This throwback soda shop is a nice addition to the High Street atmosphere. We didnt know what we were getting ourselves into when we strolled into this cute little ice cream counter. They have a very creative menu of sweet treats, mostly shakes and floats - all that seemed delightful by description. A team of bubbly friendly youth (the Jerks, if you will) went into a flurry of hyper-motion to assemble our order. A Peanut Gallery and a Vanilla shake. What we received where plastic cups overflowing with wonderfully assembled sugary decadence. Yikes! I couldnt really tell if it was good quality ice cream because it was so covered in other goodies. Overall, it was very good and a lot of stuff in, and on, a cup. A bit mutch for one, we felt. Well know better to split it next time. It is one place that you can actually spend more on ice cream than at Coldstone.

OMG we were visiting from another state and I have been craving this place since we left! I customized my sweet treat by changing it from a turtle shake to a turtle sundae with vanilla ice cream. Sooooo delicious! 😋. Also, the young lady (short with dark hair and glasses) and young man (average height, brown hair) that waited on us were super friendly and respectful. I thought about taking a star away bc there was another girl that was starting her shift (3pm) that didnt have good customer service (I heard her interact with the customers on the side of us). However, we did not have to deal with her so I didnt want my review to reflect that.

Its a small location with seating outside which is just fine. The staff is wonderful and one stood out greeting you with infectious smile and enthusiasm. A must place to visit and what we ordered tasted great.

Omg these milkshakes are huge!Got the chocolate one and it was delicious. My friend got the cake one and it was sweet.They also lit the candle on it which is awesome.It was packed on a Friday night.Not many tables.But don’t forget to check the back it’s awesome. You enter into another world. It’s pretty awesome.

Took my son here for a birthday dessert and this place didnt disappoint! $12 for a shake had me skeptical, but after seeing the size and tasting the shake, it was well worth it! I got the cereal killer shake. Strawberry milkshake with a rice crispy treat, strawberry Pop tart, fruity pebbles on the rim and fruity Pebble whipped cream!

Had a milkshake and a float. Both were delicious. But I think The Yard has better presentation on their stuff. More over the top extras and more picture worthy. The staff was super friendly and when they heard it was my friends birthday, they added birthday stuff to her shake and a candle which I thought was super sweet. I would take my kids. But its not so special that Id need to go again without the excuse to bring them. The shakes were big and good... Just not wow.

Got a SWEET tooth? Go here, man its like Willy Wonka exploded in your mouth. Great price, I paid $12 which is very affordable. One of these can feed two people. But if you hate sharing sweets like me, get ready for a sugar rush. This location was very busy, but the line went by fast as they have multiple people on staff.

This place has an amazing variety of yummy goodness in a cup! You won’t be hungry after trying one of these bad boys!!! The taste, the texture, and the awesome tastebuds in your mouth will be like hello! Each bite is rich in flavor! Keep up the ideas and I hope to see more locations! Everything was fresh!

You can caption this: Overpriced, overly sweet, and over the top milkshakes. The only reason I gave a 2nd star is because the staff was friendly and the shakes are very pretty and photogenic. If you are looking to spend $50+ for desert for a family of four, this is the place. Just be prepared for no one to finish their milkshake because 1) the ice cream they use is already crazy sweet even before they mix in the sugary candies and cookies and 2) the cheap paper straw becomes unusable for drinking a thick milkshake within about a minute. Overall, a good idea ruined by poor execution.

Expensive. Too sugary. About 13$ for cheesecake ice cream. Presentation looked cool but after eating the top, the rest was like drinking multiple cups of sugary water. If its rated highly by people, its only because of how it looks for their Instagram. Staff is very nice though, polite and smiley.

Our first visit here. The back rooms are very cool! The milkshakes were very tasty and my my wife & kids loved their treats that came with the shake. Its pretty much a full meal!

Delicious dessert options! I had the Peanut Gallery milkshake, it was amazing! My family tried the Death by Chocolate and were equally impressed. Such a unique dessert experience. We drove 30 minutes each way to try this place out and it was totally worth it! I really wish there was a location on the north west part of Phoenix.

This place is great. They have floats and shakes that have ridiculously over-the-top toppings. The drinks can be a little pricey but it is actually a lot of food. The drink I got was a float with a full piece of cheesecake on top.The staff are very friendly and professional. Everyone is masked up and you can tell they keep the place really clean. The cashier is behind a piece of plexiglass. You order and they bring your drink out to the sidewalk where there are several tables.Its an interesting business and definitely worth checking out if youre ever over by Desert Ridge.

Went there on lunch break. Our bus didnt want to start this general contractor who was working there a couple of buildings over. Helped us out was very helpful. Soda Jerk employees were very friendly.

Bit pricey but there is no doubt about the quality and taste. Highly recommend.

Update: They have been for months/are currently having trouble getting the non dairy ice cream in due to Covid-19 complications. Although I will always love this place, I cant make a berry flavored sorbet work for my Death by Chocolate shake. There is no email on the website provided to speak to the owner so I have to say something here because there is no point hassling the kids they have working here. I really hope they find an alternative brand of non dairy ice cream soon if their original supplier is having these complications._____________Kind, welcoming staff that helped me with my non-dairy needs! If you want a sugar rush, this place is for you. Highly decorated sweets on various 14oz cups for $15 with customer service like the old diner days. They happily make any accomodations and make sure you receive quality ingredients and excellent taste. They have outdoor seating and the environment is very clean with a welcoming atmosphere.

