I wanted to share my experience with replacing tires on my 2003 GT PT Cruiser. Mike and his Dad (Ed) have made me feel like I am family. Their pricing is fantastic and the people that work for them have been there forever.Automobile repairs are most always stressful for anyone. But not at Auto Spot The quality of work performed was top notch The entire staff is very skilled and competent.Everyone at Auto Spot has old school work ethics, good work habits and emphasized on getting the job done right. I was impressed with their commitment to demanding a top quality job.In a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, Auto Spot is a rare find. I took this step of writing this review because I believe that exceptional work should be recognized. I would not hesitate to use Auto Spot again. I moved to Pompano Beach from Miami about 2 months ago, needless to say I needed a new local mechanic. Luckily my new apartment is two blocks away from the Auto Spot. I looked them up online and passed there shop daily for work, I decided to go in to fix my A/C and a broken coolant reservoir. Ed the owner had it fixed within a day and with very cost effective pricing, so cost effective I decided to fix my front end suspension and steering the following day. All in all when I did my due diligence on pricing and labor cost for the same work at other nearby shops, it was double the price . Im glad at the speedy and professional service at the Auto Spot... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

The father and son team of Ed and Mike make you feel like being a part of their family of customers. Dealing with these fellows is like a throw back in time to Mayberry USA where everyone was taken at their word and doors were never locked. It is hard to not get excited about the honesty and integrity that is paramount in their service and recommendations to their customers. I drove 48 miles to Autospot to get tires for my VW Golf. It was well worth the trip. Great people, and Roger (tire man) did a flawless job without scratching or gouging my wheels. He even tire-shined my new tires. None of the other tire places do that. I will definitely give them my future business with a very high recommendation to others.

Local mom and pop shop. Family owned and operated. Turned an old dinner into a mechanic shop. They go above and beyond wants needed. Alway talk to Mike though. He secretly runs the place, knows his stuff, and take notes. Ed is the boss, and probably knows more than any one man should. He is single handedly the more important resource in the shop. Honesty, integrity, loyalty are word I would use to describe them. Be honest and straight with them. Betsy the cleaning lady is the best.

Just to moved to Pompano Beach and found Auto Spot on Google because of the excellent reviews, Near my Apt., and satisfied customers. I had some issues with my car overheating and met the owner Ed and told him that I was hurting for money because of the move and working less because of Covid-19. I had a broken radiator hose and a couple of other minor problems like a dead battery. Ed called me and said he repaired my old hose and was able to charge my battery to save me money. I knew right then and there that I was dealing with an honest and respectable repair shop. The whole crew there is knowledgeable and look out for their customers so that explains to me why they been in business for 47 years. I would recommend them to anyone for auto repairs.

This is a little local repair shop that has been around since the seventies. We stopped to have our brake lights checked and they were quick and efficient. I overheard some of the prices being quoted for repairs I have had done in the past and I would go there in a heartbeat if I did not live on the other side of the state.

Great placed, whenever I have any issue with any of the house cars where I can’t do the job myself I take it to them. Not only that one time I asked for an alignment and they came back and told we could do it but won’t last you since your strut mounts are shot. And they knew I could do that sort of work so before they went ahead they told what I should before the alignment I did it, came back as the happily did my alignment. And I’m very picky person, that alignment better than I’ve ever had for the life of my car.

Ed and Mike are the best! Went to a dealership first and they told me I needed a new engine, took it for a second option to the auto spot and they correctly diagnosed a simple issue that cost a fraction of the price! Not only did they save me $, but they make you feel like family! Will never go anywhere else again!! Your guys are the best!

I was a first time customer. I went to them because of the positive reviews. On my first visit I had an issue and I thought I made a mistake by going there. But then the day after my visit, Ed the owner called me and he fixed the problem for me. I have not seen that kind of follow up in years. I was very pleased. Their is no such thing as perfection. Issues will happen from time to time no matter where you go but how Ed addressed it is what I think sets them apart. Their is a reason they have been their for a long time with lots of positive reviews. I will definitely be going back.

You know those auto repair shops where you leave feeling like youve just been had? Forget about that with Auto Spot. I went there with both of my front power windows not working and they charged me a couple hundred bucks less than what the dealership and other repair shops were charging AND they turned it around in one day. Oh, and the other repair shops stated they would have to order the pieces so I wouldnt have the windows working for a couple of days. This place is gold, and its all because they wont take you for a ride (pun intended) and they respect the customer. Ill definitely be back as needed.

