This shop is the best in phoenix for true customer care. This is the only shop I bring my motorcycles to for service and tuning. Theyve performed everything from basic servicing to full on custom race motorcycle builds for me. The owner, Dustin Apgar, and everyone at DTR are stand up people. They will tell you the truth and always be honest about whats going on. They communicate well and stand behind their work. Id recommend DTR to any and everyone who wants quality work and honest people servicing their motorcycles!
I would say the best thing about this shop is the customer service and super friendly staff. They truly take pride in their motorcycle business. I had a race track motorcycle which I recently got and wanted to get fully serviced at a shop. They offer pickup and delivery which was very reasonable for me plus no strict time restrictions which was great as I didnt have to leave early from office. Even after they serviced my bike, I noticed that there was an oil leak and I immediately called them and they came down my home (as my bike was not street legal) and fixed the issue which turned out to be a loose bolt which they didnt even touch during the service. And the best part was that there was no charge for it. I have seen other dealers deliberately making money out of such issues but DTR takes pride in their work and I felt that they never wanted to feel the customer dissatisfied. In addition to that, they even gave contact information of some of the Ghilli Man racing members with whom I can pit out and ask questions about the motorcycles or get things fixed during the track day. This shop have some really talented and bike loving people who wants to help out other riders as much as they can. I will definitely visit this shop again in future
This shop is amazing. Dustin is a different guy in that he actually truly cares about your bike. He treats bikes brought in as they were his own and he services them as such. I had to ride almost 2 hours to his shop but it was well worth it and hes the only one i will trust touching my bike.I had a suspension setup at another shop and it was dangerous! Dustin knows his stuff and he is a great guy. You feel right at home when you walk in the shop. Cant give this place enough stars.
DTR is fantastic! I cant thank them enough for making my bike better than it has ever been. I drove 200 miles to take my bike here because I dont trust anyone else! DTR is a family run business with a comfortable and knowledgeable atmosphere.Thank you DTR!!
I love these guys. I live all the way in Buckeye and take my bike to them because of there good work and trust. Awesome guys keep it up. The only place I will ever bring my bike. Stunt build isup next 😁Jamaal
This shop really is all around awesome. Ive been going to DTR for well over a year and they have helped me with my ninja 650, my R6, and also my riding in general. All the guys are great and really take the time to do their job right. No other shop Id trust with my bikes.
I called a couple stores trying to get a quote for a valve adjustment with the head removed already(most shops were quoting me 5 hours because they didnt understand the head was already removed). Dustin answered the phone and knew immediately what I was asking for and gave me a great quote. Dustin took the time to explain to me in person what the issues he saw were and what complications they might cause. At the very end my bill came out to be less than the original quote. I highly recommend DTR Motorsports.
Got my bike serviced there back in September. I have been having to follow up with them since to get my Service Wrench removed on my 1098S. They called me a week after the new year ( I had called them many times). Bring it in and we will take care of it (maybe). I called and said I have an hour or so to bring it in... we cant get to you, there are 3 bikes ahead of yours... I have been waiting for 4 months! I dont have time for maybes. I asked them to reimburse me so I can take it to a reputable shop to have the service wrench removed. He said he had to discuss this with Dustin. I get a call back in an hour or so - will will meet you half way. Another shocker - here is your customer service. I will have Dustin call you back... still waiting. Customer service again at its best. I am taking it somewhere else to get done now and eating the cost which should have been taken care of by DTR... It is not the cost that urks me, it is the principle that they cannot complete the job and make it right. Its as if they stopped caring. Never going there again!
Walk in and only guy is on the phone for minutes and finally tells us theyre closed in 15 minutes. I informed the employee that Google maps had said they were open till 6 not 5pm. Guy gives two shots about that not that he should but IMO he should.
The group of guys there are some of the best guys and completely knowledgeable about bikes and service. Always customer friendly. Dustin is one GREAT GUY.
Best shop in AZ. They know more about my bike than the dealer ever has. Dustin is a wonderful guy and everyone in the shop is always helpful. Definitely try them out.
Great people! They helped me tune my suspension right as I walked in the door, and my bike has never felt better! Great conversation and looking forward to more visits in the future.
Great group of guys. Prices are reasonable, and they take pride in their work. They offer Grom training and Ive found it to be very helpful.
Dustin helped me sort out the correct suspension components for my 2016 Triumph Speed Triple 1050 S. I weigh in at 225 lbs. and it was not possible for me to get the sag set correctly with the stock Showa 43 mm front suspension. Dustin was able to get K-TECH U.K. to source the correct bits and ship them stateside. This was no easy task as there was no available spec for this new model. He and Matt did the install and the result is awesome and certainly worth it on every level. I have known Dustin since 2010 when he did the suspension on a Ducati Monster I was piloting. He is the real deal, a successful pro racer and technically brilliant. I love the team at DTR and wholeheartedly recommend them.
At the very least, come in to get your suspension adjusted. Theyre great here.Awesome shop.
Awesome place only place I buy motorcycle parts. And ONLY place Id take my bike for work...
Dustin and the crew at Dtr took care of my sport touring motorcycle. The suspension got squared away plus a little extra. Great knowledge here and great customer service.
Awesome Lightweight Moto Batteries here w/excellent sales and service team
Dustin Is always so amazing and friendly DTR feels like going to see great friends.
