The team at Pearle Vision Waterworks were all very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend them highly. Thank you
I have been going to this office for a few years. Everyone there was new and very friendly. I saw Dr. Short and he was very personable and went over everything with me during my exam. Then came Leslie and Leslie took care of my glasses. Leslie made me feel like we knew each other for years. Very professional and very friendly at the same time. Can’t wait to go back to pick up my new glasses. Keep up the great work.
Not only did they try to charge me for 2 years’ worth of contacts(I had to stop them from doing this for just one year’s worth), but they also told me the kind I got was cheaper. The only catch was that I would need a rebate and my rebate was denied because Pearle Vision is not a “participating reseller”. The whole thing after the eye exam felt like a scam.
Wonderful experience. The staff was a delight. My appointment went smooth and all of my questions were answered with great detail. They were patient and thorough when it came to getting me the most for my money while working with my insurance plan and In-store promos. Thank you for your service and friendliness.
The team at Pearle Vision was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for making a tough situation with my mothers glasses very easy to get despite her not being able to come in.
Great, helpful staff, completely happy with my 2 pair of glasses.
I spent almost $800 for glasses & sunglasses & thats with insurance. When my glasses came in, the sunglasses were so big that they were falling off my face. The technician made several attempts to fix the problem but finally told me that the problem was that my lenses were too thick for the glasses & changed the shape of the frame. Your job is glasses, nothing but glasses, shouldnt it be your job to know what lenses would fit into which frames?? Thanks to them I cant wear my new glasses because I need to be able to wear sunglasses until I can go somewhere else & get a pair. Dont waste your money
The doctors at this location are great and I have always had a great experience with them. The other staff however is only worried about selling you and thats it. The doctor suggested I try a new contact and wrote directly on my Rx that I should try them for 10 days, when I picked up my sample I was only given 5 days. I tried to call to ask for my other 5 days as these contacts are far more expensive than my old ones and was told no that I only get 5 days even though the doctor recommended 10 and if they were too expensive for me they can ask for a different contact, it was very condescending. I called back the next day and spoke with someone else who was also quite rude about it but said fine theyd order them. That was about a week or two ago and I have not heard back from anyone there. My plan was to try them and then order my whole year through Pearl Vision but I will not be now nor will I go there again for my eye exam. This is a shame because I have been using Pearl Vision for over 15 years.
The process for scheduling an eye exam for contacts went smooth. The appointment itself went well. The class for contact training was educational. HOWEVER, I was told I needed to call back after wearing my contacts to have my prescription released to ensure no adjustments were needed. That was in July. We are now into October and nobody will answer the phone or return my calls. I have been calling multiple times a day, several days a week, leaving multiple voicemails, and NOBODY answers the phone and they do not return calls. It was to the point where their inbox was full and I couldnt leave a message, only to call the next day and their inbox was accepting messages. I contacted the after hours physician who said he would follow up with the regional director. I paid $140 for 10 days of daily trial lenses. I NEED my prescription to order more contacts, no provider will fulfill my order without it. So now Im left driving an HOUR because they will not answer their phone. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
In my opinion, Pearl Vision has become overpriced. Almost $1000 for two pairs of glasses for my son and I (with insurance), and they wouldnt even give us a free eye glass cleaner unless we agreed to sign up through Facebook. Really???If your looking value for your money, I would look elsewhere.
Lots of hidden fees here. They will constantly try to upsell you on additional items outside of what you asked for. My experience overall was unpleasant, although the optometrist was fairly nice.
Had a wonderful experience there. Very knowledgeable staff.
I have been trying to call for three days and have left two messages and no-one will return my call. I have a $10 co-pay through my insurance company yet was charged $49. Just trying to find out why was I charged extra. I have checked the hours of business online and have tried calling during regular business hours yet they wont pick up and wont return my calls. Not very professional in my opinion and I am not impressed. I guess I will need to stop in unannounced to find out why.
