What a wonderful sensory experience when entering into this world of chocolate! They offer a wide assortment of all sorts of chocolates from around the globe. Its a fun place to shop and purchase a new find. Stepping into this shop reminded me a visiting the chocolate library at Selfridges Department store in London, England a few years ago.

Absolutely incredible selection of chocolate bars. A lot of direct trade, slave-free brands are sold here in a lot of different flavors. The Mission Chocolate bars are all excellent, Fossa has exotic flavors, they even had the giant Omnom caramel crunch bars! If you like craft chocolate, this is the store for you. The bars are more expensive than Hersheys because many of the brands pay their partner farms and employees a living wage and source from slave-free cocoa farms. A cute store and it seems like the woman who runs it knows her stuff!

Great quality shop and wide choice of chocolate. However one member of staff does not greet at entrance (instead asks “can I help you buy something”). And insists on not saying hello nor good morning.Some people may like that, I find it rude. Made me in a bad mood.In the future I will order that chocolate brand online rather than buying there. That will save my time and energy.

I have been here many times and I want to love it, but the staff makes it hard. This was not the first occasion that from the very moment we walked in the door, an older blonde woman who I can only assume was the owner, followed us around the store as if we were going to steal something. It was to the point (this time) that I would say something to my partner in a regular voice only intended for OUR conversation, and we would hear a disembodied voice that would then mysteriously be right next to us. If you want people to come back to what could be a lovely store, stop acting like everyone is a thief and let your customers do what they came to do….shop.

I had a horrible experience! I am opening a bakery, I stopped in because I heard what wonderful chocolate Guittard was. The owner was EXTREMELY RUDE!! Then when i proceeded to check out she exclaimed NEXT TIME WE PREFER CHECK! Im sorry but Im paying with Debit card so you would think she would appreciate getting $275 worth of chocolate for prompt payment instead of taking the chance of having a returned check ?? makes sense to me..

Such a wonderful selection to choose from for gifts, especially during the holiday season. There are caramels that you can buy individually or by the pound and the girls there will package them nicely for you, and with your choice of ribbon colour too! Honestly one of my favourite places in the Strip when looking for quick gifts.

I went here for a gift for my father and was not disappointed. My order was ready when I arrived and they were properly separated in bags. The snacks I tried were delicious. They even had dairy free options!

Great chocolate store. They have some very good chocolate along with other sweets but their specialty is chocolate at all price ranges. Ask for a basket so you can get a variety. Love this place.

Choco-tastic!

Wow! This shop is a chocolate lovers fantasy. The store is packed with artisanal chocolates from around the world produced by companies that are mostly small and, as youd expect, produce small batches. Youve never experienced such a selection. While some chocolates (mostly bars) are reasonably priced, many are quite expensive. The excellent staff can guide you to the options that are most compatible with your taste and wallet. Youll find both great traditional and exotic options.

Great selection but the one woman who works there (who I can only assume is the owner) has a very nasty attitude. She answers any questions in a very condescending and snarky way about anything she does not have in the shop. Im totally fine if you dont have something but I dont need the attitude to go with it. This has happened on several different occasions since I chalked it up the first time to a bad day. I love supporting local businesses but I no longer bring any visitors here and Ill be getting whatever chocolate I need off Amazon if this shop is the other option. If you know exactly what you need and they have it then youre probably fine but I will not support someplace with such poor customer service on principal.

I really enjoy stopping into Mon Aimee. Its a cute little chocolate store located in the Strip District with a decent selection of specialty chocolate. They carry some really delicious locally made Pittsburgh chocolate (Lux milk chocolate caramels are heavenly) as well as a large selection of imported chocolates, many of which are also delicious. Ive stopped in twice during Covid and Ive appreciated that everyone is wearing masks and that they have a hand sanitizer located once you walk in - which they nicely ask that you use once you enter.My reason for taking away one star is due to the cramped space - it can be pretty hard to walk around as it feels like youre constantly going to knock something over.Overall, if youre someone that has a sweet tooth or are looking for a unique gift I definitely recommend a stop in here.

I can find all types of chocolates from across the world here! A little pricey but worth it. Only a little complain: why there is sign for no photograph?!?! I can see in busy days it can become disturbing to other customers but if the store is not crowded what is the issue with a quick picture with this pretty store design? :)

Yes, the products are pricy. Many of them are imported, fair trade, and high quality, however, so it makes sense. One of the owners talked to us while we were there, which was nice.We especially liked the wide selection of flavored dark chocolates that are actually dark. Most of the time we can only find 54%, but there were many 70%+ bars with and without flavors. There were also a lot of great gift chocolates and sweets. Well definitely be back!

I found some hard to find candy from the UK here and the workers were INCREDIBLY helpful.

Incredible selection of chocolate! Other candy available as well, including some that British visitors will recognize that just arent readily available in the states. The prepackaged and housemade chocolates will make you drool and wish you hadnt planned on walking around all day. Top flight shop for chocoholics.

