Just wanted to give a shout out to the staff at the Shadyside store! I came in two times to hunt down the perfect shade of lipstick for my wedding day and I was treated like a damn queen by everyone who popped over to help me out. Makeup shopping isnt my favorite thing in normal times, let alone during a pandemic, BUT the staff made sure all the products I was testing were properly disinfected and provided their own feedback to help me narrow down my choice. I am so grateful for everyones help and all the positive vibes, such wonderful humans and I will gladly be going back in the future!!

Associates are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable as well as willing to admit when they arent sure about something which is a trait I appreciate more than anything in someone helping me. Wonderful experience every time I go in. The selection is great too and if they dont have it, theyll help you order it.

Stopped in and to my surprise they were color matching again. I keep it very basic when it comes to make up, so I needed some assistance. Went here with my daughter and I’m pretty sure they have everything a woman could ever want. It felt like the Apple store for cosmetics. The staff was plentiful and very helpful the prices are what you would expect for this kind of place but we got out without spending too much

Misha was exceptionally helpful during my recent visit. I went in there with a list of things I needed but no idea where to start - Misha made finding the perfect items for me an absolute BREEZE!

This place is really nice. As soon as I walked in an employee greeted me and asked if I needed help. I got some good advice on what would help with a issue I have with my skin and they let me sample I perfume I wanted to try. Friendly and upbeat employees. Music in the store is loud and a little distracting. I had a good experience overall and will definitely be back.

The reason why Im giving this shop five stars is only because of the people working there. They went out of their way to try their best to find me the products I needed and were super friendly. I love that they are not commission based and are working together as a team instead of competing against each other. That makes it so much more pleasant! If not for the employees I am certain that I wouldnt bother with the hassle of trying to find parking at this store. It took about 15-20 minutes to finally find a spot! I also think that the sheer amount of products being displayed in the store is really overwhelming and difficult for someone like myself with sensory processing issues. That is why I depend on the help of the sales people.

The first time I went, I was given Matte instead of Original Bare Minerals foundation. I had to go back and exchange it and the employee didnt show me where Bare Minerals was (she only asked if I knew where it was but the store was being remodeled so the location changed) and then I got lost! I was hoping someone could just quickly help me switch out my foundations. But the first time I went, an employee was really helpful in finding a bronzer and helping me understand how to use it!!!

It is in Shadyside, so the store itself is tiny, but has great items. The five star review is for Shaina (sorry if I spelled it wrong) who was super accommodating and efficient! Because of covid, there was a line outside the store. There was a protest about to start and I thought my car was going to be stuck in the garage, so she immediately asked me if she could get the items I was looking for to get me checked out. 10/10 customer service. I really appreciate this as I manage my own store and know what its like to be under pressure and still meet everyones needs. Thank you so much! She deserves a raise.

I got my makeup done for my brothers wedding I was in and it was a wonderful experience! My makeup artist was Sara who was amazing. I have no knowledge of makeup beyond mascara and lipstick and she explained each product to me and helped me pick some things at end that even I would be able to use! I would definitely request her again next time I get my makeup done!

I walked in wanting to buy the new Anastasia Beverly Hills foundation but I didnt know my color. A few minutes later an employee came to help me match me to a shade and she was super sweet and friendly. I highly recommend this Sephora because their customer service skills are great. The staff are also knowledgable about skincare and provide in depth information about the products.

Great workers helped me find exactly what i was looking for, friendly, wide selection, different brands to choose from. The Lady at the register was absolutely stunning, one of the most beautiful women i’ve ever seen. It took all the strength inside me for me not to tell her how gorgeous she was.

The workers were very nice but unfortunately they don’t carry Rihanna’s Fenty cosmetics line. Many of the brands they do have don’t carry many deep darker tones so it would be nice if they carried Fenty because she has a myriad of shades. Overall good experience .

Its become a norm that my husband will take me to this Sephora every year on my birthday. I love the happening road, the crowd and the happy mood I have when I am there. The staffs are good too.

Its a great store with great customer service but I only find a parking spot about 50% of the time the other 50% im forced to just go home empty handed. Wish it was in a better location.

I get lost in these big make-up stores, but the woman working the floor found what I was looking for immediately. Very nice staff.

Why is this location so bad? The person who tried to help me, had no idea what she was talking about. And then at the register product I chose appeared to have a different price.. when i said it was different price ( of course lower one) cashier looked down at me like as if ‘oh honey you cannot afford it or what’? And said ‘this was misplaced.. this is the price. Do you want it or no?’ I mean yes i want it, but if you have things unorganized in your store — it is your problem. If it marked as that price give it to me for that price!

Worst Sephora ever! Extremely tight and tiny in the store. I went to find a new foundation and I was sent to some other girl supposedly but couldnt find her which is ridiculous considering how small the store is. Thank God there are other Sephora stores in Pittsburgh that you can actually find what you want.

