So impressed! Service was excellent; communication was great and I could tell from my time in the waiting room that this business is a great neighbor to the community. Employees could not have been nicer. I definitely recommend!

They take reservations for appointments and when you show up they say they cant accommodate.In the words of Seinfeld You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just dont know how to *hold* the reservation. And thats really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them.

Today I walked in for tire rotations. The service was great. All the workers there are very kind and respectful. I will definitely be going back whenever I need an inspection or something fixed!

I’ve been going to this location since they opened. For inspections and any other issue I may have. Thru the years the service has greatly declined. Last year I got two new tires on my car at this location. The next day, all my dashboard lights are on. So I go back. They tell me I had to take it back to the dealership to and have them run tests cause somethings wrong with the electronics of the car. So I take my car to Nissan, they don’t even have to do a test and realize the wrong tires were put on. So after Nissan gave me a letter to say the exact issue, I went back to NTB, showed them the paper and they fixed it. Accidents happen, I wasn’t too mad or worried. It got fixed. I was happy… Then about a month ago my girlfriend needed her car inspected, I tell her go to this place, they are great. So she schedules the inspection on their website. She got a call saying the guy won’t be there and to reschedule. Told her to do it online again. So she did…. They call back again saying that time won’t work…. Now I get it. Things change. But if you’re going to have an online service, you gotta make it work or put it out of order. And i work with companies and their websites, it is very easy to adjust anything on your page. So after scheduling for a 3rd time. We take the car in. She was scheduled at 9am. We showed up at 830am. Drop off the car and leave. Come 3:40 they STILL haven’t looked at the car. They say there is only one inspector. That must suck but, that is completely irrelevant to the customer. We MADE AN APPOINTMENT which is supposed to help organize an issue like this. Why schedule it for 9 and come 340 the car still isn’t looked at?!? It’s absurd. And because of lack of communication on this business, if something came up or if there is a certain way they do things, we were never told about them so when I’m told “you’re appointment is at 9am” I expect my car to be at least in and being looked at by 10. It’s not hard to book appointments, then stick to them. It’s a process many companies have done for years… needless to say this location, and the whole company has lost my loyal service of years, I will also stop recommending people to go there. I’m work hand in hand with Bloomfield/Garfield Corp and I’ll be sure to mention that this place has a lack of respect for people’s time… when we told them we needed the car by 5pm…. 8 hours later… he said “if it’s not done, you can just pick it up”. Clearly they don’t care about the customer or the business and I hope many people read this before wasting their time like I did.

I went here a year ago wasn’t planning on coming there but my fiancée was driving got spooked by a semi truck she turned and hit curb. Pulled into NTB an Nico S. Assisted me n got me on my way in hurry end up buying two tires but we’ll worth it from the customer service the care n friendliness that Nico presented. Great guy if you are ever there ask for Nico

Usually I have great service here. Get in and out quickly. Had an appointment to have my car inspected this morning and went in only to be told I could pick it up later...um sir I live by myself, this is my car, where do you think I’m going for the entire day while you waste time not inspecting my car?I think I usually see Nico out front and he’s always super helpful. The guy there today didn’t come out from the back for almost 10 minutes and then had a complete douche attitude to top it off. Like, how dare I be upset that you want to hold on to my car for the entire day for something that should take less than 2 hours.

They can’t do inspections. Every time I call to schedule it’s a different excuse. “He’s on vacation this week”, “the inspector doesn’t have his paperwork yet, but should be any day now” (this went on for weeks), etc etc.I think Nico does a great job. I use them for tires and some other things, but it’s very frustrating that a large national corporation can’t do required statewide inspections.

Had some issues with scheduling due to staffing issues, but they did make sure to compensate me with a reasonable discount for my troubles. Nonetheless, I imagine most people would require less uncertain scheduling.

4 appointments scheduled in December to swap tires on my vehicle failed. Dropped the car off twice to only be told it couldnt be done within a 9 hour window. They simply closed down for over a week with no explanation. No phones answered. Returned again today only to use my credit and put the summer wheels back on to only be turned away yet again for a scheduled appointment. Drop off was at 9am and told not that it would be later, but that it just couldnt be done at all today. This place is insane. Appointments are useless. Scheduling a drop off is useless. Maybe someday theyll hire more than one person and a competent manager to actually get stuff done within a work day for someone.

They will cancel appointments for cheap services like oil changes.

