I went into Value City Furniture to look at lift chairs. I have shopped several places and they were all over $2,000. I found one there for $800! It has all of the features I want: lumbar support, head rest adjustment, even heat! Jonathan was my sales associate and he was incredibly helpful. My opinion of this store has completely changed!

Even in this unpredictable year, the staff at this store made finding the perfect furniture for my new home so much less stressful. The store manager went above and beyond making sure I got the best delivery dates possible. There was one piece that was being delayed for 6 months just for one part. So he called around (after hours) and got another store to send him that piece so I didn’t have to wait. That item will now arrive with most of my other furniture. The only item I’m waiting on is one that is made when ordered. Not bad in this unprecedented time! After all the horror stories I’ve heard this year, I was pleasantly surprised with this outcome! My sales associate, Jonathan, was also a pleasure to work with. He made the process run smoothly and made sure we were taken care of from start to finish. It was a busy Labor Day weekend for the store, but the customer service I received did not show that at all. They all were rockstars!

We had the pleasure of working with Johnathan while wondering around the showroom searching for our new living room set. He was very helpful, honest, knowledgeable and efficient. I would recommend both Johnathan and Value City to anyone who asked.

I just stopped in to browse the store as I was just beginnng to look for some new living room and dining room furniture. After entering the store and browsing for a few minutes, I was very kindly approached by Randy Poynter asking if there was anything he could help me with and to let him know if I had any questions. After talking with him for a couple of minutes and letting him know what I was looking for, he proceeded to let me browse while checking in on me every now and then. He ended up helping me get approved as well as get my new furniture ordered that day. I didn’t want to let the opportunity of HIM helping me if I waited for another day. We were here over Labor day weekend and they very busy.We already knew what we wanted but decided to look at similar items so we could compare.Once we were ready to purchase, we still walked around because all the associates were helping other customers.Jonathan had just finished up and he helped us with some assistance from another Associate. While he was helping us, another customer came up to ask for help. He directed her to to the proper area and got us sorted out.Our items are on order so heres hoping they come within a few months and in good shape.

My fiance and I came to see about a sofa and a dresser, we found a good sofa to our liking and the process to buy and hold it for pickup was very easy. Jonathan was very nice and accommodating, and greeted us when we walked in. Very nice service and would greatly consider coming back if we are need of anything again!

Randy was extremely helpful and listened intently about the style of furniture I was looking for. I highly recommend him as your sales consultant. He is there everyday except Mondays and Tuesdays.

They will bullsh— you about your delivery date, ordered in spring and still haven’t received my furniture in the FALL. Why sell stuff that you don’t & won’t have? The floor salesman only want to make a sale just because that’s how they get paid but they didn’t want to help us in the store for the first 30 mins we were inside they seen us a million times and even seen us come in, I’m not going to play the race card but as soon as a couple not of color came in behind us they were greeted and helped expeditiously and they weren’t even buying, we were on-site buyers. The only reason I’m even considering one star is cause I really liked the furniture that I ordered.

We just had the most pleasurable experience ever in the history of purchasing anything where dealing with sales personnel are involved! We walked in the Plainfield location and literally looked for about five minutes, was offered assistance, when we replied we are just looking for now, instead of getting pressured, we were advised to just grab any of the sales people when we were ready and anyone could help us. We asked a general delivery question to the man who offered help and from there we were done with our purchases of a complete bed, complete living room set, and saved money in less than 30 min! Ordered chairs, said Id pick them up. After 2 months, They call and say only 1 chair is available for pick up & other will be in 2 weeks later. I make arrangements for pick up, get home and the chair is broken. They say bring it back and well fix it on site. I get it back to the store, now the story is drop it off and give us a few days. So still sitting on milk crates. No chair. NEVER AGAIN!!.

We had been waiting for almost a year to get our new Family Room furniture delivered from a competitor. We were finally fed up waiting and went to VCF in Plainfield. Sales people were great, delivery team was awesome AND we got our furniture when promised. Were now fans of VCF and will absolutely return in the future.

Delivery Team was great!! VCF sucked in its communication and timeliness of getting me the product, I purchased in March 2021 and was guaranteed a May delivery, that got pushed back to August, and one item is still outstanding until October 2021

Our sales person was so patient with the time I took to pick my new furniture. I changed my mind many times during my search through the store. I was loud take all the time I needed, which was considerable. The following day, I had changed my mind again about my purchase. My sales person was completely understanding. He re-did my entire purchase receipt with my new changes. Not even so much as an ‘eye roll’. Thanks Kris Carrington and VCF!