A friend of mine recommended The auto spot for anything and everything for my car..in Feb of this year my tire exploded so I decided to check this place out.. I ended up needing four new tires, a new battery, and a couple of other things... I went back last week to have my car looked at and they determined I needed new rear brake drums...I came back today and it is probably the only auto mechanic shop I havent dreaded walking in to.. the prices are reasonable, the owners are personable and honest, and they explain things in ways I can understand (car talk isnt my area of expertise). I would recommend the auto spot to everyone!

I was in a real bind last week with my car and needed some major front end work done in order for me to stay on the road. I use my car for work all week long and most weekends. Not only was I able to go to Ed and get a quote before they touched my car, but they were also able to take me in right away.Now Im sure everyone has gone to a mechanic before and received a quote prior to them actually getting under the hood and more times than not you go back to pick up your car and the bill is significantly higher than estimated... well, it turns out I needed a few more things done to my car that wasnt mentioned in the quote.... But, guess what... I wasnt charged any extra money.. Ed honored my initial quote and took care of the other repairs at no additional charge...Seriously, with all these mechanics out there just trying to make a quick buck, its nice to finally find a shop that takes pride in their work and is honest with their pricing. Lovely atmosphere and perfect experience

Good bunch of people, friendly and fair. Got my brakes and rotors replaced very quickly and they work like a charm. My E brake however had stopped working afterwards (Manual)... but Ed was very accommodating and had me in to have a quick adjustment. Now it works better than when I bought it :D

There is a reason you see a lot of 5-star ratings here. Auto Spot is a group of good people. Yes the hours are a bit tight but they work with you on a lot of things to make your life easy. Having been there since 1974 and still around actually means they must be doing something right!

Whenever I take my car to a garage it is always a scary experience. If they tell me that my flux capacitor is broke..... Well then I say...... How much does it cost for a new flux capacitor???. However, at the Auto Spot in Pompano Beach, they explained things to me in a way that I could understand. Its hard to express how valuable that is to me. It is refreshing to know that there are still good people in this world. If you are looking for quality work at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this place.

Ed was such a gentleman the whole time I was there. I drove down to Pompano beach from New York, it was my first time doing the drive, and when we arrived I noticed one of my tires had a slow leak. I was dreading dealing with a tire shop, I thought they wouldve saw New York plates, and would of ripped me off!! But Ed treated me and my family like his family, he sincerely wanted to make sure our tires were in the best shape possible for the drive back up to New York, he explained to us what we needed, showed us the source of the leak, and explained our options for repair,with all the pros and cons of each option, and gave us a fair price for what we needed. I DID NOT GET RIPPED OFF!!!!! The female behind the counter (Eds wife) was very nice, and made my 4 year old son and wife feel very comfortable. I will definitely recommend this place to visitors and locals alike!!!5 STARS!!!!

The true meaning of Customer Service. Honest good hearted people work here. This can sometimes be a rarity in South Florida but this place is the exception. I noticed that this shop had many great reviews on Google Maps, so I tried them out for an oil change. Price was a bit higher than some of the quickie lube places but you will never meet a nicer bunch of folks, and there was no pressure to fix anything additional - which made my visit easy going and relaxing. This is definitely a Mom and Pop type of shop, and these days that is something I will happily go out of my way to support!

Its as if it was my own family business the way I get treated here. Mike is really relaxed, knowledgeable and no pressure. My service here on my 2015 Jetta TDI was when I first moved here to Florida back in November. When it was time to replace my battery because it would not hold a charge. They got me in right away! On August 21, 2014, I took my car to a dealership for repairs and the tech quoted me a price hat was well over my budget. Needless to say, he repaired my car for half the price the other dealer quoted me!!! Wow, what can I say about this place? EXCELLENT customer service and great people to do business with. I recently purchased a used vehicle and was unsure what it all needed. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and a possible spark plug change. Auto Spot called me on my phone to keep me updated with the repairs. They informed me I didnt need spark plug changes as all was well and called to tell me this. Alot of other mechanics just do the work to get the $$$. Very honest place and secured a customer for life. I will not go anywhere else besides the Auto Spot. What great customer service and good honest people who care for their customers.

Let me share my experience with this place. I’m visiting Florida from New Jersey and last night in my car Ford Escape check engine light came on. Called local Ford dealer and had the answer that my car could be checked on Saturday ( I’m leaving tomorrow, Friday). To have peace in my mind I stopped by at Auto Stop and asked the owner if he could scan car computer for the problem. He asked his mechanic to do it and found out this is not big issue but should be addressed upon my arrival to New Jersey. I wanted to pay him for diagnostic fee but there was no charge even knowing that we might will not meet in the future. Great experience. Thank you.