I had a little tire shake on my truck so I decided to head to this NTB on Penn. They were busy so I was there about 2 hours. I asked them to balance, set air pressure in my tires and reset the tire light. When they finished I went up to pay for it and they told me it was no charge. I didnt understand why but the guy told me not to worry about it so long as I would come back to buy tires from them. I took my keys and got in my truck. When I got in the tire light was still on. As I drove the truck I knew they didnt know what they were doing. The tires were easily 5 times worse than when I brought it in. I didnt drive the truck for days cause it was so bad. Well yesterday I took the truck into my work and pulled the front wheels off to find 26.5 oz of weight on the left front wheel alone. I spin balanced with all that weight and it came up 7oz off. I removed all that weight and spun again. The wheel took 1.75 oz on the outside and .75 oz on the inside. The other front wheel had similar results but not quite as extreme. The tires had 25-30 psi in all 4 so I also had to set psi to 35 and then reset my tire light... This place is a joke and I will never return. My suggestion is that you stay away from these guys. Go anywhere else but here!

Ever Since Chuck and his team left there .the place had been terrible. I am good customer of this place but no more.I can’t believe that I had to be denied service of just helping to unscrew the tyre bolts cos It’s machine torqued when I got a flat tyre.I was only trying to change to a spare tyre so I don’t get stucked and the manager can’t even do It despite being the only one on duty. He doesn’t even fit to be a manager If he can’t even use a machine to untorque a screw eveb when I had emergencies.Trash NTB Penn Avenue .

Made a reservation online for a state inspection. Took my car there today and they said they couldn’t get it inspected for two weeks. Frustrating when it said specifically when I booked the reservation that someone would call me if someone wouldn’t be present to do my inspection.Would definitely not recommend this place. Doesn’t seem like it’s run well at all.

This is actually the first time that I used NTB for tires but it wont be the last. I had to go out of town on August 27th. At the last minute I realized that I needed to have my tires replaced. Around 3:30pm on the 26th I called the store and was told to come in as soon as I could. By 5:00pm I had the 4 tires replaced and was out the door. They went above and beyond to help me and I was able to make my trip safely the next day. I wanted to say that the staff is very professional.

I have been an NTB customer for almost 8 years now and I always frequented the store in the north hills because Brandon the one manager was always prompt and professional but with him no longer there Due to unknown circumstances and the east liberty store being closer to home I now go there. And let me tell you I have nothing but good things to say. The one gentlemen who works the desk and phones I believe his name is nico-he always provides me with nothing but the best service and tires when I am in need. He always goes out of his way to get my vehicles in the shop and serviced promptly. He always always always makes sure that am I happy with the services and has even followed up to make sure I am still happy a few days after work was performed. The manager I believe his name is chuck- he is also very service oriented And makes sure I am being taken care of. Hats off to ntb in east liberty they have a customer in me as long chuck and nico are there.

I really like to give them a review but I cant. A week and a half ago I made an on line appointment, took the day off to fit there time. When I arrived they had my appointment. I was told they had to catch up on work left from the night before and they were short handed. He said it would be 50 minuets till they could take my car in. As he looked further at my appointment, he said it would be October 16 before he could get me in. They just didnt want to do an oil change. So when I got home I had my wife call and ask if they could put 4 new tire on her car. They said bring it down there was no waiting. I will never set foot in a NTB again.

I recommend NTB to anyone and everyone. Weeks after moving to Pittsburgh, I got a nail in my tire and (having not driven in 4+ years coming from Philadelphia) drove on it longer than I should have before noticing. Despite my zero-car knowledge, the NTB team was honest and transparent with me. Initially it appeared the tire needed to be replaced completely, but when they went to change the tire saw that the original one could be salvaged. They plugged the original, and then helped me return the new tire I had shipped to their shop (since it wasnt one they stocked) and saved me $150+. This team is honest, reliable, and incredibly helpful. I will be back to NTB for all of my car needs!