Ive called them 4 times to schedule an eye appointment now and each time I waited at least 30 minutes on hold each time I called warby Parker there prices ware way better and there classes are so much ceaperf
Great place for eye Care. Been going here and one other place basically my entire life. Good deals, they also work well with insurance. Good people.
TERRIBLE SERVICE. They NEVER answer the phone. I have called probably dozens of times and left voicemails asking them to call me back when they can and they have never once done so. I have been wearing my last pair of monthly contacts for close to three months because I can never reach them to order more. I used to love this office and now I will never be back to them. DO NOT recommend going here.
The staff are not the problem its the system.I had glasses that would only take two weeks to finish but it taken a month and a week ( trust me I counted) due to putting my last name under a WRONG name. How does a last name that starts with O end up being an H?!The labs also sent my lenses to two different places and thats the reason why it taken a month and a week.I didnt have the other insurances covered under them ( Upmc for you is my insurance) bht thats just a small warning for anyone who has that insurance. The staff is nice and super helpful but just be careful.
I always dread getting an eye exam, everything from the cost to having my eyes dilated, but my entire experience was easy and dare I say fun! Pearl Vision has technology that does not require your eyes to be dilated and The receptionist and Pam made sure to find and give me all available discounts on my eye exam and lenses. Everyone was so friendly! The doctor who gave my eye exam today was also very personable! I had a great experience and won the song challenge today for an extra bonus! I was not “blinded by the light” (inside joke with staff) I highly recommend this place!
My progressive bifocals are useless for driving.
Ive been going to this Pearle Vision for about 3 years now and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. I refer family and friends there all the time. The doctor actually takes time to address any issues you may be having. Pam was very helpful when I asked her opinion about how some of the frames looked on me and I appreciated it!! Dr Jill was great first time I saw her and she was very nice and addressed all my questions.
Pam was so helpful when I needed contacts immediately or my work would have been held up. She was friendly, kind, knowledgeable and a life-saver. Great business. Thank you Pam.
Dr. Jill, Pam and the entire staff get 5 stars!! They are AMAZING!! Every employee always goes above and beyond to meet the needs of their patients/customers. They are friendly, polite, knowledgeable and work together as a team to make each experience enjoyable and seamless. I highly recommend this location.
I was running late so I decided to call before I got to the store. They didnt pick up and when I got there they told me I had to reschedule. The receptionist goes on to tell me something is wrong with their phone. Why is your phone not fixed and you have customers that need to get in touch with you. Poor customer service. I wont be back.
I ordered glasses lens replacements and sunglasses on May 30th. At no time have they called to say anything was ready. I picked up the lenses about a month later. The phone does not result in returned phone calls. I stopped in the store on July 14th. Carole, the only person there, called National Vision. She then told me the sunglasses were complete and only needed to be sent to the store. I was to pick them up on the 16th. She called that day and said they werent there since they had been scratched. I asked for my money back but she said that was impossible. I am working on it, but in the meantime, go somewhere else for decent service.
I was due for an eye exam and decided to try here as its close to my job. The doctor was so friendly and the staff was amazing! The lady i was working with was so nice and took the to check a couple different frames. They defiantly will have my business from here on out.
Pam & Bob were delight. They made our morning after having to trudge through the wintry mix on the roads. In fact, the whole staff at Pearle Vision: Waterworks is as friendly and helpful as can be. If you are looking for great customer service, eye care, and options, look no further! I have been coming here for 16 years and I don’t plan on making a change. Thank you Pearle Vision: Waterworks!
The staff at this location was incredible! They were friendly and very helpful. They took their time and made sure my insurance was used to its fullest benefit.
I have been going to Pearle Vision for over 14 year and always receive great service. Pam Q and the staff are very personable and professional, they take their time to help me find frames for my family and the best deals to see what works best for my budget.I have tried other places but they messed up my prescription lenses, I came back to Pearle because I never have an issue. I wouldn’t choose to go anywhere else.
