We had Cedar Mountain replace our old PVC fence that was barely hanging on by a thread (quite literally had bungee cords holding parts of it together). They did a great job, worked quickly, and the fence looks great.Only outstanding issue is a repair needed to the gate, but they are aware and that should be completed soon.

They did a great job. We love our new fence! They took the time to listen to exactly what we needed as we had some special requests. They left the property clean and made sure to contact us after the job was done to make sure everything was to our liking.

First let me say fence looks great and install in 4 hours incredible very impressed by this,,,, so that’s about where that ends . Eight foot section of fence was not installed because of HOA regulations I called Ceder mountain about this in April they say no problem you will be refunded after the install that was pushed back 4 times . Finally fence was installed today 5/28/2021 and of course they bill me full price without the 8ft section discount off . Now they say fence is custom ordered and they can refund me $30 cause the sections are useless !!!! you are kidding right . If fences are custom order and you can’t use it why did you give away my fence 2 times cause my permit was delayed in April. Why did you order it after I told you I couldn’t use it . So if you are going to use this company and have to make changes get it in writing and re quoted hand shake and trust is not this company thing go the legal way . Basically lies and that’s fine not going to make it break me but you are getting this review again fence looks great but let’s face it I was lied to about the 8ft section being removed from the start .

Cedar Mountain came out to remove our old fence and install a new 6 privacy fence. We are very pleased with the results! They were very easy to work with and responsive. We had a couple of minor issues with the installation, but they came back out within two days to fix what we wanted and didnt leave until we were happy. Would definitely recommend Cedar Mountain Fence Company!

Everyone was courteous and professional starting with the person that sent us the estimate and ending with the great crew that performed the installation. A huge shoutout to everyone in the office that fielded my questions and put my anxiety at ease. Barely any marks on the lawn and they took away all the debris. Very pleased with the results.

I absolutely would not use this company!!! The sales rep Steve, who is actually the owner of the company, has terrible customer service and does not respond to his customers or their concerns. Had our fence installed and the crew did a very poor quality job along with having panels that were bowing with large gaps in our fence. It took weeks for Steve to respond. The communication between Steve, his installers, and receptionist is beyond poor. There is no communication between anyone in the company. When we were finally able to speak with someone regarding our concerns, we told them that we wanted to be home when they came to fix the fence,( which was over a month later after repeated calls to the company) said they would call us back, which they never did!! Next thing you know, the following Monday my husband gets home to find their crew working on our fence to extend it, which is NOT what we wanted or discussed on the phone! (The whole reason why we wanted to be home and were awaiting a phone call back) The crew also had no idea on any of the other issues with the fence that were to be fixed. Luckily my husband stopped them before the fence was installed wrong AGAIN!! DO NOT use this company unless you desire poor quality work and customer service.

I have been calling to set up an estimate. I left message no one called back. Missed the call when he did call. He left message so i called back and message. So this time i decided to push 2 saying i was a customer and this lady answered the phone and told us to find another company. How rude. So we took her advice. If i was you i would too

Our fence is in and does look nice, however the process to get there isn’t easy.It just felt like a very “hands-off” approach to this once we put down our deposit. The guy that did the estimate was not easy to contact with questions so those usually went through the office. Even then it still took a week for me to confirm with Cedar Mountain that the style they quoted was the correct one specified by the HOA.Then, on the day of the install I was told I didn’t have to be around. I stuck around just to watch them get started and I’m glad I did because they pulled me outside three different times to verify placement. After that I left for work but noticed our WiFi devices at the house were disconnected. No big deal since I knew cutting Comcast lines was common.I come home just to double check that nothing else was clipped and I find the crew dug post holes 20 feet past the planned border. The crew said “no big deal, extra fence” but the plan we had was approved by the village and HOA so we couldn’t deviate. Now we have several post holes filled in with dirt and aggregate that need to be re-seeded. They also left enough wood plugs, scraps, and planks in our yard and fire pit to fill several 5-gallon buckets. It’s a fire pit, but this wood cannot be used for backyard fires the way it was cut. And the sizing.They did offer to re-seed and send a crew out to get the wood but after the confusion and the state they left our backyard in I would rather take care of it myself.