Chuck took great care of me. I needed new tires but wanted an aggressive looking tread for my 4Runner.Found these Cooper Discoverer RTX online for buy three and get one free. They also included a $70 mail in rebate. After this rebate comes in the total out the door price will be like $463.This includes an extra $20 I spent for a lifetime balance warranty.To get this style of tire anywhere else it was pushing $800 or $900 bucks.My old tires were unsafe. I had them for a long time and they wore fine, but they needed replaced. My vehicle almost got away from me during a hard downpour with my daughter in the car. At that moment, I knew my old tires had to go.They were pretty worn out and extremely out of balance. My steering wheel would shake violently once I hit 60 mph.This is the downside to purchasing from Tire Rack (where my previous tires were purchased from). Im not sure an installer will give you the option for lifetime tire rotation and balancing.Lesson learned.Alignment, tire rotation, and tire balancing are all super important. Especially with these crappy PA roads.I highly recommend their 5 year alignment package too. Best $200 I have ever spent. I have only had it for a year and have already had 4 alignments with no issues or questions asked.

I visited this location with brake issues. They assessed my vehicle, and quoted an exorbitant amount for their suggested “full brake overhaul,” but I decided it was the convenient option and a inflated charge was to be expected with an auto repair/service chain in the city. They completed the service as agreed upon, I paid in full and was on my way. Five days after they replaced my brakes, I was driving home from work and completely lost braking power. Pedal to the floor, no resistance. I went to the nearest auto mechanic in fear of causing an accident. They informed me the caliper was ruined, and a loose bolt caused a leak resulting in the failure. I was forced to get it fixed so I could get back on the road safely. The mechanic provided a receipt so I could pursue a refund from NTB. After a failed reimbursement via emailing NTB customer service, I visited the original location to request a refund through their guaranteed warranty. The manager Charles Jackson condescendingly told me I should have contacted them first when my brakes failed, and there was nothing they could do. After attempting to explain that I wasn’t aware that was required, he then accused me of falsifying the other mechanic’s receipt. I am incredibly disappointed with my experience, and would highly encourage anyone reading this to consider an alternative. I personally will not be using NTB for any new services.

Cory and Justin were absolutely amazing!!!! My daughter was stranded with a flat tire and had no way to fix it on her own, they gave us honest opinions of what could be done and offered the best solution to us!!! And on top of the great service, Cory provided all of the Stores contact information in case she had any other issues, true customer service!!! They deserve a pat on the back!!!

Today i needed my tire repaired due to a slow leak. I had made an appointment over a week out for the 31st but somehow ntb did not know what services i required based off a web appointment even though i specified my request through the online booking process. They informed me of this via voicemail so upon returning the call i was told that all tire services are first come first serve (strange considering it was specified via check box during booking proceedure) and that i would be waiting 3+ hours IF that is what i needed.I have had 4 tires replaced by ntb in the past, but the catch was that i didnt wait in person. I specifically planned to block off some of my schedule a week+ in advance because i have no option to just drop off the vehicle. The sound of not knowing how long it would take to accommodate an appointment compared to just someone walking in with the same issue is unacceptable. A business shouldnt offer appointments only to not operate by them.One of the things noted from the voicemail was that 2 people called off, and started to imply that they wanted me to come in earlier. Unfortunately a lack of employees isnt my problem. I also could not understand why coming in earlier would make any difference, mainly when i couldnt book the appointment any earlier to begin with.Overall a pretty confusing experience. I feel like i shouldnt have to call to confirm an already booked appointment and specify what service i need when i clearly described the issue via online booking process. and i know for a fact i shouldnt need to wait more than 60-120 minutes+ for a flat repair when professionals are doing the service especially considering i booked a week and a half in advance.

My experience with this store went far beyond bad customer service, without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had with any store in my entire life.Summary: I made an appointment for new tires at this location, showed up on time, was told they dont take appointments for tires, and when I called customer service for assistance an employee threatened to call the police if I didnt leave the property.I made an appointment online for winter tires but when I showed up for my appointment I was told that appointments are not honored at this location, so I called customer service. The rep told me that the location was required to honor appointments for tire services and they called that location and confirmed with an employee that my appointment would be honored.When I returned and requested that my appointment be honored, an employee stated t​hat tire service is first-come-first-serve, and that I would be at the end of the 5 hour line.I called customer service back from the lobby and explained the situation, turning my back to the employees and other customers and facing a window while on the phone. While I was mid-conversation with customer service the employee demanded I leave the property immediately or else he would call the police. He made the same threat to two other people, one of whom was a customer who had just walked in the door.I was on the phone with customer service during this incident, and they contacted the store to ask why they were threatening police action. The employee apparently claimed I was harassing customers, but I was actively on the phone with customer service the entire time so the customer service rep turned things over to a supervisor who contacted the regional manager.I consider a threat of police coming to arrest me as a threat against my body, my property, and my employment. From my perspective an employee at this store lied to justify having me arrested for calling customer service.This place is not worth the risk or the wasted time, just make an appointment at literally any other business in Pittsburgh.

