Very unreliable and unprofessional shop. The shop mgt. committed to specific day and time for completion. All while our process line was down. Their mgt. even got hot and bothered when we called to check on the status the day they promised to have the work completed, turned out they hadn’t even touched it. To top it off the work they performed was shotty at best. The bearings that they had for reference didn’t even slip over the shaft. We had to manually sand the shaft in the field to make the bearings fit. Not the best practice, but after hours, during an emergency repair, having been down an extra three days due to false commitments, it will have to do. In a pinch I would never use them again even though they are literally around the corner. I’d rather ship the work to the Los Angeles area. I might pay a bit more in shipping but at least I’ll be getting professionalism, experience, reliability, and craftsmanship! Everything I didn’t get with Allied Machine Works!
