I couldn’t be more sincere when I say that this business provides the best, high quality mechanic work in the ValleyRob was an effective communicator. He gave me prices and service options in a clear and understandable fashion.Darrel, Johnny, and Craig were my mechanics and some of the most enjoyable professionals I have ever interacted with.I needed an oil change for a road trip and come a long way to get to their shop to find it was closed. Craig and Johnny heard my situation out and asked Darrel if they could reopen the shop to service my vehicle - he was more than happy to give a lending hand. The guys were very accommodating and transparent about their work, both through their conversations and the actual servicing. They not only completed the oil change but also did a 44-point inspection, checked my tires/air filter/windshield wipers, and topped off my fluids. They taught me about the mechanics of my vehicle and things to keep in mind for a safe trip - which is exactly what I had.I am confident in the honesty of these guys and couldn’t recommend them more highly.
Honestly really happy I came here when car wasnt acting right, smelling like coolant. I thought it was worse than it was, and they charged me a decent price. I will come back again.Thank you
Family owned. Great prices. Amazing customer service! Chop was awesome, knowledgeable, answered all my questions. Adam was awesome! Couldnt have asked for a better experience for an oil change. Thank you!
Never going anywhere else in Phoenix! Took me years to find a mechanic I could trust. Rob actually says things like “You don’t really need to get this fixed, but I can do it if you want.” He never overcharges either. He’s the best.
I worked with Rob to have a pre-purchase inspection completed. He was very thorough and answered all of my questions. Id highly recommend this shop.
Great bunch of guys honest and straight forward company.
From right when I walked through the door til the end with my vehicle being repaired, I had a confident feeling about this repair shop. Great customer service and they really care about their customers. Thanks Rob and the crew! We found our new place to go when we need repairs done :-)
This place is awesome. Excellent service and extremely fair pricing. I am going to make this place my regular car mechanic shop.
These guys are not master mechanics, I guess it just sounded good when they were trying to come up with a name. They misdiagnosed, over charged, and covered their tracks (not very well either). Corporate gave me a refund after investigating their fraudulent ways with the proof I provided. Stay as far away from this place as possible. Most of their good reviews are FAKE!!!!!!!!!! Napa should drop them like a bad habit because they’re giving them a bad name. Never will I revisit or recommend any of their services but I will continue to tell people my horror story so they don’t have to go through the same thing. Pork “Chop” is the worst employee they have. Stay as far away from this place as you can!
I am beyond thrilled with my recent experience at AZ Master Mechanics. These are HONEST mechanics that know their stuff. A different business had quoted me $700 for basic maintenance (which I didn’t need) and the guys at AZ’s had me in and out within a couple of hours with a perfect brake job for $80. When I tell you I can stop on a dime now, I mean it! Looking forward to having a mechanic I can trust. Special thanks to Greg for his expertise.
I had an outstanding experience at AZ Master Mechanics. Called for an appointment and got in right away. The work done was explained clearly and in a respectful manner. Robert answered all my questions. Work was done at a really decent price. The biggest plus was that there was no pressure to do this or buy that. I highly recommend them. I definitely will be going to them as needed.
This place is awesome! I had my part ordered, delivered, put in, and they had me out of there in no time. Great service, great value.
Excellent customer service. They explained everything and made experience easy. High recommended
I made a big mistake by going to Brake Masters That is in the same parkinglot. The old guy with the white beard is the rudest guy i know. Their shop isvery dirty and smells. Asked for a price to fix my car and man watch out.Walked out and went next door to Az Master Mechanics and greeted byGreg and Rob what great guys they are. I told them about my car and theybrought my car in right away and found the problem and even brought meout to see the problem. Found a leaking water pump and gave me the best price and fixed the problem. I came back to pick up my car and allthree of the guys Greg,Rob and Chop were great to work with. I will telleveryone I know to go their. Awesome job guys that you very much.I will bring my truck in for the lift kit very soon.Bruce
This place is a joke! Took my truck in to have the oil pan gasket replaced due to a small leak, after the repair I had an exhaust leak they caused i had to have them repair. One week later I was a quart low on oil with a major leak at the oil pan. Took it next door to Brake Masters who found most of the oil pan bolt loose. After tightening them a pretty sizable oil leak is still present from the bottom of the timing cover which they apparently cracked but are refusing to admit. I called and argued with the manager who hung up on me rather than deal with it. I now get to pay $800 to replace my timing cover. THANK YOU AZ MASTER MECHANICS!!!Update on oil leak! After talking my truck to another shop this weekend for proper cleaning and diagnostics, the oil pan was never properly sealed at the front with silicone, nothing wrong with the timing cover....I was charged $300 to create a larger oil leak, then they wanted another $800 to fix a problem that didnt even exist, rather than repair their mistake. They are just out to take your money!!!
