So glad I called first because the tech was so rude and insulting, she convinced me to go somewhere else. Best to call first to scope out who youll be dealing with. If theyre rude then why bother.
Am a regular customer at Target Port Orange Fl. and recently I bought new designer glasses. I need to commend the two employees that helped me along. I usually have my eye exam at the VA and usually they are excellent. my most recent eye exam however was not. I bought my glasses at Target and had them about a month. Because they are progressive I thought I would give them a little longer to adjust my eyes to the glasses, but to no improvement. Gretchen and Gina were very patient, testing everything again so I decided to get another exam, and sure enough it was different. Gretchen and Gina was very professional all through the process giving any needed advice. They ordered new lenses and this time they were great. I cant say how nice it was that they were able to find the problem and rectify the issue. Employees like this is a very valuable commodity.
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Menza. She was very kind and knowledgeable. Made sure to talk us through every step as we went. My 12 year old was being fitted for contacts and she made her feel super comfortable. The entire optical area was VERY clean. The staff was friendly. Making an appointment was very easy to do. There isnt one bad thing I could find to say, and Im usually one who can find something. This is a great place to go for both children and adults, and Dr. Menzas schedule is very convenient for working families!! Keep up the good work, we will definitely be back.
I went in there a couple of months ago to get my glasses made for the prescription I received from somewhere else. I waited the 2 weeks and picked up my pair of glasses and sunglasses and and there were two very noticeable scratches, one on each lense. They had apparently inspected them before contacting me to come get them and they looked at me dead in my face and told me to have a good day after giving me scratched glasses. I brought them back inside after noticing the scratches when I went out to my car and they told me that they would have them remade. I waited another 2 weeks and went back to get my new pair. After I left with my unscratched glasses, I gave myself at least a week to try and settle into the pair and I still wasnt able to see correctly. I went back and they told me to go to my eye doctor and get the prescription re-done. I get a new prescription and I go back to Target and I had to wait again for a new pair. Its been 2 to 3 months since this whole thing started and Im still not seeing correctly. I called the day before yesterday and left a message and no one got back to me until today and I was told by Gina that there wasnt anything else they could do for me because the glasses are made for the prescription. I had complained to her about how Id felt the employees treated me during prior visits and she tries to act like she cares, but she truly doesnt. I would not recommend ANYONE go here for glasses. These people have no business being in this field and the customer service is despicable. This has been the worst time Ive ever had getting glasses and seeing properly. Youd think these people care, but its a complete joke. I feel Ive wasted a lot of money with a disgusting practice. Theyll sign you up for more expensive options for more on their little commission without even telling you and rush you in and out of there as fact as they can.

I had a great experience at port orange target optical. My exam was quick and easy. The staff was great, Gina helped me pick out a perfect pair of glasses. Very pleased. Highly recommend!

When I made my appointment I was quoted $45 for an eye exam. I waited two weeks to get in for an appointment and drove 20 minutes one way to get there. I get to target for my appointment and go inside and they tell me it’s not $45 that it is $75. That is not what I was told when I made the appointment. They also have a rope up and won’t even let you inside of the store. They make you wait outside and stand up to fill out paperwork. If I could give zero stars, I would. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Very friendly and helpful! I was in and out in less than an hour. Both receptionists, as well as the optometrist, were very kind and ensured I was getting the best deal for my contact lenses.
Awful and rude customer service. Workers dont know when to just say sorry and that they made a mistake theyd rather argue and yell across the store at you. i will never be returning, but seems more like there loss than mine.

Supposed to be open until 8. Totally shut off at 645. Change the hours online or correct your employees closing the optical center early if you want to financially survive
My opinion...Great doctor but beware if you have insurance they will try to up sell you no matter what your insurance covers. The sales person told my daughter that her only option was paying $140 with the insurance and that was her cheapest option. My daughter asked if that was her cheapest option and was told it was. Since I wasnt there and familiar with our insurance I could not advise differently. My husband $250. I went in and paid $25...same insurance. The sales person we had WILL add on extras, so check your options and know what you are really paying for. I opted out of the extras and had to be a bit stern with her:(My husband and daughter where told the replacement plan ($35) would replace your glasses at no cost if broken. I went back when I had my appointment and got a brochure and it does not. We would have to pay $50 to replace the glasses. $25 lens and $25 frame. This could be fine if we where told that upfront. I felt we were misled. But they seemed nice there over all.
They are not very good at answering the phone but the doctor is great.
Awful, awful! Has been 5 weeks since I ordered my glasses. Their lab lost them and I’m still waiting for the re-ordered pair. I call to find out where they’re at and no one picks up the phone. I show up and they have no clue when they’re coming in. NEVER AGAIN.
The exam went fine, thorough and professional.The short coming is the high pressure sales and push for the “insurance” to cover your purchase.Shout out to GINA LOWENSTEIN who is the manager. She has proven to be absolutely rude and obnoxious when confronted with her teams high pressure sales practices. She will boastfully tell you that she has worked in that location for 12+ years and could care less about being a professional when addressing any concerns.
Unfortunately we took their advice regarding the glasses replacement plan only to find out they told us everything but the truth regarding that plan. When I went back to the Port Orange location to complain, the employee was not sorry, she defended her co-worker and claimed that it was me that was as fault. I contacted Target home office, they also shown no interest. The day after I received a phone call from the store manager, she also defended her employees actions and was not apologetic. I would suggest not to use this location or any Target eye center as they care only about you money and not your vision..

Dr. Menza is great, like if I ever lose my insurance I will pay to see her over anyone else. The associates are awesome too and very personable.

My husband had an eye exam and we wanted to order his glasses online. They did not include his pupillary distance on the RX. When I called to ask about it, the female that answered was quite snotty with her response. She stated She (the doctor) doesnt do that, even if she did, we wouldnt give it out. FYI the eye doctor at Walmart not only got my PD during my exam, he wrote it on the RX so I could order online and save. Buying from the store is WAY more expensive than ordering online. Our daughter had a simple RX and regular frames costing over 250$ from Target. The same could have been ordered online for $50.
