Great selection of cigars, really chill atmosphere and everyone was very helpful and friendly. The owner is friendly and willing to talk with you. Definitely recommend this place for cigar lovers like me.

Am very disappointed on the way I was treated here, I am a 21 year old hardcore cigar collector and smoker. I started before the age change which I have no problem showing my ID if asked because I do look young. The way I was stared at and pointed to when I walked into the store to see if they had a Davidoff I was looking for was uncalled for. Especially the way I was followed and watched in the humidor. I guess they figure a young guy is gonna steal as well as knows nothing about cigars which is how I was treated. Hate to break the news to them that age means nothing as well as I probably know more and have a better collection then most there.

I love Leaf n Bean! They are one of my favorite cigar spots, due to it being a low key, island inspired hideaways to enjoy your favorite stick with your friends. Did i mention they serve coffee as well. Keep doing what youre doing guys, you do it so well.

Always on the hunt for good coffee and voila, found this gem. I’m also that human who always order cappuccino. It’s funny that I was asked if I want it how Starbucks make it I and I said no. That’s a first. Oh and the cappuccino was fantastic.

Just paid 2.75 for the saddest excuse for a espresso shot I’ve ever seen . The guy behind the counter say that just how the machine does it …… new flash your machines broken and clearly don’t care to fix it . If you a coffee drink take the time to hit La colmobe up the block for your fix

One of my favorite places in the strip! A great little cafe & cigar shop. This place is funky chic and Island Jim is one cool dude. The staff our a great group of locals and are always up to date with fun things going on in the city and what bands are playing around town. Speaking of bands they have live music every Saturday. I love this place, it was a home away from home for a long while where I worked on my laptop and met many locals in the evening. Don’t just grab a smoke, their coffee is excellent!

Tasty flavorful cigars and the staff is great. I’m from the Pittsburgh area, but live in Bridgeport WV. My wife and I enjoy shopping in the Strip. I stop every week and get a few “Leaf by James” or “Leaf by Oscar.” I like the donation container by the checkout that’s for cigars to our troops abroad too.

I really wanted to like this place. Was willing to look past the constant stench of cigars.. first time Ive thrown coffee away in a long time. You almost have to try for that achievement.

Housed in a former (many years ago) service station, this shop feels like a museum. Brings to mind The Old Curiosity Shop by Dickens.The owner is charming and helpful, albeit eccentric. They have a great selection of cigars for any budget (great $3 cigars, up to very expensive sticks).They support local artists by hosting singer/songwriters on Saturday afternoons. They make great coffee. They encourage you to hang out as long as you like. Their prices are fair.After having not-so-good experiences elsewhere, this was an awesomely welcome change.My only gripe? They are not open on Sundays (with a rare exception). But hey, everyone needs a day off!A+ recommend!

Great place to get a good cigar

In the market for a good cigar, I decided to stop at the Leaf & Bean in the Strip District. As God would have it, I stopped at just the opportune time because the owner, a fact that I was unaware of at the time, was behind the counter working the register. I was in the process of purchasing approximately $50 worth of cigars when a bright, shiny, yellow Jet Line cigar torch caught my eye. The retail price was $100 so I thought I would use a couple of my newly acquired negotiation strategies from The Art of The Deal. I inquired if he would be willing to part with the beautiful lighter for $75 and to my surprise he agreed! Heck, he even threw in a free large can of Butane lighter fluid and a free Butane lighter air bleed tool! I couldnt ask for more! Great customer service goes a long way! I highly recommend this place not just because of the kindness of the owner but also because of the the great product that they have to offer! Try it out!

Amazing cigar selection!! They have some leaf cigars that are made just for here. Friendly and helpful people. We got 6 good cigars for under $50. I would recommend the Big Johnny!!! Great long smoke to enjoy. They have some great coffees also. Be sure to check their hours before you go.

Located in a tourist district, leaf and bean is a very popular hang-out for cigar lovers. It is perhaps one of the most coolcigar lounges I have been to. Where the average lounge aims for an air of superiority, the atmosphere at leaf and bean is eccentric, quirky, and fun. This is a refreshing change of pace from the normal cigar shop routine of droll paint and Fox News TV watching. Outdoor seating available.The humidor is decent, but not spectacular. Go for the people watching and good times.