Have not gotten a call back regarding these issues. They didnt even bring the correct door post, had to use and mock up one from the panels for my door. They said once this fence goes up theres no way its coming down, strong product yet two rails so far has come off the post. They dont meet them in the middle so they wont slide off, if they did the installation correct working from left to right and met them in the middle it would have never came off. But as you can see in the photos they just pinched it outward so it catches the rail, sloppy..you can tell they knew it would slide off, if not why pinch the rails out?? I didnt think I would have to babysit the crew. But I guess I should have. Panels are bowing looking like a bannana, they have not even reached out after numerous calls and text messages with photos.. take a look for your self. Paid over 15k for this

They illegally put a fence on my property without my consent. My neighbor purchased the fence so it should have went on his, however by the owners poor judgment in not knowing that he had sprinkler heads an inch off the property line they put the fence in on my property without my written permission. They also originally gave a quote for $490 for a 6ft fence, (tried calling 4 times to confirm they could do it) then after they installed the fence I got another quote for $700 for a 4ft fence in the same area. I called several times to work this out by being proactive and so did my neighbor. 4 times I called and my neighbor called and texted 3 times but the arrogant owner would not answer so now I called the city to have it moved and Im also filing a complaint with the BBB and possible legal action.I have also uploaded the estimates, so everyone can see how they bait and switch. They dont return there phone calls 4 TIMES before all this happened is why it came to this. The Owner Steve doesnt know how to communicate as you can see by all the other reviews. They also have fake reviews on google to boost up there score if you go down the list and look at all the reviews anyone with the last name GEORGOPULOS is a relative of the owner. I have also added some pictures of the quality of the fence material they use after less than 2 weeks. And by the way I was not outside until my fence was already torn out of the ground. And finally they mention I threaten them and they decided not to put up my fence, it was the other way around. Plus he used profanity at me saying I was an a**.

I called this company to ask about their fence repair and the person verily rudely said We dont . I then told the rep it says on your website you do, but okay and there was no effort to clarify. He responded again in a very careless tone - mhm.. goodbye and hung up.

We had a great experience with the company. Back in April they came out for the quote (within a couple days of my online request), very friendly and reasonable, similar in price to most of the quotes we got. They had texting ability for customer service (my text goes to their email) that made communication super easy, and they were quick to respond. We were the problem child, as our sod wasn’t in yet and the builders kept pushing it back so we had to keep changing our date. They squeezed us in on a Saturday morning and did a great job! No mess left behind, fence looks wonderful. We have 3 gates and all work great. No problem boards that we’ve seen yet. Very pleased with the fence, glad we did our research and went with them!

Quality installation. Made sure the fence was tight against the house and our neighbors fence so our dogs can’t get loose. Gate lock has a key lock which was a pleasant surprise. They will work with you and figure out a plan.

Cedar Mountain Fence has done a fantastic job on my familys home. They came in and removed our old, deteriorating 4 picket fence. Replaced it with a 6 privacy rolling arch, complete with extra large posts. This gave the extra protection we needed. All of this was completed in one day. Our backyard was transformed. The sales rep walked us through step by step with the process from start to finish. Fence installation is a major project for any home, its a major decision. What we felt stood out among other fence companies was their persistence. Making us feel that our project was important, not just another job.We were glad we chose Cedar Mountain for privacy and security to our home .

John was a pleasure to work with. A simple clerical issue occurred and an entire 8 panel of fence didnt get installed. While they were slammed busy through the summer months, John and his entire family owned team didnt forget about me. He personally came back, fixed the very small issue and all is well! His crew were fast and efficient as well.

Approximately two weeks ago I scheduled an appointment with Cedar Mountain Fence Company. I called the company the morning of the appointment to confirm it. The scheduler confirmed my appointment. I waited an hour after the scheduled appointment before I called the office to state that the estimator never showed. STEVE, the OWNER, of the company did not call or show up for the appointment. There are other complaints posted on this site from people who experienced the same behavior on the part of Cedar Mountains estimators. The owner is unprofessional and apparently does not need new business.

