10/10 experience ordering from Family Bagels of Plainview. My dad ordered a few platters for the my wedding day to be delivered early in the morning. The platters came right on time and were so fresh and delicious they were very much enjoyed by everyone getting ready there. The bagels and spreads were excellent and fruit was fresh. My absolute favorite part was the assortment of cookies and muffins. The “Mr & Mrs” cookies were such a beautiful touch AND they matched my color scheme. My dad had no problem with the ordering process and was so happy with the outcome! Thank you for helping kick off my wedding day on the right foot !

Best bagels in town. My favorite is a Whole Wheat Everything with (TEC) Turkey bacon, egg and cheese. Great family who runs the business, they are a staple to the community.

Great food and reasonable pricing. Everyone is wearing masks due to COVID-19 and there are social distancing markers. The bagels are always fresh and they always seem to have something new. They do go a little overboard with the cream cheese but the food is still great.

Happened upon this place today while in the area for work. The selection of bagels and spreads was huge. Loved the option of a mini bagel. The lox spread was the best I’ve had. Service was fast and efficient. My only complaint is how far it is from my house and that I won’t be able to come here weekly! Highly recommend.

Cristina is the best she knows everyone’s names and is super friendly ! She’s always talking to me and asking what’s up!On top of that they have legit the SOFTEST And butteriest bagels I ever had they’re amazingI dyed my hair and she even complimented me!! I wanna ask her to hang out one day and be friends but I feel awkward lolI recommend this place e to everyone it’s awesome

They make their own bagels which is one of the best in Long Island.

My daughter and I go here every time we are in the area for soccer games (we are from MA). The bagels are our favorite in all of LI. The staff is super nice and the owners know everyone by name.

Great bagel store all around! The place is clean, they have a beautiful array of salads and the entire staff including the owners Neil and Ro are amazing! Their son Mike helps out a lot as well and he is always friendly and accommodating. Thanks for everything over the years you guys are truly amazing!

Always amazing! The freshest bagels and extensive variety of salads/spreads. So many coffee flavors daily but most of all, the owner is extremely generous and caring towards the people in the community.

Really yummy bagel!! I ordered an egg everything bagel and it was perfect. So fresh!! Also, the person who prepared my bagel was nice and attentive. It was my first time inside this deli and I will probably be going back. They have so many cool flavors for ice coffee, Ill definitely try them all! I was so happy to see they also have almond milk for coffees, usually a lot of delis only use half and half or whole milk. I was surprised they had an alternative milk on hand and it made my drink perfect. Thank you!!

The foods good and priced reasonably. The customer service is fantastic. No attitudes and everyone genuinely cares. The owners work alongside their employees and know a lot of their customers by first name. I go out of my way to come here.

I dont think many can argue the food is good, sometimes awesome depending on what you get. Especially the chicken salad. However, the prices are outrageous. If going for lunch, I highly suggest getting a more affordable option even if food isnt as good. They charge $4.99 for a cup of grapes....for a sandwich and and a drink this place doesnt make sense to get lunch at.

Walked in with 1 person being helped at the register paying for his items and 5 employees behind the counter. The individual finished paying and left. Waited for ~5 min and not even a single acknowledgement, mind you, I’m the only customer waiting to be helped. No: “be right with you”, “how are you”, “give me a min”, nothing! .... 1 employee looked at me and then looked away and went about his business. After 5 min, there is no one in front of the counter except me and still, the 5 people behind the counter are chatting it up about whatever. I turned around and walked out. I don’t even think they realized I left. Very poor service considering I didn’t receive any. Wont go back here nor would I recommend this place all things considered.

The best bagels in NY! Ive moved a couple times since they have been there and still cant find bagels that are anywhere near as good as them! Iced coffee is also awesome! The staff is great and make you feel like family!

Service here is usually great, i went this morning when I got off work. 4/28 @ 7:30 am and it wasnt busy, the guy took my order, put my bagel in the toaster, took my money then, put cream cheese on my bagel and NEVER changed his gloves. I couldnt even eat my food 🤢

Fantastic low-carb flagels and bagels and I have been getting these here for years (with a few years break when I moved away from Long Island). To say that I missed them is an understatement. Now that I am back on the Island and my son works in the area, I order them, pay on the phone with my credit card and he picks them up. Highly recommend!