Do not go here ....my son has an astigmatism and after few months after my son had his eye exam he started having trouble seeing out of his contacts and they wanted to charge us for another eye exam ..... not good business .... if I’m going to pay to have my son get another exam I’m certainly not going to have them do it!!! And my husband spent $$$$ even after the insurance and thank goodness I hadn’t had them do my exam yet ....... they just lost a family of three as customers!!!! I read other reviews about the same issue ...... 😡😡
Staff were very friendly in store, however, it has been frustrating that I have since called 3 different times on 3 different days with an important follow up question, have left a voicemail and contact information each time, and no one has returned my call in several days.
Dr. Jill was the first doctor to help me out of five eye glass shops. The staff was also helpful especially Anna. She was very honorable putting myself before her own.Thank you,(retired US army) Sgt. Jeff Kalo
I came in and bought glasses and I had such a great experience. The people were so nice and friendly I ended up going back and buying a second pair. Absolutely recommend getting your glasses there.
Just stopped in to pick up my new glasses. They told me 10 to 14 days, yet they were ready in 3 days (not counting the weekend). What more could you ask for. The Doctor and staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend a visit here for your next eye care need.
Had a wonderful experience. My 2 children went in on a Monday afternoon and had there glassed that same week Friday. Staff all friendly and helpful. Just stopped in today because my daughter bent her new glasses and was helped right away. The glasses were fixed (no charge), lenses cleaned. Thank you. I myself will now be heading in for a visit.
Amazing staff, super friendly. Quick and easy 10/10
Have only been here for optometry services, but the wait time is very short (~20 minutes for a scheduled prescription check). Also they were very helpful with deciding on the best brand of contacts, and I like that they use a specialized camera instead of eye dilation.
Bob went above and beyond for me to save me money. Amazing customer service! Everyone is very friendly everytime I am there. Would recommend them to anyone!
This Pearle Vision location is awesome. Recently my son, my daughter and I had appointments at this location. Dr. Shumski is excellent - he takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions you may have. The staff assisting with glasses are very patient and helpful. They are knowledgeable about insurance and all frames they carry. When there is a problem, they listen and advise. For instance, my sons frames bent badly and could not be fixed in the store. Pam contacted the vendor and ordered the new frame. While we had to wait a while for the replacement, Pam and other staff kept us up to date on the progress of delivery of the frame (the phone calls were appreciated). Bottom line - the staff of Pearle Vision at the Waterworks provides excellent care, impeccable service and if a problem does arise - they go above and beyond to remedy the situation.
Theirnew policy is they will only fit you for contacts IF you buy contacts from them that same day, but they wait until you show up for the exam to tell you about that. The people in the front of the store are pushy and just want to sell, sell, sell.Do yourself a favor: find a real practice, get a complete script, and save yourself a ton of money.
Always a pleasant experience here. Dr. Shumski and staff are very helpful. I was able to schedule online and be seen quickly.
I only went to this location because they took my insurance. The doctor is great. One of the receptionist is not so great unfortunately. I had walked in AND called in to let them know how my contacts had been burning my eyes for a couple of weeks. I had bought a great amount of contacts. She replied saying the contacts may be defected and that she will talk to the doc and get back to me. She did not end up calling back and every time I called in to check on my situation she was not in. It’s unprofessional and non customer friendly unfortunately on her part. Additionally, they advertise how they will exchange unopened contacts, but they won’t help you fix the problem.
Nearly 3 months and 5 visits later I still dont have the correct contact prescription. Ive never had this problem at any other eye doctor Ive been to. The try-ons should happen at the office. Part of the problem is they have you try the contacts on at home which just makes the whole process that much longer. I can tell you in about 30 seconds if the contact prescription seems totally off or if its good. Have me to do that in the office so I dont have to make appointment after appointment and countless trips back into the office. Not to mention Ive been living life for three months without a proper pair of contacts, so as you can guess, I have dizziness, headaches, and the inability to see properly while working on a computer all day and while driving. Once this ordeal is over I am never coming back to this facility.
