Absolutely fantastic facility. My son had two outstanding lessons. Everyone working there is friendly and helpful. If you live in Pittsburgh or are visiting and into biking, this is a MUST SEE PLACE! Well definitely be back.
Indoor bicycle park. Theres stuf for BMX and mountain biking. Good for beginners, novice and expert! No suitable bike? You can rent one!
The jumps need to be bigger and less steep but it was very enjoyable.
The bike repair department is awesome. Chris is knowledgeable and great to work with. Im never taking my bike anywhere else.
Very nice place, lots of ramps! my kiddos had fun! cheap price as well!
Great bike park, friendly staff. A day at The Wheel Mill is always a great day!
Affordable, creative fun place for adults and kids whom like to bike. restrooms, changing rooms, lockers, free parking along street and around the block, light snacks and beverages, many different routes and indoor bike trails. bring a friend or your kids to practice skills year round. Lots of other kids to learn from and watch too. *helmets required and they have safety pads + bikes for rent. Neat place for birthday parties!
If you like to ride a mountain bike and want a different experience this is the place for you. Its a great place to come when the weather in conditions are not suited for cycling. Everyone from your beginner to your expert cyclist can find something here that you will enjoy.
If you know what you are doing it is the most fun you will ever have. And if you arent as good there is parts for every one.
Totally worth checking out! Accommodates all types of platforms, has a great selection of parts and service in the pro shop! Great build, Ive ridden BMX for 22 years and this place makes me feel like Im riding dirt jump and rhythm in the wood! Awsome set up!
Was very impressed with the staff, the people were absolutely wonderful.
You know its a serious bike park when the clerk has got his arm in a sling from what I guess is a biking injury. It worried me since I have a young kid that just starting riding but he loved it. The fundamentals area is great for beginners and the park is huge. I feel like my kid could go here for the next 10+ years and still have something to do and practice on.
My grandson loves it here.
Fun place allitle something for everybody. Not amazing for full fs but what did you expect? Best to ride BMW or dirt jumper, but still enough stuff for a beginner full fs like skinnys and such.
Fun place, good jumps, really quick transitions might be hard for beginner rider. place is super slipper, pump track is harsh and is easy for young kid to crash when it hit 6:30 the heat go off and get cold as balls fast, but is is fun and small place, but during the covid no water allow in the park my friend stared to pass out for lack of water
Awesome gem in the burgh!
Great place to petal around. They have a beginner room upstairs, a pump track, mtb area, and a lot of bmx stuff. Cold inside (about 50 degrees) which is perfect to ride in and beat the winter chill.
Great place! Plenty of different levels so you can progress your riding. New bike shop is stocked with quality parts!
This place is great I cannot say enough good things about it
Stopped in there to see what it was about
It is certainly something you should do if you enjoy biking, its in my opinion similar to a skate park indoors. It was not my thing but im sure you will enjoy it if you go!
Pghs number 1 indoor bike park
What a place!! Took my son there yesterday for his birthday!! He absolutely loved it!! Had to rent him a bike after derailleur got stuck in his spokes🥺!! Rental was reasonable and bike was a solid steed!! He was really impressed by the other people there and what they were doing. The pump track was his favorite and he literally rode it till he couldn’t pedal anymore!! Awesome place for riders of all skill levels. Take it easy or let it hang out!! Dad had a lot of fun too. Definitely going back. Gonna be a great option for winter activity in The Burg!!! Thank you for providing an excellent play ground!!!
Lots of fun, but definitely more for older kids, probably around 7+ depending on biking ability. We went with a friend who brought a 2 and 3 year old. All the kids playing were very polite and considerate, but there isnt an area for toddlers or kids just learning to bike. All things considered, we were welcomed and tolerated much more than I expected, and the kids had a great time which is all you can ask for.
Awesome place to ride out of the elements
Amazing place to take the kids!!! Friendly staff!! Excellent environment! Excellent jumps!!