This is my go to place for my marzipan . Theyve got a whole variety of chocolates .Their staff are very polite, always helpful.If you know your chocolate, this is the place to go.

Love this little shop with great chocolate! Dont leave the store without at least asking to sample one of their many flavors of malted milk balls!! I make the trip there just for those. (The pumpkin is my favorite seasonal flavor, as is the mint chocolate which I believe they have year-round)

The prices are fairly high here, but they have so many different kinds of chocolate candy from around the world. There is a malted milk ball bar with a huge variety of flavors. My favorite is the green mint malted milk balls. Do not enter if youre on a diet. These goodies are awfully hard to resist.

This is a unique and awesome store in Pittsburgh. I always find my favorite European chocolates and staff are very kind and helpful.

This is a great place to visit when you are trying to satisfy your sweat tooth. The store has a range of chocolate products that will make almost anyone happy. The prices seem high for some items, but right on target for others. As a result, it is worth visiting if you are already on the strip. I am not sure it is worth a trip on its own though. Still, a great place to visit.

What a poor visit. From the moment we arrived, staff hovered nearby in the most unfriendly and suspicious fashion possible... staring coldly at us and trailing us around the tiny shop as if they expected us to pocket something. I do appreciate fine chocolates and have enjoyed them in chocolatiers all over the world, but I dont appreciate being treated like a criminal... so I bought nothing here in this Strip District import shop.In fact, we all felt so uncomfortable that we left as soon as we could and I made a point of noting the shop name specifically to leave this feedback. Perhaps Pittsburgh doesnt offer enough competition for Mon Aimee to need to offer a good customer experience.

One of the best chocolate and candy shops around. Fantastic high quality products at prices that are reflective of the quality of ingredients and products. The malted milkballs are fantastic. The shop is well stocked full with a large selection of difficult to find chocolates and confection both foreign and domestic. Conveniently located in the Strip District near all of the other food shops. Highly recommended!

This is a fabulous chocolate shop. They have every kind of chocolate candy you can think of. Some is a bit pricey but so worth it.

They have a variety of flavors of malted milk balls, not over powering. My 88 year old mother loved them - my grandfather owned a candy store! Lots of high quality chocolates.

Huge selection of imported, interesting, and hard-to-find chocolate and candy. Prices are pretty fair, considering the difficult sourcing of many of their products. Staff is helpful, if asked, but not very outgoing, and some experienced have been downright cold. Still, a great stop for any chocolate lover!

Oh my goodness! What a place!! Its a small little speciality chocolate shop on the strip and its wonderful. The employees were incredibly nice and genuinely caring. The freckled girl who helped us find the chocolate for our parents was outstanding, she knew so much about the product and was able to find us bars that fit our parents taste (which they loved). It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

I was introduced to Mon Aimee Chocolate by a good friend this summer. They dont have just chocolate, they have it all! Its pricey, but if you are willing to pay for top quality imported treats and chocolates its simply the best. Really loved the Belgian imported Dark Chocolate. Its a great atmosphere and the staff know a great deal about the products they carry. Its also located in the Strip District, which is always a plus! Stop by and be amazed at the quality selection they have!

If you havent gone to Mon Amiee Chocolat, you need to stop what youre doing and get your butt over there. They have a TON of variety. The chocolate comes from all over the world. They mostly have different chocolate bars, but they also have lots of other chocolate products. Malt balls, truffles, cookies, chocolate for baking, etc. They have a few other types of candy too, like marzipan, Harry Potter treats, Japanese candy, and a lot of stuff from England. Every time I go to the strip, I have to stop there and try a few new things.

Their selection of bean to bar chocolate is unreal. Ive never found a chocolate shop with better selection. I went in looking to learn more about single origin chocolate and the staff is also very knowledgable. Paradise!

A MUST-STOP for ANYONE visiting the Strip District. They have some of the best chocolate gelato Ive ever had as well as such an amazing variety from all around the world. The staff is nice and helpful. You MUST GO HERE.

Mon Aimee Chocolat is a store in the Strip District entirely devoted to selling chocolate. They try to sell chocolate that no other store in Pittsburgh sells. Because of that, you can find chocolate of all kinds from all countries around the world. My choice is their little hazelnut chocolates that come in a foil wrapper. It is sooooooo good!One odd thing to note is the owner strictly forbids photography inside. In the world of social media and peer review sites like Yelp, it seems odd, but to each their own.

I knew the minute i walked thru the door this wasnt gonna be good. It smelled like pinesol. Chocolate and pinesol do not mix..... Although there was alot of elegant chocolats.... The service was very bad. No one offered any help... It seemed like they were wrapped up with their personal lives . the woman that checked us out was very snobby and sarcastic. Was very disappointed. What could have been a $200 visit went sour... Not going back there again

Run by a couple of older ladies with a passion for chocolate. This has to be the biggest varied selection of chocolates I have ever seen, from European to cocoa to novelty chocolates to a huge selection of artisan and single origin chocolates. I stop here whenever i am in town!
