I have been going to Lifetime Automotive and using their services since 2017, not realizing that they have been actively scamming people, women in particular.I took a car in recently and based on the diagnostic they ran, they quoted us approximately $2-4K in repairs. I decided to take it to another mechanic for a second opinion. The second mechanic ran a diagnostic and found that we did not even require the services/replacements Lifetime Automotive was claiming we needed. These people will also mess with your car just to get some extra money out, as evidence was found at the second mechanic. In the end, all repairs cost us just under $800.This is not a reliable nor an honest shop and I do not recommend anyone coming here.
I have been a customer for approximately 5 plus years. Lifetime has been my go to when I needed any service for the three vehicles that I have. My last vehicle was a labor of love for me and Brad and his service staff knew that. We finally got it complete and Im happy to have worked with Lifetime to get it right and road ready. It was difficult to get parts and it had some other issues that they had the patience to work with me to get it repaired. I recommend Lifetime auto to anyone that has or is in need of service. Great shop and great staff.
Always great service. Been going to Brad since I moved here in 2012. We wont take our vehicles anyplace else. Im even driving a car I bought from him last year. 5⭐
Repairs were quick, and theyve fixed everything weve taken to them for much less than expected. Specifically, we had our A/C and heating unit melted together and were told it alone would cost $900. Lifetime Auto did the job, plus oil change, plus lights all replaced for $700. Really appreciate these people.
Having been a customer for years basically sums it up. Dropped our vehicle off at Lifetime Automotive for inspection. Always very professional, prompt and courteous. Thanks to Brad and mechanics, you guys are awesome! Would highly recommend Lifetime Automotive (Squirrel Hill).Jim W.
I did use this business but It didn’t give me the option to write how great they are if I pressed “yes” so I opted to press “no so I could let everyone know how honest, quick and what frat people they are. He took care of me in less than 15 minutes and didn’t over charge me. They’re amazing!!
Great auto shop!!!! Brad is awesome!!! Fair pricing. Very knowledgeable staff. Will have my business forever
Good service nice price i have know Brad for over 10 years i have been dealing with them
Brought my bike in to get inspected. Dropped it off in the morning, picked it up the same afternoon. Great rates and friendly staff.
I bring my bikes here to be inspected, Brad is a super cool dude and super helpful!
I was supposed to 2 change a brakeline. This was AAA service center. Only replaced 1 line charged me 450. Tried to keep my truck when i declined 2 lines for 650. PLEASE CON ARTIST STAY AWAY
Great owner, fair pricing, excellent work on all my vehicles, only place I take my cars to be inspected and repaired. Work done quickly and all work done is explained with an explanation that I can understand. Always calls with pricing and what needs done prior to repaired so no surprise when you pick up your car.
These guys are always great to me. When I went in to get a new muffler, I had duct tape on the side of my car keeping a side panel together (I know, I know - pretty sad looking). These guys put a screw in it for me so I dont have tape it anymore, without me even asking - and no charge. Great crew over there.
This place is the best. Thank you for your service.
I had my battery and belts replaced by Lifetime back in February. They were quick (1-2 days turnaround, although I brought my car in late the first day) and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the battery died a few days ago, but it was still under warranty and they replaced it quickly and free of charge. Thanks for the great service!
Went for a motorcycle inspection. Service was prompt and friendly. The price was great too. One of the only places that will do motorcycle inspections in the Shadyside, Squirrel Hill area. Prior to going there, I had called the place several times for questions. The guy was super helpful, friendly, and never gave me the impression that I was wasting his time (like many other auto-service places do).
I went for my inspection and it was not a good experience. Brad who runs the place will take advantage of your wallet especially if you are a woman. My car is brand new so how much can there be wrong it? If he got nothing he will tell you need your wipers replaced. He is dismissive and comes across as a male chauvinist. Avoid. He failed to inform me that I only had 30 days to return with a new set of tires or I would need to get the process started over. When I returned with new tires he refused to give me the sticker I already paid for. I passed my emission which I got a sticker for and the state sticker he said he would give it to me as long as I came back to see him with the new tires. No deadlines were mentioned. Just new tires. . After all I wasnt asking for brand new stickers when i returned. Just the stickers I paid for and they were valid and legal just like my emission sticker. So now he would only give it to me if I paid for it again. If you dont think my experience counts then read other peoples reviews. Equally bad. We cant all be wrong. if you are looking for a place you can trust and be treated with respect (did I mention he raised his voice) Life Automotive on Forward Ave isnt the shop for you.