This is a hidden gem in the Pittsburgh area. The staff is super helpful and friendly. You can bring your own bike, safety gear and water. There are lockers in the facility to put your belongings (bring your own lock). The space is really open with lots of skill levels and tracks for different preferences. I have 3 kids with 3 different skill levels and there was something for everyone. I have to say the staff was one of the highlights of this facility as well. They are very warm and welcoming no matter what the skill level of the rider, from the smallest kiddo on the toddle bike to the regulars that come in all the time, everyone was treated well. Weve been twice since we discovered it. Worth the trip & worth the money!
Amazing facility, super friendly staff, nice rentals. Highly recommend!
Awesome its awesome to have an in door riding park. As a active member of Union local # 3 Thank You Wheel Mill and Pittsburgh!!!!
Awesome 10/10 will do again just drops are sketchy kinda and bring a bmx their more versatile their
My son recently had a Learn to Ride lesson with Matt. Has been a bit of a struggle teaching my son to ride, as more time past the more we avoided. We both were becoming discouraged at the process. Matt was absolutely amazing, very patient and included some interesting learning techniques which really worked. By the end of the lesson, my son doing laps around the training room. We both were almost in tears. The next day, my son was still thrilled at his experience and new-found confidence in biking. A sincere thank you.Did not get to use the rest of the facility, but from appearances is amazing. Huge complex including indoor mountain bike tracks and skate/bike ramps. Staff was very professional with a great website/scheduling application.Five stars, definitely recommend the Wheel Mill.
This place was a blast!!! Tons of features and jumps to keep me interested and having fun. All the riders were super friendly and the vibe at the mill was chill. If you are looking for a winter riding spot, look no further than the wheel mill.
Great bike park. Parking is iffy, not many spots available. Trails for all riders of different skill levels. A great place to learn to ride features and learn tricks.
The Wheel Mill exceeded my expectations! Excellent costumer service, and my rental was a sweet specialized P3. They had new hubs in them and made a cool sound! The features in the park were perfectly designed! And the jumps were very smooth! Ill be coming here every time I visit Pittsburgh! I wish they had one in Orlando!
Great place to ride but definitely needs to change things up. Same thing over and over and over and over......and over!! They raised pricing so lets hope some is used to make some much needed upgrades
This is the most impressive indoor facility in Pittsburgh. The Wheel Mills creators as well as the people who run it are very passionate and dedicated to making this place an awesome place to ride. I love how open and welcome they are to anyone, any age, any skill level. Everyone is really cool. Its great to see how locals progress. Talent is forged through the youth, creating warriors at their own craft.
This place is sweet, not as big as rays but, has something for everyone. From strider courses to technical tracks and big jumps. The timed pumptrack is great for seeing progression in skill/speed.
My 5 year old grandson begged me to go see him there as he races BMX and cant use outdoors so glad I did. This place is amazing for all. Thanks so much for thinking of riders to make this happen.
This is a great place. We were intimidated at first, but we appreciated all the opportunities to build up skills as youre working your way through the building. By the end we were having a blast. I can see why someone would want a monthly membership. You can tell a lot of work has gone into this business and into creating a unique experience. We will be coming back!
Great place, friendly staff. Fun for all ages and a real asset to the cycling community. Very lucky to have the Wheel Mill in Pittsburgh. Thanks to my sessions here I have become a safer and more technical rider out on the trails. Highly recommend you stop in to check it out. Bring a bike or rent one.
I only looked inside. It looks very fun
Brah! This place will make you stoked!!!Its awesome that we have a place like this in the city! Great venue, helpful staff. If your into bikes at all its a Definite place to check out
Were so happy The Wheel Mill is balance-bike friendly. Its great to have a place to work on my skills while our 3 year old is working on his. This place is even fun for the grandparents who tag along just to watch.
Indoor bike park. Need I say more?
We had a birthday party here recently and they did a fabulous job! The instructor we had was patient and helpful. The staff all did a great job and made it easy for us. Most importantly, the kids all had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!
Amazing cozy space. Staff was really nice. I didn’t expect it in a little warehouse
5 star awesome place hurt my ankle in the FOAM PIT OF ALL PLACES LMAO gettin well and returning asap
Fantastic indoor bike park with a great support team. Cant recommend enough for all skill levels and ages.
