I was absolutely floored by the cake that Sweet Karma made for my daughters birthday. Due to Covid-19 I wasnt able to do a tasting or even meet with the baker however I put my trust in the reviews. A simple phone conversation and a crossing of my fingers is all I had to go on. When I went to pick up the cake I almost cried. The attention to detail was masterful and exactly what I had imagined. It was absolutely perfect!!! My daughters face said it all when she saw it. The cake was also moist and delicious. I will be using Sweet Karma for all of my future cake needs. My daughter and I thank you so much for making her birhtday extra special.

Looked a little different than the one online so I was little disappointed. The airbrush looked like a mess but cake tasted good and guests were happy. Wont be using again though.

Over the many years of knowing Brian, I have had the honor of getting many desserts made by him. From his cupcakes, to his regular cakes, to even his gluten free cake (the binghamton cake picutred below), him and his team never fail to amaze me with their talent with decorating the cakes and making them taste amazing! If you are ever in the area or are looking for a bakery to make your next event memorable, Brian is your guy! Sweet Karma Desserts is defintiely my favorite bakery and absolutely worth the 45 minute drive!

I come to this bakery for all my events because of the amazing job they always do. This time especially they went above and beyond. Not only was the cake delicious, as always, but the decoration was spot on for my baby shower. I cannot thank you enough and will be returning very soon!

Our favorite bakery! We have ordered 3 customs cakes at Sweet Karma with Brian and each time gets better and better. The staff there is always friendly and helpful, and we always stop in when we are in Plainview for pastries and macarons. They have a very nice assortment of desserts, plus an entire display case of GF treats. Cannot recommend this bakery more. If you’re looking for a custom cake to WOW your group, this is the place! Today’s creation was a Little Pumpkin themed cake for my sister’s baby shower!

Service is poor not accommodating or understanding. For a small business in the community there are better places to spend your money. You would think in current times staff/management would show empathy during a difficult times for everyone.

Amazing desserts! We missed them when they closed in East Meadow and were happy to find them again in Plainview NY. Each item is made with care, and is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes and taste buds as well!

Best bakery on Long Island!

The best bakery ever. Theresa and Brian are so easy to work with. I’ve had sweet karma desserts create Delicious masterpieces for so many occasions. My favorite desserts are their karma cups, rainbow cookies and their cake pops. The consistency in their products is stellar because each time I order desserts, it’s the same great quality. I’ve used sweet karma for dessert tables for multiple occasions and people that “don’t eat dessert” ate 3 cake pops because they were so good. Also, their rainbow cookies are the best they ever had, according to my italian family. Sweet karmas custom cakes are out of this world. I got so many compliments on how beautiful, and detailed the many cakes I have gotten from sweet karma over the years.If you are considering a dessert table or a cake for an event or just want a sweet treat, sweet karma desserts is where to go!

Worst service, call to place an order takes being placed on hold 10 times. People who answer the phone incapable of answering question with out putting you on hold. Spend your money else where.

I take my family to this place quite often! This is my favorite spot to to have a good dinner. I visit this place many times. The meals are excellent, the team is welcoming and the rates are decent. I enjoy eating in this restaurant to have a decent supper.

Sweet Karma is one of the best bakeries on Long Island. Their cakes areDelicious and I enjoy it very much. They did our wedding cake and I couldnt stop gushing over the details and work they put into it. I will continue to get my cakes from them!

Ill never use another bakery other than Sweet Karma. Ive known Brian and Jenn for a very long time and have been a devout customer of theirs since the East Meadow store. Ive had almost every single dessert from their bakery and I have not one complaint about their desserts. Brian is a master at his craft, his whimsical approach to desserts puts a smile on everyones faces. I cannot wait for him to create my sons 1st birthday cake in March. My go tos at Sweet Karma include: chocolate indulgence, caramel apple tart, smores, and ALL of the cookies bc #imobsessed.

The worst bakery ever. Disgusting cake pops and even worse custumer service. I will never order from them again . They ruined my sons first v dessert table and even worse tried to justify the raw cake pops we served our guest as normal. Buyers beware .

I was completely blown away by the custom cake they made me for my wifes surprise 50th birthday party. Not only was it visually stunning, a genuine work of art, but it was delicious too. The people are also wonderful and genuinely care. My expectations were exceeded in every way. Sweet Karma will be my go to place from now on.

A month ago I placed an order for cake pops, macaroons, mousse cups. A month later, my mom went back to order the same exact thing, she was quoted the same price. Then the person my mom was dealing with went to the back, spoke to the owner, and increased the prices without discussing it with my mother! They literally scratched out the price they told her and wrote the new price and changed the fees without informing her. If she didn’t go over the quote and question them she would have paid more. What kind of bakery needs to trick their patrons into paying more?

