I had the best customer service at this location vs any other optical place I’ve been to. Cyndi took care of my issues I had with my lenses due to an error on my script that was caused by my doctor writing the wrong number down. She worked with my doctors office to get the correct numbers and I appreciate her care. I would highly recommend this location over any other place.
Great experience! Terri and Cindy were a wonderful greeting into the store. Dr. Cieslinski thoroughly walked me through my exam and I was in and out quickly and in less than 5 minutes I found the perfect glasses for me. With the help from Terri and Cindy of course!
Used to go to this place for about three years. The doctor is really nice until you have some preference that doesn’t suit him. He can get catty fast. The employees there really don’t want to work there at all. They are annoyed about every single thing you request (such as faxing over a prescription to a new eye doctor.)Find something you love to do so the rest of the world doesn’t have to suffer.
My husband purchased his glasses at the Crossroads Mall store in Portage approximately two years ago. His frames separated and the lens popped out yesterday so we went to the store this morning. We were hoping to either get them fixed or worst case scenario buy the same frames to put the lenses in.Upon arrival, my husband was greeted at the front of the store by Matthew Johnson and taken inside. Matthew looked at the frames folded them up and put them back in the case we brought them in. He told my husband no one could help him right now, even though there were no other customers in the store and there was another employee working. My husband, needing the glasses for work and driving, asked what he was supposed to do. Matthew took them back and popped the lens in the frame and handed them back to my husband. He said if we can do anything we will call you and handed him a business card.Several hours later and no one has called. Neither of us have ever had such a poor experience with this type of service. In the past I have broken other frames and have gotten them fixed even is only a temporary fix, or the employee has looked for a pair of frames to purchase, that would fit my lenses, so at least I could move on until I was able to get a new prescription and order new glasses.For the amount we paid for these glasses two years ago, in the 500.00 range with insurance, I would expect better customer service than this. I didn’t expect them to be covered under warranty but from past experience there were other options they could have offered and didn’t. They seemed unwilling to do anything to help him and were not even sympathetic to the fact that my husband needed these to work and drive.
Always a great experience here. Cindy was also exceptional with helping to choose the perfect frame. Definitely my 1st choice for my glasses and exam.

The exam went fine and the staff is Nice. That all being said. I paid a pretty high dollar amount for my glasses and its been over a month and apparently they are still not in. Just feel pretty screwed over.
The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They never return calls and over charge for all services and goods. I will never be returning. Also, they say they dont do refunds, but when I called corporate they say they do. This facility is full of money hungry scammers.

I went for a eye exam last year and it was 109$ I gave them my insurance info and I just found out they never even billed it to my insurance which is why they charged me 109$ instead of copay I would have payed! Don’t come here!
The eyeglasses are fine. The eye doctor is good. The customer service is lousy. Those people treat you like it’s a bother to help you. This is the second time these folks have been jerks to me.

NEVER AGAIN!!! My husbands appointment was in February. When he received his prescription, he knew immediately it was wrong and said something to the lady that was fitting his glasses. She suggested for him to wait a week to get adjusted (this was his first ever prescription) and then they shut down for covid. Once they opened back up, instead of getting us immediately in, we had to wait a month for another appointment for them to verify that his prescription from February was indeed WRONG. Here we are, one month later and still have not received his correct lenses! Theyre open times show wrong online and its become impossible to get in contact with anyone! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME! Biggest mistake coming here!!!

None of the frames have prices on them. How can you figure out if your insurance covers them without a price. Cindy told me my copay was $44, and then brought me two receipts. One for $44 one for $202. When i asked her about the 202 she said my frames were not completely convered by insurance.. I told her I wanted frames that were completely covered. I was so frustrated I dontt even know what glasses I got. She never did refund the 202, I had to dispute it with my bank. Total nightmare, read the other reviews Cindy has done this to multiple people. Do not go to this place!!!