Really hate to leave a negative review for a locally owned company like this but I cant recommend working with them. We had a vinyl fence installed this past December, and while the fence itself is mostly good, communication and responsiveness have been a headache from the start. It takes 3-4 attempts and usually a week or more to get a response from the owners. Both of the gates they installed have had problems soon after installation. One was fixed after many requests, the other is still awaiting repair, and I dont feel I should need to harass someone for months for what I believe will be a quick and simple follow-up, especially since I already referred my neighbor to the company. In retrospect, knowing what I know now, I would have chosen a different company even if it cost a bit more.

We are more than HAPPY with Cedar Mountain Fence Company !! The fence looks perfect. The installers did an amazing job and they cleaned up every little thing and hauled it away like they werent even there. Ill also add that they did repairs to an existing fence that wasnt installed by them.. no questions asked. I would highly recommend this company.

Do not use this company! WRONG FENCE INSTALLED WHEN WE WERE ON VACATION AFTER EXPLICIT INSTRUCTIONS FOR US TO BE PRESENT. Originally told by Tom, the sales man, that our fence would be tentatively installed the week of June 12. Called this company third week in May to tell them we had not received building permit yet and to hold off scheduling installation date until they heard back from us. Went on vacation where we had limited cell phone reception. Between June 5 and June 8 they sent two texts to our phone stating they were installing our fence June 9. Being in cell phone range finally on June 8, we read these texts and immediately texted back do not install the fence while we were out of town. On June 9 our credit card company alerted us that we had been charged the final payment by Cedar Mountain company without our authorization. We immediately called their office and spoke to Gina who verified that despite our wishes expressed two different times, the fence had been installed on our property without us being home and that our credit card was used without our authorization. A heated conversation ensued understandably with Gina hanging up on us, the customer. IT DOESNT END THERE. Upon our return on June 11, we see that they installed the WRONG FENCE. After numerous phone requests and two no-shows to solve this problem, the owner Steve finally showed up. Again after us initiating many follow through phone calls to him to come to some sort of resolution, we finally accepted his 20% refund and ended up with a fence we don’t even like. IT DOESNT END THERE. The installers had dropped a green tape measure in our yard which then upon mowing our grass two days after installation our lawnmower ran over it and required a $200 repair. Also while we were out of town the installers, without authorization, chopped limbs off of two trees in our backyard and left the limbs and branches behind the fence in our neighbor’s backyard. Additionally the dirt and cement left behind from the installation and plants ruined by trampling was unacceptable. IT DOESNT END THERE. Upon closer examination of this fence, we found boards that were warped and boards that were not nailed down and a gate latch that did not work. Again, after a phone call to this company to send someone out to repair these problems an appointment was made which ended up being a no-show requiring us to call yet again to find out why no one showed up. Do not make the same mistake we made. We wish we had read the terrible reviews before we chose this company.

Decided to use this company based on the many good reviews. Many other fence places have mediocre reviews for pretty consistent things so I felt like it was a good choice going with Cedar Mountain. We had a time crunch given we moved into a house in May, during the busy season, and needed a fence ASAP since we have 2 dogs. They were able to squeeze me in between jobs which I thought was great given how busy summer is. Very competitive pricing too. I wouldn’t hesitate calling them if I had an issue since their communication is very good.

Amidst the Covid 19 pandemic and having to work from home, I needed a new fence installed for our 16 month old puppy for my sanity. He could climb the old wooden fence so I couldnt just leave him in the back yard. I reached out online to four different companies after I found out I would have to wait until after the stay at home order was lifted from the one company I planned on having install the fence. My mantra is that everything happens for a reason and I hit this one out of the park finding Cedar Mountain Fence Company. J.P. called me the evening after I filled out the online form and I was able to schedule someone to come out two days later and give me a quote. Because they worked with me to set up financing, I was able to get the fence we wanted and did not have to settle for something just to have a fence put up. We were scheduled for two weeks out for installation. They assisted with applying for the permit, and as it turned out move my installation up by 4 days. The crew of four arrived at my house alittle early and started right in. It truly was facinating to watch. Two were working to take down the old fence while two were digging holes for the new fence. They completed the job in 7 hours and my new fence is beautiful. I would highly recommend Cedar Mountain fence to anyone in the market for a fence.

