I tried to not Safeway highly that often because I dont think its a good company to work for. But they have good products and occasionally good prices, just depend on if you want to support them or not because theyre out for themselves. Always long lines I dont know why theyre so many check stands, if they cant have people to be checkers. On this visit I got to over here on worker verbally abusing another worker. Cant say I miss being here.

I enjoy seeing people I know that work here or that I run into from my present or when I was younger and growing up.

Jen Prato who works in a floral department. Did an amazing job on a bouquet of flowers for a friend of mine! I will definitely die back to purchase more flowers from her and at the store.

Its a Safeway what do you expect, it has everything that all the other big Safeway stores have at the same price. Last grocery store while heading north o. 50 until South Lake Tahoe. So at exit 60 on 50 and go 0.15 mile North. At the red stop turned left⁰0⁰

Quick, easy place to grocery shop. Went in for a few things and $145 later came outta there with lots of extras. Never go grocery shopping hungry 😆

I bought 2 steaks that were HUGE(London Broils) and only paid like 21 dollars!! Best buy Ive seen since I was a kid.

Great place to shop... always stocked well... and like the complainers, or whiners more accurate, on here stated... No mask enforcement so you are free to be a free citizen and choose to wear a mask or not... I wish those that said they wouldnt be back would do just that, go somewhere else... Im guessing they are the ones who said theyd leave if Trump was elected president in 2016... but yet here they are... smhMy favorite place to shop for food...

Staff is always super friendly and helpful and the Starbucks beverages made in the store is 7 times more delicious than the near by locations.

Placerville Safeway has a good bakery. The floral department is nice. Produce is good. Staff is nice and for the most part studious.

I love Safeway. Their staff is friendly. They almost always have sale items in stock. Their meat lasts in the fridge a couple days until I use it or freeze it. Unlike the other stores. And their produce is great too. If you take the time to use their app you save more money and earn your rewards. Thank you Safeway.

Looking for a Starbuck which is in the same parking mall but was closed.. Thank goodness for Safeway which has a Starbuck located inside their store.

It was not one of my better times, I couldnt get my phone to show my Safeway app. So I could get my soups for 97I had to pay 1.97 something like that.

Didnt have Pedialite advanced hydration but an employee informed us the truck didnt bring a bunch of stuff and that was one item that wasnt stocked. Besides that great store and staff.

This is a great Safeway. Always clean, friendly staff and always jave what I need.

They have a hard time filling shelves, keeping the inventory you like and some of there newest cashiers are questionable.

Went there to get Easter dinner with my grandson. Was very busy. Staff was courteous and helpful. Line moved quickly.

The lines seem to be quite long with minimal registers open. This may be do to the staffing crisis.

Store is great, customer service is great, CLOSE BEFORE 2!! I believe they still close at 11:00pm, got here at 12:46 and closed.

Ppwer went out everywhere and the employees handled themselves very well.They gently guided us to the checkstands amd redirected incoming traffic.No tomatoes were harmed in this review.To our knowledge.

Staff are always helpful and really extend themselves to meet any out of the ordinary needs one might have. I really appreciate the cart sanitations habit they have. Would like to see the $5 Friday sales improve- theyre not as worthwhile as they had been- last couple months havent been such great deals. Staff attitudes are top notch at our store here tho !!! That is so important anymore with all that everyone is having to cope with in our world right now- thanks so much!! Everyone Take good care of each other!

Nice clean but I think there prices are higher than expected.

Crowded but wider selection of products than the other competitors.

They have a lot if youre just looking for food, and they have organics as well.

Always super busy, management doesnt seem to value employees which trickles down to some of them having bad attitudes.Floral department has great selection and decent prices, always a good stop for last minute gifts.Has consistent items so shopping cam be planned ahead of time. Just wish the parking was better and it wasnt so crowded and the employees seemed happier.

Ive been shopping at Safeway in Placerville for more than 20 years and theyre always friendly and helpful and always a pleasant place to shop!

Great selection but very pricey

Safeway is great. A few shifty folks in the parking lot when you go around closing time 11:00pm. Not a huge deal. Store is clean & not too much turn over so it’s nice to see the same faces each visit. If you do go around closing be prepared for the onslaught of closing announcements over the intercom. “We will be closing in....” Every 5-10 minutes they are saying the same thing during the entire last hour. Tonight when I went they said “ we will be closing strictly at 11:00pm...” Strictly....really? Doesn’t make you feel very appreciated for being a customer. Overall though, they are good.

Always a wonderful experience. Lines were a little bit of a wait. Very clean and people were wearing their masks. Would recommend making this your hometown market.

Great service, very well stocked, helpful employees. I do floral design and some times the flowers dont last even long enough to complete my design. When I take them back they always replace them.

Friendly staff and decent selection. Be careful in the parking lot. Cars get broken into sometimes. Don’t leave anything in sight from the windows.

Warm and friendly, always clean and always has everything I need for food. Associates are knowledgeable, welcoming, and helpful.

Second best deli in town, some of the cheapest gas in town before discounts, and best of all you didnt have to go all the way downtown to go shopping!

Lines are always to long. They never have enough cashiers working. The bagels and donuts are dry and for some reason the bagels are rarely out before 8am. Safeway prices are on the higher end. The long lines make it not worth the prices

Love this store, everything is always fresh, and the prices are exceptionally great too.

The place is well run. Most staff are great. This place is really busy. Lines all the time. Lines are not from bad management or service but because its well stocked and maintained. They do have a person in the deli that isnt great. Not sure her name but she is abrupt and short with her help. Slow and abrasive.

Everytime I go here LOTS of people are without masks. Ive seen people touching their eyes and stuff too. In protest, I wont be shopping here again until the pandemic is over 🤭

We sat outside, a bit warm out. Took a bit longer for food than i would like. Food quality and flavor good.

Over a dozen maskless customers. No attempt from management to enforce pandemic protocols. Wont be back.

I feel that the Safeway in Placerville is a great store, but it was crowded with people shopping for the upcoming holiday. Everyone was wearing a mask and trying to social distance.

The store was clean and had what I needed. My complaint with this visit was that there seemed to be a lot of labels missing from the shelves in the deli, which meant that you would have to touch items to get a look at the item description and/or price. Seems like the wrong practice right now with germophobia being in style. I will give them this: They were doing a great job of wiping down all of the carts before you grabbed them to take into the store. They also had alternating one-way-only markings on the aisles to attempt to keep people from stuffing themselves past each other. Current events withholding, Id say its a great store to visit again.

Pandemic has everyone scrambling so it can get a little crazy but staff iz prepared so lm always satisfied and secure with my experience.....!!

The cashiers were very helpful when I had a bag left behind thshopping. The cashiers were very helpful and friendly.

The deli is by far the best around

Not blaming the employees of the store. However, there was no social distancing and a large portion of shoppers were not wearing masks. This made the shopping feel uncomfortable. I would not have stopped here if I had known.

Clean store with nice wide aisles.

This Safeway serves several surrounding towns so it is usually pretty busy in the afternoon and weekends. Their lines are generally long and I feel like they are always one cashier down at their peak times. Other than that, the store is clean and their staff is always friendly

Most importantly, they seem to be complying with covid-19 safety precautions. Hand sanitizer and cart wipes at the front door, and I saw people using them. It looked like employees were all wearing masks. Bathroom could have been cleaner. I dont understand why grocery store bathrooms are always so filthy.

My experience with Safeway tonight was excellent everything was well stocked people are well-mannered and everyone was wearing masks like it was supposed to thank you

The parking lot could use a good cleaning, but other than that, they have what you need.