I asked if I could get my glasses tightened, and they did it gladly with a smile and free of charge, Great relaxing atmosphere, exceptionally outstanding customer service!
Dr. was pleasant, thats about all I can say...I was told 10-14 days for my glasses (single vision, nothing spectacular about my Rx). It took almost a month to get them... I called them several times to check the status. They blamed the delay on the lab... That was my first and last visit.
This place went downhill. Love the doctor, unfortunately the wait time for glasses is ridiculous. Five weeks for my son and still waiting. Way too many excuses and now a lens did not pass inspection who knows how long we will wait. They were quick to take the insurance money, though. After years of our family using this location, this experience has made my mind up that its time to file a grievance with insurance and move on to a reliable eyewear place. Very disappointed in that my son was let down like this. Three hours we spent on exams and ordering glasses to keep getting the run around. Completely dissatisfied.Last year my lenses were made wrong, bifocals were off and I had extreme headaches. It took weeks to return them and have plain lenses put in and they were still wrong and gave me migraines. I never wore them and wasted alot of money.Too many buy outs and new owners/labs. A great place we loved turned in to a franchise that seems only worried about dollars not clients. Real shame.
Went there Tuesday night since their hours online say open until 6 pm. We were there about 5:30 -5:35 and door was locked. Wife needed her nose piece fixed. NO hours listed on the door for Tuesday. Website needs updated.
Walked in the door late. They close at 8 got there at 7:15. The women working was so nice and helpful. I had my rx faxed over and new glasses pickrd out in 20 min. Very nice people and very fair prices.
Beware. They add charges on to your bill that you did not agree to and then won’t refund you when you call them out on it. Is there a ZERO star option?
I came here after my doctor retired. I paid huge $$ with insurance for exam and update rx for my contacts. I have an astigmastism. but have never had a problem with contacts. since Pearle took over, my contact always floats around my eye. worse than if I had no eye assistance. I contacted 1800 contacts. they said it sounds like the doctor gave wrong measurements for eye astigmatism. pearle wants to CHARGE ME AGAIN for measurement. Why would I pay hundreds AGAIN after you FAILED the first time??? Ive used 1800contacts for a decade and they have been awesome.. The doctor who took over this Pearle vision center sucks. sucks. sucks. and I wish I could greet back my money cuz in 2 months I am going to get my eye measured again and pay big bucks cuz this pearls do took my insurance cash.DONT GO TO PEARLE IN WATERWORKS.
I have to agree with some of others reviews. Im going on 3rd week of waiting for glasses. Im disappointed. I hope I dont have to wait as long as others have waited. I wouldnt recommend this Pearl Vision to a friend!
Husband ordered over $700 worth of products (glasses and rx shades). He was told it was on rush and that it would be in...... after calling daily, told to hold while they checked, and being told that they were coming Friday, the day before our vacation, he shows up Friday to find the shades have been sent to some other East PA store.Couldnt see that after checking so many times. Not to mention he was told they were outsourced due to the Rx.This place will lie to you... tell you the glasses will be here tomorrow, then tomorrow, then tomorrow... only to find out they went to an undisclosed location.Takes your money and your time. Once the shades come in, we will take our business elsewhere!
Great service, nice people!
PLEASE CHANGE STORE HOURS ONLINE! It says closes at 8pm so I drove out there tonight and on the door it says closes at 7pm.
Ordered glasses, 18 days later they havent even been shipped. Disgrace
The worst experience we ever had,its going on 4 months and my wife still hasnt received her glasses, they keep blaming the lab, if the lab is that incompetent, order from a new lab, they were ignorant to us,they keep giving us the run around, they gave her glasses that were scratched, and never replaced them after multiple calls we made to them, they are a complete joke of a business, i would advise everyone to stay away from them, they do not care about their customers, they just want your money, they dont deserve one star, but unfortunately you have to give them one
👍🏼