Ordered a cake for my son’s birthday, the cake looked amazing but we were very disappointed with the taste, it was just not good

This place is fantastic. All their desserts not only look great, but taste great too. If you want a specialized cake, this place has got you covered just make sure to make an appointment with Theresa, she knows her stuff.

Poor customer service and overly aggressive co-owner! I tried seeking a resolution to my problem only to be shouted at and hung up on by Brian, a co-owner! The cakes/muffins are average however the issue was the customer service! Just a suggestion, take responsibility for the actions of your staff when things dont go to plan! Definitely overrated place, many others that are better! Never again!

Sweet Karma Desserts went above and beyond my expectations for my sons custom 3rd birthday cake! Theresa spent so much time on the phone with me talking thru concept designs and ensuring I was getting exactly what I was looking for. On top of looking too good to eat, the funfetti was absolutely delicious. My guests could not stop talking about it! Thank you Sweet Karma for all of your obvious dedication and passion that went into our cake.

The most amazing looking and tasting desserts that you will see or taste. The staff is great and real helpful. Try the chocolate indulgence, its amazing.

The deserts are amazing, from the French Macaron cookies to the assorted desserts. We also had a custom cake made which was incredible. The owner Brian is a true artist.

Ok so ill give this place a 2. Only because 2 people other than the owner/baker must have assisted in making the cake. This is how my experience went: Ordered customed AVENGER cake on line with the owner Brian this past Monday. Tuesday morning received a phone call from the bakery and completed final details. Paid in full by credit card over the phone. Confirmed p/u time for 11:30 today. Today. Arrived to p/u not ready, waited 1 hr for cake. Party started at 12. Cake not like i wanted. Wasnt satisfied. WAS VERY UPSET BUT CALM. Got verbally attacked by owner, owners wife. Then ignored. Video taped. Wouldnt give me cake. Wanted waiver sign or wouldnt give me cake. Called me all kinds of names. Wasted his time. They should be ashamed of themselves. I left there in hysteria. They humiliated me and they were at fault. I had emails and pics of what had been emailed. I work out in the public, if this is how you treat your community, then go somewhere else.

Amazing desserts and cakes! Ive been going here for at least five years and ever since going here I cant even be bothered with another bakery. Very friendly and helpful people working here, every time I go in for something small or a big order I am treated like family even if it is busy.

Well, stopped in to place both a birthday cake & cupcake order( Btw They were a little pricey), the girl behind the counter was pleasant and tried to help as best as she could however, she said we would need to speak to the owner so we left our name and phone number .Since we did not want to waste the trip we picked up a few things to sample.everything we picked was good but nothing was spectacular.We waited 3 days and heard from no one, so we decided to call and were told the owner would call us back definitely by the end of the day and she did not.Basically their customer service is horrible dont count on them to call or follow up with you. They left us rushing around to find someone to take care of our needs .

The worst customer service!! We went there on June 14 to order baby shower cake for June 30th. The bakery was empty and owner was there. The guy behind the counter(I think his name is Chris) told us that the baker is not in today to take the order, but we can give him the details and Theresa will call us tomorrow when she is in. We gave him the cake details with our phone # and emailed the cake picture with details. June 15 passed without a call from Theresa or any acknowledgement for our email. I called on June 16 to speak to her and was told she is not in today and was very busy yesterday that is why she was not able to call us. But she will get in touch with us soon.I waited one whole day and called them again on June 18 to hear the same reply that she is not in, when I asked does she read the emails atleast, was told they do not have our email. I was furious at that time but kept my calm, resent the email. The girl on the phone assured me Theresa will be in June 20th and will get in touch. Mind it, we were at less than 10 days mark for the baby shower.I called back on June 20th at 11:00 am, surprisingly Ms. Theresa answered and she told me she has the email and details for our order and will call me back in 5 MINUTES. That was the last time I heard her voice, no contact after that!! She did not call me back.I do not know how this place operates with a part time baker and lucky are the ones whose orders get fulfilled here.We are not going back there ever, we were regular Dortonis customers for years, but their quality has decreased for the last couple times, they messed up our pregnancy announcement order. So, we wanted to try a new place and henceforth landed here, but never again!!!

Terrible service, rude and arrogant. Cake was terrible, dry and inedible. It needed to be returned. After calling and being told (by the owner) it was ok to return the terrible cake that was not eaten, my wife was verbally abused by the owner and his wife. Terrible service and product overall. DONT GO HERE!

Brian and Jen are very dedicated business people..Brian is an award winning culinary grad and they will go above and beyond even to do a specialty cake a day before..Super accommodating..
