Highly recommended across Facebook groups in the local area. Went in for my first visit - impressive clean, sanitized ambience, large airy space, lots of light. COVID precautions taken well and followed through.The bagels were spot on. Tried the plain and poppy. Bold, just the right amount of firmness, tastes fresh.Service was quick, efficient, polite.Will be returning soon!

We are from Virginia, but my husband is from New York. We were traveling and craving New York bagels. And we sure did find the Best spot. We found Town Bagel to be remarkably friendly and clean with many many choices. Too many to make up our minds, so we went with basics. An everything bagel with cream cheese and coffee. It was just like tasting a piece of New York. The staff was immense and very busy. Transitioning from Breakfast to lunch. There are huge glass windows behind the bakery counter to see a large staff making everything fresh in the kitchen. The coffee was fresh and made to order. We love the motivational sign at the entrance. This shop is in a shopping center, with ample parking. As busy as it was we could tell it was very well run and managed. Everyone had a job and everyone did their job. Definitely going back tomorrow.

Picked up 5 breakfast sandwiches during a busy time, and it was much quicker then what I expected it to be. Food came out very good, everyone was pleased and the price was very acceptable. I would absolutely be going back.

Horrible customer service. We order from here weekly $100 or more. We ordered today and there were missing items in the bag. I call and a young girl picks up and cannot use the phone, then asked for a manager, didnt get a manager got someone who doesnt speak English, then got steve who said he was the manager...says he cant help me because none of his employees have drivers licenses! Omg really?

Bagels are phenomenal, big and baked well. Wish I’d gotten mine toasted (forgot to ask), but even cold it was delicious. I had an everything bagel with egg salad on it. The egg salad was very good. Also included a side of macaroni salad, which was great as well. Employees very nice, great service. I’m not local to the area, but if I ever go back, I will definitely be visiting Town Bagel again.

First time here. The place was not even busy. I was 1 of 2 customers there. Was ignored like the plague. Several employees walked by while I was waiting at the counter to order. They have no spacial-awareness, heads are looking down. After 5 minutes I left and went to Sandwich Express, where I received courteous and prompt service.

It took some time to get the food, looks like a very popular place. They offered outside seating so I brought the dog. The food was worth the wait to say the least.. A+ quality.

Town bagel is awesome. We go there a few times a week and the people behind the counter are always very nice. The food is always consistent and tastes great. Store is always kept very clean and neat.

We left NY nearly 25 years ago, but when we think bagel shop, it is still the Town Bagel that we think of. We never miss a chance to eat at the Town Bagel whenever we visit NY. Simply the best.

OK salad but NOT worth almost $10 for the small with no proteins. Proteins would have cost another $3.50. Plus they only offer chopped...? Not everyone wants a chopped salad. Thanks for the bagel though? Great for someone on Keto whod have rather had some chicken or turkey. Theres a first and last time for everything. Ill stick with my other local place who gives me almost twice as much salad for less INCLUDING a choice of a Boars Head protein.

I have gone to this town bagel a hand full of times and 3/5 times I have had a terrible experience. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese last week and when I arrived at work I opened my sandwich to find 1 egg, 1 piece of bacon and no cheese on a roll….I called and asked to speak to the manager and was told there was no manager in that day. I went here again yesterday for a bacon egg and cheese and when I was almost finished with one half of the sandwich a spider was crawling through my sandwich!! I am very unhappy with this town bagel and will NOT be going back again. This place needs to care more about their customers and food.

No matter what day, what time - they ALWAYS mess up my entire order. I order an over-hard egg on my bacon egg and cheese and the yolk is always completely soaked through the bagel, spilled all over the entire sandwich so I can’t even eat it. Whatever, not a big deal if it happened once, but this is like the 5th time. Over priced and they never get the order right, and it’s so disgusting you can’t even eat it. Better off going somewhere else

These lines make no sence, you have to wait to pay for pre-packaged salads on same line as if u were ordering a sandwich. Smh

Bagels werent that good. Didnt seem fresh for 8:30am. My order wasnt complicated but still got messed up. Bacon was like rubber and wasnt tasty at all.Will not be going back here.

The bagels are always fresh. As egg sammiches, they are delightful. The staff is efficient, long lines are not a problem here. The variety is almost too much when you are hungry bc: so many yummy choices. Couldnt give a 5⭐ bc the prices are a little high.

Good bagels and lox, with plenty of options and seating available (indoor and outdoor as of Aug 20). Prices are a little bit high but thats not unexpected of the area. Disappointed they dont have hash browns for egg sandwiches but its not the end of the world. Recommended.

Best bagels in the area

So for the first time, I tried town bagel. I heard good things about the place. Unfortunately I got a baloney sandwich with cheese in white bread and they charged over $10. I also got an 8oz can of red bull and that too was $3.99. This place is a rip off and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. They have a lot of nerve ripping people off like that. I will not be back.

Food is always amazing. Stepped up big time for their community during a very difficult time. More than just a bagel store.

Pros:Bagels are good (not worlds best, but good)Cons:Expensive.Lack of concern for customer experience. Specifically we tend to get there towards the end of the day - somewhere between 2 hours and 30 minutes before they close. Management has apparently decided they wont pay their employees to clean the dining area AFTER closing so they are often mopping with ammonia or other odorous chemicals while people are still sitting and eating. This poisons the taste of their food and turns a good bagel into something i want to vomit. Ive tried communicating with them via social media but theyve chosen not to acknowledge me.

