I went to Sample Road Hardware for the first and last time last week. The store is poorly stocked and seems like the equivalent of a “hardware” dollar store. I came looking for a few plumbing fittings, and when they didn’t have what I needed in stock, I was informed by the “manager”, Todd, it was because of COVID. Huh? I was skeptical about this answer, and had my doubts confirmed when I found what I needed at the well-stocked Ace Hardware up the street in Deerfield. BTW, Todd should buy some deodorant…

Nice folks there, with that smaller-by-comparison venue personal touch thats missing from the mega-centers. Well-organized and well-stocked; helpful staff. Had what I was looking for, where only answers I got from the big guys when asking about the particular item was pretty much DUH.

This store has a fantastic staff and they take care of their customers! Took me to the items on the shelf and offered me many selections. The staff was very knowledgeable about the fasteners and has a huge selection. The stainless steel is a whole aisle and the stainless metric is on a different aisle. Had everything I needed and more!

That is the place to find nuts and bolts that U cant find in big chain stores.If U need an advise about construction materials U are in the right place,They will be happy to help U out. For them U are a customer not a number like some big stores.... U can choose from earth worms to bird feeders to working clothes, tools, nuts and bolts. and a Great Service!!!

Great hardware store. Small footprint as far as size, but they a nice selection of plumbing supplies, paint, tools, air handler filters and if you have questions they are available to help. Much easier to navigate than the big box stores.

I went I go see if they could match a paint sample. The color was close so I suggested we put a white piece of paper under it or add the additional paint chips to increase the chance of it reading the color. His response was I have worked here 11 years and know how to use the machine. I wasn’t suggesting he didn’t I was trying to solve the problem. I went to leave and said to the clerk if I was going to spoken to like that I wouldn’t be shopping here anymore. He refused to give me his name and. Said it didn’t matter if I shipped their again or not as he heals never seen me there before. At that point I asked for a manager who then proceeded to tell me since I didn’t live in the neighborhood I shop elsewhere. I have to say if that’s how they treat customers I won’t be shopping at any True Value.

The lady at register was very rude ....I was there to return something, so I wonder if thats why. There is NO EXCUSE no matter what. seems kind of wierd, and PARANOID in there,,,,The employees,,,i mean mainly.

1st impresión was. The store is organized.2nd The items I purchased just 2 days ago needed to be returned. I came with the recive. And I was given a bad treatment because of that, asking me for full name and address and phone? What!!! Purchased cash to. Not understanding the purpose of it. And they lady got upset. because I refuse to give her my home address, name and my cellphone # .I was advised to lie and make something up. What!!!!!The return was made, and after I was advised not to never step a foot in the store that they don’t want our business.Thanks much . Am the one that won’t be coming back .

Ok this store has a huge nut and bolt section, lots of metric, stainless, grade 10.9 metric, and the store is full of product and the staff is great.

They took care of me well. I ordered a fob key for my car, the key specialist will drive to me to reprogram the new key to my car. Value was fair and luckily I didnt pay for it at the dealership.
