Very good place to try liquid Nitrogen ice cream and dragon breath snacks. The Korean guys is helpful. Bathroom fire customer only which is fine. Exotic Ive cream flavors to choose from. Perfect for a summer outing.Recommend here: Dragons breath snack and any LN2 ice cream.P.S : do not be scared of a few drops of liquid Nitrogen falling on your hands. Itll evaporate faster than a blink of an eye. Dont ever get it on your clothes or socks.
You can get all sort of sweet treats here: waffles, froyo, nitrogen ice cream, butter beer and more. Highly recommend their blueberry nitrogen ice cream and strawberry cheesecake waffle! They dont use whipped cream on their waffles but rather some kind of soft serve ice cream instead which I think is amazing! There are seats for people who want to sit in and hangout. Will definitely return
Very cute and creative dessert cafe! They have movie themed drinks and desserts and delicious Belgian waffles that are unlike any Belgian waffles Ive had. There are pop culture references all over the store with posters, action figures, everything right down to the tables and cushions are movie themed and they even have a mini arcade game! It is a very small cafe but such a great concept!
I came for the dragons breath! For those of you who havent heard of it, its a kind of tasteless, soft, crunchy, almost cheeto-textured (without the cheese) dessert in a cup with liquid nitrogen at the bottom to give the effect of breathing like a dragon. Picture worthy, of course. Been here a few times specifically for that, and have only had good experiences. It comes quickly, and there are two dipping sauces on the side if youd like to use them. Youre required to read and agree to safety precautions because, if handled incorrectly, liquid nitrogen can be dangerous.
I love the science behind the ice cream, but the flavor was lacking. I ordered butter pecan and it tasted like frozen milk with pieces of pecan inside. She was making two orders at once: my butter pecan and someone elses cookies and cream. Both mixers were the same base and only the add-in was different.
Hits the spot each time, every time!Ive been here a few times now and I love the vibe and unassuming feel. Its sort of a hidden gem even though its next to all the action in Old City. Inside, the place is littered with movie decor and memorabilia including some tongue and cheek takes on classic scenes. Creates a fun environment for all ages to wander about examining the different signage and artifacts. The claim to fame for this joint is their Dragons Breath delicacy. The dish consists of chilled corn puffs served in a metal tin infused with liquid nitrogen. As you bite into a corn puff - you can breath out the cold air that follows! So much cooler than vaping =P!As far as the rest of the menu - its small but diverse. I like how you can go from breakfast to dessert (cant go wrong with house made froyo!) on their menu without feeling limited or overwhelmed with the options. I do think a few more vegetarian friendly selections would be nice.Overall - a solid spot for any meal and its close enough to walk to and back from the waterfront. Youll definitely be asking for a sequel or trilogy after the first time in!
Amazing sweets and good place to chill out for a bit with a couple of friends. Coming back to this place ever again will bring fond memories no doubt! Love liquid nitrogen.
This place was great! The drinks and food were amazing and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff was super friendly and helpful. 10/10 will go again.
Their movies are super yum & an easy stop when in the Old City area.
Always used to go here for Butter beer in college. Best cafe in Philly. Hands down.
I definitely recommend here. Been here only twice but both times have been excellent. Gentleman who was helping answered every question I had clearly.
My first visit was a great experience. The young lady who took my order was a joy. I was excited to find a place with delicious desserts. However, The owner was very rude when I called with questions.🥺😔 This probably explains why theyre hiring. I will not return.
I am from Wisconsin, just vacationing. I always had wanted to try bubble tea. I happened upon this shop and just loved it. So much so, that I came back each day. Thank you for the delicious bubble tea, green tea suggestion. The 2 young guys working did a great job and very kind. 😀😀
Great staffs, great set of menus. Definitely check this cafe out if you are sweets / coffee lover!
Amazing. Just amazing. I go to this place all the time because I love the liquid nitrogen ice cream. (My favorite is Flaming hot cheetos)
This is a great little gem to walk to for dessert when visiting the Independence Hall area. Small interior but decorated with great entertainment memorabilia. Awesome selection of very tasty desserts. We had froyo, nitrogen ice cream (or something like that) and macarons. All were excellent. Staff was friendly as well.
It was only after we paid that they said they had to refill the liquid nitrogen tank and then they forgot to even make our ice cream. Took 30 minutes to get some over priced ice cream and the fruit toppings seemed ready to spoil. Also, despite it being a cool day, the inside was super hot.
This is dessert paradise! The Liquid nitrogen ice cream was out of this world. The only thing that was better was their famous Dragon Breath! Cereal with liquid nitrogen, that makes you look like a fuming dragon. Who said playing with your food is a bad idea?
We love coming here for Dragon’s Breath. The service is quick & pleasant and the interior is a fun tribute to movies. Highly recommend.
THE FOOD WAS GREAT! Dragons Breath was very entertaining and fun to eat, the liquid nitrogen ice cream (I got vanilla) was some of the best ice cream Ive ever had, the employees are very kind and helpful if you need anything, and the design and furniture/stuff inside was very fun! Loved it!!!!