Super fun place, friendly staff.
An awesome place that has dialed ramps and a great atmosphere, should go again.
I cant say there is a better place in Pennsylvania to bike all season long! Everything is so much fun and Ill be returning for years to come!
The mask police lady and the whole online check in as terrible
Kids had a fantastic time. Cons- the paperwork took way too long (we did fill out waiver ahead but there is about 15-20 min of check in to do which could be pared down). More could be done online ahead of time. They did not give my drivers license back to me when we returned our equip! We live out of town so had to have a friend get it. When I called, they said that you have to remember to ask. Really? They dont look too busy at the desk..can they remember to give it to you? They need a big sign when you exit or they need to give it back to you! Staff is ok-not super friendly.
This place is an amazing way for BMX and Dirt Jumper riders to go and shred in the winter
Righteous winter waves🤙
Great place for kids and adults. Very friendly atmosphere
Always a good place to ride when the weather in Pittsburgh gets ugly. My group is more of a cross country mountain bike crew, but we find enough runs here to make it fun once in a while. Its definitely geared more towards smaller BMX bikes, but fun can be had by mountain bikers once in a while. They do well with their relatively small building size. Pittsburgh is lucky to have the Wheelmill.
Purchased a bike thank you guys for being flexible on timing and responding quick. Five star review no cap
Took my son(8) for the first time. Had a blast, and cant wait to go back.
Great place to take the kids. Everything from toddler on striders to the pro courses
Always a great experience.
Doing crazy bike courses. Not for the light of heart but for a true adventurer. The culture is interesting and everyone wants to have a good time.
This was our first time here. The release is pretty involved, but necessary. There are many different skill levels from beginners on balance bikes to the guys doing backflips! We rented a bike and a helmet for our 10 yr old.The staff gives you the info on what is where and off you go. There are a few loung areas toHang out or take a break.
Great bike park for our beginner outing. A fun mix of kids and grownups. Watch the trick jump park from the overlook seating!
This place is incredible! The venue is HUGE and the atmosphere is fun in an old, classic Pittsburgh building. The owners really scored on this place. The neighborhood is pretty sketchy, but definitely worth the trip. There are so many things to do and for so many different levels for riders. Pittsburgh really needed a place like this. The city just got way cooler due to this place. Get your kids a season pass there or visit if youre passing through. Parents can hang out and its great fun for kiddos. Every city needs a Wheel Mill.
Two years in a row of successful birthday parties for my son. All the kids love this place! My favorite spot there: the lounge
So grateful that this place exists.
This place is one if a kind and we are lucky to have it in Pittsburgh. Its like a bike centric community center with classes, events and family friendly activity.
It was my first time at the Mill. This is got to be a good go to place for anybody who loves biking, BMX, and skateboarding. It also has a handicap wheelchair friendly accessibility as well. So you can actually practice jumps in wheelchairs. The hands style wheelchairs of course. There are so many different types of places to jump and different courses to test your abilities and have fun. You can actually order Pizza Parma Pizza here as well while you are doing your thing with your bike.Theres also this great area that has plenty of tables and would be a great room to rent out. Extremely rustic-style. A lot of wooden furniture and tables here make it a great picnic type scene that can be done indoors course. Would be a great great place to have a birthday party or an event. They also do lessons here for bikes $70 an hour. And you can rent a bike or bring your own. You can also rent helmets. They also have a bike shop theyre so that you can get things that you need.To rent everything is a little pricey in my book. Thats the only downfall. So you may want to bring your own bike and helmet.
So much fun! My wife and I have gone a few times while visiting family in Pittsburgh. We take mountain bikes and fat bikes. There is a lot to challenge all levels of riders! I love the skinnies over the foam pit!
Very fun place
Such a cool place. Def must visit.
If you ride mtb, bmx, or have a kid learning to ride this is a great place. Very unique park with so many different courses, customer service is great, and there is even bike rentals+some basic tools to maintain your bike
Super place! Great staff. A lot of fun!
Awesome place for bike riding for most skill levels. Helpful staff. Great one on one help and classes available
Great place with great people we’re lucky to have it here in Pittsburgh!