Brought my car for inspection and when I got it back It could barely move.I had a bill saying I need mich parts etc before I brought it there the car was ok no noise but when I picked it up I heard something dragging underneath very very disappointed very
I had been their for state inspection and oil change, tire rotation.Seemed to me like dedicated workers. The prices are pretty reasonable aswell. They answered my questions patiently on call prior to visiting the place. They delivered the car on time as promised.
Paid $800+ for a coolant leak in my Chevy Cruze only to have the same problem occur 3 months later. Think they just temporarily fixed the problem without really knowing what the root of the problem was. Not going back.
I have ben dealing with Brad for many years. He took care of my late Mom, also. He is very kind and respectful. When my car needs to be left, one of his workers always drives me home and picks me up when the car is ready. I cant tell you how much I appreciate this and this service, keeps me from finding a way to get back and forth. He is conveniently located to my home, He does his best to see that I am satisfied and I get a good price. On my last birthday, I needed new wipers, and he gave them to me as a gift. He is a really nice guy. With everyday life problems, I know that LIfetime and Brad, will be one less. Thanks for everything, Brad.
Great guys. Very trustworthy, reliable and quick.
Just called to schedule an oil change and was told, “definitely not today.” When I inquired about tomorrow he said it’s first come first serve but we’re busy until the end of the month. Ok? Guess I’ll take my business elsewhere, thanks for being so accommodating !
They are completely incompetent. I took my car there for inspection and to fix the air conditioning. When they finished the car a week later, the air conditioning still didnt work because they forgot to charge it (even though the receipt said that they checked it.) I noticed immediately and took it back, and they fixed it. When I got home the engine light and AT lights came on. It took another week and I had to bring it in THREE MORE times until they fixed their mistakes. They were at least nice enough not to charge me to fix their mistakes. They finally managed to get the lights to stay off, but it still drives funny.A week later the air conditioning didnt work (they werent sure that they truly fixed the AC initially) and I took it back. They didnt even look at it until the 3rd day it was there, and then they actually LOST MY CAR KEYS. They offered to replace them, but its still a tremendous inconvenience.I am never going there again.
Good auto repair and friendly . Bit pricey
Worst service everWanted them to change my tires and do a PA inspection. They came back to me with a serious of bogus repairs that “need” to be done all adding up to $1850. One of them was a required wiper change - but I know the wipers were good because I changed them a month ago.Furthermore they cracked my windshield and didn’t take responsibility.Worst garage ever
This place is going to try and rob you blind. Theyll tell you that theyre buying high quality parts and then charge you an insane amount for them. Major rip off. Dont go here.
Reasonable prices great customer service
Ive gone there twice now to get some routine maintenance work done. They are pretty friendly and pretty honest. I would definitely recommend this place.
I paid over $560 for nothing !!!! RIP OFFRecently I moved to Pittsburgh, from Buffalo, NY. I went to Lifetime Auto Center (5711 Forward Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217) because I live across the street and I had to get my PA inspection sticker, oil change and passenger front tire valve repairs. They took money for oil change and all the other things but didnt DO ANYTHING. Luckily I check the engine oil, and told them to change. This time they did for free. They charged money for the wiper blades but didnt change them either. Even after arguing they claimed that they have changed my wiper blades. The new blades were dusty, I am too frustrated to argue with them. They also claimed that they have replaced my catalytic converter but I doubt. I am positive that they just fixed whatever problem there was (??) but didnt replace with a new one!!!I am driving back and forth from Pittsburgh and Buffalo almost every alternate weekend and never had any issue with my car. They took money for oil change, but they forgot to change oil, $33 for dusty wiper blades, $17 for tire valve!!!! I guess just for the sake of inspection sticker, I had to Pay $560 and they hardly did anything. They are not honest!!!
Just got my radiator replaced due to leaking coolant. Not even 1 mile away, my car immediately started overheating. Coolant and smoke spewing everywhere! Now I have to have it towed back so they can fix their mess. My car is in worse shape now than it was before I brought it in. Hope there is no permanent damage!
