From the moment I stepped foot into Diamond Bride, Colby and his team were truly amazing to work with. As far as the dress goes, this one pretty much deserves its own 10-star rating...romantic, comfortable, and more beautiful than anything I could have ever imagined!

We went bridesmaid shopping here in December of 2020, and the initial experience was fun and positive. However, when all of the dresses came in a couple of months later, they didnt fit for 5 of the 6 bridesmaids. We all ordered different styles, and the rib cage portion was too tight in each style. It was quite confusing as we were all measured in-store by the team member assisting us, and a few of us sized up one size from the recommended size to be safe.When asking Diamond Bride about the issues, they stated that we all most likely gained weight over the holidays and to wait until you lose weight to do the alterations. I was shocked by such an inconsiderate and frankly irresponsible response to say to a group of women. They took zero responsibility for their poor sizing guides/measuring and would not offer to let out the sides. When it is nearly every bridesmaid and the issues are solely in the rib cage area on every style dress, this is surely a manufacturing issue. They were beautiful dresses, but unfortunately day of a few of the bridesmaids were still uncomfortable even after outside alterations.Overall, they do make beautiful dresses, however I would not recommend Diamond Bride due to their poor customer service. If you look through previous reviews, it is clear that other clients have had the same exact experience with their bridesmaid dresses. This leads me to believe it is very much a manufacturer/measuring issue - something Diamond Bride should be aware of and take responsibility for so to best serve their clients.

Had a great experience with Diamond Bride! My consultant, Kristy helped me figure out what looks best on my body and pulled items I wouldn’t have thought of but loved. Wedding dress shopping can be overwhelming but Kristy was amazing at listening to what I liked and didn’t like. You want to feel special/beautiful on your wedding day and the experience I had looking for a dress at Diamond Bride will make me feel just that! I would recommend them to future brides!

James helped me find the perfect dress!! I went to two other places prior and could find something I loved. James listened to me and what I liked about certain dresses and pulled multiple dresses that I could have easily picked. 10/10 would recommend going there! Big shout out to James! Thank you!

After a few disappointing experiences at other bridal shops, this one was outstanding! Our stylist, Kristy, was so helpful! She was sweet, friendly, kind, courteous, caring, professional and knowledgeable! She helped us stay within our budget and still brought out some great dresses! She helped when needed, but also let us look at the dresses and help the bride. She let us take our time and take pictures. The dresses were very comfortable and felt very high quality. The bride said the dresses here were WAY softer and more comfortable than dresses at other shops. They have a great selection and variety, with variations of lace, sleeves, lengths, fabric types, etc... I would definitely recommend going here if you would like a more personal, quieter, professional and memorable experience.

This was the best experience I had out of all the bridal salons (5 in total) that I had been too. James, my stylist, was knowledge, kind, supportive, patient and could see my vision for my wedding day and helped make it happen! I found my dream dress here. They are able to make wedding dresses in black which is very rare and what I was looking for. All the staff was kind and helpful. Do not be turned away but what it looks like from the parking lot. Update: it wasn’t even a year since I looked at the dress lol. But whatever, I’m just glad to be done with Diamond Bride! And they NEVER attempted to contact me, so that’s another lie.I had wrote a review about 8-9 months ago now, unfortunately it was a 5 star review. Find some where else to buy your dress, I was treated very poorly AFTER I had put a deposit on my dress. The owner just wants your money, they lied to me told me I had up until the wedding day to pay off my dress, and I was also told my dress was $300 somehow they managed to raise the price to almost $500 without letting me know, I had made a payment and that’s how I found out when I got the emailed confirmation.The owner told me my dress HAD to be paid off by the end of June or I lose my money and he’s putting the dress back on the sale floor… why? Because he’s moving lol to a new location, like stated above. Just wants money! Oh, and the beads were falling off the dress too.I actually ended up calling them one day and said put the dress back on the sales floor I do not want it, the girl was very disrespectful to me when I said. I honestly had a better experience at David’s Bridal and will most likely return to them. I’m so glad I ran when I did, I will not be back.