My daughter has been raving about wanting to try Dragons Breath dessert. Brought her here, great!! The atmosphere contains cute little movie memorabilia, ice cream shop setting. Shes delighted with the Dragons Breath. Im not that brave-nitrogen ice cream for me. Great little spot to sit & relax
Cute little place where you can get just about anything your craving. Lots of personality. Best chai latte Ive had. I recommend the liquid nitrogen ice cream, its really cool to watch it being made.
Can I give more than 5 stars? The owner was working, and he was fantastic! He was patient and funny. We had froyo and the nitrogen ice cream. He made sure to let the kids watch how he made the ice cream...so cool! The kids loved their froyo, and the nitrogen ice cream was amazing! It’s creamy and dense. Reminded me of the creamy ice cream from South America. Two thumbs up! Bonus: they have the street fighter arcade game, and my husband was reliving his youth a quarter at a time!
The hydrogen ice cream is too die for! So good. I wanted to order one of everything on the menu. The atmosphere is super fun as well. The staff is so friendly and they show you exactly how the ice cream is made. The ice cream is sooooo creamy!
Has a cool arcade machine and has good flavors. Would return and recommend to anyone
Pretty cool ice cream & pastry shop! They have a wide variety of flavored ice cream choices including hot cheetos flavor! Frozen yogurt, waffles! The macaroons and cheesecake was really good!
The decor is fantastic and totally worth a stop in even if you dont order anything. I ordered a Thai tea flavored bubble tea and it was frankly fantastic. As good as the ones Ill get at proper Thai restaurants. My friends all liked their orders as well. Its a little spendy overall ($4 and some for a 16oz bubble tea), but not more so than prices I see other places for similar products.
This place used to be the best smoothie cafe in the city, but since a bit ago the owner (a delightful man) isnt around to make the smoothies and instead has hired 2 younger girls for the job. The problem here is their smoothies are a straight disappointment, the past few times Ive visited they have left out ingredients, overblended it into a watery liquid, and made the taste so weak it was quite bad. Also these girls are frequently lounging in the seating area which wouldnt be a problem if they could make a darn smoothie right. Dont think Im going back until theyre gone or get better.Edit: the delightful owner has returned and has hired a competent staff, everything is delicious again.
Im telling you, this place serves the best acai bowls! No other cafe makes it the way they do. It also has a cute, calm atmosphere. Would definitely recommend going there.
Very unique and friendly spot. Kind owners. Lots of great snacks, plus some Korean fusion dishes. Recommended as a place to relax and recharge in this busy part of town.
We were wondering around Philly late at night, looking for ice cream and we found this awesome froyo place. Lots of choices on toppings and the geek stuff they have about was so cool. That was a neat experience.
This is the most quirky and awesome place. There is pop culture art and posters every where. They have a great self serve frozen yogurt bar as well.
Wonderful experience, the owner is a kind person, very family friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend ...👍
Great, quick spot. This is the place to go if you want to beat the line at Franklin Fountain. I ordered the nutella shaved icecream. I especially appreciated the hard work of the kids behind the counter.
Food is really good, the service is great, interior is awesome. You should go there and just try something! Great place! Loved it!
I fell in love with this little shop one evening when I was seeking shelter from a sudden downpour. Its a modern movie-themed cafe featuring organic soft serve frozen yogurt, as well as desserts, coffee and tea. Its been quite a while since my first, and later second visit, so I dont recall what yogurt I ordered. Suffice it to say, I loved it enough to return. The young servers were cheerful and provided excellent service, and didnt mind that I stayed for a couple of hours until the rain subsided. I also ordered a piping hot cup of tea which was served in a large mug that included a saucer. Happily Ever After is the only shop that provided a saucer. Seriously, where do other places expect me to place my teaspoon, on the table, which might or might not be throughly clean. I just might want to stir my tea again.
Excellent service from the owners with a great variety of desserts!
Wow some of the best ice cream I have had in my life! I love that they make it right in front of you when you order. I got the thai tea and it was so yummy! Cant wait to go back and try both the teas together :)
Super super yummy, some of the best mint chip Ive ever had! A little expensive, 1 scoop being about $5.49 but its very filling and super tasty; plus you cant beat the free toppings!
Cool to watch the delicious liquid nitrogen ice cream be made fresh.
I love Happily Ever After and go often with my friends. The butterbeer is great cold or hot, I prefer hot, but on warm days cold is great especially walking around in Old City or going over to Penns Landing
Harry Potter beer is good. Arcade has 100s of classic SNES and NES games.
I really love the workers and the food. Its very fun to have a girls hangout or like a fun time with firends
I loved the atmosphere they created. Absolutely nerdy and fun with great food and drinks. The thia tea is exceptional...
Great stuff but the owner was racist. Kept staring at me the entire time I was eating because of my skin color.
