that good.
