Horrible customer service from day one till the end. No transparency with oil price when you call. You set a ceiling price for oil and call to see if oil prices has dropped but they refuse to tell you their price. Evryone I have spoken to at their office has a horrible voice tone and is very discourteous. You get better service at a used car dealership. Never ever use this company!

I have been an oil customer for over 9 years and had a new boiler and oil tank installed in 2008 and 2009. They are an excellent heating company, honest, and the best prices. They were always there when you needed them no matter what hour you called. I would re commend this company to everyone . I moved to a condo so I had to discontinue service with them. I was always pleased. Do yourself a favor and call them for your needs.

Please stay as far away from Lewis Oil as you can. They too have been taken over by Petro Oil, the oil conglomerate. I had been been with Lewis Oil for over ten years when, out of the blue, they did not make an automatic oil delivery. Lewis let my tank run out of oil without even a telephone call to a loyal customer. When I called them they said I needed a new oil tank. This is where Pete comes in. Call Pete they said, so I did. Four or five weeks later after being called by Tara, a Lewis employee, Pete returned my call. He came to my home, accepted a check for $650.00 down payment on a new tank. In addition, a contract was signed between us. This was approximately three months ago. I kept calling Pete with no return calls. Tara has moved to the corporate office and is unavailable for calls. It appears there isnt anyone taking responsibility for this travesty. Someone from Lewis Oil finally telephoned me after I made a fuss and, can you believe, actually said they dont know who to contact to have my new tank installed. My answer...return my $650.00 or I will sign a complaint with the District Attorneys Office. There isnt anyone at Lewis, that I can find, with a work ethic or who follows through. Their motto appears to be Pass the buck. Im moving to another company. Where oh where are the independent oil companies who answered their telephone and provided wonderful service. A rhetorical question. IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE FRUSTRATED AND DONT WANT YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE RAISED STAY FAR AWAY FROM LEWIS OIL. LIKE SOME OTHERS ON THIS PAGE I WAS SCAMMED!!!

I waited 24 hours for service - no heat in the house.I waited 2 and 1/2 hours on the phone for someone to even answer my call. They were incapable of giving me a time frame for service. I missed work both during the day and at night. Lewis Oil has been my provider for over 40 years, and I am finished with them. A paid for service contract should mean they are prepared to deal with emergencies such as extreme cold. They are not.

Boasts 24/7 service. What they dont tell you is that they may answer the phone but Ive been without heat now for three days (10-20°F outside). They blame the weather, but when they dont take care of burners so that they stop working in the slightest cold and cant have enough techs out, thats a huge issue. They dont escalate these issues at all seemingly, and even though I was scheduled for a repair over 30 hours ago, they havent gotten back to me. I have continously had to call them and check up, and they keep saying theyll come. They have yet to come. Awful service.

Terrible customer service. Confrontational rather than helpful. We signed a contract and then ran out of oil, even though theyre supposed to ensure that doesnt happen. They tried to charge us for the 10 gallons they delivered because THEY forgot. Nasty,nasty, nasty attitudes on the phone from more than one employee. Will not be renewing anything with them. Ever.

Initially Lewis was very good to work with, they gave me a great rate on oil with a 1 year contract, BUT at the end of the contract they denied my request to fill my tank one last time before my contract ended because THEY DIDNT MAKE ANY MONEY OFF OF ME. After my contract was up they still delivered oil at an ASTRONOMICAL rate. Sent me a bill on May 2nd, I sent a check to them May 17th after I got paid, and was sent to collections the same day they cashed my check May 22nd. This company was all too happy to get my business initially, only to try and screw me in the end. STAY AWAY!!!!

Bunch of jokers and crooks. Where do I begin. I was on auto-delivery but they never delivered oil on time. Twice, I had to get diesel in middle of the night during frigid winter months because they didnt make the delivery. Both times their service staff was MIA and never showed up while my family was suffering without heat. This quality service for a customer who pays in full every time as soon as the invoice is received. Even though I notified them at the end of the contract cycle of contract cancellation they didnt cancel my contract but instead made a delivery and sent me an invoice for a much higher price. My new oil company notified them even then they ignored the notification and continue to send me invoices for service contract and oil. Hopefully other unsuspecting customers understand what to expect with these CROOKS before signing up.

THE WORST OIL COMPANY IN THE PLANET. There are unprofessional, fraudelent bunch of misers who rob people of their money. Their oil prices are ridiculously high, and they NEVER treat their customers well.Absolutely avoid.Go to Petro, Slomins, ANYONE BUT THEM

They signed me to a 1 year contract. I paid for a service contract. Then said they cant serve me any more 2 months in. They wont give my money back and wont answer my calls. They then gave me petro Oil and had the same problem

Horrible oil delivery service and dishonest customer service representatives. I moved into a new home 9 months ago and made a big mistake in using Lewis Oil. I was told after I signed the contract that the company would make a deliver in a weeks time and that their computer would know when to send out future deliveries so I would never run out of oil. They never made the first deliver and I ran out of oil 3 weeks later during freezing cold weather. I called the oil company and since it was the weekend they could not refill my tank. Instead the emergency service person gave me a measly 10 gallons Sat. morning and refused to give any more saying I should call in again if I run out before monday. Monday morning 4am my oil ran out again and the house was freezing. I called the emergency service and was told they could not send anyone. They made me wait until the office opened to request delivery. All the while my house was freezing. When the office finally opened they said I should still have half a tank! So much for their computer system. Now after having switched to a different oil company they still made a delivery even though I told them I am using Sloman Shield (much cheaper then them by the way). They told me tough I should have sent them a letter. DONT USE THIS COMPANY you will pay more for incompetent and unprofessional service.

Do not use them. They are thieves. First off I called because my burner broke and they told me the repair wasnt covered by my service contract. he quoted me $250 for the repair. I did it myself with $35 in parts from home depot, an article on the internet, and 45 minutes.Then I asked them to cancel my service. I faxed the request over immediately but when they heard I was cancelling they probably set me up for a fill up because I received a fill up 2 days after I sent teh cancellation request!! Even though they told me on the phone that my next fill up wasnt scheduled for several weeks.

I had multiple issues with them over the years, but since Petro took over, they became even worse. Horrible customer service. Stay away.

Lewis energy now Petro tried to pull a fast one and charge 3.50 a gallon of oil when other companies are charging 2.69 a gallon. They attempted to charge me hundreds of dollars more for oil so i left them will never go back.

They installed a defective nozzel on my hot water heater causing a running saturation and then told us its not covered under the service contract we have (the best one) and we need a whole new water heater 3k dollars later we wont ever use them again

There should be an option for ZERO stars. Lewis oil/PETRO are a bunch of crooks and provide horrible service. STAY AWAY from this company they will over charge you.

They are horrible. The service is the worst. Since Petro took over everything has been terribleI switched to another company.