I have always had successful service with value city. Their furniture is pretty nice and good in quality, and the salesman was honest and upfront with me from the get go. 100% recommend this company. All of the locations are pretty good.

Spent 30 minutes browsing without getting acknowledged by staff, after find and picking out a new couch with my fiancee we wondered around looking for a free salesperson, couldnt find one so we went to the office area and asked for them to page someone to assist us with buying the couch. Queue waiting another 10 min as she scrambles around and finds someone to help us. She comes walking back with a man and neither of them acknowledge us, and as the man approaches and Im about to greet him he goes to ask other customers if they needed help. Not sure if they didnt want to help us because my fiance and I are under 30 but it felt insulting having to wait so we just walked out. They lost out on a few thousand dollars

The three gentlemen were absolutely professional and well mannered. The room in which the couch I purchased is located is a very tough place to get to, but they figured it out with proper ingenuity. I will definitely recommend this place, as well as return in the future.

Friendly sales staff. Friendly delivery people. The quality of the furniture is very good for the money. We have a couple issues with the items we received, but I am certain they will make it right.I understand there is a supply chain issue. Im glad we got our furniture. Its better than sitting on the floor. Its been about a 3 month wait. We knew there would be a long wait when we bought it. This was explained up front. We are still waiting on a couple things to arrive. I know that isnt their fault. They are doing the best they can. I would still recommend them. I bought from one of the competitors in the same price range last time. I would still buy Value City over them in the future even with the few things that werent completely smooth.Overall experience was satisfying. I think it is just the way things are right now. Over demand under supply.

If they do not have what you want in stock do not waste your time ordering it from them. We ordered a couch in November and they gave us a date in January for pickup. In January they called and said it would not be in until February. Then they stopped calling me and I had to call them to get updates. In February I called and they said it would be March 12. Then March 31. Then April 7. I called on April 7 and they said it would be April 20. I ended up just canceling the purchase at that point. Don’t waste 5 months with them like I did.

I had a good concept of this store, until I made my first purchase, we made it in November and still, at the end of March, they have not finished delivering the order, I understand the situation regarding the virus, but initially they promised the order for December, and the attention and the responsiveness regarding my order, has been terrible. Initially they gave me a table with only two chairs, the rest have scheduled the delivery the last two opportunities and they have not arrived and they have not even called me to say the reasons. It is not the time to buy that store they have no delivery capacity and neither the responsibility to face their customers.

Awesome experience! We came in for a coach we saw a few weeks ago, but saw an awesome deal on a sale unit. Randy was easy to work and made the shopping experience awesome! Could not recommend shopping here more.

We had some trouble originally with a cushion not arriving with our original purchase. With Covid pushing shipments back and a foam shortage they could not give us a definite answer to when it would be delivered. I talked with the store manager (Nathan), he was absolutely professional and understanding. He saw my perspective and understood my side of things. He told me to come into the store when he was working and he would make everything right. My wife and I went in that day, got a full refund, picked out a new couch and even got a discount on the new couch because of the inconveniences we had gone through (which were not necessarily caused by his store). He one hundred percent made this better and the experience great! At first we were slightly disappointed with the circumstances of the cushion, but thank you to Nate we will be back to give this store our business in the future!

We had a great experience with VCF in Plainfield. Randy was so helpful and personable. He was excellent to work with and very knowledgeable. We had been looking all over for patio furniture, and we were impressed by what VCF had. The delivery was very quick and easy; it arrived on the day we scheduled it in the store. I would definitely buy from VCF again and work with Randy.

My grandparents have been waiting since may for a delivery that they place in March and have still yet to get it due to “delays in foam and some other bs” “COVID” with no real answer when it’s going to be delivered. It’s now the end of July with a new date of by the end of aug. I will be calling corporate about this. Nothing is being done at the store level. Will not be returning here for any feature furniture. Buyer beware!!!!!!

The staff was professional and very helpful. While what I was looking was not in stock I was provided a great substitute within my budget! When I advised my deadline to have the items in home, I was provided with the worse case scenario for delivery. Luckily I received my items within a week of my order! I am so excited and grateful.

Today I went into the Value City Furniture store and I so happen to meet a young lady by the name of Kelli which was our customer service rep. Her attitude was phenomenal. And because of attitude we bought Living room set And a dinette set. We were on our way to Ashleys Furniture Store but Kellys attitude was so good that we went no farther. And weve texted and called other family members that may need things and we all will ask for Kelli. GOAT-that is her title from us.