Had my car inspected here, all was fine, except a few months later when I discovered that instead of properly re-securing the lug nuts on my wheels, they were cross-threaded with an air impact compressor WAY too tightly and wouldn’t come out. Broke off in the socket and had to have them replaced. More than annoying to eat the cost of their laziness. Additionally, I was unexpectedly without a car for a bit because of this shortcut, which is something no one wants to deal with.I don’t normally leave reviews, but there are plenty of auto shops in the area that don’t cut corners like this (Bellisarios in south Oakland is awesome!), and if you want to support one that doesn’t, this isn’t the place. Eventually they’ll inconvenience enough people with this kind of carelessness that they’ll lose customers.I am one who won’t be back.
Had a broken headlight and just dropped my car off, no appointment, and they were able to fix it in less than 2 hours. The staff is very friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable. I didnt feel ripped off like at some other repair shops. Overall I am very satisfied and will definitely go back for any future needs.
Michael was very polite and fixed my flat tire in a jiffy. I was a walk in and they were super polite and helpful!
I had to put crank sensors in my Cadillac 2002 Cadillac and they did a great job
New to PA. They asked me to come on a certain Friday at 9 am for doing state vehicle inspection . They said to give 2 3 hours and they would call .Went on that day morning and left the car. Didnt get follow up call . When I called at 230 pm, they said theyre running late and they would call me before 5. Never got a call, so I went to collect just after 5. Found out the shop had closed at 5 and I was left without car for the weekend. Luckily I had second set of keys but had to walk long home back again to get it and walk back. Anyway very irresponsible act from them. Fee was overpriced compared to other shops too as I found later. Not going there again neither recommending them to anyone.
I went in last week and told them that my rotors were an issue because the car was shaking when stopping, so these guys quoted me over $1,300 for brake rotors. Parts were quoted at twice what OEM parts cost either online or at an auto parts store, and the labor was over 4 hours. I am an amateur and can replace rotors in less than 4 hours. I obviously declined the service, and was charged $120 just for looking at it. Honestly, this place feels like one of the biggest ripoff shops Ive ever come across.
Dropped my work van off for state inspection and got a call the next morning that it failed inspection because the rear wheel bearing was worn and needed replaced for approximately $500. Since the van is still under powertrain warranty I decided to bring it to the dealer to repair. They had 2 mechanics look at it and they couldnt find anything wrong with any of the wheel bearings. Day Ford didnt even charge me for the diagnosis. Will never go to Lifetime again.
Just called this place to get a price quote for my control arms. The man was very rude didnt want to give me a price quote, making it seem like he is to busy. Will never call them again.
They no longer take appointments and I couldnt get an inspection while I waited like in the past. I guess business had picked up so they cant schedule, but unfortunately I need my car to get to work so I had to go elsewhere this year. (Saturday hours do not help because of Shabbat.)
I was just left stranded at this auto shop!!!!! I have spent thousands of dollars on service here and this is how they repay me!!!!!! I dropped off my car for an estimate only he told me the estimate would be done before closing and that he would call. I show up at exactly one or two minutes before closing to see why he hasnt called and/or whats going on. BRAD IS NOT THERE!!!! THE DOORS ARE LOCKED!!! THIS IS SATURDAY!!! He compromised my second job through lyft not to mention the gross and disgusting disrespect!!!!!! CALFOS HERE I COME!!!!!!
They are willing to work with you. Sometimes the quality of work isnt the best, but at least theyre honest, and that goes a LONG way in the city.
I had a good experience taking my car here for an inspection. The manager was easy to work with and everything was done on time.
Told me my car failed inspection and charged $900. They just try to rip off people who know little about car repairs.
Service took DAYS longer than expected....never got any calls regarding the hold up I had to call them every day to see why the car wasnt ready when they said it would take only 1 day and after all that they were very very expensive...horrible service Ill never go back
Its the worst car service i ever visited
A complete rip off, never gon back there they tried to charge me $500 parts and labor to replace the alternator on my Toyota another shop quoted me $250 to do the same job with a brand new part
Let me have my car towed byy AAA back to home town garage.
Friendly stuff and quick quality service.
They lied to me about the amount of broken studs on my flat wheel. So they charged 122$ for removing just one stud.
