Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. The coffee was amazing and the barista was so sweet! Great place to study cause the music isn’t so loud. Needless to say this place has great vibes and coffee was perfect. We tried the rose latte and the honey vanilla latte. 10/10

I tried an iced mocha for the first time from this place, and it was so good! Finding the coffee shop was a little difficult and there isn’t a ton of parking right next to it that I could see, so I would recommend parking somewhere on the street and walking to the cafe. The inside is so cute and spacious. I will say, there isn’t really anything special I saw on the menu, but they do the basics really well.

Ive yet to ask where the coffee is from or how the roast is so good, but the flavor is a giant step above most. Cool and unnecessarily spacious coffee shop with a wall that opens up to the street in non-summer seasons and featuring cool little (and giant) plants throughout. Come for the coffee, pastries, or burritos, but then check out the plants!

Giant Coffee is a little away from the main downtown core. If you are looking for a quiet place to get some work done and enjoy a not overly busy coffee shop environment - this is the place to go. Their honey vanilla latte was advertised as one of their unique specialities, so I had to try it. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of overly sweet caffeinated drinks, but boy, did this one hit it out of the ball park for me. The luscious, silky foam and smooth, milky coffee had delicate notes of aromatic honey. You couldn’t stop at one sip, it was just perfect. The way the roasted aroma of the coffee beans danced with the flowery honey aftertaste… it took me a minute to get back to reality. There was a selection of foods offered as well such as burritos and sandwiches. I spent quite a lot of time there and enjoyed it - they even had raised up little “office desks” with power for laptops where you can work and enjoy the cool people of Phoenix come in to socialize and grab some food. Just a great place to check out if you’re in the area.

Cute trendy coffee shop. Here on a Sunday its slow, depending on how busy they get it looks like a great space to study, read, or get some work done. Would totally meet up with friends here. Coffee has good flavor but I ordered a cappuccino and really got a latte with barely enough foam for some latte art, not a proper cappuccino. It definitely has the look and feel of a pretentious coffee shop that would be very up top of proper drink making so I felt a bit disappointed. Will probably stick with a drip if I come back, but they just didnt cut it for my cappuccino needs.

We were very happy to receive great espresso, latte, and hot chocolate at this coffee shop, rather than the usual American brewed. Stopped by around 1:30 pm on a Friday. Ordered a latte w/ oat milk and a slice of veggie quiche. The Good: the service was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. The barista had specific answers to my dumb question about oat vs almond milk. She was also proactive in letting me know that the slice of quiche would take 10 mins to heat in the toaster oven BEFORE I paid for it. I appreciated the heads-up. The latte was smooth and quite good. I expected run-of-the-mill quiche and got something more. Very flavorful with good depth - I really enjoyed it and would def try it again. The Mediocre: TEMPERATURE! Is it just me or are more and more coffee shops afraid to serve HOT espresso drinks? In short, my latte was only two degrees this side of hot. Will definitely make it a point to ask for a HOT drink next time. Also, despite 10 minutes in the toaster oven...the quiche was served with with an uneven mix of hot, cold, and lukewarm spots. It wasn’t the end of the world, but still kind of a bummer - particularly given how flavorful it was otherwise.Extras: fresh flowers and lots of natural lighting everywhere.Bottom line: would definitely recommend and will be back. If you like your drink hot...be sure to ask.

Once you manage to park and come inside, youll notice its the type of place that wants to remain hidden. The interior design is simple yet organised. I was running late this morning and saw a coffee shop near the CVS I stopped at to by allergy medicine. I didnt have breakfast and decided to try it out. It had an urban minimalist design, and sadly the coffee matched the decor. I order a chai latte with almond milk and when I tasted it there was something off about it, perhaps its the mix they use. I wanted a refund, but I had ordered an Uber and it was faster to just get something different. I ordered a cocoa thinking theres no way they could screw that up...well you know that saying about assumptions. It tasted like bland, powdery, almost flavorless cocoa powder mixed with milk. In short if you want to visit a cute, hip coffee shop thats NOT Starbucks, go to Copper Star at 7th Avenue and Glenrosa. Prices are comparable, and the food, drinks and service are exemplary.

Well, now... my search for urban style coffee shops continues in the downtown region. Found a gem of a shop at this spot! The atmosphere was the perfect feel of young urban energy, without immaturity. Just earlier that week, I stopped by a newly opened coffee shop located on Roosevelt. The facilities were off the chain. However, when I approached the counter, I was greeted... wait, no... I actually wasnt greeted! In fact, I got the feeling that I wasnt welcome there. Needless to say, I chose to take my business elsewhere. So, finding giant vindicated my efforts to find the next cool shop for me to chill at. Anthony made the experience that much more enjoyable. He was familiar with the latest in music (you know, the kind that you dont hear played on the radio all day long) and the many styles of good coffee. This is a definite new spot for me to hang at while going over scripts, planning exercise routines for clients or just to get a taste of energy from urban life.

Really good coffee. Seating is just alright though. Its mostly farm style seating along two long tables. Theres some high top counter space and then a few seats up front (that are very uncomfortable). This seems to be aimed at remote workers and doesnt really feel like a welcoming cafe setting which is why it went from 4 to 3 stars. If youre looking to work, great. If you want to meet up with a friend or two, find another place.

That isnt to say its not very good, its certainly in my top ten. But likely lower on that list than others. Its supplied by four barrel, which is a plus. When the doors of the coffee shop or open in fall and spring it is a wonderful place to sit; this is hands-down the reason to come to this coffee shop. Giant was at one point my go to shop for coffee. They served great coffee and food and the atmosphere was perfect for spending time reading and doing homework. Giant WAS the place for any specialty coffee enthusiast. While it is understandable why they had to change roasters, there are other aspects of the shop that are changing that take away from the details that at one time set Giant apart from other shops. Today I spent $6 on a honey vanilla latte that tasted like flavored milk. It seems like focus has been shifted away from the natural flavors of the coffee itself. The quality that went into their handcrafted beverages has drastically declined and they don’t even have lids that fit their cold cups properly. I may have been willing to look past one poorly crafted beverage and give the shop a second chance had my iced latte not leaked into my cup holder and onto my clothes because the lid didn’t fit the cup well enough. The shop was once staffed by enthusiastic baristas that we’re knowledgeable about coffee and truly cared about the quality of the drinks they made. Sadly, that is no longer the case. One of the gals behind the counter spoke very openly about not wanting to be there and was obviously not concerned about customer service. Giants attention to detail was what made the shop my top choice over others for over three years. Sadly, I won’t be returning anytime soon.
