Greetings Fellow Silver/Gold Bugs!Here’s a quick review of CMI in Phoenix, including a bit of personal transaction history to help flesh out the opinions expressed herein.I’ve done a fair amount of business with CMI over the years and the reason I continue to do so is because I trust them, plain and simple, and because they have always offered me the best prices, whether buying or selling.For example, in Aug 2016, I sold 2000 Franklin half dollars to CMI, selling back to them after buying those coins eleven years earlier. Both transactions, the buy and the sell, went like clockwork, flawless and without problems.Spot price was hovering at around $20.40 and I received close to that when we locked in the deal.On another occasion, in Oct 2012, I showed up on their doorstep in Phoenix with 4000 coins, one hour after making the phone call, and a broker met me in the parking lot with a five gallon bucket strapped to a two wheel dolly. We quickly rolled those coins to the elevator and then to the eleventh floor, where I got a look at their spotless and definitely upscale offices while waiting briefly for the check to arrive. And I got close to spot on that one too.As to shipping coins or bullion back and forth, there’s a good slideshow on how to pack them up at their website, under “Silver”. Taping everything properly does seem challenging at first, but turned out to be less troublesome than expected. I have had several transactions with CMI. Each has been exceptionally professional with excellent communication and assurances of privacy. Their records of transactions are noted and processed completely on paper and then destroyed when the transaction is complete so there is no computer record for anybody to hack, lose, compromise, or steal. I wish my credit card data was protected as well as CMI protects my information. I went to their office during a business trip and felt completely at ease speaking with the owner, Bill Haynes, and his staff about my investment goals. If I had read the information on his website 20 years ago, I would have avoided several precious metal investment mistakes. There are other coin and bullion dealers within easy driving distance of my home but I always find the best service, product availability, honest and straightforward transactions when dealing with CMI Gold & Silver.

Several years ago I made the decision to further diversify my financial holdings by adding gold and silver coins to my portfolio. I investigated several sources for gold and silver holdings and decided that CMI seem to offer the best opportunity to deal with a company with an excellent reputation. I must admit that buying rather large amounts of coinage over the phone and through the mail was a bit stressful. I knew at the time that several unscrupulous members on TV were touting the market and I was very wary. At the same time I was wondering what would be the process of eliminating my position at some point in the future. What I need to have the colons assayed weighed and measured etc. before I could eliminate all or a portion of my holdings.At the beginning of this process everything I ordered arrived at my home in northern Washington in excellent condition 100% in keeping with my order. The security of the shipment was insured and no problems came up at this time.When it came time to sell I simply made a call to CMI and ask what I had to do? I was told bring your coins down and we will give you a check. My wife and I did go to the CMI office in Phoenix where we were given the daily spot quotes for our holdings. The CMI staff explained to me how they verified the purity and weight of the gold colons were done using an appropriate black box. The process was over in a matter of minutes. After everything was verified with no stress to me or my wife we were presented with a final check.The process from my initial phone call several years ago to the deposit of the check in my banking account was absolutely flawless. Over the years I have done business with a variety of gold dealers. Mostly in Arizona, but also outside of AZ. Moving forward, I will not deal with any other dealer besides CMI Gold & Silver. Their brokers dont rush me when Im on the phone. They answer my questions and I know my gold will show up on time and packaged safely. In the past, I found that just trying to get the lowest price ended up costing me more in headaches. CMI still has competitive prices from what I see, but the service I receive justifies if they didnt. Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time with the countless shading dealers out there who are just pushing product and dont care about you or the loyalty of a customer.

We recently did quite a large international transaction with CMI, and it was our very first. The industry is not well regulated and it was very difficult for us to find a company with which we were comfortable. Discreet location, easy transaction.My personal experience was satisfying will continue to use CMI as the go to place for G&SI ended up here by mistake and was taken care of by Dick Tracy not sure if thats his real name or a cover up name to protect his identity but he was professional from beginning to end.I didnt get a receipt for my purchase and selection is slightly small, parking can be a headache if your not familiar with the area there is a parking lot on Whitton ave and 2 Ave on the Westside of the street I paid 2 buck.
