Arrived at 9:45 am for an appointment scheduled three weeks in advance and confirmed at least six times by Pep-Boys. I ordered special tire from Amazon and Pep Boys does install and receives tire direct from Amazon. First they couldnt locate the tire. Then they located the tire and I was advised to sit in the waiting room. I also received a text message with a link to follow my vehicle thru the install process. Its now 11 am I asked the service tech for the status. I was advised it will be completed shortly. Its now 11:45 and I saw my truck hadnt moved from where it was parked. Then I advised the service tech that I had other obligations and if he couldnt get it completed by noon we would need to re-schedule. Service tech assured me that if I returned by 1 pm I would be taken care of immediately. I returned at 1pm as I was advised and told I will get you right in. At 1:45 pm I checked the status and my truck was still parked and nothing done. When I asked the service tech. Whats the status? Once again I was advised it will be awhile. At that point I stated do the work now or I will send the tire back to Amazon. They handed me my keys and I left. Couldnt care less if I stayed or left.
Pep Boys on Copans is now my go to place for tires. Seems like no one has tires in stock anymore and wants days of lead time. Realized this morning that I needed new tires. Called and they scheduled me in and completed the work plus an oil change the same day.They also made me aware of parts that need to be replaced in my 2008 car. Its work they dont even do so its not an up sale. Just great customer service.Highly recommend Pep Boys on Copans for tires and routine maintenance.
This place is absolutely horrible. Went in for a oil change and was told about my intake manifold.. which I’m fine with. They did not refill my coolant which is part of a oil change and as I’m driving home my car overheats due to no coolant being in the car. No leak from my manifold no coolant or fluids on the ground and all the manager tell me is oh it must have came out while you were driving.. worst place I’ve ever been in my life. Never again in my life
Called ahead for a quote on a vehicle inspection and was told a crazy number by a less than thrilled employee. I hung up and called a bunch of other places instead.The next day I called back because Ive always had good experiences at pep boys and was hoping I just had an upset/uninformed employee. John the service manager answered this time and was very friendly and convinced me to come in. He took excellent care and went above and beyond explaining everything to me. His professionalism and friendliness will be the reason I come back for all future auto repairs! Give that man a raise!
Brought my company vehicle a few weeks ago to have the oil changed. They ended up doing brakes (which I was informed about). However they replaced my wiper blades (I had beam blades on which were fine), with conventional rain x blades without my knowledge. I just realized this a couple of days ago when it began to rain, the picture attached is the drivers side blade completely coming off in the middle of a rain storm while driving on the turnpike.I’m currently parked on the side of the highway waiting for the rain to die down so I can get home safely. Consumers beware.
Ordered tires through Amazon with this Pep Boys location to mount balance & installation on my 06 Silverado rims that I had milled to fit my 05 Colorado now Grant you the lug holes on the Silverado rims are different sizes than the Colorado but lug pattern is the same.They didnt tell me until after they mounted all four tires on the Silverado rims that they wouldnt install them on my truck,that and a Piss Poor aditude and could care less about giving me a heads up before hand.Personally Im glad Pep Boys is going by the Way Side just like Manny Moe & Jack three Heads in the Sky dead and gone as far as Im concerned.

I came into the shop today for services and found out more was wrong with my car. It couldve ruined my evening but Tim provided great customer service, took care of me & educated me on my car to prevent future issues. I have been a regular since I purchased my vehicle back in 2018. I have worked in customer service my entire life, so I know how hard it can be but I cant say thank you enough! This isnt the first time that Tim has assisted me with my car, so kudos to him on his customer service & knowledge of vehicles!