Great honest people dont try to do work that isnt necessary. There fast and dependable..
Rob and Chop are absolutely AWESOME!!! They are the only ones I take my car to. They find and fix whats wrong. Stop in and see them. They wont let you down.
Very nice smart employees. Serviced my transmission, check vehicle over and changed oil. Thanks
Just had my car worked on and was pleased with the service advisor’s communication and honesty. The price was fair and the work done quickly.
This is my try in English, hope understand: They literally steal, commit fraud, use NAPA name to steal. I do not recommend this auto repair shop. This is my experience: a person gives you the estimate and the information, he takes your car and disappears. Then another person with the invoice says that he does not know who the other person was and do not understand how I got the estimate. At that time, you cannot do anything, you are in their hands, unless you pay $ 130.00 for the diagnosis. Please dont use this service.
Came in for my basic oil change and got a few of my problems fixed fast for a good price!!! i absolutely love the manager chop treated me with amazing customer service. quality work with quality guys cant ask for much more from a shop!!!
Its a great place. Love the way they take care of me and my vehicle
PLEASE READ!!!!!i came into the shop noticing some clicking in my right axle, i took it in to AZ Master Mechanics and they had to end up replacing both my CV axles, when they removed one it completely fell apart!!! they fixed it for an amazing price and now my car runs smooth as a dream, no clicking and the whole car runs great!! thank you AZ Master Mechanics
Excellent service. Had all 4 tires replaced in 45 mins. Great service. Thanks greg.
I hope you understand my English, it is written in Spanish below.I do not recommend this shop. The people at the reception who provide the information are very dishonest, they lie and change the prices.I came to this shop because it is supposedly a napa brand service, sadly I made the mistake of not reading the comments. I trusted for what the brand stands for. What they charged me does not match what NAPA promotes online.I also personally checked the prices in the store. Likewise, the cost of labor is not same that shows napa pageFirst, they gave me a budget of $ 800.00 but they charged me $ 1,116.00. At this moment you are in their hands and you have no choice, you must accept otherwise you have to pay approximately $ 130.00 for check your car. In order not to pay that amount in cash, I had to request a loan for a year, supposedly without interest. The most unfortunate of all is that these people are damaging the reputation of napa, I informed them immediately, but I have had no response after many days.
Rob, and Mark were so helpful upfront and very nice, got my car fixed for cheap in a good time about a month ago and still no problems. Think I found my new shop!!
PART 2 OF PREVIOUS REVIEWAfter 15 minutes of an unfortunate and un-needed argument, Chop speaking over my wife and stating she never stops talking, he agreed to discount $400 to pay for the new key fob and programming that was necessary. Its not discount, as he referred it, as we still have to pay $400 for the new key fob and programming! We wanted to pay for the services and drive away with our car! Honest service for honest payment, thats all we could ask for and unfortunately was not the case.My wife has a very calm and understanding demeanor and in no way entered that building irate with an attitude. With such condescending and rude comments towards my wife I DO NOT understand how he is in a customer service industry or even employed in a supervisor position. We are sure if someone broke the key to his Jeep he would have been furiously irate himself.A the time of pickup they were closing down the shop and my wife needed to remove herself from this daunting & hostile environment. She got into the vehicle and immediately noticed the power steering pump was whining. She opened the hood and power steering fluid was shooting out fluid all over the engine before even leaving the parking lot.We reached out to NAPA to hear nothing back in a timely manner, and still havent. Our only option was to take it back in. Mark stated that before they returned the vehicle to us they took it for a test drive and everything was great. They stated power steering pumps go out and they could order a new one at our expense to repair it. A bit later the mechanic joined our conversation and stated they crushed the lines on the power steering pump when re-assembling our vehicle from the water pump repair. We were not surprised at this point. They fixed the power steering issue and guess what happened after $1800 repair for a water pump? The car over heater the same day! Overheating was the original reason for bringing it in. My wife and kids had to be towed 25 miles from Tempe back to N Phoenix. The vehicle was towed and they replaced the radiator free of charge. The original diagnostic was 100% incorrect after the master mechanic stated he was 100% sure it was the water pump. The entire cooling system was repaired with a $200 radiator. This place ROBBED us of $1600. They tried to cover their story and say the water pump was bad anyway, although Mark had stated to me nothing seemed wrong with the water pump, and they replaced it anyway. Of course they did it was 13 hours of labor and wanted to get paid for their mis-diagnosis. There is a reason the radiator was free of charge.Mark was kind and apologetic for everyones actions and the demeanor of Chop.We will never visit a NAPA AutoCenter or NAPA AutoParts store again, and will reach out to everyone we can to tell them about our experience to ensure for the greater good of humanity this business doesnt continue to grow and continue sending your families and friends out to drive a dangerously repaired vehicle.Overcharged, misdiagnosed, belittled, personal property damaged, and dangerous third-rate work. For the sake of your loved ones and yourself, please avoid at all costs. Please note : The first 2 5 star reviews are by Mark and Rob, both whom work at the shop. Google has been notified and this is agains their terms and conditions as a conflict of interest and mis-representation policies.