I love Sephora.The staff are usually very helpful. If you are unsure how to use a product they tend to be able to demo or help you understand. If you tell them which products you already have, they often will work with your existing resources to help you pick what you need in addition.Generally, their rewards system is very difficult to traverse. They have a multilevel system similar to Starbucks (ie based on your spending you get a different reward level). If you plan to shop at this chain a lot, I recommend getting their app to help manage this.Sephora carries a lot of brands that are cruelty-free. Often staff are knowledgeable about this. If you are interested in avoiding certain ingredients and chemicals and cruelty-free products, look for the Clean tag.Happy shopping!

Small store, but still typically well stocked & have always had a great experience with the staff. They have always been friendly, knowledgeable & Sarah is an excellent makeup artist!

Omg I love this store. The employees assortment, cleanliness. It is awesome. Marcus is perhaps the best retail makeup artist in Charleston. I love the nearby Ulta too, but there is just something about how these Sephora peeps conduct themselves in a savvy yet bend over backwards way that I love.

I got my makeup done at this Sephora for my rehearsal dinner, and it was the best service Ive ever received at a Sephora. I was visiting from out of town, and I was so blown away by how sweet and friendly the associates were. The associate who did my makeup was extremely knowledgeable and I tried to figure out her name, but couldnt get a hold of the store!The associate was able to create a very natural glowy look that didnt look like I had makeup caked on. If youre considering getting lashes during your makeover, I recommend upgrading to the $17 eyelashes that look very natural, as opposed to the $10 ones Ive had them do before.Overall, I just want to give props to the team for an awesome makeover, and the associate who did my makeup (she had short brownish red hair and worked in theater before this).

Very small location and the aisles were crowded and difficult to move around in. My wife was looking for a sample of some makeup that was in stock and available but the girl refused to open the cabinet to allow her to try it. Needless to say we didnt stay or spend any money at this location so we drove to another Sephora location about 20 minutes away and made the purchase as the sales person was much more helpful.Do yourself a favor and stay away from this location unless you are in a pinch for something. With their limited space and lack of customer service you may find yourself frustrated.

I have had good experiences at this store in the past hence the two star and not one star rating, unfortunately the last time I was in this store I was appalled at the customer service. My friend and I were in the store for at least 10 minutes clearly in need of assistance and we were never even greeted let alone asked if we needed any help. The employees were all gathered in a corner having a personal conversation amongst themselves the entire time. When I finally asked a woman to help me she had absolutely no knowledge of any of the products I was interested in, insisting that one was waterproof and one wasnt when it clearly stated on the package they were both waterproof. She then tried to sell me something I was not looking for, when I said I was not interested in that she became rude. This location already has a stunted selection of products, at least be nice to your customers and please do not make up information just to appear knowledgable.Update: Visited this location this afternoon and Jackie helped me, she was very nice and helpful, best experience Ive had here in years upped my rating because of her.

I came from New York nine months ago. As a life long New Yorker and a die hard Sephora fan leaving my New York Sephora gals was hard. But I am glad and grateful to report that the Walnut Street gang are such a terrific, knowledgeable, kind, warm, did I say knowledgeable group.You are are so lovely that not only are you my go to for every beauty product I buy (btw you always suggest the best), you are all just another reason that I am obsessed with Pittsburgh and now my great go to little sweet Walnut Street Sephora family.Fondly and gratefully,Julie

I like Sephora a lot. This store can get busy on weekends and as its on a small street with minimal parking it is a smaller size but it carries a good range of products.I have always had good experiences with all the staff there. Many times I have had samples rained on me and also any time I have asked for perfume samples they have allowed me to get numerous different scents.I have never had much success with their Color matching device which always indicates that I should have a pale warm foundation, which, when applied by the make up artist quickly gives me a yellow tone. However the make up artists there are knowledgeable about breakout triggers in post-teen women. They make many useful suggestions that arent related to any product purchases in-store.The only reason for the 4 star rating is having been urged to purchase a very expensive skin peel range that did nothing for my skin despite insistence that it would over a cheaper product version I initially wanted to try.

I went in for a make up mini find your foundation and the person who was assigned to me was super rude and was smirking at me the whole time. She was condescending and when I wasnt satisfied with a foundation look, she just tells me we cant go on forever trying foundations the whole day. The whole experience was bad and Im a little too scared to go back for another consult. I dont know her name but she had a cold and I was afraid to catch it.The one star is for the other assistants who were much polite and friendly. It was just her who was so mean.

My daughter received a custom makeover today for the prom and the ladies at walnut street location went well above expectation to make my daughter not only look beautiful but really saved a very nervous and overwrought teen from tears A huge thank you. Not a single person in this store even greeted or acknowledged me. Felt asthough I was unwelcomed. Came with intentions of spending probably a ridiculous amount of money but decided not to waste my time seeing as though sales werent on the minds of these gossiping ladies.

I just left Sephora Shadyside and I must say the staff was excellent. Sara was the one to wait on me and her customer service was great! I was looking to match Rihannas new foundation Fenty they did not have my shade in stock, but she called Monroeville as well to see if they had it in stock. No luck! She took my email to let me know when its back in stock. I will most definitely frequent this Sephora more often. This says a lot coming a former retail manager.