I won’t be back. The doctor was friendly but the customer service is just awful. I ordered glasses and contacts and even though I provided insurance information, my order was run without my insurance. When I asked to get it corrected, it was only applied to my contacts (not my glasses, my insurance covers both). I had to call back multiple times before someone would answer or return my call to get it corrected again. My contacts were back ordered for a while, which is fine, but when they came, they were completely the wrong prescription. I was told more would be rush ordered to the store for me. I’ve been calling for a week and a half to try and pick up my contacts and nobody answers or calls me back. My appointment was over a month ago and I still don’t have usable contacts.
They make you pay for imaging without telling you! The bleached blond haired kid Klye was as helpless as they come. He had an attitude when I questioned him about it and was rude with his comments there after. If your going to charge people an additional imaging fee no matter what then dont give out paperwork that seems like I have to sign for it. The rest of the family will be going somewhere else.
Never buy glasses and contacts from this place! Way over-priced even with insurance! They told us trial pair of contacts would be in a week and half and here it is a month later and still not here! They are unwilling to do anything for us after spending hundreds of dollars on both! I would have never even gotten the contacts if they were going to take this long! The customer service is horrible they never even called us when they glasses came in! My daughter stopped by a week after they were supposed to be in and they were there but without a phone call!!!! So disappointed that I spent so much money and got lied to with terrible customer service I will never do business with them again!

Service is terrible. I purchased the lenses for my sunglasses 30 days ago and still havent received them. I called them at the 2 week mark. Response was not in yet. I called again at the 3 wk mark. No answer so after several attempts I left a vm msg. No one returned my call. Tried again a couple days later. Same thing - no answer no returned call. 4 wks now. I called was put on hold for 10 minutes - hung up and tried calling again 12 times with no answer. Drove to the location and waited 30 minutes in line for them to tell me that the computer says there is a delay in processing. They were unable to call because of course now its after 5pm and their lab is closed. The lady said Ill call first thing in the morning and call you right away with the info. NO ONE CALLED! I tried calling again and no answer several times. This is the worst service ever!I will not be going back!! Plus they are WAY OVER PRICED! Last year I purchased my lenses and frames from another location (higher end business) and paid half of what I paid this year for the exact same items and that was also with the same insurance plan. I have 5 in my family who wear glasses and/or contacts so what a major loss of business for them. It was a quick reminder of WHY I went somewhere else last year. Wont be making that mistake again!
My experience at the eye doctor overall is usually pretty strenuous but not at Pearle Vision! Pearle Vision at crossroads made my experience seamless. I was in an out in less than two hours which is a blessing from past experiences at other places. The staff here is very nice and accommodating, I could tell the staff genuinely enjoyed their jobs. Jean was very helpful in the lobby and my optometrist was very friendly during the exam!

I originally bought glasses from the Drake Rd location. The lenses dont fit the frames properly so they pop out often. I dropped by this location just to get my lense put back in. The lady was rude as possible, and told me it would take till Friday! Friday!?! For 5 minutes worth of work because they sold me glasses where the lenses and frames dont fit? This lady working front desk should be let go immediately. It was a terrible experience.
Dr. Matt was absolutely fantastic! He made my visit enjoyable and he was very helpful. I walked out with glasses and contacts. I never thought I’d be able to wear contacts and am so happy to be able to get them to work! Great visit!
Portage Michigan. They have the most absurd hours and scheduling practices. No one answers the phone, and their voice mail is always “full,” but you can’t pick up your glasses (that you already paid for) without an appointment. And you better be sure you can make that appointment it between 9a/3p mon-fri. Or maybe that’s not true... maybe I just think they close at 4p because the voicemail always SAYS I’m calling after hours..... WTFK?

The woman helping me spent all the time needed to make sure they were fitting to my satisfaction and then cleaned them for me---all with a smile and friendliness and no charge for her time and this service.I have ALWAYS liked Pearle Vision.They are service oriented!!

