PLEASE AVOID BUYING GARDEN SOIL FROM THEM.........I asked for gardening soil for my vegetable garden and they told that they have soil mixed with compost. But i received just soil and little bit of mulch mixed with it. There is no nutritional elements in the soil and my plants didnt grow at all. more over the soil is more like clay with very low water retention and none of my seeds got germinated. totally disappointed with my purchase and will not recommend.

We ordered a ton of pre-washed pea gravel. About half the load was washed, but the rest was 50% dirt, including clumps (see pic). Their response to our objection, including sending pics, was tough luck. Not happy!

I contacted Pioneer for my fall over seating project. After speaking with the sales rep I was informed that their sod mix would be best for my project. I purchased 2 yd.³ of the sod mix to spread over my existing lawn to over seed. The quality of the mix was terrible. Not only were there huge sticks, but there was an excessive amount of Pee gravel and other various large rocks. The more I worked into my lawn the more I realized that half of this was probably rocks and sticks. I’ve spent the past five hours attempting to remove as much as I possibly can and have barely made a dent. I have an expensive reel mower as well as a rotary mower that I am afraid to use on my lawn due to the damage that would be caused to the blades. I’ve reached out to Pioneer In hopes that they would make it right. Will post an update.

My favorite place so far, the service is great, delivery as expected and requested willingness to spend time with me to work through my project ideas and offer suggestions.

I will NEVER recommend using this location.Not sure if Kyle is the owners son, but I cant possibly see how he is still an employee here. My client went in asking for his professional opinion on items and he told him The manufacturer always messes all these pavers up so I wouldnt order them Shockingly, Kyle found some travertine pieces my customer actually liked.But wait! I called to order said pieces and when Kyle answered he acted as if I had ruined his spa day- gosh forbid we have to answer the phones..at work. I asked to order the pavers and he said The manufacturer can never seem to get the color right so I wouldnt order these. I advised to him that my client came in, spoke to him, and was advised these would be great. So I asked why he proceeded to offer them to customers, why Pioneer would still sell them if they had continuous issues, and they were still sold online. He just said okay and hung up on me.

2 of the rudest people working the counter I have ever encountered. Will definitely notgoing back to this location or any other pioneer location.

Needed rock for my back yard. Went to pioneer was told where to pull my truck and was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I would recommend pioneer to everyone. Very efficient

Why dont know what happened to this place you used to be able to come and get help right off the bat early those days are over I dont know its because of the covid-19 but very rude and everybody in their looks at you like you dont belong there Ive been buying Rock from these guards for the last 25 years this is the first time Ive never been treated this way there were no Latin speaking people there no diversity

DISABLED stay away!Just went to Pioneer Landscaping Materials in north Phoenix (1638 E. Deer Valley Road Location) to take advantage of their paver sale and also purchase some gravel and sand for my front & back yard project. I regret to say that there are no handicap parking spaces and the 2 ramps to access their sidewalk were completely blocked by metal tubs containing materials. There were no other entry points available for wheelchair access. My wife spoke to a salesman who did offer to lift me and my motorized chair (weighs around 500 lbs) over the curb and I refused since I didn’t want anyone to get hurt or damage my chair. I am unable to walk but am still quite active as far as my disabilities allow. I guess this Pioneer store prefers not to have those with disabilities come shop at their store. I didnt have a chance to look for what I needed and thus no purchase. I will never go back.

I purchased Sandy Loam which is not good at all..Total waste of money.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THEM!WORKERS ARE RUDE AND LAZY.
