Great place for do it yourself type people. Just show up with a cut list and they can make all the cuts for you. Very helpful if you have ideas but not really a way to execute them.

Even though they sent me home with the wrong parts, they were very helpful in trying to figure out how to fix my plumbing problem. Thank you! Ill be going back today!!! 🤔

It was pretty great I enjoyed the people there their advice and when you walk in the store feels like your at a hometown store.

I moved to Claremont 45 years ago and discovered C&E. They contribute significantly to my quality of life. I have been a customer through three generations of C’s and E’s. It is always a joy to shop there, for lumber and for hardware. They are always EXTREMELY capable, helpful, and friendly. The unhurried personal service they provide customers is extraordinary.

Great hardware store. I would call this the anti-big box store. They have many things you wont fi d at the bigger stores, and the prices were good. Plenty of help when you need it. No need to hunt for an orange or blue apron.

First time at C&E. Went in for some hardwood plywood. I knew nothing about this product. I explained my application and they recommended a material. They then asked how much I needed. Since it was less than a full sheet, they checked their scrap pile and found a good piece that was enough for me. Cut it to size and saved me lots of dollars. Will be my go-to lumber yard!

Super helpful finding an odd thread

My Dad was a contractor and Ive been coming here for decades. This place has beautiful wood - huge slabs of bark edge redwood, zebra, Birch, alder, purple heart, poles up to 20 ft and longer. Just picked up 12 in diameter poles and they cut them to size. And molding. Beautiful molding. The store has all the hardware and the guys are helpful. Its much bigger than you think and worth the stop.

This Lumber and hardware store is one of the last small family owned building supply businesses in our area. If you are looking for trim mouldings they beat the big box stores prices. Knowledgable & courteous staff are more helpful as well. If you havent been there yet pay them a visit it is a welcomed change to real old time service.