Update 2, I got there at 11 am for my appointment, at 1 pm I find out that even though it said they had my tires instock they didnt. They had to go get 2 tires, they didnt tell me this until I complained. If they had told me I would have gone home for lunch. Being a diabetic lunch is important. But they kept it a secret. I left there after 4 hrs. But I guess it could have been worse, the man checking out with me had been there 6 hrs.From what I can see there is no management at the store.Update: I guess Pep Boys Auto is no more but the tire dept is still there. Interesting. I purchased my tires online and set an appointment for installation the next day for 11 am. That all went smoothly but when I got there at 11 am, I was told a tire guy called in sick and they were behind. It happens but I hadnt planned on spending so much time there. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Sadly the waiting area is bad and small. 6 seats. A second area when you walk in has some seating to. Too bad the store experience wasnt as good as the online experience.Easy to find. Good parking. Friendly staff. Had what we needed.

Had a scheduled appointment for new tires. When I arrived they were unable to take me. Rescheduled for next day. Staff was rude and still unable to take me unless I wanted to wait 2 hours. Never will I do back there again.James Adams
Came here for a diagnostic test. The manager John assisted me, looked at the car to get the mileage, while realizing that no light came up on my dash board. He went on to ask series of questions to get an idea of what may be wrong with my car. After a few seconds he told me it sound like the computer, which was more information than I got from the actual Chevy dealership I purchased my car from. He also informed me that I should have a 5yr/60k Powertrain Warranty (I have about 42,000) that may cover my issue and encouraged me to go to another Chevy dealer to find out what it covers because I shouldnt have any expenses with that Warranty. He even wrote down questions to ask and gave me his name and number to call if I started having a hard time with the gentlemen at the dealer. John couldve completely ripped me off (especially as a woman), taken my car in and charged me an arm & a leg but he didnt, Happy to know there are some ethical mechanics in the word! Very seldom but I am forever grateful for John.
Tim was very helpful, i took my Silverado in for routine maintenance and brakes, had my truck back before the end of the day, lots of discounts for lots of services made it a fair price, they also offer 0% financing for 12 months, can only speak from my several experiences with this location and would highly recommend, Thanks PepBoys! Im sorry I will no longer be a customer for the following reason: Your sig. Tim started in a rude tone over the phone annoyed by my English (my primary language is Italian). I went to the appointment on time and he tried to add $ 40 for an elusive oil leak test as I didnt always accept with a rude tone, he told me I had to wait more than two hours. So I went home to leave my wife, I waited for them to have their lunch break and I came back to change the oil talking to a man other than Tim who didnt give me any problems. asking for the delivery forecast again Tim intervened and sent me away because he did not guarantee same-day delivery, wanting to schedule the appointment. I am very disappointed that an appointment should be guaranteed within one hour! Good luck.
I guess this place is just a service center now. I went to ask about having an alignment, I had a front tire replaced after the old one had a big puncture in it. I decided not to get the alignment done because I wasnt financially prepared to buy 3 new tires at that moment.
John, the service manager, was amazingly attentive which I truly appreciated because whomever I dealt with when I dropped my car off was quite the opposite and did not seem to even want my business. John made me feel my business was appreciated. I will continue to bring my business to Pep Boys!!
Very bummed out its a service only now (and that i missed the closing sale) but before that they are exceptional. As a small woman i often get overlooked by employees at auto shops (despite knowing more than they may think) but this pep boys was the only one i ever had no issues at all in.
Disgusting experience, I bought a fuel electric gasoline pump and was my mechanic mistake, after few hours I came back to return, absolutely sealed and never used, very easy to verify and check, the manager smell the box and Said was used because smell gas, I said no way I was there 100% of the times, maybe is the mechanic hand smell or something, and the mechanic is a costumer of this store for more then 10 years without any problems, is a very kindly honest guy. I don’t recommend. Very disappointed. Was a 40 dollars part. Not about the money, is about the behave.