I had the most wonderful experience at Diamond Bride!! My associate, Kristy, was SO nice and helpful and helped me get in and out of all of the dresses that I tried on. She was highly knowledgeable about all things bridal and truly listened to what I was saying. Kristy also offered great suggestions and pulled dresses based on my preferences and based on what she thought would be flattering for my curvy shape. Kristy wound up finding my favorite wedding dress of the day and helped me book a follow-up appointment to try it on again so my parents can see me in it. I felt pampered and well taken care of and had a fantastic experience. This was the first store I had ever been in to look at bridal gowns and I am sure that it will be the last!!! :) I would highly recommend visiting this boutique/shop!! I had the most amazing experience at Diamond Bride this past weekend. I worked with James and he was completely fantastic. He listened to me on what I did and did not like and made sure all the dresses I tried on were something I was interested in. He made sure I felt really comfortable & he really made me feel like a. Beautiful bride! I ended up finding my wedding dress that day & purchased it. My sister in law in getting married after me and she will be requesting James as well because he was fantastic! First off, I was nervous at the beginning as their check in process was all over the place but once my person came and got me the customer service was impeccable and she made me comfortable and gave me so many different choices which made me think outside the box and I found my dress. Their selection is vast and I truly recommend starting with them as this may be your only and last spot. I could go on but just know they have a satisfied customer here.

I had my wedding dress tailored by Galina (?) for a COVID wedding. Throughout the fitting process, I felt rushed. At one point, Galina told me I needed to “hurry” when I asked if I could get an opinion about the tailoring from my sister via facetime. I had only been there for 10 minutes max when she told me this. That pressure led to a disappointing outcome because I felt uncomfortable speaking up after I was rushed.My husband and I recently rescheduled our wedding reception for 2021. Since I will be wearing my dress again, and I tried to ask Diamond Bride if it would be possible to correct the main part of the dress that has been bothering me. Its been nearly 2 weeks and 2 separate attempts to contact them with zero response.Ultimately, I decided to write this review to help reviewers (and the owners of Diamond Bride) to understand their service is poor. The quality of their tailoring is acceptable, but the service combined with the expensive pricing is not worth it.

James and the gal who helped me were SO fabulous! I cannot say enough good things about them. They were so patient and knew how to make me feel at ease for my first dress shopping experience! They did a great job answering questions, offering suggestions, and letting me know the changes that could be made to any dresses. I would highly recommend checking Diamond Bride out!

My experience with Diamond Bride was truly amazing! While all of the staff we interacted with was kind and attentive, I really want to call out my sales consultant, Mikayla, because she was phenomenal. She listened when I gave feedback after each dress I tried on, and was extremely kind and patient with us as we went over our allotted appointment time. While I was confident I had found my dress, I had one more appointment that day and wanted to be absolutely sure. She completely understood, did not push me to skip that appointment and buy the dress immediately, and also waited at the store until closing, even though she was done with appointments early, for me to come back after my second dress appointment. After purchasing my dress she continued to be attentive and extremely helpful, making sure I got my alteration appointments scheduled and helping pick out bridesmaid dresses. She truly went above and beyond and I am so thankful for that.The dresses that Colby John designs are truly stunning, and you wont find anything like them anywhere else. I highly recommend any bride-to-be to make an appointment with this shop, you wont be disappointed!!

I did a double appointment with my best friend, and we both walked out both getting our dream dresses. Out of the 6 bridal stores I went to in Minnesota, this was by far one of the best experiences! Colby and his colleagues exceeded all my wedding visions for my dress. Not everyday you get to try on wedding dresses with the original designer! SO FUN!

This was my third time as a bridesmaid so I have gotten to know our Minneapolis bridal shops pretty well. Diamond Bride is a classic example of poorly made dresses with elevated prices. They were more expensive than the Wedding Shoppe, and the quality was worse. None of the dresses fit because the inner lining was poorly made- the seams looked like a kindergartner sewed them as they were in a zigzag pattern. Also, the beading on the straps was falling off a couple of the dresses. When I reached out looking to work with them to solve the problem, they told us that was the size we ordered so it was on us (even though they were the ones that measured and recommended the sizes based on our measurements). But if all of the dresses have the exact same fit issue, regardless of size, I think it’s safe to say there’s a quality problem. The store is also pretty run down and in a strip mall- it didn’t have the cute and exciting wedding vibe that is part of the fun. With all of the wedding dress shops in town, skip this one. The Wedding Shoppe is nicer, cleaner, and cheaper for bridesmaid dresses.

Absolutely amazing service. The alterations process was a breeze!! Recommend this place for alterations 100%!!! I love everything about this place and the employees!! I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for my dress. They are so welcoming and including. They are so supportive of everyone and never failed to cater my needs. Highly recommend this place!!

