Our group decided to get some Ice Cream after an eventful day. As we walked up to Philly Flavors Ice Cream Store we noticed the new renovations added to the store.The difference in the signage ( it states Fairmount Flavors, now). We also noticed that we can order at the window instead of entering in the store. Another noticeable difference is an employee brings your item to the door for pickup. A customer never enters the store.The service was quick and easy to say the least. Its two service windows for ordering your items.The home made ice cream was flavorful as usual with a good portion amount.

If you are looking for ice cream, this place isnt bad. Just an average ice cream shop. I ordered the make your own ice cream sandwhich with their cookies. The cookies were very hard and I didnt care for that. When my order was ready, they called my number and all I had was a bag with two cookies and no ice cream. Make sure to check your order, they were messing up orders.

One of the best waffle sandwiches I have ever tried! It was delicious and filling. You can tell the place is great by the friendly workers as well as the amount of people there is constantly waiting for their order.

Wow, what a place! There are so, so many options. Highly recommend taking time to look at their offerings before jumping in line so you can figure out what you want. Even with the small size, you can do two flavors. After you order, get ready for a lot of dessert, the portions are massive.

The prices may seem steep, but for the amount youre getting I certainly think its worth it. I got a small which was two scoops, more than enough for me alone. Tried a classic french vanilla and waffle cone and would definitely go back. Very quick service, even with a few others waiting.

They have SO many options, not only in flavors but ice cream types. Also this is the only place where Ive ever seen eggnog be a flavor available year round!! The wait isnt long, theres just a line sometimes because theyre pretty popular in the area but its so worth it

YUMSY! Thats some good ice cream, Ive only been there twice, each time I tried different flavors and they were all good. At last visit, as I was leaving I heard a woman order a rum raisin ice cream which, is my favorite. I didnt know they had that flavor but I will be back for it!

Had the waffle sandwich. Reeses swirl ice cream with peanut butter cups and oreos. Delicious! My mom had a cartwheel with nuts. We enjoyed it a lot on a hot day. Great treat🤗😍Will definitely be goin back!

The ice cream can be best described as bleh. I got the mocha and eggnog and they genuinely tasted like nothing.I got a large, not realizing what a large to them was.I shared it with my infant daughter and it was impossible to finish. We threw like 70% of it away … which is a huge waste but I didn’t care because I was sick of eating it.Wouldn’t voluntarily come back. Wouldn’t pay for it myself. Wouldn’t recommend. Good for tourists, I guess.

This place is usually delicious, but I just had a really awful experience. Their new hours are to open at 2pm. I wasn’t aware and got there around 1:30. I waited around until 2 and they didn’t open. Waited until 2:10, nothing. There were others waiting in line too, getting antsy and frustrated. We saw the workers in the back of the building, but it didn’t look like they planned on opening any time soon. I only had so much time on my break and I’m upset I wasted my time for nothing.

Best water ice. After being introduced here, I could not go back to Rita’s water ice. They taste like chemicals. Here at philly flavors, all are home made including their ice creams. Much cheaper than franklin fountain.

They got a new ordering system but they are still a little slow its no way a milk shake take 12 minutes to make and the kids they got running the food to the door are clueless if you ask them a question, you would think if you tip them to do they job you would get better service NOT

Saw a line while driving by to the art museum so I decided to get some icecream on my way back and was disappointed. I got their coffee icecream and did not taste like any cream was in the recipe. Taste more like I had water ice with my cone. Will not be back since Im not from the area.

I bought a medium ice cream in a cup, and split it between 2 flavors. The hubby bought the same, but dipped in chocolate with a waffle cone. Mine was around $5, his was around $10.While it was absolutely delicious and the portions are large, unless if you get a plain ole cup you WILL be paying a premium for the toppings/cones/any extras. The lines can also be ridiculously long with only one person in the back, so be prepared to wait if there is a line!

Just like McDonald’s, ice cream machine is broken? How long does it take to get served soft serve if you’re the only customer. My bladder was full and I almost went on myself waiting for my order.