Very disappointed in the service I received at Copans Pep Boys. 3 strikes and you are out. 3 times were asked to find out why the battery kept draining. Requested full test on what is causing failure and Only answer was to replace the battery. Claimed test was done. Not.
It seemed to be a problem I stopped in and asked follow up questions. Maybe the service industry is not for them. A little customer service goes a long way.
Had an 11 am appointment, no one at the counter so I waited, then asked a guest that was sitting in the waiting room if I was standing at the right counter, he said the guy was outside so I went out and I never got the mans name because he was a complete jerk saying just wait and I’ll get to you when I can. Then told the lady he was helping” I already said it twice, follow me” I didn’t like his Attitude at all. I left. Went down the road to Valvoline and had very nice people to help me and was probably in and out before I ever would have been seen.
Finding out your tire is flat from a screw or nail while youre at work and dont get off til 6 sucks, especially when most shops close at that time anyway. This shop is open til 9pm and the guy in charge of the repair garage made sure that I was able to get my car back before close so I could drive to work the next morning.Yes, there was a 2 hour wait, so I went back home and they called me promptly when the repair was done to make sure I had enough time to get there before closing. They are very busy and I can tell just by looking, so I really appreciated them squeezing me in. Best part? 23 bucks, cheaper than Firestone and some other auto repair shops in the area open past 6.The (I assume) store manager checked in on me twice to make sure that I was being helped in a timely manner which I appreciate, but he should have a little more faith in the respectful young man working at the repair counter!
The store manager and mechanic techs at this location are very unprofessional, rude, unknowledgeable, lazy, not willing to take accountability for services that were provided inaccurately. I took my car to get a new battery installed and within a month 1/2 my car completely starts to shut off. Took my car back to this same location where they installed my battery and the store manager checked the battery and it was saying low charge but could be the alternator or something else while walking away. Took the car to another location to get a multi point inspection and guess what, battery failure. Went back to this same location and they stated the battery was good giving me a printed report from a battery test which, includes the wrong date, time, and wrong vehicle VIN#. I really think the entire staff at this location needs customer service training and car inspection training a well.
I had oil change appointment, went there 10 min early, person on counter(Tim) made me wait for 8 minutes while he was talking to someone for non business related, while my turn came, he said minimum 2 hours wait time, I said can I bring back after 2 hours and he said no, this is 2nd time I experience his rude attitude, not going anymore for this Pep boys for sure
I have a 2008 Honda Accord. Brought it in for an oil change. Was called 2 hours later thinking it was ready to be picked up, the manager tells me that while removing the plug, the threading from the pan came off with it. Having knowledge of the process of an oil change works, I asked if it was leaking oil upon arrival, was told no. Was then told it was going to be 4 HOURS LABOR, totaling almost $550 plus the part, told him this is unusual as it should have been leaking if was tightened too much at last oil change the dealer did. He said he agreed. So I then asked how it it possible for this to happen and was told “this happens 3-4 times a month” and that “Honda’s have aluminum pans” … needless to say ALUMINUM PAN ….. hmmm you’d think if it was over tightened at last oil change, … shouldn’t it have been leaking . He agreed. So I asked again, since it wasn’t leaking, what caused it… he continuously played the blame game on the HONDA DEALERSHIP, and told me to figure out if I wanted them to work on it or not. Called Honda down the street, they confirmed this happens multiple times a month with this same pep boys and that it is most commonly caused by the plug being TORQUED in with a power tool after draining it instead of taking the time to secure it properly. So this un-experienced mechanics willingness to be lazy and spend an extra 3 seconds to tighten properly, caused me almost $800. By the way, had it towed to Honda and their only charging me 2 hours labor… theese guys over here are either one of two things. 1) INEXPERIENCED KIDS or 2) EXTORTION ARTISTS. One thing I can say, not happily, is that they did NOT charge me for anything as they, in his words “ did not effectively change the oil” . Also, they agreed to hold my car overnight as they were about to close so I can have the tow guy come the next day, and did not charge me for that either which I am also great full for. I truly believe the manager was being forthcoming, but also believe one of his inexperienced guys deystroyed my oil pan due to laziness. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE! TRUST ME, TAKE HALF A DAY OFF WORK AND JUST GO TO THE DEALERSHIP!! MAY COST YOU AN EXTRA HOUR, BUT ITS GOING TO SAVE YOU WAY MORE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN…..
Im giving them one star because I cant give them to 0 I called and explained my whole entire situation and the gentleman wants to tell me that its irrelevant and was completely rude and I will not be using that Pep Boys ever and I am a Pep Boys customer from St Cloud location I will not be using this Pompano location at all if they do not like their jobs then they should quit. 90% of sales its customer service.
Stopped here for a slow leak in a rental car tire. The rental car company was of little to no help to me. They told me to visit a Pep Boys but didn’t give me anymore information - such as how long it might take for things to be approved by the rental company. When I got there Tim went above and beyond to help me. He knew just how frustrating working with a rental car company can be. He took a look at the tire and was able to fix it very quickly. To top everything off he put all the paperwork through to the rental car company. I highly recommend going here and ask for Tim!