The experience I had today has been the best I’ve had in the 15 years that I’ve tagged along for bridal gown shopping. Colby knows his stuff and was amazing to work with. While I loved my dress from Diamond Bride, everything else about the experience was negative.While trying on dresses, the stylist helping me kept bringing dresses above my price range. When I found what that I really liked she told me it would be substantially cheaper if I ordered it without some of the detail. As soon as I had taken photos and “said yes,” she told me this wouldn’t be the case after all. When I questioned, the owner was extremely condescending and provided a discount much smaller than the one I was promised.Fast forward to when it was time to pick up the dress (9 months later) and I hear nothing. I was given the vague time of “May” and by mid-May had heard nothing. I sent them an email and got no response. Finally after 3 phone calls (2 of them not returned as promised), they told me my dress would be late and arrive in June, which it did.I took my dress elsewhere to be altered and found out there were a number of issues with it. These included the skirt being put on crookedly and the sleeves on the wrong arms.All in all, bridal gowns are way too expensive to excuse such poor customer service and quality. Take your business elsewhere.

WOW! What an experience. Diamond Bride was so amazing! Not only were the staff super awesome, but they had such a good variety of dresses as well!! Amazing experience! Tyler helped me for my first appointment and was absolutely amazing. I was so happy with level of service and how helpful he was. The dresses are gorgeous, great selection. Ask for Tyler when you visit, if you can. I would go back just for him.

I purchased my wedding dress on the same day as my initial appointment here and left happy. However, it wasn’t until I went into my fittings with their seamstress that I was notified I could’ve customized the dress to proportionately fit me at the initial appointment because I am a very short person. No one mentioned that the train of my dress could have been made proportionate to my height at the initial meeting which is the biggest part of the $800 that I’ve paid for. On numerous occasions the sales consultant kept telling us they usually order the standard dress then the seamstress can do what I want once it arrives. So now, I’m left paying a total of $800 for tailoring BECAUSE THEY MISINFORMED ME. Only thing they can do is refund me my money TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO PAY TO FIX THEIR MISINFORMATION.

The overall experience in the store was average. The dresses are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. We ordered our bridesmaid dresses from here and loved having the option for custom dresses. The first 4 dresses came earlier than expected, which was great! The last dress still hasn’t arrived. We ordered the dresses the first week of November 2019 and it is now mid-June 2020. Thank goodness that with the pandemic going on, we decided to postpone our wedding or my MOH wouldn’t have had a dress to wear (orig wedding date was 6/6). I’ve called many times and even reached out on Instagram. When people say they will call back, they don’t. I’m not getting a straight answer from anyone on when we can expect the last dress. I would give 1 star just based on this whole experience, which has been very irritating and stressful to say the least, but giving 2 stars since the dresses they make are stunning and the pricing is competitive.

Out of the 3 bridal stores I went to, Diamond Bride was the best with costumer services, listening to my budget, and the style I was going for with also keeping an open mind. My consultant Kristy was great, she was very comfortable to be around, picked out gorgeous unforgettable dress selections and was also respectful with my entourage. Although I didnt buy my dress here, I wanted to make sure this shop got the praise that they deserve. When I told them I found my dress elsewhere the staff was genuinely happy for me. Future brides, your time will not be wasted here!

Initially, Diamond Bride was fun to work with. Gave great attention to bridesmaids ordering dresses and positive opinions on how to style. However, I ordered my dress in December with a promise date of April to receive the dress. It is mid-May. The bride and I called multiple times to finally receive an answer that There was a delay and our dresses should be done by the end of the month. Thus far, I am not impressed with the customer service regarding the process of receiving bridesmaid dresses.

Went here with my best friend to get ideas for her wedding dress and it was such a great experience! The specialist knew exactly what dresses to pick out based on her needs and everyone was very friendly. Beautiful selection of dresses as well. Only thing I wish was different is there werent really any tea length dresses, but they arent in high demand so understandable. I definitely recommend going here!

As gown designer and store owner, Colby is great at showing you where modifications can be made to fit your personality. The made the whole process easier than expected and I can finally relax knowing that I purchased a dress that truly felt like what I had hoped for. I went to Diamond Bride a few weeks, and worked with Tyler, he was absolutely fantastic! He was very creative and willing to listen! The whole staff was very friendly and accommodating, I would definitely recommend Diamond Bride!

I went to Diamond Bride & Formal to look at bridal gowns for my first time. Jana was very helpful and friendly. She listened to exactly what I wanted and helped me stay within my budget. I had the most wonderful experience at the Diamond Bride. I wanted a dress that was going to be very hard to find in its completion. They helped me create the vision by using alterations. The let me tweek it many times to get it to be perfect! My dress was absolutely beautiful! My Tuxedos went completely smooth and my bridesmaids went exactly as expected. My wedding was three months from my date of engagement so my family was very stressful but I had to rush ship everything. They were upfront about time frames and alteration times. Loved my experience with them even though I didnt buy my wedding dress from them! They were so great, really listening to what I wanted for a wedding dress and finding a variety of styles for me to try on. As I said, I did end up buying a dress from a different store, but wish in the end I could have gotten it from Diamond Bridal. I did buy my bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding there because they offer great service, reasonable delivery date for the dress, and great follow up care. Skip the Shoppe in St. Paul and give this great little shop a chance, I wish I had.