Great place for froyo ice cream but listen my kids really wanted to try this (DRAGONS BREATH)stuff they been watching on YouTube. So okay this place has it!! The nitrous isno joke parents please be very careful. No fault on this place but my son decided he was going to lay the puff on his lip and well😱😭 it got stuck an tore off some lip. He was over dragons breath really quick. My girls loved it but myself was over it and afraid because remember there is this liquid nitrous in the bottom of the cup(DONT PLAY WITH IT). I TOLD MY GIRLS I WAS WAY TO SHOOK UP AND WAS GIVING THE CUP BACK. WE CAN SAY WE DID IT.😬😰👍👌🙏
Friendly staff great hot chocolate great nitrogen ice cream or whatever. Great date spot
Their nutella and strawberry waffles are to die for. They are always so nice and friendly. The owner is amazing. I love this place.
Like the concept. Yogurt selection is enjoyable. Sad to see the lovely tomato soup and more recently the panini leave the menu.
Definitely get the nitrogen ice cream! The hot chocolate is...cinnamon-y? Or is that nutmeg? Either way, meh.
This little place is phenomenal! Trendy establishment with local art and cool decorations all over this place. Staff was cool and all about good vibs.. I had a yummy Belgian waffle desert and recommend to anyine who has a sweet or just wants a coffee.
I appreciate the owner making a soymilk version of cookies and cream for a vegan such as I. The arcade machine was also a nice nostalgia decortion.
Coolest ice/dessert shop I have ever been to. Was only in philly for 2 day and went twice. Worth a visit for the fun and interesting dessert options. From their dragons breath to red bull and flamin hot cheetos nitrogen ice cream. Friendly staff and decent prices. Plus the whole store is decked out head to toe in nerd/geek/scifi paraphernalia
The dragon breath was breathtaking. Service was really nice and the guy in the counter has an outgoing personality.
It is nothing short of 5 star. It has some amazing references with a beautiful map of famous movies shot in and around philly. It is more than a coffee shop. It is an entertainment.
People that work there are miserable and rude. Will never return, too many other places with nice staff who are welcoming. And the ice cream is highly overrated....
Fantastic liquid nitrogen homemade icecream
First visit was very good. Helpful staff and good deserts.
Really innovative desserts and interior! Would definitely recommend the Death by chocolate Waffle is you are chocolate lover!
Its snowing but a single scoop of chocolate nitrogen ice cream is giving me life.
Best place ever just love all the little decorations and the fact its geeky is a plus for me and my friends they always have great items on the menu always made fresh and great tasting snacks
A must for movie lovers... decor is super fun. A gem in Old City!
My husband and I had our first breakfast date here and love to come back as often as possible. The service is ALWAYS friendly and the food is delicious as well as the bubble tea!
Whether youre meeting a friend, on a date, with a group of friends, or just visiting Philly; Happily Ever After is perfect especially during the hot summer months!!!Pick your flavor of frozon yogurt (nutella, peanut butter, cheesecake) then pile your bowl high with all the fixings your heart desires.*Cartoon theme decor*Fresh fruit everyday*Environment is casual/ relaxed, very clean & not loud*Food is reasonable in price*Staff is friendly*Great place to eat anytime of dayI do not give many places 5 stars but I give this place 5 stars!
It was wonderful. They have Butterbeer from Harry Potter and dragons breathe. Also macaroons were to die for!!
Great Nitro ice cream. Made to order
Very good dessert eloquent a little expensive but good and sweet
Amazing ❤ very small staff is great @nd attentive its a great place for familys, kids, or friends any age ... You wont regret coming and it will be hard to leave
Had an acai bowl there, very delicious and some hot butter beer ! Definitely coming back more!
Butterbeer. Hot. Was awesome. Super cool decorations and lots of attention put into detail. Funny decorations.
Concept is unexplainable but looks good.Fusion of Pokémon, starwars, vintage art. The masterpiece of the ice creams was the basil balsamic ice cream made with liquid nitrogen and taste really good, I never thought eat a basil ice cream with the vinegar caramel. Is a must go.
I LOVE this place!!!! Love the dragon breath and ice cream. 🍨🍡🍧
Acai bowl was delicious and nutella browney are delectable!! The movie memorabilia decoration gives it a really nice atmosphere!
Great atmosphere, frozen yogurt selection and toppings, bring your kids they will love the place.
Amazing set up; the yogurt and macaroons are excellent and the staff is super friendly. Definitely a place to check out if your in the OldCity/Penns landing area.
Despite the fact that I love frozen yogurt, this place is a pretty comfortable movie themed café. I havent had much of the food but the Panini and coffee I had was good.
$2 for a small coffee and the film-themed decor is great.
Its like a ice cream / korean restaurant......loved it
So many different desserts super awesome
Quantity foods and fast cuz we self served
Never fails to disappoint. Great desserts and love the decor.
Fun atmosphere and really good, quick food. Try the breakfast sandwich—basically an omelet on a bagel with fruit slices on the side.
