If youre looking for garden ornaments, youll want to experience Metals and Nature. Themed areas are whimsical and inspiring. We enjoyed the variety of peacocks, turkeys, ducks and cats strolling the grounds, as well as the caged budgies, parrots, doves- even a friendly pig and rabbit live together amicably here. So much fun to stroll around, and we came home with a few pretties for our outdoor space. We recommend a stop! By the way, our leashed dog was welcome here, too.
A short hop over to Plant City for a fun afternoon out of the house. All the handcrafted items by artist Diego Smude are displayed in situ on this two acre site, so you can find inspiration as to how to add some charm to your garden or patio. The nature is not all rooted in the ground though, as you may cross paths with a wandering peacock, visit the pig, or chat with the (caged) chickens and parrots. (Or in my case get a giant grasshopper tangled in your hair, evidently as payback for an indelicate photo I had taken earlier. See below.)Don’t be intimidated by price! There is something for absolutely everyone and you’ll be surprised at just how affordable most things are. The larger custom iron work pieces are a bit pricey but much of the wall art and ceramics are in the $15-$40 range, you can pick up a succulent in an artsy pot for $10 and they even have a large section of random mix and match left over wrought iron decorative pieces arranged in bins for as low as >$1-$10. I say absolutely everyone because when I stopped by they even had some old used pots for planting they were giving away for free.
The place is amazing! For a garden enthusiast, it’s like going to Disney 😁
A must visit for locals and vacationers alike! It’s a hidden garden oasis and the owners Mary and Diego are a delight. It’s one of those places you can visit over and over again and always seem to find something new. Beautiful fountains, flowers, plants, trees, statues, birds, and decorative garden knick knacks. Things you will not find anywhere else. It is the quintessential mom and pop shop I envision when I think of supporting small business. Stop by and spend a few relaxing minutes with nature. You will not regret it.
Lots to see and many options to purchase what you like! Bought this cute bunny for the wife! Prices are very reasonable. Two acres of statues and wrought Iron.
Wanted to find a few concrete statues for my 87 y/o Dad to paint, as he likes to keep busy. Found a great variety of them at reasonable prices. They have them in all sizes, styles, themes. Bought a lighthouse, Wiener Dog, elephant, and baseball themed statue for him to unleash his creativity on.Great place to spend a few hours. Prices are reasonable, great offerings.
What a lovely spot off the beaten path! The owners are lovely and have a willingness to help from garden tips to finding the perfect piece to accent your patio or front porch. Theres a small but beautiful collection of iron works furniture in the back. Be sure not to miss this gem for all your plant needs, bespoke outdoor furniture and ornamentation. I especially loved the Medusa wall pots, cant to find a client that wants to showcase these beauties in their outdoor sanctuary!- Melissa Kelly, Principal Designer MKDS, Inc. @MKDSinc
Wonderful lady Mary is an Angel...Enjoy taking family and friends to walk and look around. My military statues all came from her...and now she getting new Angels soon...Thanks Mary...
Great Nature Walk .Love the statues, metal work and plants. Some beautiful live birds also. Quiet and serene. Bought a few pieces of art work too. Social distancing not a problem.
After searching hi & lo for a wine room door we found the perfect place... Metals & Nature! Diego is a master craftsman who created a beautiful wrought iron door that is the first thing most people notice in our home The perfect conversation piece. Since the prices are so great, we are having him create more items for us. 💝
This place is a hidden gem. In other words, its an awesome local place which doesnt get the credit it deserves. The metal art shows such detail and their cement works is worth buying to decorate around anyones home. The lady that help us was very friendly and welcoming. She answered all our questions with a smile. Well continue to visit and purchase from them... Follow the natural paths.
I have lived in Plant City for over 20 years and never had gone...I have been missing out! So many knick knacks for my garden!

This place is a hidden treasure! I love the art and the talent that is here. You could visit and visit again and still not see everything. I just received a quote for 2 iron gates that I want to be made, a hummingbird drinking nectar from a flower. Ill be saving for a minute.
Something for everyone at this place its an adventure even if you dont buy anything.
Best display of wrought iron decorative fencing, gates and just about everything you can think of for outdoor landscape ideas.
This place is beyond fabulous! It is like walking through heaven. I cant wait to go back! Nature mixed with concrete, metal, plants and so much more.
Metals and Nature was my favorite destination in Plant City! We met family members in Plant City and visited a few places. I loved this cute Garden Center. I had so much fun walking the paths filled with concrete statuary of all shapes and sizes, along with the beautiful metal artwork. While walking the paths we had pet peacocks follow along fanning their beautiful tales, we also came across an amazing Large Pet Pig, so cute hanging out with his friend the rabbit. It was really shaded by the tree canopy so no chances of burning in the sun. What a great way to spend an hour visiting with family from out of town! We could not resist and ended up bring home a couple of friends, a cute frog and owl! We will definitely be returning for more treasures. We visited from Venice, fl.
My wife and I really enjoyed our visit to the garden of Metals and Nature. When we first walked in we were a bit surprised to be greeted by a parrot! We rang the bell and were welcomed in by the sweetest woman we’ve ever met. Her name was Mary and she made us feel right at home. We had a briefconversation about the history of the property and went off on our way exploring. With pleasant musicplaying in the background we wandered around at our own pace and just enjoyed being at peace withnature. I’d tell you more about what we saw, but I don’t want to spoil any of the surprises! Let me end by saying my wife and I were not sure what to expect when we made the choice to visit this place. All I can say is that we’re extremely happy we did. We met some really nice people, saw a lot of beautifuloutdoor artwork, and experienced wildlife that I never knew existed in Plant City, Florida.
I love this place. The metal and concrete items are very well made for an amazing price. Definitely a must see! They offer water and bug spray if you forget to bring some! Just ring the huge bell by the gazebo for service if you need help.
Awesome place to bring the kids
We always love visiting Metals and Nature when we’re in the area. They have a wonderful selection of plants and garden ornaments. Walking through the nursery is always a treat seeing the peacocks and other animals wandering about and on display. The owners are very friendly, know their stuff, and have been very helpful in finding just the right items for our garden.
This place has something for everyone! Metal statues and ornaments... stone statues... custom gates... etc. My son loves walking the property and seeing all the peacocks! Great family owned and operated business.
Beautiful gardens to walk around! Amazing custom iron work for my home & garden decor. And you can’t stop by without saying hello to Annie. :-)
I asked them to make a custom door for inside my home. I had two dogs that did not get along, and, was not going to get rid of either...so, this was a good alternative. The door is gorgeous...has an adorable dove and branch on it (nice peace symbol they added) and all of my dogs can see through it, and see me wherever I am in the house. Fantastic and beautiful solution. The door fit perfectly, and, these people were very easy and pleasant to work with.
We love this place. The artwork was so beautiful and unique. We could not believe how inexpensive the prices were. Overall avery beautiful experience.
Great yard decor! A few beautiful items I have from Metals and Natures are: self closing gates for a swimming pool (up to code), yard art/decor, table, wall art, and statues. I will be visiting soon for an arch for my grape vine.
This place is pretty legit. Couldnt believe some of the stuff there is hand made!!! And they were able to receive my emails of the plans that I sent to them with out a problem. Great and honest people right there.
Metals and nature designed, constructed, and delivered a beautiful iron arch that I put over my driveway. Ive received numerous compliments about it. Would definitely go back!
Everywhere you look is something beautiful or fun to see.
