Honestly, I didnt even know what the hell HEB stood for. After talking to a stock person I still not sure. Went in for supplies for the week and wanted to pick up some seafood. Selection was very good and priced reasonably also got everything I need it and a little more. I was really interested in an octopus tentacle or two but I dont have any way to properly prepare it. Check out lady named Sandra was very efficient and pleasant to look at, stocker John was very efficient on bagging and placing my groceries in for transport.

Still doing a Great Job with regs for Covid and keeping up with our demand for food, but costs are going up and i see HEB is trying hard to save Us money with the coupons i have seen. There are more of them now then ever. Thank You My HEB!

Best HEB this side of Texas by far. Every employee always willing to help you, and cashiers are normally fast. ( self check out is a little flawed. Ive been in retail I. The past and have do my fair share if cashiering. HEB by far has the worst self check outs out of all the retail and grocery stores.) Not this stores fault though. This HEB always has everything need in stock and the small town feeling is great. They do alot throughout the community and donate to all sorts of organizations and businesses. Best HEB everrrrr!!!

Went to the BBQ place inside their store, from seeing an online news story they were vited best BBQ chain in Texas. Disagree, or they had a bad day. Only 2 workers at a counter style setup, one brand new.Had the 2 meat combo with brisket x 2. Asked if I wanted dry or moist, got moist. Wanted brisket beans, they were out (at 5 pm). Got green beans and coleslaw. Didnt realize moist meant dripping in watery grease with a hard burnt edge, too hard to chew. Lots of fatty deposits in it too.Green beans served with jalapeño slivers, no warning on the menu and I cant take spicy.Coleslaw so under ripe almost too hard to chew.Disappointed. Texas brags about their BBQ and steaks but Ive only found one place that meets my idea of good BBQ here. Still seeking steaks too.May give them another try, maybe not.

Everyone is always happy to help and theres Always several lanes open. They even help you out to the car and load up the groceries so you can get the kiddos in safely. This is absolutely my favorite HEB

HEB used to be a good store. They had good fair pricing on meat,vegetables and other products. But as always they got to big and now they are like any other big retail grocery store where the deals are not so good anymore. Its a sad thing but greed ruins all good things.

Had everything I needed at the time. The only thing I could ask for would be for them to offer their eggs in foam eggcrate... When the paper/cardboard gets wet or sweats from the humidity on the trip home it disintegrated and I broke 3 of the 18 in the pack when I got home.

When we fly in from CA, this is the first place we go. We’ve had Rudy’s and Kreuz’s, and it is our non-expert, by-no-means-exhaustive opinion that this is the best bbq in Texas.We love their brisket (specifically burnt ends), turkey, and spicy sausage. The people who work there are some of the nicest in the contiguous United States; which, coming from CA, means anyone working in food service who doesn’t treat us with disdain for not owning a Tesla or simply existing.

HEB is the only place I can find Macintosh apples! I snagged the last two they had today! Im from central New York and I miss my Mac Intosh apple 🍎🍏

Two-bite orange cranberry scones are in season. Seen at other HEBs. But never at Pleasanton’s HEB. You ask an employee; you are bothering them or they have no clue. They just say they are out. Really, all the time.

Fast easy service only downfall sometimes the person loading throws the grocery hard, and slams vehicle not all employees but best of all even if you get there after your time they still come out they wont cancel if your a bit late

Just moved here, first time in a H-E-B. They had the items Wal-Mart didnt, like cilantro and ginger. We will just drive past Wal-Mart and come to H-E-B.

Absolutely love this HEB. every employee here Ive run into has been nothing but professional and made boring grocery shopping a fun experience. They are always willing to assist and pass on knowledge as far as cooking meats or seafood or produce assistance. I frequent this place after moving down to the area recently. That is my most favorite store in Texas or in the United States that really is my HEB the people there are always so helpful I love it I love it I like the chocolate cake in the bakery the tamales over there by the by the dairy area they came from Houston I worked right across from the place where they were making them yeah I love that HEB wish it was big as the Walmart bigger

My only complaint about this HEB, is the crazy small baskets. If you visit a HEB in San Antonio area, they have HUGE baskets. I really wish someone would make a decision to put larger baskets in this store.

Go early, right when they open u can most generally find everything u need before everyone else thats when I do my shopping only the last time I was in there the stockers had a mess I get it, I go early for a reason but I shouldnt be falling over stuff because of poor housekeeping

We ate BBQ at this HEB this afternoon as we passed through Poteet and were vastly disappointed on a wide range of fronts. First, we fully recognize this is a smaller community and store conditions might not be expected to be quite as high as the competitive San Antonio environment we live in, but it IS HEB and our experience has generally been pretty consistent across the board, no matter the city size. It was a Sunday, too, so it was busy and sometimes store conditions fall off a bit when your primary management team might be off for the day. Regardless, from the lady who took our order, who was not openly friendly and her handling of the meat in front of us (scooping leftover trimmings off the cutting board with both hands and dumping that into the meat warmer, with pieces falling to the floor as she did so) was not appetizing, to the brisket beans that ended up being almost entirely sauce and meat fat, to the small portion sizes for what you were paying, to the fact that it was not clear where the BBQ spot was or that you had to haul your food back up to a small seating area by the front doors, to the dirty bathrooms, the very dirty windows all around the eating area that clearly had not been cleaned in a long time, and the flies in the eating area (very challenging during warmer weather, we understand; especially by the front door), it just was a disappointing experience. The produce section was also in a state of disarray as you entered the store. Compared to other HEBs, this key area needs a lot of work on presentation and keeping it up to speed on busy weekends. Stock levels seemed okay, but the appearance was dramatically different from what we were used to.Bottom line: We love and support HEB, and know that the vast majority of the team working in this store, and every HEB, do a fantastic job daily. Clearly, though, store leadership has allowed some standards to slip and what we saw was not up to par with the HEB norm. Hopefully it was just an anomaly and itll be better going forward.

Nicely constructed HEB, I believe we have had two major makeovers since I was a kid. This one is by far the best. The store is quite big but very organized and easy to find what you’re looking for. The employees are friendly and welcoming. And most of it’s clean.

We love this HEB.Everyone there is very friendly and the small town feeling is always there.Its always clean and in and out.The only thing is they dont have a lot of HEB lemon waters or ONE bars.They need a meat counter as well. Their seafood counter is always well stocked and they have fresh scallops.

The employees are almost always friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of some harder to find items. The building always looks clean and smells pleasant. There are always plenty of clean and smooth running carts. I never have trouble finding an employee if I need help or have questions.

My only issue with this H-E-B Store is cosmetic. The interior could use a remodel, maybe along the lines of the store in Aransas Pass (I shop there sometimes too). And in all fairness, yes, I know that a store remodel is expensive, in several ways. Still, it would be nice to see some kind of update, even if it was just epoxying the floors with a durable bright color.The employees are mostly helpful, some are friendlier than others, but thats common at most places. The prices are fair, though some items are priced on the high side.Im a fan of H-E-B, so Ill continue shopping here as long as theyre around.