Good icecream little pricey

Entered near ten, it was not crowded. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. Prices are appropriate.

My family and I have been here twice now. The wait time is absolutely RIDICULOUS! The shop was designed so poorly. The lines are always long because they take so long to take and make your order. We stood there for an HOUR in line. They’re either short staffed or poorly managed. The blonde girl in the register would take two orders then run to the back and take really long to make them. The ice cream is okay, the serve you ridiculous portions. The picture below is a “small” I couldn’t even finish it. This was my second time there, the only reason I went back is because they have rum raisin flavored Ice cream which is hard to find. Definitely not worth the ridiculous wait.

Huge selection of ice creams, water ice. There is something here for just about anyone. Always long lines especially on nice days, but they move fairly quick. Cash only establishment, but there is an ATM on the premise.Pretty hard to snag a table but from the looks of it, there maybe a store with chairs opening shortly next door to the place. Like a small addition to accomodate more seating. They are open pretty late which is always a plus!

The ice cream and funnel cake looked amazing. I had a small water ice. It was juicy. The only draw back was that I could taste the separation between the ice and juice.

I have never encountered employees as rude as these. The lady stood talking to her coworkers while my cone melted In her hand. They up sold me on a waffle cone because that was all they had. They didn’t even have napkins to give me as they handed me my melted cone that was dripping before I even left the store. I didn’t think it would be possible to be upset while eating ice cream. I guess I was wrong.

This place is where you take the shorties on a nice hot summer day. This ice shop right here is on point.

Havent been there in a few years. Ive found a better-tasting, better-on-the-stomach Butter Pecan ice cream @ Kings on 33rd Street @ Cecil B. Moore Avenue.Problem is, their only open during the Spring and Summer. Worth the wait though!

This place is a joke damon the owner has the nerve to yell at his employees who are minors also his place inside is disgusting flies on the waffle cones mildew in side the ice cream machines contaminating foods with other ice scoops this place needs to be shut down asap ohh I almost forgot hes racist always making comments about black people and Spanish calling them immigrant time to make some phone calls

Its a nice spot, would have been nicer if seating was offered inside where we bought the icecream, also there were only 6 available flavors from the 20 displayed on the menu. Theres also no bathroom that we saw, so when my daughter had to go, we rushed home. Wheelchair access would also be nice.

I stood in line for a short while for the tallest small water ice & a huge portion of 2 scoops of ice cream on a waffle cone, best ten bucks ever. HOWEVER Next time, I will specify a kids small.

So many choices! The sundaes are massive and delicious! I recommend the Going Nuts sundae. Its vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and caramel sauce, 4 different nut toppings (walnuts, pecans, peanuts, and almonds), topped with whipped cream, and a cherry. Theyre perfect for two people to share. Nice, quick service. Items were reasonably priced.

Butter Almond actually had pieces of something that resembled butter and tasted like something quite synthetic! Not good at all. Only a few ice cream flavors available. Actually did not have chocolate ice cream!! They did take the butter Almond back and replace with chocolate soft serve in the same cone.

The food was amazing. The staff was sociable and attentive. Menu is like a cafe in Boston I liked.

My girlfriend and I both got the strawberry shortcake sundaes. One was large enough for both of us to share. There was plenty of pound cake so you definitely get your moneys worth. You get to choose between froyo, soft serve or hard ice cream which is great when trying to please more than one person. They offered a few hot items like pretzels, funnel cakes, sausages, etc. if you want a snack to go with your dessert. I will definitely be back to try their banana split. You can choose your ice cream flavors!

This place is great, their ice cream is some of the best Ive ever had! The birthday cake flavor is almost more like an ice cream cake, thats how much real cake it has in it. I would also recommend the cookie dough! Im not a huge fan of water ice, but my friends love it and they say Philly Flavors is some of the best. My only complaints would be that the staff isnt very friendly and the space is really small so there arent very many tables.