My family and I drove down to Pompano beach for our family vacation all the way from Charlotte, NC and experienced a few unexpected car problems along the way. One of those problems possibly involved my transmission...not something you want to deal with while you are 10 hours away from home base. Being in a town we are unfamiliar with, and not know anybody...we went to look at reviews of local shops. Autospot got raving reviews from locals and visitors alike, so we called up and explained our situation. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and told us to bring it in when we can and they will happy to take a look.We came by yesterday a bit before they were going to close up shop(on a friday), but the owner(cant remember his name, sorry!) didnt shoo us away or make it seem like it was an inconvenience. In fact he was incredibly helpful to us, had our vehicle looked at and solved our issue. Pretty quick too. His tech was very informative on the issue we were dealing with, as to why/how/what it was and what to look for if it persists. They even sent my daughter home with some souvenirs. Autospot made us feel comfortable and and ease as soon as we walked in, even though I was possibly dealing with a very expensive problem. This is a perfect example of an honest, knowledgeable, and dependable business. Thank you guys!

Ed Waldhorn who owns the AutoSpot is really a honest and sincere man and so is he son. They tell you like it is and dont fix things that do not need fixing. He worked on my 1993 Corvette, where the brain died, optispark was in bad shape, changed dry rotted window seals and did a lot of work to the engine.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this establishment!

Wow. What a bizarre experience I had with Mr Waldhorn yesterday. Let me preface this by letting you know that I have been taking my car EXCLUSIVELY to the Auto Spot for close to a year and half now, and have spent nearly 2,000 dollars in that time- Up until yesterday, I havent had any complaints (as far as I was aware).Dropped my car off for some work yesterday, and after the initial call from Mike on what needed to be done, I received a second, more urgent call from Ed. His tone was helpful and urgent in saying I had a BIG problem with my wheels/lugs and that someone has DONE this to my car via using an auto wrench.Well, then I reminded him that they have been the only ones to work on my car for over a year and that I had come in just a few months ago to have new tires installed and a rotation. Makes sense for me to bring that up, right?Immediately Mr. Waldhorns tone changed with me from helpful to irritated and angry. He said things to me like, Well what do you want me to do about it? and Crucify me then! when all I was asking was why am I just now finding out about such a huge problem when they removed all four of my wheels only a few months ago. He continued to say Im not the one that did it, The tech did this and the did tech that etc etc. He even went as far to tell me twice that I make him want to put a gun to his head and blow his brains out. Ver batim. Twice.It is evident from his reaction that the problem with my car is due to negligence within his shop and employees (you see, my wheels have a lock, and an auto wrench is not supposed to be used on it, but laziness prevails sometimes), and rather than accept responsibility, he has a temper tantrum like a child. I honestly couldnt believe it, especially after having been going there for some time.So now, I have a 1,200 mile road trip and no possible way to change a flat tire along the way without a tow and a mechanic! Thanks Auto Spot! I have been a loyal, well paying customer for over a year. Perhaps it is time for Mr. Waldhorn to retire, at least from customer service. Even my boss, a business owner himself, couldnt believe his behavior, as he assisted me in picking up my car, and Ed just couldnt help himself by carrying on in the shop in front of us both. Mike sat there silently, I am sure it is not the first time he has had to deal with this type of behavior either.I will be taking my hard earned money and my raving reviews of you elsewhere, and I will be warning people of your techs negligence, lack of attention to detail, and your inability to cope with mistakes. Also Ed- You should seek help for your suicidal thoughts- telling a customer you want to kill yourself twice isnt a good sign! Best of luck sir! :)

2003 Buick Rendez-vous; Engine Check Light on; Called for a RDV i had on same day. Meet Ed and waited about 20 minutes until the mecanic man come back from lunch than the first one check the diagnostic code but had noting to serious to invest time and money for he told me.Thanks Steve and Ed for taking the time to secure mi concern.From Marcel And Antonine From Quebec, CanadaTHREE WEEKS LATERHad to go back to secure my wife and I on the day of departure back home (1600 miles drive) regarding a funny noise occured last evening. At 10AM on my way home without RDV Ed reconnized me and rapidly came to check the situation. Diagnostic, have to replace the strut and a tire. Ed get in touch with all parts distributor of Fort Lauderdale and finaly found parts at Miami. Got it by 4PM and at 5:30PM was ready to to drive back home securely.Specials Thanks to EVERYBODY for the EXCELLENT sERVICE you gived us.Wont forget our friends now BACI and LUI and will bring them a ball next time.AGAIN THANKS D AND NANCY FOR TAKING TIME.Ps. were back home on monday may 4 8PM without having anymor problem.
