My daughter has attended this facility for over a year and she absolutely loves it. As a parent you want to feel comfortable in leaving your child in the care of someone else. I could not have asked for a better place. The staff are so pleasant and friendly. Each morning we are greeted at the front door with a smile. The facility is much smaller than other centers but I appreciate the one on one care that is available. I highly recommend taking a tour. You will not be disappointed.

As a parent of a child still enrolled in this preschool classroom I felt the need to comment on this review. My child has attended this facility for about a year as well. In that time she has had the same lead preschool teacher. This teacher only recently left due to school but will return once her schedule allows. The center is small offering only 4 classrooms, 1 for each age group. The director and owner work in the classrooms daily especially handling the children who disrupt the classroom routines such as your child. On numerous occasions my child was hit and pushed by your child. I witnessed her tantrums and screaming at the top of her lungs over and over when I would drop my child off in the morning. The director is very hands on as parents have her personal cell phone number and can contact her after business hours to discuss any concerns or ask any questions.You must have liked something about the center to stay a year. No need to try and tarnish their reputation. Just take your child out and go. I personally love the center and have nothing negative to say. Clearly they allow all children a chance to learn as they allowed your child to remain in the center after all she has done. Good luck with her behavioral diagnosis. She should definitely be in a different learning environment.

My daughter was enrolled a bright star for about a year. Everything was wonderful in the beginning. Then things took a turn for the worst. They started going through staff like crazy. The owner and director are very hands off. 4 different teachers have left and been replaced in the last couple months. My daughter needs structure and consistency so that was a major red flag for me! When the group supervisor and best preschool teacher left i knew it was time to pull her out! Communication between parents and teachers is definitely not what it should be!

Great center! My son loves summer camp. They are always out and out about within the community. When you see the blue bus just know its Bright Star traveling through. Communication with staff is amazing. I always know exactly whats going on.

I absolutely love this facility. The center is clean and the staff are amazing. I was so hesitant to enroll my baby into daycare since it is my first child but from the moment I took the tour I felt so comfortable. The director was attentive and able to answer any questions I had. I felt at ease knowing she too just had a baby recently so she understood all the fears I had. My son started a week and a half ago and it has been great. Each day I receive a report detailing the day he had. I can call throughout the day and check up on him. I always have the option to stop in on my lunch break which makes my day a lot easier. If you are looking for a clean friendly atmosphere for your child I highly recommend Bright Star Learning Academy. I am glad I decided to enroll my son here.

As a parent I will never ever feel comfortable letting my child step foot into this mad house. This is far from a daycare and the ‘teachers’ are NOT certified in any way! I honestly wouldn’t feel comfortable with ANY child attending this mad house. They don’t take responsibility for their actions and are quick to blame a ‘child’. I’ve ever seen anything like this!!!

Great Center. My daughter enrolled with the PHLPREK program a few weeks ago The staff are amazing and so attentive. Definitely happy with enrolling here.

My daughter recently started at this facility and loves it. Each morning she is so excited to pull up in the parking lot. The staff are friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. They really take the time to make the children comfortable. She is constantly coming home with art projects and activities to do at home. I can already see how much she has learned in such a short time at this school.

My child recently graduated from the preschool program. She will be returning in the fall for before and after care. I love the center. Weve been here for 3 years and have the best experience.

Great center. Just enrolled my child for the PHLPreK program. Its small clean and organized. Staff are very friendly. My daughter was very comfortable which makes me more confident in my decision to enroll here.

I love this center. The place is great. It is a hidden gem in Somerton. I highly recommend to anyone. I have 3 children enrolled. I cant say enough good things. Go check it out for yourself.

My daughter loves it here, they are very good with the kids. I was scared to send her to daycare after all the horror stories you hear but this place put that at ease! The teachers and director will answer any question you have! great place to send your child!!

Amazing facility with top quality activities/education. These kids really seem to have fun here ! My niece used to go here (shes older now) and I watched her become well mannered at such a young age. She would have long conversations about how much she got to do here. Overall top notch for a great value.