Please read this entire review if you are searching for a mechanic. What proceeds this introduction is grippingly horrifying, mind altering, and may not only save your life but that of those you love. Our family vehicle was beginning to unfortunately overheat. While driving our car was giving us signs our cooling system was struggling; we began to lose the heater function, and our temperature gauge was no longer resting comfortably below the halfway mark.We called this NAPA AutoCenter (AZ Master Mechanics) and spoke with Mark who informed me of their diagnostic process and said I could drop it off and they would run a diagnostic and supply a quote to fix this issue. An hour or two later they reached out to us and said the car is fine and I could pick it. This immediately was a red flag. They gave me the keys after informing me they had it running in there bay the whole time and it never once overheated after doing several test. They said if it overheats again just bring it back in. (This obviously is not right as I could have blown my head gasket and informed them it WILL overheat). Unfortunately I drove the car away and not but 3-4 minutes later and a mile down the road it began to EXTREMELY overheat now almost reaching the 3/4 temperature gauge mark. I immediately turned it around and drove it right back to the NAPA AutoCenter. Upon pulling into the parking lot something blew and poured coolant all over the ground. After visually inspecting where it was pouring from I could only assume it was a hose they didnt put on correctly after possibly flushing the system to test it.I gave Mark the keys which he handed to the mechanic who was diagnosing the car originally. Mark informed me they would call soon to inform me of what was going on.Mark called 2 hours later and stated they ran various test after having their Master Mechanic drive down to test the cooling system. Those test included having the computer hooked up to read the cooling system sensors as well as a pressure test to ensure the water pump was working appropriately. The master mechanic informed Mark that the water pump was the only part that was not functioning properly. The master mechanic stated the water pump was 100% the issue. The water pump in our 2009 Ford Taurus is located in side of the timing belt system and required 13 hours of labor. I spoke with Mark regarding our water pump as it was not leaking. A leaking water pump is a sure-fire sign it is bad, although our was not leaking (Not one drip!). He informed me when they removed the water pump they would inspect it to make sure it was the issue. We proceeded with the repair with a grand total of $1800+ to repair our family vehicle and to have it done correctly. Being a Napa AutoCare we were positive this would be done correctly and they would have no problem sourcing parts as not only is this a common vehicle but a common engine used in several ford vehicles / years. They received the water pump, but had an issue finding a water pump gasket. We waited an additional day for the gasket. The call came and we were excited to pick up our vehicle! My wife went down there to pick it up! She was met by the shop supervisor Chop. Upon returning the key to her, the key was broken. The metal key portion was turned 90 degrees and the plastic part was cracked open. We have owned the vehicle for 7 years and have never had an issue with our key fob. My wife simply stated the key was broken, and it was not broken upon bringing the vehicle in. Chop raised his voice as if he was offended immediately and initiated an argument about how there was no possible way their employees could have broken it. My wife asked Chop to bring up the camera footage to prove that it was NOT broken upon bringing it in as they have several cameras that would prove our point, which he refused to do. Part 2 in separate review.
Employees park in handicapped parking that should tell you all you need to know
