Ive been coming here ever since I moved to Norcal almost two years ago and its the only place Ill bring my car for general work - I just had the alternator replaced and they checked out my brakes and replaced the pads and fitted brand new rotors for free under warranty, so that was a nice surprise and done no questions asked. Really honest auto shop (a real unicorn!) and friendly people. I gladly travel from Folsom area to this shop. Recommended! 🌟

Good guys. Good price, and they only repair what needs to be done.I thought I needed a knock sensor replaced, once they got down therenit was just a wire that a rat chewed up, saving me $50. Super awesome they called to let me know and didnt just charge me for a part I didnt need.

I have gone here multiple times for various issues including my alternator, my a/c, brakes, shocks and various smaller issues. These guys have always given me a great price, performed quickly and been great communicating what would be done and the cost. I am incredibly pleased, and will continue to do business with them for as long as I drive.

Meh. Expected a 5 star experience and truly got the shaft. I did learn my lesson however... If you want something done, do it yourself. Based on my experience here i should give 1 or 2 stars but ill chalk it up to them having an off day... They didnt even put my engine cover back on. I returned weeks later for it and got lucky but i think an apology wouldve helped the matter. It was like i accused them of something... that they were guilty of... Hmmm... Also they replaced an 02 sensor that did not need replacing. Air fuel ratio is not regulated in rear bank 2... Rear bank 2 monitors the cat.... I had to move the new part to the front location and fixed the code read error myself. I wont be back. And im sure that will please them bc most mechanics prefer numbskulls and opportunities to up sell.

They were friendly, fast, honest and did a great job at fixing my breaks. Only 4 stars because they forgot to check out my power steering problem and were closing in 10 minutes. All in All I would go back again because honesty in a automotive mechanic place is hard to find.

Something I don’t get to say often about a mechanic I don’t personally know but 100 percent honesty put my truck up in the air called out my alignment issue off eye balling 👍 I knew my toe was bad and so did they and offered to get it better to help me on down the road I would recommend J&J to anyone looking for honest work thank y’all for taking a look much appreciated

These guys are fantastic. Some of the friendliest folk youll ever meet, even at the end of a long day. Prices are very competitive and they never seem to be at a loss for info about any problem our vehicle I or my family have brought them. If youre looking for honest folks to get get the job done right, relatively fast and at a good price, look no further. Beware though, their clients are loyal and as such, they are busy and get booked fast! Make an appointment if you can!

An asset. A reliable reasonably priced auto shop is an absolute asset if you dont have a new car. I like not having a car payment and I like my car, so when I need them I use these guys and know they will be honest and fast. I have dabbled with throwing parts on my cars since I was a kid and my dad made me do it, so its easy enough to tell if someone is pulling a fast one or if youre getting hooked up. Ive never left here feeling anything but happy and respected and often like they went the extra mile.I started coming here after my mom went in by herself and they found something that was an easy fix that could have been misinterpreted as needing an expensive part. Not only did it let me know they were honest but it also made me appreciate and like them for hooking my mom up.Id recommend them 100 percent.

Great service! Took my truck in for ac service thinking there was a leak. They topped off the freon, couldnt find a leak and didnt charge me a dime. Unheard of! Will return if I need any further auto repairs.

I recently was in J&J having my oil changed. I called a few places to get a price quote because my car uses expensive oil. Josh quoted me a price that was $10 lower then anyone else. When I came in, the oil change only took 20 minutes and they even checked all of my other fluids and the air pressure in my tires. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a mechanic in Placerville to go see the guys at J&J Auto.