This the absolute worst place I have ever been in my life. Made an appointment at 3pm for a simple oil change. My car never even left the parking space, so at 4:45pm I asked for my keys back and left. Every worker there walked around or did nothing at all. A complete joke. Dont waste your time like I did.

We went in for a diagnostic over a daytime running light. Vish made everything quick and easy, replaced a bulb and had us out of there in 15 minutes. This is the place to go!
Took my truck in because of a simple squeak in my wheel and it took all day for them to look at it and they wanted to replace a whole bunch of parts with 5 hours of labor, and they wanted to charge me $2,600 dollars. DONT GO HERE!!!

Pep Boys is always a good experience when I go there I had to stop to get a couple quarts of oil found a great deal on the oil. Was very pleased on the service the gentleman actually help me get the correct oil that I needed. To me its like a kid going in a candy store. I actually got great deals at that boys right now so do yourself a favor stop in and check it out very good experience.
We were from out of town and they were open on New Years day. Needed a flat tire repair. Tim (manager?) was direct and somewhat impersonal; I was concerned. Concerns were gone, however, when he addressed the problem quickly and efficiently. Simple repair done for free.Good reminder to not judge the experience until its done 🙂!

Very satisfied, Stanley G was the service advisor, did a complete brake check. Needed calipers and rotors, but ended up ordering myself and will install with the help of a neighbor. No charge for the inspection and diagnosis. Will be back for all of our maintenance needs. Probably due for new tires soon and will get them here, they are always professional and courteous.
Disgusting. The litter around the building makes is ghetto.The manager obviously knows about it but does nothing to keep the property clean and safe. It should have negative stars for disgusting outside areas. Inside, the help was nice however I had a 2:30 appointment for a simple oil change and it wasnt done until 4:10.

I bought a car battery from Pep Boys Yesterday online to get the online discount. Repeatedly service personnel at two Pep Boys locations tried to sell me a much more expensive battery that I did not need and that my car did not call for. This behavior is reminisce of the old Bait & Switch tactic of selling merchandise. Ill not be returning to Pep Boys for anything other than the warranty on this battery. This used to be a good place to buy parts before the pressure tactics were adopted!
My wife went there for a wheel alignment, and was quoted a price of $120 + tax.After the service was completed they added several fees to the bill which were not disclosed initially, bringing the total to $150+tax.
Did an online order for tires? Waited to pick up tires at Pep Boys 15 minutes, then they said they dont have the tires in stock that I had to drive to Coral Springs about 30 minutes away. At Coral Springs I has to argue for the online order price. Wasted an extra 1 and a half of my time. Understaffed location in Pompano. You would think the order would be ready. Verdisorganizted
Went for a free allignment check mechanic called me into the garage and showed me two bolts that had some rust he said he need two hours labor cost to loosen them I told him not to repair anything 30 mins later I was told to pay for an allignment although I explained to the service rep he will not give me my keys until I paid that was a ripoff I don’t trust that shop
Went here to get my tires done for a 10 GMC Acadia. Assistant Manager helped cross selling us on the Pep-boys card powered by Synchrony Bank and we were able to finance our tires with a great promotion as well! Thank you! Definitely will be coming back!
Manager was very obnoxious unprofessional, does not.want to refund or give a store credit for purchases made at a corporate store with a valid receipt.
Customer service is slow but they go out of their way to get it right. I feel safe going there and can always count on them to take take of me.

