Every time I come here the line is out the door and so I end up leaving. I’m so happy on a Monday there was no line. Now I completely understand why there’s a line out the door. They have great flavors and the employees are so sweet and helpful. The ice cream isn’t overly sweet either. 10/10 highly recommend.I got 2 scoops - pecan and coffee.

Charming little ice cream shop with unique flavors and sundae options. The Strawberry Shortcake Sundae had a fresh piece of shortcake in it and they browned the marshmallow on top of the Smores Sundae. The outdoor patio is nicely lit, has music playing and is very enjoyable.

I ordered the strawberry shortcake sundae with two scoops (+ 2 more) was so damn delicious! I was driving home and careful eating. I’m like wow this is so delicious. Wow thank you ! Super friendly staff as well! 💕🍨

This is an awesome little ice cream and candy store. U can tell by the line waiting to get in. We ordered 2 coffee sea salt Carmel shakes and a strawberry shortcake sundae. AWESOME!! This is a fun stop on central and you should take a few minutes to stop by. Could be a cute date thing if u need an idea. And to the young lady working that spilled a couple drops of that fabulous shake on my hand, dont worry honey, if I could bath in ice cream I would!! In fact the young lady that was with me thought it was funny and we laughed about it. Thank you for the ice cream and the laughs!!

Got the ice cream sandwich the other day. The ice cream was great. The cookies were fantastic. Hard enough to not turn to mush from the ice cream but soft enough to still be a very enjoyable treat.

Such a cute place, and the ice cream is really delicious! Their ice cream selections rotate daily so there is always new fun flavors to try out. Also their scoop sizes are pretty big our kiddo hardly ever actually finishes their kids scoop (which means more ice cream for us 😊). There is also outdoor seating in both the front and back. Highly recommend!

The best ice cream in Central Phoenix! Seriously. Inside its all old school, i.e. they sell unique candies and small toys alongside site made ice cream. One of the few places I can think of that looks like it was designed by children, for children (in the best possible sense of course). The ice cream rotates but there are always the tried and true fan favorites. I love the coffee ice cream and plain sweet cream. Def recommend.

This place serves ice cream and its delicious. What more could I ask for? The kickin Cherry Cola float is amazing and the sweet cream ice cream is also amazing.

So good! We loved all their creative flavors. They had plenty of candy to choose from as well! I loved the cookies and mint flavor! It tasted like a Girl Scout thin mint cookie! If you like cones the waffle cone is definitely the way to go! If you are at any of the other nearby restaurants such as postino, joyride, and windsor, I definitely recommend stopping by!

The staff was very friendly. They were very respectful of space and only allowed 2 families in at a time. The ice creams we had were so good. It was a happening spot and we see why... dont miss out on a sweet treat from Churn!

We came on a weekend night for after dinner ice cream. Wow what a line! It was a 25 minute wait outside before we could come inside and order. My wife got coffee ice cream and I got milk and cookies. Hers was amazing and mine was ok.

The company really needs to get a comprehensive and COMPLETE allergen menu. I dont know when I ask if a topping contains dairy or gluten is unacceptable. ESPECIALLY if it is made in house.. Your employees dont need it memorized, but the information should be readily available for them to refer to.

Ice cream was good. Hot fudge was over cooked and stuck together in chunky globs instead of being soft and in liquid form.Also the mask policy on the front door references outdated CDC guidance from May. CDC updated their guidance three weeks ago on July 27. Since then 300 Arizona’s have died and thousands of others have clogged up our hospitals and contracted long COVID. What will it take for you to update your sign and policy to align with the new CDC guidance?

Crowded but great little ice cream parlor.

One of my favorite local places. Last night I got the lemon blueberry sorbet with Madagascar vanilla. Yum!

This place has been in my list for a long time and I finally made it happen, and I wish I had gone sooner! I got a little freezies, salted caramel and it was delicious, such a great rich taste. Staff was sweet and willing to allow my friends and I too taste as many flavors as necessary to make a proper dessert choice. Seating area outside is cute and comfy but in this heat Id say eat up fast. Only downside to this place is the parking situation.

Very nice icecream shops. Baked goods are fresh and delicious. Sad they dont sell the kitchen sink cookies anymore. Love the affagato. Butter pecan iceream is AH-MAZING. Rich, creamy, great balance and the flavor blooms well.

We had enjoyed Churn several months before lockdown. Our visit on 8/4/21 was not as pleasant. One employee was helpful and friendly, but the other was downright snarky. Their ice cream is well flavored, but quite sweet.

Name a better ice cream place in the state, Ill wait. Youre doing yourself a disservice not trying Churn, even if youre lactose intolerant.

Absolutely phenomenal! Been coming here for awhile and never took photos, but they hand cooked this s’mores sundae and it was amazing! Chocolate ice cream underneath, Graham crackers, and toasted marshmallow puff. Delicious and worth the try!

Fun setting with a huge variety of options. There are a number of different candies that were popular in my youth but I havent seen for years. Remember Pixie Sticks in the long plastic straw packaging? They have them!

Im a big lover of Ive cream. Everywhere I travel I try to get some ice cream. And, I can say this is top 5 ice cream in all of my travels. The texture is super smooth and velvety. They have a lot of fun flavors too. Ill warn you that this is a popular place and there is a line. But, the staff is super fast and you will have you delicious ice cream in no time. So, if you are even remotely near by you should stop by.