Great crazy-rich shakes! I (stripes) got Death by Chocolate, and my wife (Halloween hair) got the Pucker Up Float.They were quite good, and the staff was helpful in getting us the right drinks fast!

The employees are always quick to offer their favorites but if you’ve been before they are great at suggesting new items or OG shakes that will please and have you coming back for more. Using local products and maintaining freshness in their standards with every item keep me and my family coming back for more.

These are next level milkshakes and are absolutely delicious. I don’t know how else to describe them other than they are pricey but worth it. I’d share because it’s quite large.

Crowded but well worth the wait. Everyone deserves to get a lil closer to diabetes every now and then. Lol. The service was friendly and menu diverse between overly sweet and semi- sweet. The whip cream is extremely fresh and holds up in AZ heat. I only wish they had more indoor seating.

This place was fantastic! I highly recommend so many things. The hot chocolate was good and covered in a waffle bowl with more treats. Their whipped cream is made fresh every hour. The title shake and Peanut gallery were awesome too. The tuxedo literally came with a full size ice cream sandwich on top! It isnt somewhere youll get your treats super fast, but the wait is worth it. Also, their hidden back rooms (The Nemesis Club) were awesome! As someone who has done a ton of escape rooms, their theme is spectacular and the price was very reasonable for the experience. They have seating in the back if you do an escape room at The Nemesis Club where you can enjoy a tasty treat and talk over the fun adventure.

Their ice cream is a little too sweet and the flavor is not strong enough to taste like much.

My friend group and I had such a fantastic experience at Soda Jerk! The Shakes are out of this world and will satisfy any dessert craving you can have! Want Sweet? Boom - Oreo Tuxedo. Want more Salty? Boom - Peanut Butter Shake. They have it all! This is a must try if you are touring the Phoenix area or would love to just try something new. I can guarantee you will be blown away!

This place was a treat to try with over-the-top shakes! We had the death by chocolate and the brownie was fudgey and delicious. The chocolate caramel around the rim to stick on chocolate chips had a buttery taste and was fun to eat. Well be back.

This was the most interesting ice cream Ive ever eaten. They made it gluten free at my request as well which was awesome!I beta tested one of the Nemesis escape rooms too and that was AMAZING. Im shocked at how clever it was technologically, and had a blast.Definitely a place Ill be coming again!

I had the chocolate turtle shake and it was SO delicious! The service was outstanding and quick. The owners are also very nice and do everything they can to ensure a smooth and positive experience throughout the visit. I cant wait to come back and try more flavors! It was a little far from us but definitely worth the drive!

This place has incredible desserts but we were so excited to bring the kids and see their reaction to the massive fun desserts but unfortunately there were no pictures or examples of the desserts so the kids were confused and didnt have any idea what they would want. I had to pull up their social account to show them pictures. It was a bit of a bummer when we were trying to do something different and fun.

I tried to stop by the: Soda Jerk Co. Milkshake Bar at: 5350 E High St #109, Phoenix, AZ 85054 .... for a (1st) time visit ....on Friday 01/01/2020 around 05:00pm .. and well... I couldnt get in ... and I left ...............The place was so very crowded ... ..a line going out the door....(the door was not even propped open...(people leaning up against to to keep it open!!) ...kids running around with no face masks... The whole thing just didnt feel safe ...I didnt t feel like CDC guidelines were being followed ...I even tried to do a on-line order for a curbsde pick-up ...Unfortunately I couldnt find these options... nor could I find a menu anywhere to see what was available..!So ....I left... maybe if they are still around in the Summer of 2021 .. I will try it...!?!?!? Who Knows!!??

Treats are absolutely amazing and samefor the location on High Street. But need more staff and efficiencies so line moves more quickly. Would be better for experience (and their revenues). There is a guy not wearing mask behind the counter, and not enforcing masks or social distancing for the customers in a very tight space. And again we waited so long just being third in line. Lets give this place space to grow, the treats are amazing but we will not be returning during the pandemic.We would have like to try it, waited 30 minutes and only 2 people served and 6 in front of us. Hows that a business model. It was 5pm on a Wednesday.

Popular place so be prepared to wait a while. Nice artistic creations when it comes to their premium selections. The basics are very basic. Great place to visit once or twice.

Drove 45 minutes to get a watered down milkshake . How do these people rate it a 5 star ?. Have they not had McDonald’s ice cream or Dairy Queen? No offense the staff was friendly and moved quick . Presentation was so beautiful lived up to the pictures .

Only just ok. Was hoping for more after seeing all the pics but it didnt live up unfortunately. Appearance was amazing but it didnt taste as good as it looks. The shake part was very icy and chunky. I would have thought it would be rich and creamy but it was not at all! All in all disappointing coming from a shake connoisseur!

SO MANY GOOD CHOICES. A cherry cheesecake float?? A birthday cake shake?? Seasonal stuff?? I love it! The cherry cheesecake float with literal cheesecake on top can’t be beat. Such a great idea. It’s a bit far from me but it was well worth the trip.

The only way to describe this place is insane... you might think youre just ordering a simple milkshake for $12.00 (yes, its definitely not cheap) but youll end up getting three desserts in one! Do yourself a favor and avoid the boring flavors (chocolate, vanilla, etc.) - my favorites are the Pucker Up! Float and Partners In Crime Milkshake. Youll also want to make sure you dont fill up on dinner beforehand.
