The pharmacy line was so long i left came back the line was even longer they only had one cashier. I understand everyone is short staffed i left and ill try back another day

Favorite place for all my home needs not just for food.

Clean, well stocked, and great selections of national and in-store brands.. Beer and wine available too with accommodations for you at their in-store bar area. They always have a tremendous selection in the fresh meat department...and they will cut to order. Fine selections in the prepared food area and they have so many varieties in the deli and cheese sections and their in-store bakery items cant be passed up. You can shop elsewhere but really, why would you want to when everything is right here...along with the stores over-all quality and competitive pricing. If they dont have what you are looking for just tell them and itll be there on your next shopping trip. Easy accessibility by car and public transportation can drop you off right at the main entrance. There is plenty of parking space (handicap included) and the store has handicap accessibility.. On- site banking, dry cleaning, prescription drugs, PA Lottery and so much more to name a few. I personally shop at several of the Market District stores in the Pgh. area and needless to say, I just naturally like the concept of having everything under one roof and one-stop shopping.. Lastly, the customer service throughout the store deserves mentioning. They give you that little extra that makes you feellike youre special...really! I never like to give out 5 star ratings, but they sure do come close to getting one. PS..I really do like to shop here and am not employed by Giant Eagle....Im just an extremely satisfied customer. My own shopping experiences at Giant Eagle Market District have given me cause to recommend them.

Do not go here! They are pushing the mask nonsense again. And they are somehow manipulating their google reviews because my last one has disappeared. And its obvious, look at all of the 5 star reviews with no comment.

When a business tries to monopolize every type of business, they tend to specialize in none. This store is a perfect example of that. Stop in for a Starbucks coffee, one of a hundred beers, or get some dry cleaning done but forget about grocery shopping. If you are lucky enough to complete some shopping, Good Luck checking out in a timely fashion, even if you pretend to work here by using the self checkout.

Its a nice, well kept store. I usually shop at the one in Ben Avon.

As an infrequent shopper I find this store confusing. The grouping of products at the top level is reasonable, but go one level down and you can spend way too long looking for a specific item. It is clean, well lit and has a wide array of goods. With self checkout the wait to cash out is no longer interminable. Get a Giant Eagle card for convenience and discounts. Plenty of parking. Nice carts. Good staff. If you want to just pick up a couple of items it is not a great choice, but for bigger expeditions it is fine.

Wonderful grocery store with lots of selection. However, I usually feel like Im shopping on top of someone because the isles are so close together.

And it was “ Ridiculous” She was miserable about having to do her job but I would be Miserable too if I was in my 60s working at a grocery store. Outside of her I absolutely love the store.

Nice giant eagle. Dont usually shop at this location, so had to wander around to found things, which was fine. They had some good deals. We got mostof the stuff we needed. They didnt. Have the particular brand of cat litter we were looking for. So. Had to go to another giant eagle. Overall good store and will go Again.Definitely recommend.

Early morning shopping is the best, before 8:00. Shelves are stocked, no lines, quick through check out and on your way. Customer Service only opens at 8:00 but deli, bakery, meat open sooner.

Self checkout is lawless wild west and need a big bird card

The variety is unbelievable. Large store with nice people. If they dont have it you probably cant get it elsewhere

Its a very big store and has an Awesome selection of different cuisines, fruits and vegetables, fish, meat, a good bakery, I could go on and on. But, its a bit more expensive than other grocery stores and even other Giant Eagles.

Giant Eagle Waterworks is by far one of the best in the Pittsburgh area. Very close to my home so I love the convenience. ALL areas of this establishment are THOROUGHLY clean, sanitized and neat. Just wish they go back to 24 hour service and probably will after Covid restrictions.

Their produce is always moldy and check expiration dates on everything. They sell things that are expired or expiring the next day. It is convenient that you can get groceries delivered, but dont buy produce. Got moldy raspberries delivered this morning.

Used to love shopping at this location; but now that my boat is docked on the opposite side of the river; its no longer convenient.Today, I went out of my way to pick-up fresh roasted coffee beans...But they dont have them anymore. They are now pre-bagged. 🥺

Good selection of foods, particularly fresh produce. Pretty good mask compliance in my most recent visit, just a couple of noses hanging out, I didnt notice anyone without a mask today

The market district offers everything that you could possibly want or need in a line of groceries, delicatessen, prepared foods, alcoholic drinks, bakery, wide variety of meats and fish prepared and butchered the way that you need. There are plenty of checkout lines to get you through quickly and easily, they also offer pickup and delivery of groceries.

Awesome just need to improve keeping items stock but over all very place to shop

The store is amazing, but was overwhelmed. 1st time there. They have everything except booze.

There are 3 tiers of giant eagle. At the bottom you have the small, been around a long time ones that close every night and youll find in most neighborhoods, the superstore ones like in monroeville that a bigger and better and are 24 hours are the middle runner, and then theres the Market District.It is 24 hours. It has Scan and go which is the best idea Ive ever seen(you scan your advantage card and pick up a scanner in the front, then as your shopping you scan your items as you put them in the cart. At the end you scan the screen at the scan and go stand and it pulls up your entire cart. It has cut ky shopping time down by aroubd 10-15 minutes and I havent had to wait in line to check out ever)These ones are sparse but the put the other two to shame. They have a wider selection of everything. They have more exotic options. They have better produce, meat, and seafood sections. I cant speak for others but this one has a refillable vinegar and olive oil station. A charcuterie section, a bulk nuts/trailmix/candy/coffee section. They have a larger regional(Asian/Mexican etc) selection. They have a beer/wine section-though imo its not the best place to buy if youre familiar with price. They have a lovely floral section, hot foods, antipasta and salad station. Theres a starbucks inside. This is the best grocery store in Eastern Pittsburgh. I should warn you though, once you get used to grocery shopping here, the bottom tier giant eagles are going to do nothing but disappoint.

Stopped by to see a guy named Forest in the pharmacy to get covid shot this guy made this experience to smooth be back in 4wks to buy this guy a BEER

This has to be the worst Giant Eagle in the area. Every time we shop here we cant find half the items on our list. Its like shopping in a poor country. As an example, one day they had no olive oil. And they relabeled the shelves to make it look like they never once sold olive oil ever before.

Love GE its my go to place for daily grocery shopping.

No baggers at all. Bought $200 worth of groceries n had to bag it all while being a single mother trying to control 2 little boys. Then get home look at my receipt n realize they ripped me off$2 . I called n they said they refind my$ but the gas driving bck isnt worth it. I bet this happens quite often. Not a happy experience.