Not happy at all, they told me an hour and a half for an oil change, and up to 3 hours for tires. They didnt seem like the wanted the work. If I were back in Jersey it would have been done In under an hour. I needed 4 tires. Well I guess ill take my money somewhere else
I went in to fix a flat tyre with an appointment. I was first made to wait for two hours before my car was even taken in for a look - they said they were low on staff technicians (could have told me and let me decide if I wanted to wait or come back). When they looked at it they said it could be patched, and they said they patched it and waived the $20 which I thought was a great service. A few days after that the same tyre won’t retain air, and so went in a dealership’s service center and they told me the patch job was very badly done, and they didn’t fix the problem at hand. Plus there was a nail to the side of the tyre which would mean a new tyre - none of this was told to me by Pep boys. I will not go to this Pep boys again; very dissapointing service and quality of work.

My visit to this Pep Boys location earlier today was absolutely fantastic. Right from the minute I walked inside the store I was immediately greeted by friendly employees who made it known that if there was anything I would need help finding or assistance with that they would be glad to help me. Right away lets set the mood for the rest of my visit making me feel I was in a warm and caring place. Apart from that the store was kept very clean and orderly and was not in disarray. The presentation of all the products and the signage directing you to what part of the store you needed to get to was done very well making navigating the store quite easy. After finding what I needed as I made my purchase I was asked if there had been anything I had trouble finding or needed. I answered truthfully no, and with that I was wished to have a great rest of my day. I left with an absolutely positive experience that I would say is worth going out of my way just to come back to that location. Theyre doing something right there in that store.
This is absolutely the most terrible mechanic shop they’ll rip you off then won’t even do the service you paid for. All the mechanics after thieves and liars. They purposely mess up your car and if anyone have any business dealings with them or thinking about going there please do not. Trust me!
Had a positive experience here while in town. Unfortunately we had an emergency situation where coolant wasnt staying in the car and it was smoking under the hood. Stan was very personable and helpful, he put my mind at ease as soon as I explained what was happening with the car and it made me feel we came to the right place. I get a little wary about car repair shops and it did end up being a 1200 trip to Broward and a day spent at an auto repair shop which wasnt exactly what I had in mind, but overall this Pep Boys location went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get back on the road that same night to head back home without issue. Our tech did a fantastic job and it wasnt an easy one. We were the last customers to leave and it was on 4th of July. Thank you guys for making it happen!

I just went to Pep Boys after visiting 2 other stores to get a locking pin for my trailer hitch. I had no idea what I needed other than a locking pin. Joe was incredibly helpful and friendly. He took the time to figure out what I needed and even installed it for me. No one at the other stores would even come outside and look to see what I needed. Joe went above and beyond his job and tightened my bolts past the blue ring so my doggie stairs would not fall off. Joe was absolutely amazing and definitely deserves a raise for his fantastic customer service!! I will be bringing all my future business here. Thank you so much, Joe!!
Excellent, highly recommended. Sales rep Michael was courteous and professional, mechanic Edward was highly skilled and explained all to me (very helpful). Most importantly this shop is honest and straightforward. Prices are right too, in the lower end of competitive estimates. No wonder so many customers were there. I will definitely go back to this location next time my car needs servicing.

Be aware whit false advertise online. I order a battery for my ford van one day before schedule a service that was advertise as a no cost for installation and nobody call me before to let me know that I had to pay for ADDITIONAL ACCESS TIME. Again, was advertise as a free installation and AAT ( ADDITIONAL ACCESS TIME) no cost.
Dave and the staff at pompano pep boys is amazing. They understood my needs and timelines and went above and beyond to fix my car in lighting speed time. I no longer go to any other pep boys or mechanic shop. Dave has always been professional and respectful with a exceptional customer service!!

