Ive been going here since I was a kid. The store owner and staff are always nice and real down to earth. They have a good deal on the cereal and snacks. And, the sandwiches are always good especially the breakfast platters which are a quick go to when I have a busy morning and sometimes dont have the time to make breakfast for myself.
Great bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. BLT hoagie also solid. Prices are fair. Good selection, everything from basic tools, pet care, household cleaning, produce and more
The store has everything you need for groceries. The kitchen makes delicious food- especially the breakfast sandwiches and cheesesteaks. The staff are all friendly too.
Ive lived in the neighborhood going on 6years. No complaints, friendly staff, good corner store food, convenience is key! Oh and its very clean, papi dont play.
Covid update, June 2020: risky to visit. No distancing and generally little mask wearing by customers and staff. Staff/owners do not ask customers to wear masks.
The food in this shop is good and most importantly they give you lots of it for cheap. If you are looking for a big meal that cost the price of two sandwiches any where else. The store has everything you need on the shelves and all for lower prices than any place in town. The service is fast and about as welcoming as the sign outside but it is totally worth it.
This is a hood store, that still remains in University City, in a area that was once hood, but has now become more gentrified. The best thing about the store is that it is very clean. This is the only reason to give it one star. However, the people in the store, can be rude at times, and lack in customer service. In addition, they frequently blast the music over excessively loud speakers, and you will either get a bad headache / or overtime experiencehearing loss, whichever comes first. Mostly who patronize this store are African Americans, who seem to unfortunately have grown use to very bad hood mentality customer service from places like this. They also get a lot of foot traffic, from the nearby West Philadelphia High School. My advice is to only use this store as a last resort. Youll get better customer service at the Fresh Grocer, at 40th and Walnut, with better prices. It is sad to see people coming into this store using Access card to pay inflated prices, or in general waste money on higher priced products.
Clean store makes the best American and Spanish food for great prices
The best kitchen
$4 cheese steaks. make sure to ask for pickles.
My Go To Bodega for a quick drink or bite.
This store cons and rips off customers and seniors all day long,,,the trick you into thinking they are nice and they are your friend only to devert your attion away asto add on more money to the totle.they keep talking while they ring up your stuff,, then someone eles in the store comes up and draws your attention away, they scam more money, the key thing is ...you dont even know they made an extra 6.00 off you,,,,,why do u keep going in there store? they dont like you!!! they are not ur friend !!!!,i saw them steal an elderly ladys 20.00!!!! stop patronizing people who are stealing from you
The food is great and the people are nice.
