I will agree with the lengthy negative comments above. I have purchased quite a few large items at this shop while furnishing our 2nd home. While the owner appeared to be drinking and talked a lot and was easily distracted, we were patient and got some beautiful items. However, when I gave the owner some items to sell, with written contract, he did not follow through (understatement of the year). I called after 6 months and I have called frequently and visited the shop frequently asking to be updated on my account. I received excuse after excuse. Voice mail was often full. I am very very mad about this as he now has our items to sell and we will NEVER be compensated.Take your items elsewhere and not worth it to shop there. This business is not above board and extremely shady as is the owner. I feel duped and feel all I can do is to let other potential customers be aware.

We have had to hound the owner to get payment from the sale of our items ever since we signed them over to him. He can never remember what we signed over to him, even though I have given him photos of each item multiple times. Every time we go in to see what sold and ask about a payment we get excuses, including, the check is in the mail. Nothing ever arrived by mail. Over 3 1/2 years we have only had 2 checks and that is because we stayed on top of him with weekly visits. For the last six months we have asked for our unsold items back and more excuses on why he cannot get them to us. In my opinion, take your consignment items elsewhere.

Owner was extremely rude and seemed drunk, on Sunday afternoon. Questioned me on why I wanted to purchase items. If you have items here I would pull them immediately. If you are a shopper looking for items, I recommend staying away from this business and its awful owner.

Love this place. Very unique and beautiful items. The owner has always been very helpful and nice. Many times I just browse and still very kind.

If I could, I would give this place zero stars, but that’s not an option. We went by today (Sunday) which we realize is a day they aren’t open, I just wanted to show my mom a Mink Shawl I had been eyeballing from the window. Well, the owner was there and let us in. “Cool,” I thought, until he became a complete a-hole for no reason. If you’re closed, don’t let us in, that simple, we weren’t pounding on the door, l was just simply checking something out through the window. Furthermore, as if we weren’t already turned off by his unwelcoming crude behavior and attitude towards us, I asked him a question and blatantly he replied, “I’m not answering any questions.” SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! Sad thing is, I’ve shopped here before. You lost a loyal customer today and I will advise anyone I know to avoid this “establishment.” I’ve NEVER in my life come across anyone so vial, unprofessional, and rude.

Very very rude owner. I went here to discuss potentially consigning furniture and he wouldnt even discuss the process seemed annoyed that I asked questions about how it was split and said that there may be an additional charge for cleaning furniture when I asked if that charge came off of the final consignment fee he said no and then when I asked to confirm he said yes it wasnt clear at all and I was incredibly incredibly nice sweet as sugar to him the entire time and he continued to snap and finally said I dont want your chairs and open my door and threw my chair back into the car for me and said good luck and walked away...I was leaning toward not consigning with him anyway due to him going back and forth and its seeming as though he was going to end up charging me for quote unquote repairs.the chairs only had a small amount of paint which he was taking an alcohol on q-tip and wiping over them. I could easily put these on Facebook Marketplace which I will do and sell them for the price he was saying. Just thought I would avoid the hassle and try to consign since I came in to look at furniture to purchase at one point.when I spoke to some people in the community they said that he was famous for this type of thing. And that they would never comes on with him they sent me to another location where Ive been very happy with and I have since left a great review for.Avoid is my opinion definitely for consigning!

WOW. We can not believe this place. The owner of this establishment was absolutely the biggest racist a-hole weve met in a long time. First of all he stank of liqueur, secondly he started being a jerk with another customer because he thought he looked Mexican...then started with me...nodding his head to me and saying something in Spanish. Completing his sentence saying, and I quote, you know what I mean amigo. I replied, excuse me? Im not Latino, Im Italian. To which this guy started going, hes Italian, look out, hes Italian.. Then my mother is walking by going past the guy and he goes to her..., be careful, hes Italian, he might knife you...KNIFE YOU? Really?I then say, Excuse me?? Thats my mother.To which he slurs, ohh yeah, maybe we should look out for her too! The Italians AND the Mexicans..Im sorry but this behavior is absolutely unacceptable. My mother has lived in the area for years, and this BS racist drunk should not be in allowed near the public. We were in the market for a fireplace mantle and ready to spend a few thousand dollars. This clown not only lost our business, but showed his true colors. Is this what Pinehurst has become? A hot spot safe-haven for racism from drunk arrogant white people?We were appalled, and left the establishment immediately. He went so far as to keep up his smart mouthing as we were leaving and it turned some more customers off, who left.I cannot believe a proprietor would behave this way in public in this day and age. Perhaps it was the booze he stank of, perhaps all the booze did was loosen a tongue that already had those thoughts brewing.Either way, we strongly warn others away from this man, his store, and his racist behavior.
