Bad customer service with Manager! We went back-and-forth for 10 minutes on phone trying to figure out what I needed. I was ordering redwood bark & he said only option was “shredded” redwork bark. I told him I did not know what shredded was but his answer was it’s bark. Made no effort to look up previous order and took no responsibility for not making sure I got correct product-although I made it clear I didn’t know what he was selling me. He should not be in Customer Service.

This place is amazing. They always donate to the local schools and they are very generous and community oriented! Very good place to get almost anything (material-wise) that you can think of! Very reasonable prices, too.

These have been my GO TO guys for rock - gravel - mulching material and cement. Always get great service and a fair price whether I pick it up or they deliver. Going over there tomorrow to order 4 yards of rock for my roadway and they will deliver same day...love these guys.

I gave Tom the measurements for the job I was doing. I now find out the material delivered is twice the amount I need. Of course theyre never going to take back this excess material. So Im now stuck with getting rid of this heavy and not needed rock.

Needed a specific gravel product for landscaping. The guys were helpful and eager to deliver, both orders seven months apart, same great same day delivery. Even though my orders were small, they treated me with respect and gave advice on driveway maintenance. I will order from Sierra in the future for transfer loads and smaller dump loads.

Steve and the crew at Sierra are incredible. Not only did they find the specific materials and special order them but they also accepted a shipment of soil amendments when another supplier couldn’t get their truck down my street! Top notch service and people who care. I can’t imagine ever needing to work with anyone else. Thank you!!!

I bought plenty of rock over the past 38 years in El Dorado County and the best driver Ive ever had was Bert who delivered a couple transfers in June of 2017. He did an excellent job spreading the rock and I received more rock than I expected. I know who Ill call in the future.

My husband called your company and asked how much rock he could get delivered that day and the girl said a few different load sizes but the biggest was 12 yards. She did not say your company can deliver More at one time IF he waits a couple days or that IF he needs more there are better cost effective options.We ordered 12 yards and are Very confident we did NOT get 12 yards. But no resolution or partial refund.1st call after Delivery: Nancy answered. I explained how my husband saw your limited time savings of 5% ad and that you meet or beat most competitors pricing and he thought you guys would have his best interest at heart & that he would be getting fair prices and good information.Nancy said the website does Not say you meet or beat prices - it may say you meet but Not beat and was Very rude & snotty about that behaving as though I was lying.Then Nancy said it is Not her fault we didn’t look around Before choosing you guys! Placing blame solely on us for Not choosing another cheaper company or Making Sure they Price Matched or Making Sure they Informed us of Cost Effective Load SizesI, also, explained that as customers we are Not experts in this trade and we do not know about certain yards being different prices and that as a courtesy we should have been informed on what size load would be More Cost Effective - Nancy said whoever takes the order Does inform the customers of what is more cost effective.* The man, Tom, who I spoke to when I called again to check if owner was in said the Opposite, I’ll go over that below.I called a 2nd time to get the Owner InformationTom Answered and was rude immediately and brought up our order and the situation despite me ONLY calling back to get OWNER INFORMATION.At one point Tom said why do I need to tell the customer what’s more cost effective?? That’s not my job!Tom Acknowledged the girl who placed the order did not discuss with my husband about any other cost effective options like how a full 16 yards (he interrupted with you mean 18 yards?) is not much more and how during the weekend it is “landscaping” prices according to Tom and that’s why it was so high.And he reiterated how it is not their job to help us get a good deal!No one informed us of Other cost effective options regarding load size or timing of the delivery. And when I called this morning this was my MAIN issue but;None of your employees demonstrated empathy or even Understanding at Any moment. None of them took responsibility for anything or their parts.NANCY AND TOM blatantly mistreated me, told me I was Wrong even though I have Screenshots of your website and google ad.I never said anything to your employees other than trying to discuss the situation that happened. Nancy and Tom were Defensive and rude right from the start.Every customer should be valued and be treated properly. Employees should be respectful, considerate and informative so their customer can get the Best Experience with your company.It encourages repeat customers and many customers do have multiple projects.I hope you can resolve this issue in a fair manner and make up for my mistreatment by your employees.I would like to be Able to leave a Positive review for your company on Facebook, Yelp, Google and Angie’s List.TIM the OWNER did NOT resolve the issue & was Not much better than his employees.He told me he couldn’t do anything for the order we already made and all he could do was tell his employees to be nice when I called.Then when I mentioned reviewing them on all the places Above he said he can offer a discount on our Next order with them and will base the discount amount on the load size.He did not even Acknowledge the Possibility of being shorted!

Crooks, flat out. I read the bad reviews, but no one else local was available and I needed a gravel drop. So I called them and they sent out a load, out poured about 7.5 to 8 yards of a 12 yard order and the truck was empty. I said it was short, the guys with me said it was short and even their driver called in and asked why it was short. Tom tried to sell everyone it was a full load, wouldnt send the rest or refund me the shortage. Today I had Hasties drop a he exact same size load of th exact same 1 inch round stone, it looked nearly double. So trust the reviews before you end up paying nearly $100 a yard fo gravel like I did. Plus Im sure they will resell what they skimmed for pure profit. Dont give these guys any business, the only thing worse than their weigh is their customer service.

BEWARE. Sierra Landscape Material in PLacerville delivered Top soil to my house a caused $3000 worth of damage to my property. The owner Tim said not my problem. take your money somewhere else.

I ordered 6 yards of topsoil and after it was delivered, called to ask if there was an order for 3 yards that might have been sent on my truck with my order going elsewhere. The man was immediately VERY defensive even though I was only asking if the loads might have been sent to the wrong place. Steve the weighmaster, very proud of his title, considers anyone elses opinion worthless unless theyre a weighmaster. My son in law worked in construction for years and said it looked like half what 6 yards looks like, if that much. Ive also had several yards at a time delivered here on different occasions and the only loads Ive had that were close to this in size were when I ordered only 3 yards.His extreme and immediate defensiveness, rudeness and hostility indicated to me that he knew just what was going on: That he is sending out short orders so he can resell whats left over, and knew that hed been caught in the act. The man is obviously a thief who is selling materials and delivering half what is paid for, then selling the same material thats already been paid for again. Ill never deal with these thieves again and strongly urge everyone to do the same. Unless you like being cheated, stolen from and treated rudely and hostilely. This man should have his weighmasters certificate revoked and be sent to prison for his theft.
