The selection is excellent, the prices are great. However it is not very clean, and smells horrible. Fresh meats and seafood are just out in the open for anyone to grab. Wash fruits and veggies well (I have seen customers grab fish with their bare hands then go touch fruits and veggies with those same hands), and cook meats well, and you should be fine. They have every sauce and spice, and several specialty kitchen items.

I always see it but never go in. I am going to have to check it out...when Im around next.

This is our favorite Asian grocery store in Pittsburgh. Its a little smaller than Lotus but it has its own free parking lot. You wont find everything every time, but the selection they do have is plentiful. It is cramped so If youre claustrophobic, have small children, or are in a wheelchair you might have a little difficulty moving around parts of it. All in all, I highly recommend it. They have fresh fruit and vegetables, home and kitchen items, candy, frozen items, live seafood, and lots of noodles and rice! I recommend the 40 lb bags of rice.

It has own parking lot so probably that was the o nly reason I stopped by. As soon as I walked in, a very very strong odor hit me,(it smelled like urine) even though I was wearing mask, it was just too strong I felt like I would throw up. I didnt want to touch anything in that store, I came right out. They cant be in compliance, I highly doubt it.

I went b/c of the great reviews, very excited to go, but as soon as i stepped foot in the entrance, i was hit with an overwhelming smell of decaying produce mixed with old fish. Im no prude to smell, but my gag reflex kicked up.it was awful. i went in ike 30 steps, and had to run out. Maybe I went on a bad day.

Great. Cashier can speak multiple language fluently, English, Cantonese and mandarin.🤗 Store is neat and sells various kind of Chinese food.Compare the price of Asian groceries stores in Pittsburgh, here is cheaper.And I didnt expect they will import the milk tea dumplings from Taiwan..lol. also capelin!eggy fish!I found them for an aged and I got it! Hoping they dont get the eggs out..

Great place to find hard to locate ingredients for Asian dishes. Wide selection of Chinese snacks. The narrow aisles and distance from the main part of The Strip keeps the number of Suburbanites to a minimum.

6 people ahead of me all with full baskets four available lines only one is opened. Why? I will never go there again and it really smells bad

This was our go-to spot for Asian food/produce in Pgh. (Wash any produce well before eating.) Fairly typical for the area, but easier to park, get in and out.

A small shop to buy the Asian spices and cooking items in one place. Lots of Chinese noodles and foodies. A bit on the expensive side as majority of food items are imported.

Love this place. Actually had to update my review. They expanded to the space next door and now its nice and open. Always seems to have what I want. Everyone is a hard worker. Keeps the store clean. Sells ube ice cream! Carrying more Filipino foods! Pork belly, tocino ect. Nice selection of vegetables.

The produce here is fresh, plentiful, and very affordable. Fish, dry goods, sauces, oils, vinegars--this store has it. Dont forget to check out the room in the back to the right of the entrance for woks, utensils, bowls, and cookware.

Great Asian market! Located a few blocks from the Strip District for convenience to plenty of other food shopping. Also lots of free parking available. Friendly and helpful staff. Large section of every possible spice seasoning, ingredient both fresh and frozen. Huge selection of fresh seafood too. Will absolutely return.

Theres a small amount of free parking available, but usually Im able to park near even if I cant find a spot in the lot, and its still free for a bit nearby.The selection is nice, particularly on given one wall is mostly fresh produce and the fresh meats are all along the back wall. They cover enough of my (relatively unhealthy) snack cravings and arent outrageously priced.The staff tends to be very friendly. Just expect it to be crowded during weekend hours.This is my go-to-first Asian market, due mostly to selection and parking convenience. Highly recommended.

While it has a decent selection of Chinese goods and foods, theres a better location for Asian products than here. I found it to be a little higher in price and some products had been expired or freezer burnt. Ive visited 2x. Not much of a customer service, which is the norm for Asian grocery stores.

Pay attention to the weight during check out! This morning when I am checking out, the lady at check out desk put a hand on the eggplant, I think she is very careful about my delicate vegetable, and very thankful. After back home, I dont feel like the three small egg plants can be weighted 3.5lb, so I weighted it again. Not even 2 lb, I PAID some extra for that ladys hand, BE careful. BTW, the lady looks like in her fifties, not the young one. I shopped a lot there, and never has such SCAM happened before.

The price is reasonable but I found the store too smelly to go on a regular basis.

Good but limited place to shop Chinese food, one of the best. Good quality with good price. Free parking. People are very friendly and helpful. One stat off due to squeezed space.

They kept making the store better and I like it that they have parking lot for customers. The reason I gave 3 stars because I always got home with expired stuff or damaged. I have to get grocery shopping with my 2 year-old and trying to hurry to get it done quickly. Then I got home with expired snack, months, or broken container. So, make sure you look on the package carefully when you shop here. Avoid Tuesday morning, seemed like all Asian stored have their truck delivery and there are boxes all over store, blocking the way and items.

Customer service is a bit challenging but the selection of imported goods is impressive. You’ll be able to find anything that you need!

Clean grocery store with friendly staff at this place selling all the Asian foods, spices and fresh ingredients any one would need to try out their own Asian cooking!Another big plus is that there is free parking in front of the store.Additional free parking is available at curbsides on both sides of Smallman street.A recent rearrangement of the store has the aisles widened to provide more room and space for shopping carts.Glad to see that the management/owners have listened to their customers suggestions and to then adjust the arrangement to makecustomers happy and keep coming back.

Great selection and cheap meat and produce

This place had amazing produce including dragon fruit. They also had blue crab and live eel. Tons of stuff and customer parking. It does smell like an Asian Market. Consider yourself warned.

This is the best Asian store in Pittsburgh! Great selection and helpful staff. The vegetables are very fresh and the prices are reasonable. If you are looking for hard to find vegan or other ingredients, this is the place to go. Lots of non-GMO soy products.

Good for Asian groceries.

This is my fave Asian grocer; wife is in town from Vietnam, and she seems to think theres something to my notion.They have grown so much in the short time theyve been open, and seem to be doing well. Theyve added another room and put the ceramics and other serving stuff in there, along with more SE Asian and Filipino condiments.

Super friendly staff and a great selection. Most products have an English label to help those unfamiliar with the language of origin. Prices are very reasonable as well.

They recently (Sept 2018) enlarged the store to twice of the original size. There are more choices and better selections of Asian food now. One big plus is the free parking in front of the store, although spaces are limited.

Great selection of soup noodles, frozen foods, but what felt like a more shallow selection of fresh produce and cookware. Did have bonito flake available (& octopus) which were my primary shopping targets. Butcher/fishmongery section appeared solid, but I didnt look in depth.

The selection rivals that of Lotus and WFH. They stock a lot of the standards--dried goods including rice, freezer section, veggies, and sauces. They can probably work on their produce section a bit more--not much in the way of fruits, and vegetable quality can be better. They now have an expanded meats section though. They do carry some snacks and drinks that I havent seen at Lotus though. It seems that this place has more of a southern flair than Lotus or Oriental Market, as I saw a lot of Vietnamese brand stuff here.