Cant comment on quality of product but we Scheduled appointment for an estimate and were supposed to get a confirmation call closer to the day and nothing. The day came and we didnt hear anything from them, called them in the afternoon and were told that the guy who does estimates is out of town and that we would be getting an email with the a rough estimate, two days later and we still didnt get anything tried calling again and got hung up on.

The work was done swiftly with attention to detail. My fence looks beautiful and I definitely got what I paid for!

We had them install a 6’ fence this past December on our property. They did a great job, installed fast and had good communication throughout the project. They also had the better price, when compared to other companies. I even recommended them to my mom.The only thing they can improve on is their install team left some coffee cups and cans in our yard. I didn’t think it was that big of a deal because they finished at 7:00 at night and it was dark outside.

Cedar Mountain just finished installing a fence at my new house in Naperville and they did a fantastic job! Steve and Jenny were great to work with, very responsive and could not have made my family (and dogs) more happy. I would recommend Cedar Mountain to anyone looking for a new fence.

Used cedar mountain 3 times now for different fences. The owner went out of his way to accommodate what I wanted. Solid work and really nice people.

Had a partial replacement fence put in 3/17 installers left large holes in yard and had to call to have them come back and fill, still did not fill properly had to do myself! Noticed cracked and damaged boards day later and Steve said they would replace them. After repeated contact for several months he said he came out in 7/17 and replaced boards when I wasnt home? I see no difference and the boards I wanted replaced originally were never replaced as promised. What company services clients when they are not home? Now 4 months later, several boards are splintering and the posts are splitting down the middle! Steve claims that it is normal for industry standard cedar to do that..... I dont think they are using quality materials because we have neighbors with similar style fences and theirs are not splitting years after installation.Chose this company based on their reviews, guess you cant always rely on that, maybe spending $2500 isnt enough for quality job!Definitely would not recommend.

We had a vinyl fence installed installed about 3 weeks ago and we are very unhappy with the gates (we have 3) They swing the opposite way we had before and the lock is on the outside and not in the yard. We have tried calling and leaving messages and no one is calling back. After spend almost 9k on a fence, I would expect a little better customer service.If you are looking for a fence, I would look elsewhere. The men that installed our fence left holes in our yard that we had to fill ourselves and about 15 5 nails that they used to mark the lot were left in the grass and in my neighbors lawn.We gave Cedar Mountain a try for being a local family business and its a shame they dont call their customers back.

I love my fence from Cedar Mountain. A fence for a huge yard is an investment but with 3 dogs is a necessary one. I interviewed 4 companies and nobody came close to Cedar Mountain for price, professionalism, and quality. This is a local family owned company and they take pride in their work.

My parents finally retired and moved out of the big city onto a property near Elgin. The fence around the property was old and in bad shape so we brought three different contractors in to give us an estimate. We ended up going with Cedar Mountain Fence Company and Im glad we did. They repaired old fence, added some new fencing, painted it all up and it looks brand new. Very nice job. Highly recommend.

Just like all the other negative reviews, their product may be good, but the customer service and speed is disgraceful and very inconvenient. I ordered my fence in August, and it took them 3-4 months to get the permit. Not because my town wouldn’t give it, but because they don’t do anything unless you call them and hassle them. They never call back, you have to keep calling for them to do anything or give you an answer. They were very inconvenient to me and I would not use them again given other good fence companies out there.

Update to my prior review, had a great experience in they’re slow time. Once I called back for more repairs during spring they said they would call me back several times and never did, I guess my few post replacements were not important anymore now that they are busy. Don’t recommend anymore
