I am delighted to give this store 1 star because I did actually find a decent amount of stuff that I really liked and everything was on sale. For that they get a star. They only have 1 star because of the terrible customer service that I encountered. Before even exchanging words with the older lady (did not get her name, probably in her 50s, blonde with harsh eye make up) she was rude from the very beginning. Long story short she was unwilling to assist me with problems with my JCPenny credit card. When the manager Mike came over he was overly nice in a condescending manner. I winded up putting my items on hold and do not plan on coming back. Just winded up ordering online with a better online discount code. Forget going in there again. I can do everything online without the attitude and rudeness. No wonder the stores are slowly going out of business.

No kids clothing stores anymore at the mall other than gap kids! Had to find clothes for my kids for photo day and found some great stuff here including dress shoes for kids that were high quality and priced very well. It saved me a lot of time to just go here instead of a trip to northeast to find a Carters

I always enjoy shopping at JCPenneys there are always Bargains you can find there and the staff its always friendly and happy to help.

The service was great! The lady who waited on me really took time to help me with the coupon on my phone and was so patient! Made my day!

If it wasnt for the staff Id give this store a 1 star review. This store much like the mall its in is dark and unkempt. Its gor barley anything and what they do have is mostly leftover stock or clearance.

Got prescription sunglasses. Price reasonable for progressives. Were perfect. Huge section of clearance clothing items in store....80 to 90 percent off. Paid $22 for $195 of merchandise.

Annoyed the entrance is still closed seems for like at least a year, and theres always a problem in jewelry whether its my jewelry needing to be fixed or waiting a long time because there is never help....and that was pre pandemic as well

Don’t buy jewelry here. My ring broke after just 30 days and their response was just “do you wear it a lot?”. Of course I do! Isn’t that what you do with a ring?!! My husband had purchased the protection plan, thank goodness, because they said if he hadn’t, they couldn’t even fix it because it had been worn. So I guess if broke before I wore it, that would be covered!!! The “manager” was rude and didn’t wear her mask properly, which I though was poor customer service. Not even an apology from anyone about my broken ring.

Great deals to find.Main reason for the 5 stars was a manager came to pull us out of a line that was gonna take long and got us to a register to ring our one item out quick. He didnt have to do that and was a great experience 👌🏼

We were at the Jcpenney at Ross Park Mall for their portrait studio. The girls were great. Super friendly, helpful, and our pictures turned out great! We will be back for our next family portraits to this location.

For those who said that the store was half empty a few months ago, that was because they were going through a remodel, moving down to one story (except optical and portraits). The remodeled one story lower level store is much better now. Employees were very helpful and friendly.

Found great deals on Christmas gifts for my whole family. The checkout clerk was very helpful, got me extra coupons that significantly lowered my total price. Left the store very happy.

JC Penney has been a staple in this country. Dont let it die. The selection and prices are great and they deserve a chance. So please give it one.

Only went into store to pick up an online order. Associates were both helpful and pleasant. While in the store I saw several quality home store items on sale for 40% off. Penneys has always been my go to for home items, especially curtains. Now that I buy most things online, I can still visit one of my favorite stores when I pick up items!

Clean and well stocked

Went to the Mall and stopped at Penneys. They have always been a Mall staple and carry any and everything that all of the other stores carry. In addition they do have a salon that takes care of the beauty aspect and it is pretty good as I had my haircut there once. I especially enjoy Penneys at holiday time because they always have good Bargains and deals. Next time Im at the mall I will definitely go back in and take a look around. Happy shopping.

Great place to shop. Sales are super sales. Bought a Cooks double seasoned 10 cast iron skillet there last night. Original price $50. With the sale price of $29.99. and use of a coupon they mailed out to charge card holders, and using my charge card, it cost $18.18. Fantastic inventory on anything for the house or you. Lots of parking. This one is located at Ross Park Mall. Great skillet!

I dont care for the new setup of the store. It seems scrambled and I kept walking around in circles to find the departments. This just put a damper on my shopping experience from the start.

JC Penneys hours, always have great sales. And their staff are just so nice to do with their very friendly and helpful. One of my favorite retail stores.

They make it so easy to pick up anything you order online, I dont like shopping but when its in and out quick I dont mind and its nice to see what you are getting before you leave the store.

