Darrell and his people are extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I had all the knowledge necessary to install my new parts correctly. I will definitely be doing more business with them.

If you own an air cooled or other old VW, this is the only one place in Pinellas County you need to go and the only place you should go. Daryl is an expert mechanic and can quickly find out exactly what is going on with your car, and fix that specific concern. Ive always found him to be affordable as well. Patty is always pleasant to interact with in the office. D&A is low key but important to the air cooled VW community in this area.

When I arrived in the area I asked every VW owner where the VW shop was located and I was told D&A. I needed engine work and Darryl expertly fixed my issues. My Westy is my daily driver and I am happy to bring my bus into D&A because I know it will get the best maintenance at a fair price.

Ive known Daryl and his wife Patty for almost 30 years. And my family has been using them forever. They are honest and wont mess with you just because your a girl like other places. Daryl will tell you the truth even if its not what you want to hear but if you tell him I have this amount of money where do I start. He will tell you truthfully. He is the only person I trust to fix any issues I have. And he always looks over my truck before I go on a trip so I dont have to worry.

I used D & A for years. I took my VW Camper there for repairs & was hooked. Darrell & his staff have always been professional & very friendly and the best part is the price was very fair for the excellent work. I also purchased a beautiful camper with all the works. Unfortunately I had to sell it due to illness & not being able to camp. But I am now ready for a van/bus. D & A will be my 1st stop. I have had VWs since the late 70s. From bugs, bus & campers, too many to count. Im hooked on them. See you very soon D&A.

I dont know whats up with these guys but they just seem like cranky old boomers to be honest. I was checking out a car they had in their lot because i saw it was for sale and of the guys came out and almost ran me over. This isnt the first time theyve done something like this to me. 1 star because they just seem like sour old men.

My daughter took her 2002 Volkswagen Beetle to this shop, spending over $600 dollars in repairs and both repairs are not repaired. She went to this repair shop due to all the Volkswagen vehicles in their lot hoping she found a good repair place. They fixed the cooling fan which is not working within six months of the repair. They fixed the power window and messed up other function for i..e. trunk lock only and door lock only works some of the time. She took the car back to shop for the window which was sometime later within 3 months and told them these locked worked before they repaired the window. They were the last repair workers in the door! Then the repaired cooling fan went out, therefore I do not recommend this shop to anyone.

This OLD MAN can yell all he wants, but this OLD LADY will give it back just as hard. I was told by one of his clients to go see him, except not that day due to the fact his whole tool cabinet fell over. Well I made a mistake and visited him that day.The first thing I did was walk inside and make an appt, then notified him that I did. I was planning a trip to Cocoa beach and need to know if it would make it before my appt with his repair shop.Which by the way 2 x before I had dropped in and the unfriendly staff pretty much ran me off when I was looking at bug for sale. First red flag I ignored. Second red flag is next, I simply said my engine is spitting out oil and I think there is oil in my float.I simply said the wrong word along with a guy I know said it may be this, THIS OLD MAN went off on me. I understand after 40 years you have heard it all and know it all.Well I am sorry I called the filter a float and the guy who I referred to was a new friend looking out for me telling me I need to get it looked at. THIS OLD MAN said yea well what did he say exactly? Yea everybody thinks they know it allAnd then continued to barrage me with comments; well lets look at the oil, no wonder youre half low and then yelled at me like he was my father about my oil being low. I already knew it was low since I said I was needing it fixed! He then took off the cap and started walking away. I said hey come back here with my cap, he continued inside and came out with another cap I presumed because it was not the same cap I had before. When I said hey that is an original cap he continued to yell at me and say the filter is gone I am getting a new one.Well THEN ASK ME DONT WALK AWAY WITH MY OIL CAP LIKE YOU OWN MY CAR! Especially after NO ONE I know from a local volks group gave me his name or number to go to.In fact someone recommended another place off McMullen Booth, even knowing I live right down the street from this repair shop for classic VWs. THIS OLD MAN then got in my face and said I accused him of stealing my cap. I said No YOU OLD MAN put the words in my mouth for me.Came back for my appt and he refused service. Ok I get it, but DO NOT WALK ME DOWN AND FOLLOW ME TO MY CAR and expect me to just be humble when you yelled at me again. I am a woman half your age and you shout at me. Well a woman can shout back!As I was getting into my Classic 1965 VW Bug he threatens me And if you think you are going to have a Car Show... I quickly let him know by shouting for all to hear: I WILL HAVE AHUG A BUG VW ONLY CAR SHOWJULY 28, 2019 ATENGLAND BROTHERS PARKwith German air cooled engines only as this old man complained nobody has anymore. Telling me the car shows are all mixed now. Really?!You know what hurts the most online, google reviews that tell the truth. I am with the other reviewer who was ran off by your employee and almost hitting him.Get off your high horse YOU are not the only VW mechanic in town.

These people have repaired by wifes VW Cabrio in the past and to me have done a excellent job at reasonable prices. I like having someone to go to that is not just a parts swapper, but really knows the vehicles they work on. I dont think you can go wrong with D&A Auto Service for your VW. They will probably save you a considerable amount of money over the dealerships.
