My boyfriend and I definitely found a gem when we accidentally stumbled on this place after looking on the map for a place to eat on a bike ride through the city. This place was awesome! It was our first time here and everything exceeded my expectations. The waitress was attentive, service was quick, and our food was delicious and served hot. The menu is large, has very unique and funny names for the food, but best of all there are choices for any palate. The decor is interesting and the atmosphere is laid back and fun. I felt the prices were reasonable for the portions you get and the quality of the food. They also have a very large menu for those who like to have an alcoholic beverage as well. I ordered the meatloaf dinner, vegetable of the day, and sweet potato fries. Meatloaf was delicious, vegetables were very flavorful and seasoned well, and the sweet potato fries were crispy, fresh, and hot. I would definitely recommend trying this place out and we will be back!!

Went here for the first time and it was great. I would recommend this place to everyone. The food was great the service was great. Great selection of beer. And the prices are fair. This place is just great.

Very good food, great atmosphere, friendly attentive service, food came out quickly, and prices are decent. There are a fairly wide range of food options to choose from.The mussels are fantastic, a little spicy and a great flavor to the beer/butter sauce. The BBQ bacon sandwich got two thumbs up from my daughter. The fry mix was tasty and unique. Even the coffee was good. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is the black bean and quinoa burger wasn’t as flavorful as advertised. It was just ok. All in all, we’ll definitely be back!

I went to this place to eat while my wife was resting from having a baby at Magee hospital. What an amazing treat this was. I never heard of this place and found a gem. I was just walking the mean streets of Oakland, home of the Pitt Panthers and I ran into this place and decided to check it out. I decor in the place was fabulous for a gastro pub. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in and sat at the bar. I told the bartender I have never been there before and immediately started throwing suggestions out to me. I ultimately went with the pepperoni rolls as an appetizer and the ahi tuna wrap for my main dish. The pepperoni rolls were a highlight for me as they were delicious. But then I got to the ahi tuna wrap which had so much flavor and a hint of a tropical feeling to it. All of the workers there were very nice and it was a great environment to be in. I will definitely be visiting this place again when I am back in Oakland.

Me and hubs and daughter went for dinner last night. It was my first time there. Very close to everything. I had the pulled pork sandwhich that came with bacon and cheddar and sweet potato and regular fries. Hubs had the chorizo sausage and my daughter had a cheeseburger. Food was made to order which I really liked and they make it right there where you can see which is a major bonus. Everything was really good even the drinks. Not bad on pricing either

We stopped in to have a couple beers but decided to try their pierogies as well. They were delicious! The server was very kind as well. Well definitely come back for dinner or lunch in the near future.

No wait on a Wednesday afternoon but I sat at the bar anyway. I ordered the baked brie for an appetizer and it came with a honey drizzle. It was unique and delicious. I ordered the aporkalypse chorizo burger which came with bacon and a fried egg on it. This also hit the spot. I havent seen a chorizo burger on a menu before but it was great. I ordered the sweet potato bread pudding to go as I love both sweet potatoes and bread pudding. That too was delicious. The place isnt that big and has mainstream dive bar vibe to it. Looks like a place for beer connoisseurs.

I ordered the sierra chicken salad to go. It was ready quickly, with friendly service. The salad was really good, it was a mix of different lettuces, and the chicken was amazing. I look forward to trying other menu items here.

Efficient, friendly service. Had the brick oven pizza. Ive eaten brick oven pizza at some of the best places in NYC, NJ and Philly and this place held their own. This crust is more on the lighter pastry side. So you dont get that crisp bite. Nice touch with a little dusting of corn meal. Because the crust is on the softer side you have to use the fold technique. The lighter crust allows you to eat 2 of these pizzas. Believe me, youll want two.

I had some of the best wings Ive had in years. Great food and fast, friendly service. Prices were decent and the restaurant had a cool, funky vibe with nice outdoor seating.

The beer selection is tops. Apparently they have an excellent whiskey selection, but I didnt partake. I came wanting the alligator stew and its no longer on the menu! The sidewalk seating is clinch on a nice day. Solid 4.8, but not 5.0.

My wifes pizza was burned around the edges. Both burgers ordered medium doneness came out medium well or well done. Ordered 3 items and none were made correctly. Being in a hurry we didnt have time to complain considering it was very busy. The place was also very loud. In the hour we spent there we heard at least 3 different breaking of glass/dropped dishes. The server and service are fine but the kitchen needs to step it up.

The owner scolded us for having IDs which were very clearly fake. 3 members of our party were very legitimately 22 years old. 1 member turns 22 in 2 days, and the last was very legitimately 21 years old. After very rudely arguing with us and refusing other forms of ID, he claimed that the raised text on some of our licenses was a dead giveaway and kicked us out. Good luck running a bar in a college town if you kick out legally drinking customers.

Ordered the build your own burger with the veggie burger, jalapenos and had a good bite. My wife order the same with some different items, we bother thought the bun was too big. Took away from enjoying the full flavor of the burger. Friend enjoyed the meatloaf, but said it wasnt as good as his own, thought the gravy was a bit thick. Service was a big reason for the 3 stars. I get it, its tough right now to get good folks. Forgot friends side salad, didnt have the mushrooms on my wifes burger and the kids had to wait for their food once we got ours served.

The steak salad was good but it wasnt worth $15. I ordered my salad to go and they forgot to put cheese on it. Also it had 3 strips of steak, hardly worth $15. Customer service was poor and not very helpful at all.

This place has a decent range of menu options and lunch on a Saturday came out very fast! Wings were good along with the pizza and burgers.

After Stackd, Fuel and Fuddle is my second place for late night on Forbes Ave. Ive had their grilled psychedelic sandwich, which was decent, but my favorite is the smashed potato pizza! Highly recommend that.

Pizza crust not very crisp like a soft garlic bread, fries limp and only like warm at best, not fresh. Received too quickly.

Had a good experience, Friday evening, was busy, with the limited seating, but still got seated within 15 min. Food came out fast and hot. Everything was tasty, the veggies of the day were not overcooked. Shrimp on the surf and turf very flavorful. And nice selection of beers.

You can go here with any group and someone will find something they like. The staff are young and funny and super nice. Hit up the $2 Yengling deal on sundays for some drinks and good food! The outdoor seating that has been added is also a great experience.

I found it to be nothing special. My burger consisted of more bun than meat. Our server never asked if we wanted refills or another beer because he was too busy talking to co-workers near the bar area.I will not be returning....FAR better options in and out of the city.

Amazing pizza

We arrived an hour before closing. We were seated without issue, and received very good service. Good beer, innovative menu items. Unfortunately, the oven may have been over temp, since all the food had burnt crust. The kitchen is open and unfortunately not too clean. Still, a fun place.

A delicious frill-free menu of bar favorites with great twists to them. The smashed potato pizza with chicken is my go to, but a roll a fatty appetizer is a must try too. You cant go wrong on food here. Draft beers are fantastic and a great selection of choices. If you are in Oakland or near Pitt you must try it

Fuel and Fuddle has a great atmosphere with a great cooking staff! The food here is so tasty you will be coming back for more. The menu offers sandwiches, wings, salads, pizza, and much more! I recommend giving the pizza a shot, you dont regret it!! I met the manager and she is very hard-working and dedicated to this restaurant. The associates that work here keep busy and are all pretty friendly. Hands off to the cooks. They sure know what they are doing here. Give this place a try if you havent already!!
