Dr. Zusman is a highly respected eye surgeon and specialist in eye disease and cataract treatment. Certainly one of the best in the state of Florida.

I have been with Dr Zusman for several years now. One visit was urgent, my right eye vision was “different”. Dr Zusman immediately acted to arrange for a retina specialist to see me ASAP. Turns out that I had a “Macular hole” which required retinal surgery to save my vision. I owe my vision to Dr Zusman for his expertise & no delay. He also is a kind & compassionate doctor. His staff are so very pleasant & attentive and knowledgeable.

Dr. Zusman performed cataract surgery on both my eyes, one week apart. He recommended monovision since I had had lasik surgery about 20 years ago. He and his staff spent a lot of time making sure they selected the correct lenses. I could not be happier. I dont need glasses for reading or for distances. The staff is exceptionally friendly and run an efficient office. I would highly recommend Zusman Eye Care Center.

I researched the reviews for Zusman’s Eye Care Center when I was having eye problems. I liked what I read! Now after two visits I am totally impressed from the receptionist to the assistants to Dr. Salami to the final checkout person. Everyone was so upbeat and genuinely friendly, helpful and professional.

Dr.Zusman is very professional and thorough! Had excellent quality care. The pay system is a pain as the machine doesnt work. Hope they get it fixed.

I was amazed with the service I received from this very warm, friendly and extremely professional staff. Dr. Zusman was very thorough and did a wonderful job explaining my cataract lens options. Later that evening he even called back after discussing my particular situation with his colleagues. The day of surgery went fantastic (from what I remember) and once again I was surprised when Dr. Zusman called at 8:00 PM that same evening to see how I was doing! The procedure went fantastic and my former bad eye (from an injury in the 80s) was seeing 20/20 again the day after.There was absolutely no pain involved during or after the surgery and no more prescription sunglasses, very satisfied!P.S. I witnessed the staff immediately cleaning all the equipment, including the chair you sat in after every use ... they did not wait to do it later they did it as soon as you got out of the chair and stepped away from the equipment.

I had a very good attention at Zusman Eye Care Center, they have all the specialized equipment, the service is very good and they are very kind and friendly. I highly recommend it!!

Dr. Zusman has been taking care of us for many years now and is a very caring individual. Although at this point in history I think the mask policy is farcical especially for vaccinated people.

One of the lenses popped out of my frames when out of town. Upon my return to Port Charlotte I went to see Nancy in the eye glass section of Dr. Zusmans practice thinking all I needed was a replacement screw. Nancy informed me that it was a broken weld and the frames needed to be replaced. She checked my records and told me that the frames were under warranty and ordered new ones. In the meantime, she put my lenses in another frame until the new ones were received. I never would have thought that this could be done! The new frames were delivered within 3 days and she called to tell me that--I went in and had the lenses switched out to my new frames. Nancy went above and beyond her duties to help me out and was very personable and professional through this whole process. Kudos to Nancy!!!

Went in for an annual eye exam. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dr. Solano was professional and had me on my way with a new contact lens prescription in no time. Highly recommend this office if you live in or are visiting the area!

Prompt, professional, well organized appointments. The staff are always warm and welcoming. Normally I see Doctor Zusman however for my last appointment I met with Doctor Daniel Solano. Dr. Solano is kind, compassionate and thorough, answering all my questions patiently. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Solano or Dr. Zusman.

Documented my appointment date, time and instructions. Waited 6 weeks for the appointment. When I arrived I was told I was an add on. Another lady said have a seat Im busy now. She then told me Im booked up I cant work you in. She then said your appointment is next week you will have to come back then. I informed her that my appointment was now but she informed me I was wrong, took my paperwork and threw it in a box. It was obvious she was in charge and wanted everyone to notice. Ive suffered this long I will start over with another doctor. Bad customer service.

Finally after 2 years of dealing with the TV commercial cataract surgeons that completely overcharge for upgraded IOL lens, put you through multiple appointments $$$$, their so called counseling which is for choosing their overpriced, outdated IOL lenses, different kinds of cataract surgery, and how to pay for them, we found an honest, board certified, excellent cataract surgeon, Dr. Neil B Zusman. Dr. Fs office and Dr. Qs offices both charge right around $4250.00 per eye for one of the best new IOL lenses out there, Alcon Pan Optix, but we had to ask for that lens! We were given a cheaper price of $3900.00 per eye for the old outdated IOL lenses and thats what they wanted to use, why you ask? Just a guess, but I bet they make more profit on them....seems like thats all they are about at both offices.Dr. Zusman was honest, up front, and gave my husband a great through exam. He even stated he needs cataract surgery in his right eye, but doesnt need it in his left eye. Dr. Zusman also stated if he wanted both eyes done he would do his right eye first, not the good eye he could see out of. He did not overcharge him for the same IOL Pan Optix lense for $2075.00 per eye.What a racket those two TV doctors have! Save yourself the frustration and aggravation, go see an honest doctor. He even stated once my husband has his right eye done, he will not need to have his left eye done for quite some time and felt he could get him great vision out of that eye with a contact lens. The other two were planning on doing his good eye first, left, and then doing his bad eye second. WHY? because that would then force him to have both eyes done! Finding out he didnt even need to have his left eye done was eye opening. I was also told I had cataracts a few years ago at Dr. Fs office... I was 60 at the time, and he himself also told me The insurance wouldnt question it at my age. I went to another doctor who told me I dont need cataract surgery.My sister works at Mass Eye and Ear in Massachusetts and is in surgery every day with great doctors. I had to call and ask her how much they charge for lenses and what are the best lenses out there. She said they have now been using the Alcon Pan Optix lenses but they do use the older ones if a patient requests them, of for some patients. They charge $1500-$2000 per eye per lens. Not sure if that is with the family discount but that is a huge difference from $4250.00 per lens!

I had a foreign object in my eye that was causing me great pain and causing my eye to tear up and causing a headache. Of course this had to happen on a friday night. I was expecting a whole week end of pain but called Dr. Zussmans office after hours. To my surprise the answering service picked up and arranged for me to meet the Doctor in his office SATURDAY morning. It proved to me Dr. Zussman puts his patients first. He diagnosed the problem and I felt like a new man by Saturday afternoon!

I have worked at Zusman Eye Care Center for over 20 years and find that Dr. Zusman and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly!