Their selection of boutique cigars is impeccable, along with any variety of coffee your heart desires. Island Jim creates such a welcoming atmosphere, you will feel like you have been going there for years, even if it is the first time you wandered in.

Just went there for the first time and what a nice relaxing atmosphere. Great selection of cigars and plenty to look at while you relax. Very helpful and friendly staff and they take donations to send our troops cigars overseas. I am now a loyal customer. I will be going back again and again.

The place is unique and inviting with a great staff, too. Many different cigars fill the humidor from some main labels and lots of small labels. There are no regrets after driving over an hour just to hang out here. If you go there, pick up an Island Jim, itll be worth it.

I spent a weekend in Pittsburgh and stumbled upon this awesome little cigar shop in the strip district. Great place to relax and have a smoke. They have a great selection of cigars and a super friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I dont get to go to Key West as much as I would like. Having a great cigar is another issue too. At this place I get almost there. All I need is some six toe cats, conch chowder and cold beer.

Its awesome to be able to sit with friends and smoke a stogie while drinking some coffee. Great cigar selection, but there is better coffee places in the strip. If you want just a coffee then probably not the place for you. Workers were very helpful in the humidor!Update: Just stopped by for the first time since Covid. Because of circumstances they can no longer communal lighters/cutters. They were kind enough to give me a cutter and lighter. Make sure to bring youre own but it was very nice they were so accommodating!

When I moved away from Pittsburgh after graduating from Pitt, I chose to have my going away party at Leaf and Bean. I cannot begin to describe how cool this place is. They make a characature of clutter (motorcycle hanging from the ceiling, suit of armour with glasses on it, etc.).They have a great selection of cigars, good coffee, and live music. I recommend their in house cigar the Island Jim.

Called the store enquiring about their products, specifically asking if they carried higher-end pipe tobacco (the shop is listed as a tobacco shop). Instead of the more polite answer of “No, we only carry cigars and coffee.” The “gentleman” on the phone stated, “We sell cigars and coffee.” When I attempted to seek clarification of, “So, no pipe tobacco at all…?” The gentleman again replied, “We sell cigars and coffee. It’s in the name.”I smoke cigars and drink coffee, but will be purchasing neither here after this awful display of rudeness to a potential customer simply seeking information of their merchandise.

Cool smoke shop. Jerry Garcia looking owner has his own line of cigars called Leaf by Oscar. Weekends I usually see someone singing & playing acoustic while customers hang out enjoying a smoke. They serve coffee and I think Ive seen some byob patrons.

Coffee was good. The selection on cigars was a bit disappointing but there are a few good ones. The attendant was very nice.

Upon walking in from the cold streets we were welcomed by a warm friendly face and a selection of fine cigars and coffee. They have their cigars in a humidified environment and the actual building is full of old and vintage stuff. Its definitely worth your time.

Absolutely love this place. Great to stop after work, or during lunch for a coffee and cigar. Try the Leaf by Oscar, great cigar.

This is a novel place but not the place to go if you dont like sitting in other peoples smoke. The ventilation here is none existant. The day I went we sat out in the snow. It could be so easily made into a happening place with just a little investment in decent ventilation.

Really cool environment and the gents working were really nice.

The décor was inviting and the patrons friendly. The humidor was well-stocked and I was assisted in my selections by the owner himself. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and will most certainly make it back time and time again.

Love the garage but the staff are unfriendly and babysit me in the humidor as if Im going to steal their cigars. Ive been a customer there many times but the atmosphere of the boys club is very strong and it feels somewhat unfriendly towards women.

What an amazing coffee and cigar bar! Not only was the staff incredibly friendly but extremely knowledgeable! Hell I could of talked to that guy for hours. No wonder my neighbor wanted to drive AN HOUR AND A HALF AWAY TO GO HERE! After going was definitely worth the 3 hour round trip through Pittsburgh rush hour traffic. Only regret is not being able to stay longer. No trip to Pittsburgh for now on wont be complete with a stop at Leaf and Bean!