I met Dustin and crew at a racetrack event this last weekend. I was very impressed by their level of dedication and expertise.
Dustin and the guys run an exceptional shop. Wont let anyone else touch my bike.
This was the worst shop I have ever dealt with. None of the mechanics that answer the phone know anything without help from the owner Dustin...and Dustin is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of. Every time I have called and asked to speak with him, he is either too busy or out of the shop for the day. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. Dustin has NO IDEA how to run a business. After weeks of failed communication on their part, my bike is STILL not working properly. Once they had my money in their pocket, they stopped communicating and stopped doing god mechanical work.DO NOT GO TO DTR MOTORSPORTS, AS THEY ARE UNRELIABLE AND SCAMMERS.
Went to DTR Motorsports based on recommendations from several Ducati owners that had positive experiences. We know those bikes need lots of tender, love and care by an experienced hand. Originally, I was referred to DTR for suspension adjustments and setup as the owner is a competitive sportbike racer and familiar with proper street/track setups. I dealt with Dustin, the owner, though the whole experience and it was all positive. Im a hobbyist mechanic so Im the worst kind of customer. I know just enough to talk the lingo and understand what was done, but not so experienced I fell fully confident in performing all the work.My 2009 R1 was in need of valve clearance checks. Dustin checked in my bike, took notes on what I needed done which was really a full service (fluids, chain lube, valves, filter cleaning, spark plugs, etc). Dustin took note of several smaller items that needed fixing including my throttle free-play, clutch and brake lever throw distance. Good attention to detail instead of just doing the bare minimum. I asked him how he prefers to adjust valves (tight/loose) and he explained in full detail what he does and why he prefers it that way. Also, he suggested a suspension setup and, for the impact it had, it was pennies for the knowledge and time saved by having him do it.I called later the next day for a status on the bike and he returned my call within 30 minutes explaining the bike was done and ready for pickup in the morning. When I showed up in the morning, we went through setting the bikes suspension sag, pre-load, and bound/rebound settings for both the front and rear of the bike. Turns out, the whole suspension was too soft everywhere even for street riding. In the end, he provided me a full invoice including the specs for the before/after valve clearances for my records. The bike was noticeably better in performance and behavior, as well as better feeling with the suspension and controls adjustments. Was it a little expensive? It was. Before you discount that, know what youre paying for when you go here such as expertise and honesty. For what I paid, I felt it was a fair price knowing my bike was cared for and the work was done right. Both are in short supply in the shop world, and both are WELL worth the cash because youll pay later even if you save a few bucks up front. Take your bike here and get back to enjoying your ride!
Had some poor maintenance done by a dealer mechanic on my 1098 that resulted in serious damage to a cylinder. Dustin not only did excellent work on repairing this problem but helped coach me through working with the dealership for compensation and handling a lot of the details. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with DTR, I’ll never take my bike anywhere else.
Dated 7-24-15. PLEASE READ IF YOU EVER GO THERE!!!!!!!!! First off North Valley Honda is the place to have your bike looked at. This place was a joke. Took my custom GSX-R 1000 here for a new chain and sprocket and they even looked at my bike and said they could order the right parts and have it done the next day. Great I said. Then I went there and sat for ever and at the end they realized they ordered the wrong one and had no idea how to find the one I had. Then Dustin wouldnt take the blame for it and said it wasnt their fualt and was very disrespectful. I kept my cool and that made him more mad. I simple asked for an oil change to make up for it and he said if you buy the oil!!!! Lol what a joke. Im spending $100s of dollars here and you cant do a oil change?! Wow and to top it off they got all defensive because they were embarrassed they didnt know how to order the right parts and said it was a common mistake. I guess I have to look up the stuff for them and hold there hand throw the whole thing. Im not mad about it, I just wanted Dustin to take responsibly for his guy that messed up and he wouldnt. I never write reviews because I understand things happen but this one I just dont want someone else to have to deal with it. Thanks for reading this and hopefully they learn from this and it doesnt happen to the wrong guy because they would be introube. Please look me up on Facebook so you know this is a real review and not some jerk off how didnt get a discount and is making up things. STEPHEN NOS ADAM. have a good day and ride safe everyone!!!
After asking ridenow how much to tune my suspension for a track day and them telling me 130 bucks i was glad to call dtr and have them do it for 30 :) and it was quality quality quality service and im picky
I took my vz 800 for new wire harness and they took a long time to finish the bike with no communication during the processes When they finally finished.later that month I notice they did not setup my turn signals correctly when I use the turn signals both side turn on. Then another 3 weeks passed and my bike was acting up again so I took of the chrome off to search for the problem and I notice my fuel pump was really loose and as I kept looking bolts were missing and the throttle cable was not placed correctly it was just hanging I wont go back. they do over price and will bs ..
Went in for some general suspension questions the owner was very condescending and seemed bothered. I wouldnt go back or recommend them to any of my friends.
Awesome experience very knowledgeable
Im the guy you held down on the asphalt July 2nd just got out of the burn center.burns on 40percent of my body.
Did a great job with service, tune, advice/install of a radar detector/loud whistle on 2009 FZ1.
Amazingly nice and knowledgeable.
Dustin is the man. Called around the whole valley looking for a tool and Dustin was the only one who could sell me one! He has done tire changes for me at a moments notice and will keep my business for a long time.
Amazing people! ! Love this place!!!