This place has some of the most delicious ice-cream in town (even their vanilla is incredible), and their prices are actually quite reasonable. Bonus, their staff is very friendly and thoughtful. They gave me bowls, spoons, and napkins to go with my kids cones for just in case, and we used every bit of it. Also, they have cute little toys that the kids will want, but for only 75 cents it can be an easy yes. We had a great time here and will definitely be back!

Everyone behind the counter is very chipper and is always happy to answer questions. They change the seasonal flavor I think every month? I’m not a fan of coffee ice cream but I can’t lie the Vietnamese coffee flavor is bomb. I can’t wait to try the cherry pie flavor whenever that comes back around ;)

Best Ice Cream in Phoenix. My kids and I “Googled” best ice cream in Phoenix and Churn came up at the top of the list. This place did not disappoint. My oldest had the salted caramel freezie. Like a “Blizzard” but way better. The youngest had a scoop of mint cookie in a pretzel cone. It was delicious. The service was friendly, funny, and polite. There was a bit of a wait, but after tasting the ice cream, I understand why. We will be back.

Rocky road freezie was a bit much for me, but my family really liked it.

What an amazing place to visit. Crazy good ice cream with all the fixings that really is to die for. The back seating are is fantastic. The lighting makes you want to settle in and just smile. Crazy jem of a place that is hidden but worth the prize for finding it.

Solid find for decent ice cream. Nothing truly unique about what they offer which leaves it lacking true value. A very small location with outdoor seating gives it a nice feel, but a very limited menu sets the desire for more at the top of the list.We tried the S’mores sundae and a cookie tonight. For starters the cookie was very hard! As in to the point it all crumbled when taking a bite. The sundae has quality homemade ice cream, but the process in which they deliver wasn’t my favorite. They give you chocolate ice cream, with marshmallow fluff that has a flame put to it for true campfire feel, finished with 3 half pieces of graham cracker to complete the dessert’wich. To give this a much better taste and mix, I would have preferred the crackers crunched up throughout, with chocolate pieces mixed in, along with mini marshmallows or the fluff toasted on top to complete.Would visit again, but lowered expectations for simple and sweet.

This is just a great little place. The ice cream is homemade on premise and they offer 4 special rotating flavors on a monthly basis. They have a nice little patio out back so that you can enjoy your treat in Arizona’s amazing weather. If you are in the Phoenix area Churn is a must visit. I had the lemon buttermilk flavor once and I’ll remember it forever

Still good.....but, somethings changed. Churn is a longtime favorite for our family and a no-brainer stop after dinner across the street at another staple, Federal Pizza. Most things are still amazingly delicious but weve noticed some changes in a few of the things that well gladly drive more than 30 mins across town to enjoy.The brownies are now 1/3 the size they used to be. Perfectly appropriate to top an ice cream concoction with but as a stand alone treat theyre now more of two bite teaser for the same cost.The most disappointing for me was the change in the hot fudge. The homemade from scratch, dark chocolate & butter melted in a double boiler liquid gold is, apparently, no more. This stuff was legendary and I would occasionally be satisfied to just savor a few pumps in a cup with a spoon. Theyve switched to the same corn syrupy, gloppy, goopy stuff you can get just about anywhere. Disappointing!Churn is still a unique and special ice cream shoppe with some of the best ice cream, desserts, charm and nostalgia in the valley but the changes weve noticed have dampened our enthusiasm a bit. We hope this isnt a significant shift in direction for them.

Classic ice cream flavors and Classic Candies!!!I got the cashew caramel and chocolate sorbet. The sorbet was more like a dark chocolate ice cream. The cashew caramel was new but man it worked. It was sooo good, I highly recommend a scoop of that and top anything you get with toasted marshmallow!

Came around 10pm on a Saturday night and there were just a handful of people in line. Service was quick to take and fill orders so we had our ice cream in our hands in no time. The Vietnamese Coffee ice cream is delicious. I tried it in the waffle cone, and no exaggeration but even the waffle cone was one of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely come back!

Excellent flavor. Not overly sugary, I can finish an ice cream cone and not feel that tired of sugar feel. Id put it medium on the creaminess scale. I prefer creamier ice creams over sugary ice creams and this place definitely pleased. Tried their cookies as well and theyre exceptionally good.

Churn is a cute little ice cream shop, with shaded seating out back. Their ice cream is some of the best I have had. Their signature Sundays are amazing. The topping choice are extensive. Today I just went for an old fashion hot fudge Sunday. The hot fudge is rich and thick with a dark chocolate taste. The hot fudge tasted homemade and was truly delicious. The staff are always friendly and engaging. If your in the mood for really good ice cream, I cant recommend a better option!!!

Ice cream was delicious. Had the Peanut butter and chocolate on a waffle cone.Unfortunately the waffle cone could not stand up to the weight of the ice cream and cracked apart, leaving a mess of melting ice cream to deal with. Wanted an ice cream cone not a bowl so was disappointed by the owners solution to put the cone in a bowl. For the extra money charged for the waffle cone it should not have fallen apart under the weight of the ice cream. Should not have to put it in a bowl.

The ice cream was delicious but they were out of most of their cookie flavors and the chocolate chip ones I got were hard and really salty. Parking was a pain too. I was a little disappointed :(

Kudos for friendliness and kitch. Ice cream was lacking in milkfat and more water-ice than cream; waffle cone was overbaked and sandy/brittle in texture, but contained almond extract thankfully.

We all found the ice cream to be delicious and the service A+!! The kids were friendly and the dog even got his own treat. Parking is limited however, the number of times we’ve been there not an issue.