This place is the best! They make the long wait worthwhile, because the menu is so extensive. They have everything from water ice to homemade funnel cake. We thoroughly enjoyed our treat, it was a fun way to end date night.

This ice cream is a bit cheaper than the surrounding city spots & offers huge portions! Theyre very good and super refreshing on a hot day! The store is not laid out well, and the menu is a bit confusing, so it makes an overwhelming experience on first visit. The staff themselves get flustered quickly, and you dont get your ice cream *fast*. However, the bonus is getting a pretttttty good treat, and this place is open late too, which is an awesome bonus!

Great place to check out after coming out of Terror Behind Walls across the street. Water ices are great and refreshing and come in a wide assortment of flavors. You can also mix and match frozen yogurts, ice cream, and water ice together to your customized liking. Great place to relax and hang out with friends!

Went on a Sunday night and waited, and waited, and waited for a single soft-serve ice cream. Staff was overwhelmed but also not efficient and showed no hustle in meeting demand. This isn’t the first time I’ve had this kind of experience. Sure, Ice cream here is good, but it’s not good enough to warrant the poor service.

I’m not sure if it’s just me... or has the manager gotten rude over the years🤭 I can’t believe that on a few occasions I’ve been there and he was actually cursing out customers... one woman because she didn’t want an ice cream cone due to staff taking too long, another was because a woman wanted another cone (just to name a few) and he was sooo angry, argumentative and using profound language I could not believe it and I haven’t been back since wow...

Doesn’t open till 12 even though it says 11. Had only 5 flavors when I came. Go to king’s water ice down the street it’s better. Also be prepared to wait 10+ mins for them to make a vanilla ice cream cone. Please go somewhere else!

Bought 5 gallons ($90) worth of water ice for a classroom. Was made to order and pay in advance. No problem. Was told it included cups. Great. Showed up and was asked to pay $10 for cups. Reiterated that I was told they were included. Again was asked for $10 for 50 cups.

I come here often. Best place to get your board walk favorites, funnel cakes, fried Oreos, milkshakes and ice cream. There’s many different flavors to choose from. Sometimes they do run out of flavors but for the most part they’re pretty stocked up. Rather your a tourist or native it’s definitely the place to be. The lines are normally long but it’s worth the wait. This particular location is Also very clean and the employees are always friendly.

My friend and I did not have to wait long at all for our water ice! Definitely a treat that we look forward to when visiting from Chicago! I had a combination of Strawberry pineapple water ice! It was absolutely wonderful! I cannot wait until my next visit to have it again!

Not staffed enough and poorly stocked. Always out of flavors. Changed their hours in the fall and didnt have any hours on their door for days. How are we supposed to know?!?If a new ice cream shop opens up, this place will be out of business in no time.

The best water ice and in many different flavors to choose frrom..... the same for their ice cream. U can mix up your flavors. Creative items to choose from. Has outdoor sitting. Great service. There are times it can be crowded but its worth the wait.

I seriously have no idea how this location stays in business. The wait is always outrageous, but it seems like its because they just dont know how to move a line, not because there are too many people for them to handle. Theyre routinely out of five or so of the more popular flavors, and its really expensive. The portions are really large, but theyre so large that theyre kind of gross. If another ice cream shop opened on Fairmount where the staff didnt have a surly attitude and they knew how to move a line quickly, Philly Flavors would go out of business in a matter of weeks.

Horrible wait - we went in on a busy afternoon and it was clearly busy. We waited about 15 minutes for our order to be taken. From there, we grabbed our receipt to wait in the line to receive our ice cream. After about 15 minutes, I asked the counter lady to check on our order. She gave us a ton of attitude and said that there was only four of them working so she couldnt leave the front counter. From there I saw multiple employees come from the back to lean in the doorway and see how busy it was. It was just add and frustrating. After waiting for 20 minutes for our two small ice creams (one in a cone and one in a cup), I decided to ask for a refund. Waiting 35 minutes for two ice creams is ridiculous. Its clear that there was no manager on site to make sure orders were completed in a timely fashion. We will never go to this location again.