I like this bagel store they have a few locations on long island, but in my opinion this is there best store . Open view to the kitchen so you can see how clean they run there operation. Great value for the pricey area there located in .

Prices are definitely on the higher side but the store is immaculate and the food is good. Coffee could be stronger.Numerous times my order was wrong-and not only at this location. Maybe its the way they do things-where the guy taking your order goes back to the grill. The thing is, they write it down-how can they get it wrong that often??? Weird.Anyway, this particular location the owner is very hands on and often present. Like I said- the store is immaculate.

Someone told me that this place was amazing for bagels and will blow my mind. The only thing you blew up was my wallet. $7 for a bagel with cream cheese and a small coffee. Too much money for and okay bagel. At least the service was good

I have not returned to this bagel shop in over a year because of the terrible experience I had with the owner. I was on line waiting to pay for my breakfast with tray and after I paid the owner wanted me to move off the line even though my breakfast was not ready yet. The owner came behind the counter and took my tray and put it on top of the garbage pail. I threw all my breakfast in the garbage and walked out. I have not returned since then. There is a saying the pen is mightier than the sword. So if one person sees this post and decides not to go there I will have gotten my money back and more.

Absolutely Ridiculous this place. I paid $10 dollars for an egg sandwich all because i added onions. The worker insisted that it was because adding onions makes it an omelette? I have never heard that in my life. The onions werent even cooked. And the everything bagel is basically a plain bagel with a couple poppy seeds on it. I will never come here again.

One of our favorite places for a quick bite.. Usually breakfast or a yummy pick your own topping, chopped salad. Clean, organized and always fresh!

Got an egg sandwich... The bagel itself was good but the sandwich part was just ok. And as for the price, I can go to other delis or bagel places and pay about half the price (its about $8. They say but it comes with free juice).

You can say it is not great to stand on a long line to get a bagel but this place has by far the best bagels in the area. Line moves fast and bagels and other food items are fresh. Love it when those bagels are warm! Chopped salads are great and lox is yummy. Also they make coffee with the International Delight creamers which I love.

Good place for breakfast and lunch. Bagels and salads usually are my pick. Also breakfast platters are good. Big portions and plenty of bacon. Ummm bacon. Prices are on the high end, but definitely worth it.

Remember this place 25 yrs ago. I compare all bagels all over the country to Town Bagel...guess what, nothing compares.I miss that taste and seeing them ripping the chicken off the bone to make REAL CHICKEN SALAD.

Great food and service. Best bagel you can consistently get in Nassau county. A bit pricey but worth it. Depending on the cook the omelettes sometimes can taste rather bland. Massapequa town bagel seasons theirs more consistently and has more flavor. Overall worth the trip for bagels, sandwiches and omelettes.

Excellent bagels and they can follow instructions--i.e. darkly toasted and/or lightly buttered. Its super busy esp on Sunday mornings, but understandably. They have a ton of people working behind the counter to make the line fly by and the staff is always very friendly. To beat the line, you can call in first or even go to their website and order ahead which is easy & fast. Such an excellent bagel place, I regret that Im moving away.

Place is always busy which is good for the business but bad for the customer. I ordered a well done bacon egg and cheese... well as I waited 10plus minutes I thought the bacon was cooking get home and find rawish bacon with no cheese.... two weekends in a row messed up a simple b.e.c. I come here for lunch every time I work in the area. Great lunch dishes, wraps, bagels, etc. Their grilled chicken wrap is delicious and the prices are good. I got a free side of cucumber salad and a drink with my wrap.

Long line but it had good reviews so we waited. Line actually moved somewhat fast but then they messed up our order...it was just two egg sandwiches and my bagel was burnt from the way the bagel was made not from being toasted, I was very disappointed after waiting 20 min to not get what I ordered.

Consistency at lunch time is key for me to stay fit and keep on my diet track so Town Bagel is right up my local business alley! My usual is a chopped salad that I fax over almost 3 times a week. I love this salad so much that I crave it after hours and thats not the norm for someone who thinks of salad usually as eh. At times my whole office has ordered from these guys at once faxing over about 10 orders and most of the time, they get it right. Orders are usually ready for pickup about 20 min later and you dont have to wait in the long line either! And for the price, chopped salad which can easily serve two plus a bagel for $10? Well ya got me there!Coupla things to keep in mind though. This place gets nuts about 12:15pm onward and the parking lot is way too small to accommodate all the other places in this strip center. So do yourself a favor if you dont wanna pull all your hair out looking for a parking space, and get there before 12:15. You can thank me later.

I always go to Town Bagel in the morning before work. I think that the website is the best part of the business - makes ordering very easy for the customer.

I just bought snapple and pay $2.85 for little bottle. Too expensive.

Orders placed online that are ready should be separated from the people who walk in and order. I waited there for 10 minutes and no one helped me and all the people who walked in after me and ordered after me were taken care of, paid for their food and walked out before me. There should be a designated area to pickup orders from online/called in and if employees see people standing at the cashier counter they should ask if they are being helped.

This is an excellent place for the classic New York bagel experience.

Best in Plainview. Alway a long waiting line to order but it goes quickly. Friendly staff and great food.
