I had a few sailor moon animation cels to get framed and I was nervous about selecting someone who would be able to handle them with care.The team at j Rollins are that team. They were so nice and had a great attention to detail to make these pieces shine. I really appreciate everything they did for me and can’t wait to get the other frames finished. They had amazing ideas that I even didn’t think of. They seemed to be willing to work with all price points.I recommend to call ahead and try to plan a time to meet since the shop can get busy.

I had something framed online and it arrived with a gap around it - brought it in to J Rollins and they were amazing (even though I had had it framed elsewhere!). They came up with a great solution at a reasonable price and fixed it up so it looked amazing. He was sweetly enthusiastic about the piece of art and couldn’t have been nicer. They are consummate professionals and do wonderful work! I’ll go there first next time.

J Rollins Art of Framing handled my request with aplomb:I needed to have a print ready in time for my grandmothers 91st birthday – a week and 2 business days away. They estimated it might take 3 weeks because the frame I chose (locally made by Northwest Frameworks) needed to be specially ordered.Well, I got a call just a week later saying my frame was ready to be picked up! Really enjoyed my experience here a few months ago! Working with the owner was so pleasant; he gave us lots of different options to choose from but it never came across as sales/business-like, because you could tell he was genuinely wanted to find what would work best for your print! The end product came out lovely. For the quality and service we got I would recommend this shop to anyone ☺️

Was in the shop today and was happy to see that only one customer at a time is allowed in the shop. I didnt mind waiting a few minutes while someone picked up work that was ready. Tad wiped the counters down and welcomed me in as they left with their finished project. He was awesome and helped me find just the right materials to frame my art. Cant wait to see the finished work.

I collect art and photographs and over the years I have used pretty much every framing service in Portland. I recently returned from a decade of working in the Middle East and wanted to frame a painting I brought home with me. So I took my painting to Joanne, the owner, and had an amazing experience in the process of selecting a frame. Joanne is an artist and has a superb eye for design. We have been to a number of picture framers over the years, and we only recently discovered J Rollins based on their great reviews. Based on our experience, they are the best, hands down. Their expertise and care in helping you choose the right frame for the piece is the best weve seen. They clearly care a lot about their work, and as another commenter said, they treat you as an equal partner in making your choices. The results are fantastic, yet the prices are reasonable. Joanne Rollins has an amazing eye! I love her framing designs and her sense of color. Because she is an artist herself I trust her instincts and the way she brings elements together. She has extensive experience working with all kinds of mediums and I know that the artwork I bring in will be handled carefully and professionally. There is always something new in her shop that I want to bring home - jewelry, hats, scarves, gloves, and work by local artists.

This place has so much character and class. Joanne Rollins has clearly poured herself into this shop and her work. When you walk in she has art all over the walls and really neat crafts and bangles for sale. She works from a table right in the middle of her shop and welcomes you in like its her living room. I pulled out my piece to show her and she treated it like treasure with so much care and respect. We talked through a whole bunch of options and samples and she found things that brought out the color of the image so well. I cant believe how great she had it looking by the end. The final framed piece is hanging in our living room and will be an important object in our lives for a long time. I couldnt be happier. Just go into this shop and see. Shell take great care of you.

Joanne did an amazing job with a sentimental, one-of-a-kind large format print & I was only too happy to take two more pieces of art to her a couple months later. She will take the time to go through dozens of frames and mattes until you find the one that suits your eye *exactly*. Youll never get someone with Joannes eye at a big-box or chain store.