Now under new ownership and management by the genius Mr. Colby John this bridal shop exceeded all my expectations. Gorgeous, custom designed gowns, exceptional customer service, and pricing to rival or beat stores of lesser caliber. All around an amazing experience I cant recommend highly enough.

This was the first place that I went to and it was great. They were all so helpful especially when I had no idea what is was I wanted. They let me try on as many dresses as I wanted and really kept the appointment fun. They made me feel so special and beautiful in the dresses I put on. I recommend that anyone looking for a dress go there.

This store has the most unique bridal gowns I have seen in Minnesota ; at affordable prices as well. Appointments are necessary . The customer service is amazing ; the bridal specialists are very patient and help one find their dream gown. Would highly recommend it to any brides looking for a gown.

My daughter is getting married and bought her dress at Diamond Bridal. They were very accommodating with her and spent all the time she needed to find the dress for her beautiful day. A few weeks later, I went looking for a mother-of-the-bride dress at, I am sorry to say, other dress shops in the twin cities. I live an hour away from Diamond Bridal and went to MANY other dress shops that were along routes that I was taking for other appointments. NOTHING to be had! They were hideous! The largest dress shops in the area had pared their mother-of-the bride dresses down to nothing - going in a different direction, I was told. Only option was large scale department stores and nothing there either. Finally, my daughter suggested taking a ride to Diamond Bride and Tux. She reminded me that they give 10% off since she bought her bridal gown there. BONUS! The staff was attentive the minute I walked in. I picked out several gowns - all beautiful - but the very first one I tried on was IT! Why didnt I just come her first?? So, for all of you mother-of-the brides, dont waste your time going all over the cities. Come to Diamond Bridal.... you wont be sorry! By the way, Joey is very good at what she does - a real professional. You wont get that in a department store. This is your daughters big day (or son), when people go through the pictures decades later - you want to look your best!

My experience with Diamond Bride and Formal has been excellent! I have gone through these ladies for bridesmaids dresses in the past and found that they are so patient and helpful. They truly know what looks good and recommend things based on their professional training. I was recently in the market for a wedding gown and went straight to Diamond Bride and Formal. Michelle was wonderful! She was so helpful and kind. You can truly tell she loves her job! I found the most beautiful gown and am so excited to walk down the aisle in this stunner!The selection, the prices, the employees- they are all second to none! Carrie and Colby were FANTASTIC!!Honestly I am not a dress person and didn’t enjoy my experience service wise and dress wise at the other 3 dress shops I had been too. However at Diamond Bride it completely changed my perspective and I found the dress of my dreams! I couldn’t be happier and never thought I would be this excited about my dress. They had the most unique dresses I had seen before and they cater exactly to your needs.

Tyler was hands down an AMAZING rep to work with. This was my first appointment trying on gowns and he did a fabulous job talking with me about some styles that I liked while throwing a few wildcards in the mix (all while continually checking with me to make sure I was comfortable with each option). He did a great job steering the appointment and picking up on verbal/nonverbal feedback in order to maximize our time trying on dresses. All while making sure that I felt like I was in the drivers seat. I ultimately ended up finding my dress at another boutique, but my group and I both agreed that we wished we could have bought my dress and been able to give Tyler the credit/commissions because he did so well. Do whatever you can to hang on to him!! Hes truly great at his job!

I had an amazing time trying on dresses, I loved all of the different styles offered. Katie was so amazing to work with and had great suggestions and input and was able to answer all of my questions. I found THE dress and I feel like I am in great hands. The willingness to accommodate and make some changes to the dress to make it absolutely perfect is a wonderful thing to make the dress special. I will recommend Diamond Bridal to everyone!

Friendly and helpful service! I actually expected to be bombarded with tons of questions about colors and preferences but they were very laid back and understanding. It was so fun to have my friends try on different styles and see what looked beautiful. It was so easy to make a decision without feeling pressured!

We were able to find my dress and the bridesmaid dresses in one visit! Michelle was very patient with me as we worked to find the perfect dress. I came into the store with just 4 months before my wedding and they made me feel comfortable despite the shortened timeline.

Friend tried on a wedding dress here a few months ago, but held off . Went to other store but couldnt get dress out of mind. Came back with her, and it was meant to be. Got the dress at a much better price than expected and a gorgeous veil for a great price. Got in and out quicker than any other store. Bonus, the designer (Colby John) was our sales person, that is a rare occasion! Would definitely recommend Diamond Bride and Tux!!!
