They have new owners and are so much better than before! Great products and well organized!!

Its ok, the older employees are very impatient, the language barrier is terrible and they get frustrated easily when speaking to them. There is a young lady that works occasionally and she is nice and patient. I need a black owned beauty supply where the people treat you with respect and can understand what the customers are saying.

Prices are higher than other beauty supply stores.

Has a decent selection of products. They do have a large selection of hair. Store is clean and organized. Service has been really good. The associates are always willing to assist with any questions I may have.

Go to Lees instead!!!!!! Its straight down Perry onthe left! The only thing this store is consistently good at is providing POOR service. Their inventory is just ok. Its called K and N beauty supply now. I was in there for close to 30 mins. When I entered one of the ladies was painting her nails and they were talking to each other??? So I said HI! Where is your.... so as to notify them that I was standing there. I didnt see them again until closing time where they told me I had 5 mins but never asked if there was anything they could help me find. Ill spare you the rest of my story but they rushed me out so they could leave 15 minutes early shutting off lights and everything lol. I should have left everything on the counter and went to Lees lol! They would have actually had what I was looking for. You cant have my money and be rude. This was my 3rd and final time going here. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. FIND ANOTHER BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE.

J P now has a very beautiful wig section in the rear of the store. This location has been totally transformed and is now, in my opinion, the most clean, beautiful and organized beauty supply store in Pontiac. They just need to not have their music up so LOUD.

I have been going to this place since I was in high school. The people that own the place are the sweetest people I know. They have always treated me with kindness and respect. They have helped me choose products and find items that were a little tricky to find. I will always come here for my hair, products, and amazing customer service.

I havent seen the soft spoken gentleman and his wife in a while- they have great customer service. Theres a new woman working there (9/6/19 in the afternoon around 215), not sure if she took over. Called first asking about a product and she rushed me off the phone and hung up. I drove 20 to the place and the product was overpriced by $5 compared to other best supply stores in the area. I questioned her about it and she ignored me, wanted to me to make a decision to pay. Ive been going there for the past 10years. Never again! I refuse to promote bad customer service in or community. I give it a zero as of today based on her actions.

Decent local store for ths standard black woman hair needs. Yet, the level of watching surveillance intensity is unsettling and annoying especially for a well known non thief frequent customer.

The previous owners made you feel welcomed and as if you were part of their family! The present owners and employees (not all of them) but they are rude, very condescending, and have made it perfectly clear that they dont care about how family oriented the store was prior to their change of ownership. Mind you I have frequently visited this specific beauty supply for over 15 years! Needless to say with their lack of care or compassion for their loyal customers they will lose business.

Too expensive. Limited choices. Better to drive a couple miles to Pontiac to the beauty supply store next to Checkers.

I love this beauty supply store. It has a lot of variety & the owner and staff are very helpful and friendly.

Would have given 0 stars but not an option. Went in to get a wig, and the lady working was creeping on me and standing super close while I shopped, she was very unhelpful she didnt have an answer to any of my questions. She had made me feel very uncomfortable, therefore I left and did my business else where. However I did stop back in because I need a cap, and this time she did not follow me, but instead ignored me. After finding what I stopped in for I went to the register and no one was there to help, so I had to yell for her to come and cash me out. When she did finally come to help there was a .50 cent charge when using your card on anything below $5.00. I continued with my $1.06 purchase and gave her .50 then continued to use my card. She had inserted my card into the chip reading and it got declined, well actually the receipt said CHIP MALFUNCTION she had tried again, same result. she continued to tell me there was no money in my account, which there was. I would not recommend shopping here due to that unfriendly customer service, and the fact that the chip reader in there card machine does not work.

This place is owned by some of the nicest people Ive met. Since the expansion, I can usually find anything I want here.