Tonight the service was great but my funnel cake was over cooked and crunchy and burned. It even had a funny taste to it my daughter says it taste like it was cooked in old chicken grease. The other day my hard serve ice cream was soft as ever. This used to be favorite spot.

It has been a long time since I have been here and Im mad that I came with my bf today thinking I was taking him to the best ice cream place b/c he never been. His first and his last time b/c he did not like the overall experience. Im not sure if they changed owners since the last I was there but they have changed for the worst .The service is bad and the floor had sticky water ice everywhere and no one came to try to clean it up .The lines were long which was to be expected but the pick up line was not moving. Then people who ordered after you stuff came before yours. The list of ice cream they have was not accurate b/c they ran out of so many of the flavors. They actually had a list of flavors written on a cookie sheet that they said was the flavors they had which also was not completely accurate. It was as if they did not remember which flavors they had and which they did not. They no longer do the waffle ice cream sandwich which I use to love and they cookies looked hard as if they sit out all day. When I got to the front of the line the girl asked how can she help me and then proceeded to speak in spanish to one of the workers. I actually had to ask if she was going to help me or not for her to stop talking and pay attention to the customer she had right in front of her. One good thing is you cannot mess up ice cream but they need to get it together as far as service

A must stop, at least in the Fairmount neighborhood. Its always bustling and can satisfy your sweet tooth no matter if that means ice cream, water ice, funnel cake, Sundays, cookies, whatever. Walking around around Fairmount on a summer night with philly flavors is hard to beat.

Everything is absolutely delicious! the perfect after dinner treat. if you have a special event coming up in your life i highly recommend trying one of their custom ice cream cakes....you will not be disappointed!!!

Found something weird in my ice cream that looked like plastic. Flavor wasnt great either. Wouldnt go back.

Im a frequent vistor to Custards and Cakes Creamy so you have to be really good to even coming close to comparing to their deliciousness. Philly Flavors didnt do it for me. It could have been the flavor I had. I ordered by accident due to being confused by their menu Mocha Chocolate wasnt what I thought it was. It wasnt terrible but it also wasnt great.

All in all there are many other places that make their ice cream on site that are better for the price. The ice cream is more sweat than flavorful. Texture is pretty good. Kids will be happy with it. It does NOT make my BESegal Ice Cream Tour.

I used to love this place. Would rave about it for years, would bring friends there. Now suddenly they dont have even half of the flavors they used too, they are extremely understaffed like to the point that it takes an hour to get ice cream. The whole experience sucks now. This has been a staple in my life for years. I hope tey get themselves together.

I wouldn’t be returning here no time soon. They don’t accept credit or debit cards, the whole staff is teenagers and the prices went up tremendously. I ordered a brownie sundae and it was made so sloppy I couldn’t even eat it. Never again

The biggest ice cream cone I have ever had. Damn near sprained my wrist. I was rocking and humming the whole time, brain freeze and all. Locations are open all year long. The ice cream sandwiches and flavor variations are delicious

I went for the first time anticipating a waffle icecream sandwich. I figured since they were local without the shore traffic. However they were not making any. It was a very limited selection of ice cream available.I decided to settle for a two scoop sundae after waiting and paying for my order. They explained they were now out of strawberry topping. They didnt even have bananas for a topping. Unfortunately this experience wasnt a good one.

I went there are the fourth of July and the lines were amazingly long. Plus, it was a long wait for my ice cream because they looked like they were short staff. However, the ice cream was so awesome. The ice cream makes the whole wait worth it.

I went here because a friend stated this was the best place for water ice in Philly.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion including me. Ill just say I wasnt impressed. Philly flavors has real fruit in their water ice which sets them apart from other places. But Ive tasted water ice with real fruit in it from another place in Philly that was just as good.Oh well, everyones tastesbuds are not the same. I did love the oatmeal cookies. They were warm and delicious.