My wife and I bought a new table and chairs that we found on clearance in the store and to be honest got quite a steal on it. Right place right time. The only issue we had was that the table and chairs upon delivery were not wrapped which opened up the possibility of scratches/damage in the shipping process. As such, we are storing the set for two months while our home is being built and having it wrapped would have been nice. Outside of that, I have no complaints. The service in the store was good and like I said we got a great deal on the furniture. As such, the delivery guys whom were I believe privately contracted were pretty nice guys and carried the furniture around the back of our home to store in our storage shed. Thought that was pretty cool of them as they didnt have to do that.If youre in the market for some new pieces, I recommend you stop in and check them out. May find a great deal(s) like we did.

The staff at the Plainfield value city are wonderful. We went in last weekend to look at couches and Randy Poynter was so helpful and answered all our questions. The whole process was quick and easy. They have great deals too.

The Value City/Acceptance Now Staff was friendly, very helpful and most importantly knowledgeable and informative. We absolutely loved our Sales Representative, Larry. He assisted us w/the purchase of our bedroom furniture. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic of COVID-19, the delivery of our the pieces was scheduled several weeks out. Excited once the furniture arrived, but disappointed to see cracks, nicks and scratches on the Head and Footboards. Furniture arrived yesterday. We called the store to complain to a manager and resolve the issue, but havent received a response yet. Were hopeful and expectant, they will follow through accordingly.

I had a great experience at the Plainfield Value City. Mindi Johnson was our consultant. She was great to work with. She was very patient with me which I appreciated. I’m glad she let me try out the mattress and the bed. Had I gone on my own, I would need to get a stool ladder to climb into bed. I got my delivery on time. Curtis was the driver. He and his crew were super polite and set up my bed the way I like it. I will definitely buy from this store again.

Overall a very positive experience. The salesman was very knowledgeable about the products in the store and listened to me. Value city customer service has been wonderful. Haven’t liked waiting on furniture but it’s currently like that everywhere. Both deliveries have been on time and delivery men have been very polite and done a great job. Still waiting on one more delivery. Didn’t get 5 stars because I have a little nick at bottom of gentleman’s chest and my name is spelled wrong on card after me mentioning it was wrong & is why took me so long to get approved and application process didn’t go so smoothly. Other than that highly satisfied so far.

Product is good quality overall ( heavy, solid wood ), but it took over 6 months to get delivered & once delivered, there is wear to the finish on one of the chairs, bad craftsmanship on the finish on the table edge & slight damage to metal on 1 other chair.

I have been using value city furniture for years and have spent thousands of dollars here. I will never be using them again. It has been a horrible experience this last time and it seems to never end. We bough a sectional and a large dining set with 8 chairs in November. We recieved the sofa and table shortly before Christmas. We were told we would be receiving the chairs in January and then received a call saying February then in February was told March. Then of course in March Im told May. I finally get really upset and threaten to get my money back. Then I get a call saying they will get them as soon as this week. I called back after receiving the voicemail and the lady was so rude. She acted like I had no business calling them and that was the last straw for me. I was expecting to get my chairs tomorrow but got a call last night saying I will only get 5. The other 3 will not be till May. They havent offered us any compensation and it all seems really shady. I have wasted over 4 months waiting on chairs for a dinnjng set I paid for in full back in November. I am so done and I suggest anyone thinks twice before buying anything from them. They are nice in the store till they get your money then its downhill from there. They shouldnt be selling things they dont have /cant get in stock.

Okay so it’s been 3months that I order a couch and they said it will be in on June to pick up I just got off the phone with the lady who sounded Miserable with her job which I didn’t like how she was responding to me, well at least she said she was sorry for the wait but she told me till July my Couch will arrive I’m hoping that it will arrive this month if not I’m canceling the purchase and get my money back 😏 I don’t see why I need to wait for this long it should of been ready already and If I do get the couch this month I just hope it’s in good condition and the original quality I don’t want to be disappointed cause I’ve been waiting and waiting 😏

A shout out to David and Curtis who handily delivered and set-up the Value City Florence queen bed for us. Having been a customer service manager for years, I compliment both for their friendliness and cheerful attitude plus more! They took care moving the bed pieces into and through our home, and were efficient and careful in unpacking, and assembling the bed. For the homeowners reading this, I was totally impressed by their response when I asked if they had booties. David just said they were out but hed take his shoes off once all the parts were in the house. He and Curtis did that without complaint and without having to be asked again. That is exceptional and commendable. Curtis and David, keep up the fantastic Customer focus! You made the delivery easy and I cant thank you enough for putting the mattress on. Rock on!
