Very friendly employees. Served my MTG needs well. Love that I can use their website to see what is in stock and bring my list to the counter. Have been here a couple times, and the employee who helped me the first time didnt have a card in stock I was looking for and went back a couple weeks later and he remembered me and asked if I still needed the card. Whenever my friends ask where we should go to buy our cards I suggest here!

I visited this store last week. I was pleasantly surprised at how welcoming everyone was. It was nice to chat with customers and staff without some of the normal pushback I get when I visit game stores alone. I wish Id been able to buy something larger, but I only had space in my luggage for some dice. I will definitely visit my next time in Phoenix (and Ill bring a bigger suitcase! Lol)Edit: The only thing missing was a lending library. It would have been nice to hang out and learn a few new games.

I did not catch his name but he was the owner and absolutely made us feel welcomed even though he didnt have what we needed he called other stores to check and see if they had them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart even though we should of been looking for card shops around the grade schools area, thank you for making our experience amazing! 20/10 would recommend!

Jesse was an awesome guy and reason to keep coming back to the store. Not sure if he is still around but cool little shop with reasonable deals. Make sure to check it out for MTG and gaming needs

Went in for pokemon cards, they do have a good selection compared to other places, however prices are just insane. Was told 69.99 for a chilling reign etb, Went to a different store and bought the same product for 39.99

Called to ask for the price of a card. Told him I wasnt interested after hearing the price. He beradded saying thats the normal market price and was angrily hung up on. Very rude. edit: never said I could get it cheaper elsewhere. Owner is putting words in my mouth, said it was too expensive for me and I declined that is all, owner is not only petty, but tells lies on the internet to cover up his unprofessionalism like a child. Buy your cards from someone who has some class and people skills avoid this store.

They didnt have the cards we went in for, ( yu gi oh) but the staff was super nice and ot was still a very cool shop to visit. Tons of Magik and pokemon cards!!

Amazing great people fun atmosphere

Ive only been here when the store held smash tournaments. Theres plenty of parking outside, so thats nice. The premises are clean. It doesnt smell bad, always a huge plus. The staff has always been courteous. Really, I feel the experience has been exceptional. Sometimes the Smash tournaments are too big for the capacity of the store. But thats not their fault. In fact, the size of the tournaments probably indicates player really like coming to North Valley Games. Bravo Zulu

I was just getting back into magic the gathering. This store is unbelievable. The most friendly staff you could ever ask for. It actually gives you faith back into customer service. I was form out of state visiting to find a clean,fun,friendly store not judgmental at all. They had drinks and snacks for sale that were surprisingly very good not just here take it or leave it stuff. I don’t write reviews. So if you want a good game shop staffed with people who care about customers then you come here.

I appreciate that their inventory for singles is online. I know Jesse has been working hard on getting all the singles regraded to their correct conditions and it clearly shows. NVG has definitely upped their game since hes been taken on!

It has a friendly and knowledgeable staff, a clean environment with a great vibe, and awesome prices and trade in value. NVG has really stepped up their game since the new management has taken over. Definitely worth visiting. The staff are a lot friendlier than the guys who were there when I first started going there. Highly recommended

This was my first visit to North Valley Games and it was a fantastic experience! They were even training a new employee and everyone was friendly and helpful. The store was clean and extremely well organized. Its 30 minutes from me and I will definitely be back and this store will probably become my main store.

Super nice guy running the place. Honestly the nicest MTG place I have been to in AZ. The rest of the places have a strong b.o. smell as soon as you walk in. This place doesnt. Seems fairly clean. They seem like the most sophisticated shop in the valley too with a great inventory of cards and an actual website (most of the others only have Facebook pages). That website is actually useful too with an online ordering system! This isnt the closest place to me. But its worth the extra few minutes to get here.

My son and his friends love this little shop and always ask me to take them. Super low-key, clean facility, nice employees. Very patient with the kids who come in and want to look through all the cards. It looks like they have some fun gaming events during the week, havent been to any to report but they seem well-organized. Im glad we have this little spot in our neighborhood!

This is the very best of shops in Phoenix! The staff is amazing and the customers are great as well. They have wonderful events and are equipped to serve your every need.

Great environment and clientele. Events fire just about every day. Im a big fan of their online ordering system with options for delivery and in-store pick-up.

They must not make their money on selling board games because I don’t know if anybody works there or not but I could have walked out with whatever I wanted because no one was there to help or even acknowledge I walked in the store. I guess I’m going to Amazon.

Its a great place if you play magic the gathering. They dont have Pokemon singles on display so if you dont know. Exactly what youre looking for it can be more challenging

The food selection was awkward and limited. The man was using a home crock pot and Tupperware for food he was selling. BIG RED FLAG: He emailed my brother and asked his group not to bring outside food/drinks and to buy what he sells; thats totally fair but then he gave the breakdown of the average each member of his group was spending per week, and how much hed prefer they be spending per week. I thought that was totally inappropriate.

The guy who runs this place is the biggest loser assss hat i have ever met. He will low ball u, scam u and treat you with disrespect. Dont go here, find elsewhere to play, buy or trade. They have a terrible card selection and its way overpriced. They will try to take full advantage of your business with no intention to earn your business, probably why its failing so bad.

Very large selection of games and cards to be seen. Behind the counter in a small room they have boxes upon boxes of cards. The gentleman up front was very kind as well. The patrons, however, were in the worst need of some deodorant! Overall would be back with some sort of respirator.
