We were looking for a landscaping rocks and were happy to see the selection at Murdoch Stone. They have a nice variety of various rocks and crushed stone for landscaping projects. It was rather busy at the time we visited but the staff were as helpful as possible and the prices were very reasonable. We thought we had purchased enough stone but we will be back for more.

Brian is so kind. All of his staff are too. I have ordered sod & gravel. I have picked up numerous loads of gravel. Always a pleasure doing business with you. Just sold my Port Charlotte home. Murdock Stones has great customer service and is very quick to respond! There is always someone in the yard, who is there to help whenever someone arrives, they came over to help me get my items into my car. Without me needing to ask for help. They are a very friendly family run business. Love this place, I always get exactly what I need here. Also all of the bins are lined in concrete which means you get only what you order no fill or dirt in the stone. Will be back!

My daughter and I purchased about 35 stones Of slate ranging in size 1-3 pounds at $.25 a pound for decorating an outside fire pit. Murdoch stone weight scale said that we had 290 lbs . Then said wait the handle of their wheel barrow was laying on the ground they promptly went and raise it in the air which changed the total weight to 293 lbs i knew that light tube handle did not weigh 3 pounds and was I said no way such small amounts of rocks could weigh so much - we paid them the $75 they requested. When we got home I weighed the 35 stones and discovered we were overcharged 50 lbs. Murdock Stones Scales are faulty were theIr scales ( maybe purposely) add weight about 1/3. I called the manager and advised him of his faulty scales but no resolution was offered, if you do business with them bring your own scales because they will overcharge you at least a third. Not a good way to do business. I was disappointed with their lack of service and their failure to do the right thing.

They were very easy to deal with and informative over the phone when I asked questions to place the right order. Delivery was within 2 hours! Would definitely recommend and use them again.

My wife and I went to get some rocks for her art project. The staff was super friendly and the price was better than expected.

Murdock stones is fantastic. I have used this company for many projects around my house. Projects Anywhere from as small as 10 bags of stone to create small planters with border stone purchased at the same location. Too upwards of 12 plus yards to create larger beds around the house. They are properly equipped for any size job per my multiple experiences. I also always receive great service dealing with this company. Any time I walk in I’m greeted with a smile, Biggest and best selection in town by far. You rock Murdock stones.

What makes Murdock Stones above the rest is their friendliness, helpful in many ways, and treat me with respect. Someone in the yard, who is busy loading a truck, will come over to help me get items into my car. Without asking for help, they do this. All I can say is, I truly like coming here.

Awesome customer service and they deliver. We only get our landscaping supplies here, from decorative rocks and stone to statues and weed mat. The local knowledge they have is so very helpful to those of us not native to Florida. They help us get the correct items we need and have stopped us from making costly mistakes. Not very helpful. They told me I could load some rock into my truck by hand because my truck cap prevents themFrom dropping a scoop. So I went home to get some shovels & buckets. When I came back they refused to sell me the rock cuz they thought it would take too long. I went down the road to a different place and they were happy to help me and it took me about 20 minutes to load about 20 buckets of rocks into my truck.

I stopped by the Port Charlotte location and was really impressed with the large variety of landscape supply available. They have some really unique stuff the big box stores just dont stock. While I was there I ordered delivery of crushed shell. The next day, the truck arrived right on time. The driver did a perfect job of navigating my yard and then dropping the shell in the 2 exact spots I requested. Murdock Stones seems to have it all figured out. Expert staff, great service and all the landscape supplies you might need.