They took away the 2nd floor and crammed it all into the 1st floor and made it over crowded, poor service from help if you can find any

While browsing this establishment. I noticed a pair of dickies with a price tag that said $51. So of course I searched for a more realistic price on my phone, and in google search results in in the shopping portion of the page, they were listed with the same price. Not that strange. But when I got home which is only a couple miles away, the price dropped to $25.

My wife and I only had one mission for this Friday evening. We wanted to buy the replacement Cellular Blinds for two windows. The cordless mechanism had failed on our similar 12 years old blinds. We found exactly what we were looking for. The customer service was very good too. We also ended up buying a nice Polo Shirt for myself at the nearby Banana Republic on sale, additional 50% off the discounted price. Enjoyed the rest of the evening at the Ross Park Mall. Cheers!

I always find good stuff here, which is hard as a young plus size dude. Their spring line this year was great, lots of stylish oversize clothes.

As of Sep. 17 2019, this JCP is clearly going downhill and about to close. Whole entire areas were empty and shelves completely devoid of products. Made the whole store feel post-apocalyptic and creepy!

Store was nice and organized. Service was good. Only complaint was the online coupons. After lots of hoops, I couldnt use any of them.

There is only one studio, so your appointment time is just a number you can be seen a half hour later or more maybe even an hour. Other than that the people are very nice. Very small waiting area

Two times trying to pick up online orders in this store. Two times, its been a problem. Today, there was no one in the entire home department which is their designated pickup location. I would think that if youre going to label a register as order pickup, you should probably have someone anywhere near it. Its too bad shipping costs so much and makes this the only competitive way to shop here.

The photo studio is very good, and very quick. Got a lot of portraits, and the selection was good for backgrounds.

I Love shopping at J C Penney. I buy all my young grandchildren and my great-grandchild clothing. They last long. Service is good. Never had a problem.

So yesterday I came in 2 buy my daughter a nightgown for when shes in the hospital giving birth and she grabbed a few newborn things. We had a bunch of things that were listed on racks as being half off. When I got my bill it was $111 and I argue argue that there was no way that I could be the right price after three more attempts bring it right my daughter had to walk her back and start showing her for the nightgown and the newborn sweater and at that time we were just so frustrated that we just got the sweater cuz my daughter had her heart set on it set on it and we got the nightgown because she needed something comfortable to wear in the hospital. But we left about 20 items that we truly wanted because this woman was very unprofessional as well as impatience even after we showed her a few of the items and that they very well should have been marked down. It really upset me because I was truly excited to find the things and I would have even paid the price for them but after being rang up three times and my daughter being out of breath trying to keep up with the sales lady we were just done with the transaction and wanted to leave

I have been a loyal JCP customer for years. The quality has really declined. Less staffing, clutter, it seems sterile now instead of warm and inviting.

Came in for holiday photos and overall it went very well and we are happy with the results. There were a few issues I think might help people to know about. We had an appointment for 9:45, before the mall was even open and they were already a half hour behind schedule. The photographer was good at getting the kids interested, but I thought the poses were a little limited. Also we wanted to pay separately and they had trouble calculating the right amount, I had to do it on paper. Small issues overall a good experience.

I shop here a lot, they had great sales for Black Friday!!

The boys jeans wall was a disaster. Be very careful of the style you are picking up because only one style is on sale. Since everything is in disarray, it looks like the sale tag correlates with what you are looking at. But it doesnt, because there are different styles and prices all jumbled together.

Overpriced clearance section. Macys has better prices for the same brands!

We were out to buy 2 twin XL mattresses. A gentleman by he name of Jeff help us with all the details. However, we needed to return home and make sure that the frames would accommodate the mattresses. Jeff was not there the following day, but said we should see his associate for all the discounts and free shipping. The associate rang us up quickly and set the delivery date for us. The following day Jeff called us back to tell us we were not to be charged the shipping and was taking care of the refund for us. Apparently, the associate overlooked the discount. I think it was TRULY nice of Jeff to catch this for us and then to take the time to call us & take care of the entire refund. Job well done Jeff!!!Ginny Barry & Francisco J. Bought the cutest dress for myself for a Wedding shower. They were on sale 2 for $30 so I bought 2.

Solid JCPenney with a wide variety of merchandise and great sales. Conveniently attached to the mall with easy parking. This place is a staple for when Im clothing shopping.

No wonder its going out of business. The raise price up 90% and say its 70% off. Yet the uneducated folks are filling their carts.