This is a great place to send your child for daycare. The environment is clean, the staff are friendly, the curriculum is age appropriate and my child LOVES this school. My son has attended this daycare since Jan 2015, and the facility owner, facility director and every teacher have appropriately attended to my childs needs and have answered any question I had with professionalism and respect. #TeamBrightStar

Great Center!! Smaller than other places but more one on one opportunities for my three children. I enrolled my children over 6months ago and have been nothing but satisfied. Clean friendly atmosphere!!!!!!!

No star is deserved!!! Maybe 4/5 back in ‘2017’ If we’re talking CURRENT ‘6/2019’ > The teachers drop like flies it’s quite disturbing. No one has to yet to stay, EXCEPT 1 teacher. No one communicates when your child’s teacher is no longer employed. You find out as you go in 1 morning and there’s a complete new face. They are EXTREMELY short staffed and have been for quite tooo long. Numerous incidents and children are not being supervised due to lack of teachers. All of a sudden there’s a ‘FREE Prek enrollment’ poster hanging on their building. Many children who were enrolled back in ‘2017’ are no longer there... That clearly says ALOT.One great thing I can say is that they teach 123’s, ABC’s, and 123’s in Spanish and it actually sticks with the child.

The level of unprofessionalism at this facility is disgusting. I enrolled my two children on 08/17/2018And they were pulled from the center today 08/21/18Thats one and a half day of care.On Monday when I picked my children up I was told by my daughter that she or her brother were not offered anything to drink. I said to her what do you mean?! She said that when they were eating lunch she asked for a cup of water and the staff never brought it to her. She then stated that when they were laying down for naptime the two staff were cursing and talking about grown up stuff (her words).So I immediately call the facility but they were already gone for the day. When I dropped them off the director was not there to discuss the concerns.So I called once I got to work and spoke with a woman that identified herself as the director and she said Ellen was not need that she could assist. Excuse my ignorance because I cannot spell her name but she has a thick accent. I expressed to her my concerns and she immediately became defensive and said that her staff would never curse and she trusts them to do their job. Then she says and as far as the water goes, there is a water fountain next to the bathroom, if they were thirsty they could have drink from the fountain. So I asked her did she show them the fountain and let them know its always available? She said and I quote its common sense.I said ok wow. I let her know their last day would be Friday and she said there is no need to wait you can come and get them now. So I left work at 12:30 to get them because now my frustration level has risen to 1,000. I get there and the children were laying down for nap and she said when we got off the phone I showed your daughter where the fountain is if she is thirsty. .. i said well its probably a little too late. My daughter said that is not at all what happened. She stated the woman with the accent came to her and her brother while they were at the table eating lunch and said I got a call from your mom that your complaining about something to drink and my daughter said yes. And the woman said did you ask and my daughter said yes. My daughter then says that the woman asked did you see the water fountain right there and my daughter said yes but I tried and it wasnt working. My son replied no that he didnt see it and she said to him verbatim stop lying to me he said Im not lying and she said you are making up stories. So she says come ever let me show you how to work the fountain. My daughter said when she first tried to show them it was working, the lady had to open the fountain used a screw driver and out it back and it was working. So when I asked her why she felt the need to approach my children in and intimidate them and call them a liar to there face, she denied the entire encounter. I mean she didnt even acknowledge the conversation or anything. She said and i quote it never happened. I adv her at that time I would be reporting this incident to office of child development, DHS and whoever else because I feel that my children were neglected while I their care and then the emotional abuse after is unacceptable. And she then tries to spin it on my son and says well your son curses while he was closing a gate. I asked her what did he say because I have never heard him curse and she said ask him since you trust your kids so much. I felt the need to write this review because I thought after I toured the facility and paid the $75 registration fee my children were in good hands.... boy was I wrong! And I feel horrible that my children after being at one center for most if their life had to endure all of this in 2 days. My children have never been subjected to that kind of intimidation and emotional abuse.*****UPDATE08/22/18I CALLED THE CENTER AT 1:17 PM AND REQUESTED TO SPEAK TO ELLEN OR THE OWNER AND THE WOMAN WITH THE HEAVY ACCENT IDENTIFIED HERSELF AS THE OWNER. SO I ASKED HER HER FIRST AND LAST NAME AND SHE REFSD AND HUNG UP IN MY EAR!
