So, this was my first time there and it was a great experience. The guys are really friendly and very Cool. They promptly fixed my VD60 called me and I picked it up today... Wow. Ive never written a negative review for anyone until now. I believe they are probably fantastic at repairs but the attitude they gave me was so horrifying I would never go back there. I came there to get a keyboard repaired and they were scolding me for the keyboard well needing repair. I thought they were a repair shop. I didnt realize I needed to glue two small plastic pieces before they could work on it. And they wont work on it if its disassembled? In other words I need to pay them at least $50 for the half hour it takes just to take all the screws out and put them back which I am perfectly capable of doing myself and they need to do anyway. I wish they would have told me their requirements before I drove 2 hours. But I would actually been fine with all of that had they just been nice about it. Instead they were scolding me to go back home and fix it and reassemble it and then bring it back to them. Well too late I fixed it myself already and thankfully no longer need to deal with them.

Had a vintage Sequential Circuits Prophet-5 repaired here several years ago. Service was excellent. I also worked at a Guitar Center in the area for a few years and Davidson’s was the place all the staff recommended as the best place to go for repairs. Never once heard a complaint.

Whether is NYC OR Long Island, Cleary they are the best, they know what to do and get the job done perfectly. They also are very nice and understanding and will tell you the truth. You can trust them. There is no other place to go. Just go. You will be so happy.

They repaired my korg m50 to my satisfaction. Next I will take my fender . And future repairs if I need it . Other places in NYC to repair . Hard to go . Coronavirus is a major issue . But here . No problems 👍👍👍

Their technician made a quick diagnosis and they got my amp back to me in a short period of time. The owner invited me into the testing room to play my amp and to be absolutely certain the situation was remedied. I was confident that they resolved my issue and they showed me they cared about their work. I brought in my keyboard yesterday, which I use 3-4x a week on gigs. I needed it repaired by Friday (tomorrow) for my next gig. It was putting out static on one side and while the other side worked, it would sometimes randomly cut out completely while I was playing. I dont have any more than 2-3 days of downtime in a row between gigs all summer long. I got a call that it was ready for pick up later THE SAME DAY! I picked it up today, it plays perfectly and there was no rush charge. Turns out my outdoor, waterfront gigs had likely led to many of the contacts corroding, so they all had to be cleaned, manually. Their keyboard wizard, Mathias, took care of it in under 2 hours.Corey and John are friendly, gregarious guys and youll be entertained during intake and pickup. Ask Corey for some stories from the old days... youll laugh your ass off. More importantly, they really know what theyre talking about and what theyre doing.

How refreshing that I was able to bring my prized amplifier to Davidson knowing I would receive an HONEST assessment and expert repair.down to the component level. Fearing an expensive repair they quickly located problem and thoroughly explained in detail what was wrong and repaired minor problem, (saving me big money). In all that time, I have never seen or experienced a service quality, ethic or a determination to help and to want to help a customer whether your equipment is under warranty or not! I’ve experienced first hand where I couldn’t solve an issue with a major instrument makers support service. For months they had no answer for me on their own product. Had an issue with my Mesa dual rec solo amp head that had worked perfect for 10+ years. Completely crapped out on me and these guys rebuilt it for me in less then a week. It always surprises me when I read negative reviews about a place that I think is exceptional. People often mistake knowledge and experience for arrogance. Corey, John and their staff are extremely knowledgeable about electronic products. They really care that the product is given back to the customer in the optimal condition to make your musical experience problem free. Too bad the manufacturers dont follow suit.Im fortunate to live nearby and bring my equipment here where their experience, professionalism, and genuine concern have made my amps sound as sweet as possible. I dont usually write reviews, but had to share my experience with Davidson Electronics. My Yamaha HS8 Subwoofer after about 8 months of use, suddenly had a cracking distorted noise every time I had the volume up with any type of bass because the coil was damaged. I then did my research for repair and came across this establishment. They were extremely professional and fixed my studio monitor sub better than new. It has been a month since the repair and I honestly think it works and sounds better than when I first purchased it. If you are serious about your professional music equipment, these engineers are the way to go.

Hands down the best place to get your amp fixed. These guys are so knowledgeable it’s amazing, they took my messed up Marshall JCM 2000 and made it sound better than when it was first purchased.I absolutely love these guys, they went above and beyond for me without knowing me. Not only do I have an amazing sounding amp now, but am a lot wiser with all the information they provided. These dudes KNOW their stuff. I was ready to throw out my old 80s Carvin X60 amp. For a very reasonable cost, they brought this amp back to life with a new Jensen speakers, tubes and overall cleaning. Looks and plays better than new.Use these guys, theyre that good.

So I bought a Fender Ultimate Chorus amp and mothballed the Roland.Recently, the Fender started acting up so I decided to try Davidson Electronics this time. As I was leaving the house, I saw the useless Roland in the closet and decided to - what the heck - give these guys a challenge.Well, guess what? Davidson Electronics brought both amps back to life! Super helpful and friendly, and quoted me a price that seemed reasonable, although I decided to go in a different direction and just buy new speakers, Im confident they would have been able to fix the speakers without any issues.

If you are a musician and need an amplifier or speaker repaired, call these guys. They are very knowledgeable and know what they’re doing. I brought my MarkBass amp there, and they quickly figured it out.

This is a long over due review for a great company. I had a digital mixing board which was severely compromised by rodents!! The first several attempts of trying to diagnose were met with even more issues. Each time I sent it back and they continued to work with me to get the issues resolved. I know it was not a fun case for them and they probably made no profit for their work but they were committed to helping me get my board back in working order! Corey and John and all the crew rock!

I recently had a pair of QSC k12s that needed repair after suffering an unfortunate accident when they fell. Cory and his team were able to diagnose and expertly repair them in a reasonable amount of time. Being I had an upcoming gig- getting them back was huge and the show went on! Davidson Electronics repaired my vintage, very rare, Kenwood stereo integrated amplifer.The tech repaired a blown trace on the power supply board and replaced a ziener diode. Precision soldering and excellent workmanship. I was pleasantly surprised at the small fee charged and very quick turnaround....only 2 business days!! At first I was a little taken back with the rough around the edges approach while questioning my problem but then he really opened up and went way out of his way to not only tutor me on my amp but to show me how other amps work as well. I guess he sensed Im new to the guitar and amp world so he really took his time educating me. I learned more in 15 minutes there than I did searching for the right amp at guitar center and other stores! Fender and Marshal and Vox should compensate them for their knowledge and willingness to help the consumer.

I was in desperate need to fix a very expensive machine. The partners over at Davidson Electronics not only looked into it but repaired my electronic control box. There knowledge and expertise was insuring enough to know that they would come through. They saved me more then $2200 dollars. There is no where else to go but to Davidson. Truly had one of the best service experiences of my life here. As the ONLY AUTHORIZED service center in NY for Engl, they were the only ones able to get the replacement parts I needed. Beyond that, they really examined every part of the amp by the book to find any other faults. Together with them, we spent over 2 months trying to get the correct (and fully assembled) part from Engl which took way more time than the repair. They were super patient with myself, Engl and the amp on getting this piece back to its former self. Every call I made there was always a status update that gave me piece of mind. These guys give it to you straight with no BS.Though it took almost 3 months to get back (Due to dealing with Engl vendors), it came back in better shape than I remember it. If you own any high-end boutique amps, this is the only place to bring it to have it done correctly. I wont be letting anyone else touch this bad boy. Thanks, Davidson.