The staff was nice and very helpful and didnt try to get me to spend more money by saying things were wrong and needed fixed right away. He just informed me that Ill need 2 tires before Christmas. 👍

Friendly, helpful place to get a oil change.Never rotated the tires on the car, but they did state it on the statement.Before getting the statement a I did ask why didnt you change rotate the tires, he stated that a lot of new car usually never needs rotated.

Took our family car in the spring for new brakes. Had to take it back multiple times because of how bad they sounded after brake change. Chuck was great, I would give him 5-stars all around. Kind, courteous, seemed to care about fixing what was going on.Made an online appointment for this morning at 9:30 to get the same brakes checked out. Show up 15 minutes early. Told there are 6 cars ahead of me, Are you sure you want to just wait? Well we tried to call you this morning I checked my online account from where I made the reservation - correct phone number for my wife and I, neither of us received a call. Lesson learned, dont bother making an appointment, they wont stick to it. Try to find the days when Chuck is working, otherwise, you get to deal with Coreys incompetence. Better off just staying local.

I received very fast, friendly, and professional service when I brought my flat tire in to be repaired. It took almost no time to repair my tire and place it back on my car. Corey was very friendly and gave me exceptional customer service.

It seems many complaints I’m reading about at this location are being made by very entitled people who have never worked a day of retail or service in their life. Sometimes you have to wait - it’s called delayed gratification and you won’t expire from the experience. Sometimes things don’t run as smoothly as planned and there’s confusion - again, it’s part of being an adult to be able to manage your behavior and communication. I just want to say thanks to the hard working employees at this store who go above and beyond every day.

Corey was great. He obviously knows the value of good service. I was able to bring in a tire on the wheel for a quick replacement and it only took about 20 minutes. He didnt try to sell me any extras and even gave me good insight when I asked about specials on buying a set of tires. Ill be going back when its time to replace the others (which is very soon)

So unhappy. I got a nail in my back two tires. NTB said they could not repair the tires because they were so low. I bought new tires from NTB only 2 years prior and only had 15,000 miles on the tires. They were already worn out. I got the tires rotated. NTB said, we dont even sell those tires anymore. They didnt honor their warranty and started quoting me prices for 4 new tires. Told me I had to contact the tire company to get the warranty. There is no way tires should be worn after only 15,000 miles and that the store that sold such tires shouldnt honor their warranty. I told them to give me my car and went to Mr. Tire in Monroeville and was well pleased with the service. It wasnt just this NTB location but the one in Monroeville NTB too. Bad customer service. GO TO MR TIRE INSTEAD!

Ive been here before and had no hesitation coming back. I thought I had a slow leak in my tire, but these guys quickly showed me I had a bent wheel instead. I was referred to another business that will have my wheel repaired for less than the cost of a new one.

I went in to NTB not really knowing what was wrong with my car but Corey was AWESOME and was able to explain what was probably wrong with it. Definitely recommend going to Corey for your tire issues.

Chuck and the team at Penn Ave NTB have been taking care of my Hyundai Sonata for a couple years since they opened. He has always been timely and professional with service, and answers my questions with what he would do with his own vehicle. I have never felt ripped off for any service provided because he lays out exactly what is being charged and why, as well as letting me know about seasonal deals. Due to a scheduling error, MY appointment was not registered in the stores calendar, but Chuck quickly remedied this and took me in that same day, as well as heavily discounting the service. Truly the best mechanics and business you can find.

I went in December for an oil change and one of the workers told me that I had a piece of plastic in one of my tires and needed a replacement. He told me it was unable to be patched. The piece of plastic was in between the tread of my tires. It was smaller than a piece of plastic. I mentioned that I wanted to check my options and the man became irritated. The next day, my tire was completely flat. I called NTB back and talked to the store manager, telling him what had happened. He told me well, if you knew basic science, you would know that it gets hot and cold; Well honey, looks like you need a new tire like my guy suggested. It was EXTREMELY unprofessional and condescending and I DEFINITELY wont be going back.

I went in to get a tire balanced. The manager informed me that they looked at my tires and I should get 4 new ones instead of getting one of them balanced. If he had actually looked at the tires he would have known that two of them were brand new and did not need to be replaced. Untrustworthy.