I’m only giving 3 and not 1 star because I had recently became a fan of their chicken salad. However, after my experience today it will be my last! They completely overcharge at this place & penny pinch for things like getting a toasted bagel! If you charge extra for that then a big sign should be posted indicating that as I would have done without it & toasted it my damn self! Also, this is the second time I went recently & they charged insane prices so I’m officially done with this store!

Stopped in randomly because it was nearby and by far the best Bagels Ive had in a long time. Friendly service and awesome Bagels+coffee. So happy to find the place, worth a visit again if I ever find myself in the area again.

The service was terrible and slow. I felt like I was imposing on them when I ordered my sandwich. There were 5 people behind the counter, and only one could help me, and she did it grudgingly, after finishing her conversation. Its like they resent being in the service industry. The food was good though. Ill give them that.

The best bagels, salads and coffee in town. They are always adding new delicious food to their menu. The staff is warm and friendly.The owners are not only friendly, but they give so much to the community. I dont know of any other business in Plainview that cares so much for the community.The owner, his wife and two sons are always working together to serve the customers.

I have been coming here since I was a little kid and their quality has never changed since then. Neal and Rosemarie treat every single one of their customers like family and the staff is wonderful. I live in Melville now and still go out of my way to come here.

Place has a good selection of foods however it’s pricey compared to others in the area. I also feel that since we use to come there regularly they get too comfortable like the regular customers don’t really matter because they will always come back

Yum! We split tuna salad on a bagel & you could taste the tuna. Very little filling in the tuna salad. They have a app to do ahead of line order for delivery/take out.

I had an everything flagel or flat bagel with low fat vege cream cheese, toasted. The bagel was a little tough for 10:30 am. It was also very salty. The cream cheese had a good flavor but a little too thin. Nice place to drop by if youre in the area. But if youre a bagel connoisseur I wouldnt make a special trip here.

Family is the right word for this place. They make everyone feel like theyre your special friends and family. Try the western omelette and home fries Ive had this three times and its always delicious.

This bagel place is convenient because it is right by my job. However they do not let you call in your order they tell you to fax it or text it. Every time i do this my food is not ready and have not even seen the ticket. I only have a few minutes to grab my food and go. It’s very annoying.

Bagels are hard as leather nearly every day by 12pm. Theyll put one tablespoon of cream cheese and 2 slices of lox on a bagel and charge you 10 dollars for it. The people are nice, but that only goes so far when youre over-paying for sub-par bagels. Make sure you go in the morning if you want bagels that dont feel like they were made yesterday.

Well. Very rude cashier at the take out register. And yes i agree with a review posted that you feel like youre bothering them. Never will step foot into that place again! Really this place deserves zero stars. Had no choice but to give one😡. Manager needs to discipline their staff and make sure they are polite. Very slow service few people behind counter they look confused sooooo slow wow! What happened to making customers feel welcomed ? 🤷‍♀️

I have been to this place several times being that I worked right there and they served tofu cream cheese. The one thing I can’t stand is the price changes. I started going back on Sundays as it was on the way to the city for me any way long story short. When I was rung up I paid$3 and change. On another day a young man rung me up and asked Neil the owner how much and he said something to him that I didn’t hear and the price was right under $5. I found two places close to Plainview that offer tofu cream cheese. Bagel master in Syosset it is good but the best is village bagels in Syosset bi don’t support unfair businesses and Neil stinks as an owner. He is nasty. One time a customer had money on the books so he would order and leave. He must of ran out and Neil embarrassed him in the store the customer came to the bank and Neil after him begging him to forgive him and the customer was like you didn’t have to say that you know I am good for it. So yea why support nasty people. I would never step in there again.

There might be bigger and more well known bagel places in the area but Family Bagels are nice people, small shop and incredibly friendly. While other may be ok waiting in line at Town Bagel we are happy with the quality and service we get at Family Bagels