The team here is great! Theyre quick to fix any issues and the customer service is pretty stellar. For a big chain outlet, they made me feel important as a customer and remembered me during future visits. They also cared about my personal preferences and were great in assisting me in finding a new pair of glasses!As with any chain healthcare operation, however, you do have to be very clear about services you do and dont want, especially if they arent covered by insurance. If youre a conscious, well-researched consumer this place is convenient and great.
Say they offer a annual rebate but don’t understand program and said I would receive it when I wasn’t qualified. Keep saying they will call me back but never have after multiple attempts. Very shady. Receptionist is incapable of doing her job.
The staff here is the best. Ive purchased multiple pairs of glasses and sunglasses over the past 6ish years and they have never let me down. Always willing to help answer questions and provide service with a smile! Highly recommend making your next Rx purchase here!
Rachel was stellar! Hands-down the best representative I have worked with in the 5 years I have been visiting Pearle Vision. I walked in with only 20 minutes, she greeted me and told me she would be right with me (and she was). I told her of my time constraint and I have never seen someone work so efficiently while remaining professional and engaging. I havent always been happy with Pearle and was on the fence if I should find a new provider but I will come back just for Rachel.
I had a wonderful experience and will always come here for glasses. Cindy made it a absolutely fabulous experience. If more sales people would treat customers like she does, their sales would improve. Ask for Cindy when you go to Pearlvision.

Great experience! Everyone was pleasant and helpful. The doc was impressive, knowledgeable, and took time to explain things thoroughly.
The Dr. was great, no complaints there but this was my first time getting glasses and I felt like the sales staff took advantage of that. Maybe it has changed since I was there but I would watch out. I was up-sold everything and was told that the extras on the lenses were all or nothing, meaning if I wanted the blue light filter, I had to get the super scratch protection coating with it and every other extra. I ended up not getting anything extra because the price tag was crazy, turns out that isn’t the case, you can absolutely pick and choose. Had I known this fact they would have not only made a bit more money off me, but I would have had a better overall experience as a first time glasses user. Again, I get that this is a sales environment, I just feel like I was taken advantage of as a first time user, shame on me I guess for not reading and understanding everything better.To be fair I like my glasses and they have held up well, but after taking with other eye care facilities, I know how you should be treated. Overall I’d say if you HAVE to go here so be it, it was clean, the staff friendly and pleasant, I just wouldn’t recommend it at all for a first timer glasses wearer. Find someone else to take the time to go over all the options with you.
Non-existing customer care. Not committed to pricing and billing transparency. Leaving this place, I felt I was financially taken advantage of by the staff there. I still need to check my bank statement if I wasnt charged twice for the same product. A very unpleasant experience.

Teri was very helpful with helping me with selection and fitting me for a new pair of glasses. She spent a lot of time with us and was very patient and helpful with her knowledge. However, upon reviewing my bill after leaving I realized I was billed for services I didnt ask for or receive. Id recommend to see your bill and charges before you hand over your payment. I knew it would be expensive, but it seemed higher than it should so thats why I went line by line through my bill. One service is eye mapping. I didnt check the box that I wanted the service for $39, yet it was performed w/o me realizing it, and therefore I got charged for it. The other charge was for contact lens evaluation, but I didnt have an exam done at this visit and I said my contact prescription was still good so the doc agreed that we would keep it the same, had me sign a form and voila, I got billed $70. Watch your services and bill at this provider.

Really disappointing experience. I purchased glasses and contacts a year ago. The deal was that if I purchased the glasses, I would get a year supply of contacts free. The glasses took forever to come in. Also, I am pretty sure the contacts may have been defective. I had never had issues with my contacts previously (I had purchased from another place before). The contacts I purchased from Pearle, however, which were the same brand I had worn for years, really bothered my eyes. When I opened up a few of them, they were balled up inside the package. I thought that maybe my eyes had changed or something and after wearing this year supply for a year (and being uncomfortable) and running out, I went to my previous place and purchased contacts and have had no trouble since. Lesson learned, I will never buy from them again and would recommend not buying a year supply of contacts from them.

I remember going here as a kid but have moved away since. Came home to visit and had a great experience here. Staff was very friendly and helped to fix a frame that they were not able to order. They seem pretty busy so an appointment is probably a good idea.