Made appt online, upon arrival the service desk told me their mechanic had gone home for the day and they were very limited with anything they could do, in addition he said their website was wrong for allowing to me schedule an appt at 5pm because they would be closing soon and refused to honor my appt. Left to go somewhere else. Ive had some good and bad experiences here in the past, yet now it seems it is becoming more tedious with every visit. Need to find someplace else, anyone have any recommendations?

Took my car in for battery test, after experiencing start up issues and requiring jump start earlier in the day. I was not too happy about having to deal with car issues after a long day at work! Who wants to deal with that? I was more than happy with the level of service I received, all thanks to Rochelle! She made my experience a very positive one and it was painfree! She was pleasant, kind, knowledgeable, patient and thoroughly explained different product options! Even though the store was busy and the phone seemed to be ringing consconstantly, it was clear she wanted each customer to have a positive experience! I wish all businesses provided this level of service! She was AWESOME!

Appointment booking on the site does not work. Do not book after 6pm it will not cut anyway. No mechanics on site after 6pm.
The worst experience ever .... I schedule an appointment to change my tires, I called before arrived and confirm the appointment, when I arrived they received my keys and I waited for two hours and they didn’t touch my car, when I asked them they started the job and then somebody told me that the tires i requested were gonna arrive until the next day at 4 pm ... that is completely un profesional... I don’t recommend this place .

Horrible service all around. I told the gentleman I can come get the tires done tomorrow if you’re backed up. I only have 1.5 hours right now and I know it can take some time. The guy says “it will only take one hour for you sir don’t worry”. He took my girlfriends credit card over the phone just to make the sale!!! I said well I can just do it online then you don’t have to do that. He said it’s better for him to just enter the numbers at the desk. I even said “is that allowed”. He said “yes no problem at all”.Over 4 hours later and I’m still here! They have one guy working on at least 4 cars while he has an off topic conversation with a friend (who shouldn’t even be allowed in the area since he doesn’t work there and isn’t even a customer). The other two employees only care about some fake car show outside where high schoolers in Honda civics just blast music for hours. It’s a great car show if you’re interested in seeing cars under $20k. I would have much rather spent $20-$50 some where else and saved almost 5 hours of my life.Don’t trust this place or it’s employees. A sale or coupon isn’t even worth it. I wonder how much longer I will be here....

After a day of disappointing stops at 3 shops to get a tire fixed we decided to stop at pep boys Pompano Beach, a big thank you to Tom for helping us and getting us back on the road!!!
Mr Tim did all the transactions for me to fix my car... He was very polite and helpful my car is very good thanks guys u are the beat in town!!!!
AJ was great! I had my oil changed there and my tires rotated. They are great people! Professional service and will be taking my car back there from now on.
Anthony D was cool. My front tire was cupping. He got me a good deal on a new tire. l wanted an alignment but unfortunately I had tie rods issues. Im still happy though. My car isnt pulling too much anymore. This shop wasnt pushy. They gave me a printout of everything that needs to be done and I was out in less than a hour. Thanks Mr. Dougherty!
I went here to have my cars AC checked. The service was good they politely explain me that they didnt find any issue with the AC and mentioned that the flashing I had seen on the dashboard couldve been the AC compressor but nevertheless he found the system normal. Excellent experience.
Neil is a very helpful Guy. he is very knowledgeable. he know what hes doing. he sits at a desk toward the front entry. I always go to him for any types of questions. He goes that extra mile for his costumers. Example: today I was looking for a car alarm system, which pep boys doesnt carry he was able to tell me some security shop nearby from the top of his head. And he also pull up a map on the computer to show me my options. Beware Hes a good businessman which makes him a great salesman. To sum it up, Neil is a pep boy
